SURPRISE, SURPRISE–Jerusalem police arrest four ultra-Orthodox men in fake kollel scam

Men arrested for allegedly defrauding the Education Ministry of millions of shekels through a fictitious Torah study center.

ed note–pardon the salty language here, but WHAT A BUNCH OF GOD-DAMNED FREAKS–not my words, but the words of Jesus Christ.

Always scamming someone. Always corrupting whatever is in their vicinity for their own enrichment. No wonder Jesus referred to these people as children of the devil.

Jerusalem police have arrested three ultra-Orthodox men for allegedly defrauding the Education Ministry of millions of shekels through a fictitious Torah study center.

Following the arrests on Sunday a fourth man, from Jerusalem, was arrested yesterday in connection with the nonexistent center. Jerusalem police expect further arrests in the case.

The three men from Betar Ilit and Beit Shemesh are suspected of inventing a fictional kollel – a yeshiva for married men – and of pocketing the NIS 300 they received for each “student” every month from the Education Ministry.

Those whose names and identity card numbers were submitted to the ministry as students of the kollel told police they had no idea their names were being used.

“That’s NIS 300 a month multiplied by two years and dozens of ‘students,’” a police officer told Haaretz yesterday. “Do the math yourself.”

Police are expected this morning to request that the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court extend the the detention of the Betar Ilit and Beit Shemesh men.

The nonexistent study center, called Iyun Torah, was registered on the Education Ministry’s list of Beit Shemesh study centers.

The first three men were arrested following a complaint by an ultra-Orthodox man from Beit Shemesh who told police that he received a text message on his cell phone, telling him to arrive at the address of the fictional study center. The text message asked him to show up as soon as possible since the Education Ministry was about to conduct a surprise visit to the center. The man told the police he had never heard of the kollel and assumed it was a scam.

Yesterday police summoned for questioning ultra-Orthodox men who appeared on the lists submitted to the Education Ministry in the past two years.

Despite the fact that all those questioned denied they knew of the make-believe kollel or its heads, fraud unit investigators are not convinced that none of the listed men were aware of the scam. Investigators believe the fact that a text message was sent could indicate a system of cooperation between the heads of the fictitious center and some of the men.

Police are also checking whether the arrested men had a contact inside the Education Ministry, as in other similar scams that were uncovered in recent years.

Hamas–Israel using Gaza as trial run for Iran strike

Israel is using the the Gaza Strip as a testing ground for a possible military strike on its arch foe Iran, the head of the Palestinian movement Hamas said on Monday.

“Israel is warming up the region for a possible war against Iran,” Khaled Meshaal said in an interview with Turkey’s Anatolia news agency.

Accusing Israel of pursuing “state terrorism” in Gaza, Meshaal defended the Islamist group’s firing of rockets into southern Israel from the impoverished coastal strip which is run by Hamas.

“The only purpose of these rockets is to defend ourselves. Israel is attacking us and naturally our brothers in Gaza are exercising their right to self-defence,” said Meshaal, who is the head of the powerful Hamas politburo.

Militants in Gaza reached a truce with Israel last week after four days of violence in which 25 Gazans died and 200 rockets were fired at the Jewish state.

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has consistently warned that he will not tolerate a nuclear-armed Iran, saying the country had a “duty to defend” itself from any existential threat.

During an unannounced visit to Turkey, Meshaal met on Friday with Turkey’s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Although Turkey was once seen as Israel’s closest ally in the Muslim world, relations have chilled under Erdogan who has been particularly outspoken in his criticism of Israel’s bombing of Gaza.

Hamas is considered a terrorist organisation by Israel and many Western countries, but not by Turkey.

The head of the Hamas government in Gaza, Ismail Haniya, received an enthusiastic welcome on a visit to Turkey in January as part of his first regional tour.

The Tyranny of Titty

How many times is the Daily Mail going to
try to titillate us with so-and-so’s “bikini figure?”
How many times is Jay Leno going to mention sex
in his monologue?

by Henry Makow Ph.D.

So long as the love, even the smallest, of man toward woman is not destroyed, so long is his mind in bondage as the calf that drinks milk is to his mother.” –Buddha

There is no “matrix” more onerous than the one that enslaves us to our reproductive instincts and make sexual intercourse the purpose of life.

The Illuminati (Satanic) mass media has addicted us to sex by portraying sexual dissipation as “sexual liberation.” This mental deviance is a form of satanic possession.

How many times ithe Daily Mail going to try to titillate us with so-and-so’s “bikini figure?” How many times is Jay Leno going to mention sex in his monologue?

Is it humanity’s destiny to be a broken record droning on for eternity?? Is this what we were created for?

I am a champion of healthy heterosexuality: sex within the context of love, courtship, marriage and family.

But heterosexuality has been degraded to the level of pornography.

A woman on Salon Personals advertises: “Q: Why should you get to know me? A: My mind is as dirty as subway platform.”

That’s Satanism, where ugly becomes beautiful and viceversa.

A 22-year-old Swedish man writes: “Most of my friends see women as the holy grail. Pretty much their whole existence is based around “getting laid”. Its like we are devolving into animals. Maybe that is their goal. And if you’re not getting women, you are a loser…

The media gives young men a hugely exaggerated view of the benefits a woman offers. This becomes an obstacle as he puts them on a pedestal and immediately loses their respect. These days women are too confused to know anything. The young man has to make the decisions but the women won’t let him. Heterosexuality has been subverted and natural development arrested.

When are men (and women) going to admit that we have been hypnotized?

Anonymous sex is degrading. not pleasurable. Promiscuous women are not attractive. Feminine beauty is a function of purity and innocence

How often are women going to undress until men no longer care? They have seen it so many times. How often can women unwrap the same old gift?

Sex divorced from love is an empty, dehumanizing experience. Breasts become weapons of war, not love. They don’t carry the milk of life. They are filled with silicon. Death.

Society’s idealization of the fertile female is not normal. It is sycophantic, primitive and pagan —  Cabalist Magick,  i.e. brainwashing.

Ladies, show us something we haven’t seen in some time, qualities that make a woman a good wife and mother, ones that differentiate you from other women.

These include an ability to love a man, and children. Qualities of personality, charm, modesty, humor, taste, style, character, intelligence, homemaking skills.

In many cultures, breasts aren’t sexual at all. For example, women in Mali  go around with bare breasts. They’re always feeding their babies.

When they were told that Western men are fascinated with breasts, they burst out laughing. They laughed so hard, they fell on the floor. They said, “You mean, men act like babies?” (Carolyn Latteier, Breasts, The Women’s Perspective on an American Obsession”)

There is something decadent and senile about a society obsessed with titties.

(Titties come in all sizes. Note the shark’s fin in the background.)

Why is this happening? Why are we stunted at the level of adolescents?

The Protocols of the Elders of Zion (15-20) holds the answer:

20.” Our government will have the appearance of a paternal patriarchal guardianship on the part of our ruled.

They will then be so thoroughly imbued with the thought that it is impossible for them to dispense with this wardship and guidance…They will be rejoiced that we have regulated everything in their lives as is done by wise parents who desire to train children in the cause of duty and submission. For the peoples of the world …  are … only children under age, precisely as are also their governments.”

Individually and collectively, human development is being arrested at the adolescent stage.

Our Illuminati masters have a vision for humanity that excludes our higher development. We are their cattle.

Jewish Proper Prayers for today’s Problems

Yona Metzger: A holy man for all Judeo-Christians

1. Well goys and girls, things are really fucked up. You know it, I know it, and the murderous assholes who run the world know it. We’re fucked but there is at least one thing we can do. We can pray.  And as a public service to all of you (known as tikkun olam, hebrew for CYA), we here at Mantiq al-Tayr have found a beautiful prayer for you to recite. Really beautifully composed by one of the world’s great spiritual leaders. No, I’m not talking about the Reverend Ted Pike, besides he is too busy watching TV these days, nor am I talking about some dumb ass grand moooofti in Saudi Arabia or Egypt, nor something from an OmyGodattolah from the land of the Great Boogeyman, nope. Something much better and more relevant and very American.

Yes, goys and girls, here is a prayer you can say for Jonathan Pollard.  It’s a lovely prayer. Seems to be used a lot according to this page:

Many synagogues – including all of those belonging to the (orthodox) Young Israel Synagogues, affiliated with the national religious movement – have announced that they will adopt the prayer written by the Chief Rabbi for Pollard who is jailed in America for espionage on behalf of Israel. The synagogues say they will recite the prayer every Shabbat, after the Torah reading, along with the Pra yer for the State of Israel and the Prayer for the Success of Israel’s Soldiers and Security.

The prayer was written by that chief Ashkenazi Rabbi of Israel, Yona Metzger back in 2004. The prayer is very much supported by that fine organization, the National Council of Young Israel, a 501(c)(3) featured on Mantiq al-Tayr in the past.  As the NCYI says:

The National Council of Young Israel urges people to say a prayer on behalf of Jonathan Pollard, which was composed by Rabbi Yonah Metzger, the Chief Rabbi of Israel.

So I call on everyone who does not want to be called a “jew hater” or an “anti-semite” or a “supporter of Gilad Atzmon” to recite this prayer every Saturday, or Friday night, or both, or Friday at noon, or Sunday morning, or all of these combined.

Here’s the prayer.

Let Us Prey

For those of you who do not know the official language of these United States, I provide it for you in English translation, courtesy of the Justice for Jonathan Pollard website.

Prayer for Jonathan Pollard

May He who blessed our forefathers

Avraham, Yitzhak, and Yaacov,

Moshe and Aharon, David and Shlomo

who did so much on behalf of the Nation which dwells in Zion.

May the Holy One Blessed-Be-He protect him and save him

from all anguish and distress and from all affliction and illness.

And speedily release him in complete freedom and grant him the merit to go up to Zion joyfully,

And bestow blessing and success upon all the work of his hands.

May he merit long life and may his years be blessed with abundant strength and peace.

For the sake of all of the congregation praying for him

and in this merit may the Holy One Blessed-Be-He bestow mercy upon him,

strengthen him, and end his distress.

Our Father in Heaven may it be Your will

that our prayers and requests come before Your merciful throne

And in the merit of the forefathers redeem the sons,

and realize for him the verse

“Take my soul out of confinement to praise Your name”

Speedily in our day, amain.

2. Okay, I can hear it now, “Mantiq, you have no business translating “tikkun Olem” as “CYA”. There are plenty of folks who take the term very seriously and try to do good in this world.”

Yeah, I know, and I wish them well. But I’d like to see them say “Enough is enough, no more Zionism.” Then the world might become a much better place.

Not gonna happen.  Deal with it. But I digress.

3. Maybe the video below should be named Good Jewish Bitches? Sounds like a great title for a TV show.

Permission to examine “Jewishness”

A response to Ali Abunimah’s attack on Gilad Atzmon

by Rich Siegel

Following in the footsteps of Israel Shahak and the Israeli League for Human and Civil Rights, many humanists have questioned the political ideology stemming from Jewish religion and culture. This is a delicate debate since it can be exploited for anti-Semitic purposes, hence the importance of approaching it rationally. The controversy that surrounded Shahak is blazing again today around Gilad Atzmon, whose last book is disseminated by Voltaire Network. Without taking a position with respect to his  arguments, all of which deserve to be presented and discussed, we reaffirm the legitimacy of this debate. From his vantage point, U.S. musician Rich Siegel deplores the witch hunt unleashed against Atzmon, including from unexpected quarters, and all those who take an interest in this issue. He calls for a deeper reflection and mutual respect.

Voltaire Network   | 20 March 2012

Rich Siegel In-fighting is characteristic of progressive movements.  On the right things are much easier.  They want a “survival-of-the-fittest” society, small government, low taxes, no safety- net, no brown-skinned people crossing our borders,  the right to unlimited profits un-hampered by any oversight or regulations, the right to claim foreign natural resources and to take advantage of cheap foreign labor, and when foreign leaders are not easily subjugated, the right to wage war in the name of “freedom” and “liberty” and “democracy” while waving the flag.   The program is quite simple and so agreement is easily found.

Problems occur when someone like Sarah Palin is put in a position of high visibility, and has to be coached on information she should have learned in high school, or when they have to decide whether Mormon candidate Mitt Romney qualifies as Christian.  But issues like these are relatively manageable, and all they need is a common adversary to embrace unity over their minute differences.   For example it’s easy for them to agree that Obama is a Socialist, even though he more closely resembles a Reagan Republican, because he’s a member of the Democratic Party and they want to beat him.

On the left, however, where activists become active because they actually care about humanity and the planet; care about universal values of peace, justice, human rights, environmental sustainability, and the like, all hell breaks loose on a regular basis.  This is because there are many varied perceptions as to what qualifies as fair, just, and balanced, and many varied opinions as to  how to achieve these things.  It often seems that shades of meaning have monumental ramifications, and degrees to the left, in increments, often translate to irreconcilable differences. Rich Siegel with Gilad Atzmon I played a concert with saxophonist/author Gilad Atzmon in Geneva, New York last night, a benefit for the Deir Yassin Remembered scholarship fund.  (Put into perspective, two Jews playing a concert, unpaid, to raised money to send Palestinian kids to college.)   This morning we happened to meet before breakfast in the hallway of our motel.  He said,  “I have to show you something.  You won’t believe this.”  We entered his room, he opened his lap-top, and set his browser on a link to a sort of a treatise, a declaration, prepared by Ali Abunimah and signed by various activists, entitled “Palestinian Writers, Activists, Disavow Racism and Anti-Semitism of Gilad Atzmon”. [1] [2]

What has Gilad Atzmon done to inspire this very extreme action?  He has examined, and written about, the issue of “Jewishness”, about HIS “Jewishness”, and about mine.

Why is this objectionable?   Some explanation is required.  Zionists have long sought to equate Zionism with Judaism.  As usual, the right wing has a simplistic ideology:  By equating these two “ism’s”, Zionists are able to justify the position that opposition to Zionism means “Anti-Semitism”.  Supporters of the liberation of Palestine strenuously object to this, and rightly so.  But it seems that many have adopted an equally simplistic view to combat it:  Since Zionism and Judaism are NOT the same thing, and since Zionism is the direct cause of the problem, Judaism and Jewish culture are placed out of bounds, taboo, don’t touch them.  We don’t want to be called “Anti-Semites”, and we need our Jewish allies in the movement.

The problem with this simplistic view is that it in this case simplicity is not elegant.   The reality is that Judaism and Zionism are indeed two different things.   But paradoxically, while Judaism specifically forbids Zionism (according to the interpretation I personally accept), Zionism is also clearly rooted in Judaism and in aspects of Jewish culture which are also clearly rooted in Judaism.

It is important to make the distinction between Judaism and Jewish culture because many Jews, and among them many Zionists, are secular and even anti-religious, and yet embrace their Jewish identity as central to who they are.   It is also important to make the observation that Jewish religion informs secular Jewish culture, even if unconsciously so.  Up until about 1780 there were no secular Jews.  There was only Orthodox Judaism, and that influence remains, this even among the significant population who are atheists identifying as Jews and embracing Zionism.   I am personally a product of that culture.  As both Zionism and Jewish identity are embraced both by large numbers of religious Jews and large numbers of anti-religious Jews, we are left with the problem of what to call their Jewish commonality.  Thus  “Jewishness”.

On the religious end of the spectrum, we find Orthodox Jewish Zionist rabbis and Orthodox Jewish Anti-Zionist rabbis, both groups spending much of their lives in study of Jewish holy books, and both groups, when they are not studying, pointing their fingers at each other and shouting “Torah Ignoramus!”  This is a debate that the uninitiated are not permitted to enter, and initiation consists of life-long dedication to study of Jewish holy texts.   There is no choice but to allow them this ongoing fight.

On the secular end of the spectrum are less religious Jews, members of Reform and Reconstructionist synagogues who may or may not be atheists, members of atheist synagogues- yes you read that right- there are “Humanist” synagogues that hold  “services” to serve their “Jewishness” rather than God, and finally many Jews who are not members of synagogues at all.   Many secular Jews are strongly Zionist and place a very high value on their Jewish identity.   So, there is a wide variety of religious belief and observance among Jews, and yet what they all have in common is the valuing of Jewish identity- of “Jewishness”.  The difference between the religious and the secular is that the religious understand the origin of the components of cultural Jewishness, and the secular most often do not.

When I was seven years old a little girl in my 2nd grade class told me, “My daddy said you killed Jesus.”  I told her I had never killed anyone.  I was upset enough about this accusation that I told my parents about it, and they were duly horrified.  For many years I attributed this to “classic Anti-Semitism”.  I had experienced the misfortune, at a very tender age, of having been victimized with this horrible accusation, which has been leveled against Jews since the dawn of Christianity.

So imagine my astonishment when, many years later, in 2006, I read about  Swedish peace-worker Tove Johansson’s experience.  She was escorting Palestinian school-children past crowds of hostile Jewish settlers in Hebron, when the settlers began chanting “We killed Jesus, we’ll kill you, too.”  They smashed a bottle over her face, causing severe injuries.  There are also various other accounts of Jewish settlers proudly taking responsibility for the murder of Jesus, something that I had always assumed was a false accusation, leading me to investigate.  I found in the writing of Jewish-Israeli scholar Israel Shahak that there is actually a Talmudic mandate for this claim.    I also found that while it seems that relatively few Jews are aware of Shahak’s writing, many of those who are hate him passionately, although none have ever presented me with an actual argument confronting his claims.

I came to support the Palestinian cause after first having come to an awareness of some dramatic problems in the Jewish culture in which I was raised.   I grew up in a Reform synagogue where many atheist Jews, and some who had religious beliefs, attended to affirm their Jewish identity, to raise their children with Jewish identity, and to support Israel.    I was presented with the idea that it was a privilege to be a member of a universally despised people, who were hated for no reason at all, and who were more intelligent and moral than others.  And I was told that Israel had never harmed anyone, that the Arabs just hated Jews for no reason, just like everyone hates Jews for no reason.

Having come to believe in God as a young adult, I had to go back to re-examine the Judaism, or more accurately, the “Jewishness” I was raised with, and clearly identified idolatry: the worship of the twin idols of Jewish identity and Israel.  And I began to move away from what I identified as the Jewish identity cult.  Even with that awareness,  I was so completely indoctrinated in Zionist propaganda,  that I did not question the things that I had been told.   For example, I did not question the story  of Jews who wanted to be friendly neighbors to the Arabs, and of Arab leaders who, in 1948, made radio broadcasts of orders for their people to get out temporarily, while they intended to drive the Jews into the sea.   Why should we let them return when they wanted to annihilate us like Hitler?

I understand that Jewish activists for Palestine come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, and that there are those who do not have the same needs as I do.  I know there are those who would like to support Palestine while embracing their Jewish identity and some who additionally wish to embrace Jewish religion at various levels of observance.  But that’s not me, and I will not allow Ali Abunimah and a list of bullies to tell me that I have no right to intellectual inquiry into my religion and culture.   Of course, their objections are targeted at Gilad Atzmon, not me.  But when they say it about him, they are, by extension, saying it about me, and those like me- those of us who have to struggle to come to terms with having been lied to all our lives.

When I finally came to understand the depth of the criminality of Zionism, and I came to that realization in my middle age, my response was not, “Oh my God, let’s fix this while we protect Judaism and Jewish identity from those who would like to make a connection.”  Not at all.  My response was a more natural and obvious one:  “Oh my God!  What kind of sickness do I come from?”   I have the right to ask that question, and to search for answers.   I have the right to talk to the seven year old victim of “Anti-Semitism” who still lives inside me, and help him to understand his experience.

Back in the 80’s in an interview on the American television show 60 Minutes, Mike Wallace confronted Meir Kahane, the infamous Brooklyn rabbi, now deceased, who became an Israeli Knesset member and an advocate for the expulsion of all Arabs from all of historic Palestine (both “Israeli Arabs” and Arabs living in the occupied territories), about a law he proposed.

Wallace :  “You proposed a law for the Knesset to pass against Arabs that’s really astonishingly identical to the Nuremberg laws of the Nazis under Adolf Hitler.” Kahane:  “Mr. Wallace, one of the problems of Jews is that they wouldn’t know a Jewish concept if they tripped over one.  I merely quoted from the Talmud.  Most Jews think Judaism is Thomas Jefferson.  It’s not.”

I was raised in a “Jewishness”  which presumed to be something very different from what it was.   And in that pretense it had me donating to plant trees in Israel, and receiving Israel bonds as bar mitzvah presents.  It had me joining Zionist youth groups and becoming president of one, and it had me living and working in Israel during my 20’s, all while believing a system of lies.  I have the right to examine the cult that lied to me, the cult that I have survived and left.

I think I speak for everyone who supports the Palestinian cause, including both Atzmon and his detractors alike, when I say that I believe that the first priority for all of us is to stop Zionists from killing the next Palestinian child.  How to accomplish this?  I think if any of us knew, we would lie, steal, cheat, do whatever it might take.  But we don’t know.   Does placing limits on parameters of acceptable ideology help to accomplish this goal?  Does censorship, censure, expulsion, ex-communication?  These are the things that this edict against Atzmon is attempting to accomplish.   Does it actually accomplish anything or is it just divisive?  Are the Zionists enjoying watching a split among the pro-Palestine camp?

Clearly requiring certain parameters is reasonable.  For example, there are those who sympathize with both the cause of white supremacy and with the Palestinian cause.  Those people would do the most good for Palestine by staying as far away from the cause as possible, and they should be shunned and avoided.  But that’s not who Atzmon is, or who I am.    There is no racism here.  There is simply examination of the religion and culture that produced Zionism. Ali Abunimah (L) and Gilad Atzmon.  Mr. Abunimah is a Palestinian-American journalist, founder of Electronic Intifada. Abunimah puts words in Atzmon’s mouth:

“…one cannot self-describe as a Jew and also do work in solidarity with Palestine, because to identify as a Jew is to be a Zionist.”

I fail to see how this attitude can be attributed to Atzmon when he openly speaks of the Neturei Karta Orthodox Anti-Zionist Jews.  But again, a simplistic interpretation would be lacking.  The fact of the existence of Anti-Zionist Jews should not be taken as evidence that Zionism is not connected with Judaism, Jewish culture, or “Jewishness”.    The Neturei Karta also believe in exile from this land and return to it, just not at the present time under present circumstances.

I understand that from the Palestinian point of view, many consider inquiry into “Jewishness” superfluous.  They just want Zionism to end, and this is reasonable.  But why won’t it end?  The UN passed Resolution 194 64 years ago, and re-ratified it numerous times.  Why have the refugees not been allowed back?  There have been various “peace processes”.  Why is there no peace?  American administrations have been pressuring to end settlement expansion for decades.  Why are settlements still expanding?  What is behind the almost super-human capacity for Zionist belligerence?  for Zionist disingenuousness?   Why is it that the world governments look the other way and pretend it isn’t going on?  And how is it possible that America is fighting wars for Israel?   How is it possible that for all of my life I’ve been listening to my people whine over the holocaust while failing to admit that any crimes were committed in Palestine?   How deep is a cult that was able to hide from me, one of its children, the ethnic cleansing of Palestine for most of my life?

For those who want to insist that Zionism is some bizarre aberration that grew out of an otherwise healthy Jewish culture and religion, that’s fine for them.  Having been lied to all my life, I wanted to know what Kahane meant when he sneered at me and told me I wouldn’t know a Jewish idea if I tripped over it.   And now I know.   Certainly I have the right to free inquiry, and to the expression of ideas, and so does Gilad Atzmon.

If there are those who dislike Atzmon’s ideas, they are free to write their own and express disagreement.  They are free to state that Atzmon does not represent them.  But to organize a list of those who agree to disavow him is disgraceful, and in my opinion does not serve the cause.  There should be a retraction and an apology.

Pentagon says it has no records of bin Laden’s death; CIA hasn’t answered open records request

The hunt for Osama bin Laden took nearly a decade. It could take even longer to uncover U.S. government emails, planning reports, photographs and more that would shed light on how an elite team of Navy SEALs killed the world’s most wanted terrorist.

Ten months after that electrifying covert mission, an administration that has pledged to be the most transparent in American history is refusing to release documents about it under the Freedom of Information Act. The records could provide insights into how bin Laden died, how the U.S. verified his identity and how it decided to bury him at sea, as well as photographs taken during and after the May 2011 raid on his compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

Government officials have openly discussed details of the mission in speeches, interviews and television appearances, but the administration won’t disclose records that would confirm their narrative of that fateful night. The Obama administration has not said even where in Washington’s bureaucracy all the documents might be stored.

Requests for bin Laden materials were among the most significant of any filed last year under the open records law, which compels the government to turn over copies of federal records for free or at little cost. Anyone who seeks information under the law is generally supposed to get it unless disclosure would hurt national security, violate personal privacy or expose business secrets or confidential decision-making. The law has been the focus of extra attention since Sunday, the start of Sunshine Week, when news organizations promote open government and freedom of information.

Citing the law, The Associated Press asked for files about the raid in more than 20 separate requests, mostly submitted the day after bin Laden’s death. The Pentagon told the AP this month it could not locate any photographs or video taken during the raid or showing bin Laden’s body. It also said it could not find any images of bin Laden’s body on the Navy aircraft carrier where the al-Qaida leader’s body was taken.

The Pentagon said it could not find any death certificate, autopsy report or results of DNA identification tests for bin Laden, or any pre-raid materials discussing how the government planned to dispose of bin Laden’s body if he were killed. It said it searched files at the Pentagon, U.S. Special Operations Command in Tampa, Fla., and the Navy command in San Diego that controls the USS Carl Vinson, the aircraft carrier used in the mission.

The Defense Department told the AP in late February it could not find any emails about the bin Laden mission or his “Geronimo” code name that were sent or received in the year before the raid by William McRaven, the three-star admiral at the Joint Special Operations Command who organized and oversaw the mission. It also could not find any emails from other senior officers who would have been involved in the mission’s planning. It found only three such emails written by or sent to then-Defense Secretary Robert Gates, and these consisted of 12 pages sent to Gates summarizing news reports after the raid.

Under the FOIA, even if a document contains secrets about national security, the government can censor those passages but must release anything else in the document that is “reasonably segregable.”

The information blackout means that the only public accounts of the mission come from U.S. officials who have described details of that night. In the hours and days after bin Laden’s death, the White House provided conflicting versions of events, falsely saying that bin Laden was armed and even firing at the SEALs, misidentifying which of bin Laden’s sons was killed, and incorrectly saying bin Laden’s wife died in the shootout. President Barack Obama’s press secretary attributed the errors to the “fog of combat.”

Since then, no authoritative or contemporaneous records have been made available. For the Obama administration, the book on bin Laden appears to be closed.

The Pentagon is refusing even to confirm or deny the existence of helicopter maintenance logs and reports about the performance of military gear used in the raid. One of the stealth helicopters that carried the SEALs to Abbottabad crashed during the mission and its wreckage was left behind. People who lived near bin Laden’s compound took photos of the disabled chopper as it straddled one of the high walls surrounding the building. The photos showed a unique tail rotor that aviation experts said was designed to avoid radar detection.

On the AP’s request for the helicopter records and equipment reports, the Defense Department invoked what is known as a “Glomar response.” The reference dates to the 1970s when the CIA refused to confirm or deny the existence of the Glomar Explorer, a ship the agency used in the attempted salvage of a sunken Soviet submarine.

The AP is appealing the Defense Department’s decision. The CIA, which ran the bin Laden raid and has special legal authority to keep information from ever being made public, still has not responded to AP’s request for records about the mission.

The CIA has photographs of video recordings of bin Laden taken during the operation. In the days after the raid, select U.S. lawmakers were invited to visit a secure room at CIA headquarters to view more than a dozen of the images, including pictures of bin Laden’s body. They were not allowed to take copies of the photos back to Capitol Hill.

Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said he viewed one photo that showed brain matter coming out of bin Laden’s eye socket. Inhofe said others were taken as the body was being prepared for burial at sea and were less jarring. He said Thursday that he favors making at least a few of the less graphic photos public to dispel any doubts that bin Laden is dead.

“There are probably still people out there who don’t think he was killed,” Inhofe said.

Federal courts consistently have upheld the government’s use of the Glomar response, which is different from refusing to disclose materials. Citing Glomar often happens in national security cases or is used to protect an individual’s privacy. It’s a tough legal claim to beat in court.

The former director of the Justice Department’s Office of Information and Privacy, Dan Metcalfe, said the Pentagon overplayed its position. Citing Glomar in AP’s case means the fact that the military performs maintenance on helicopters or that it prepares reports about weapons performance is itself classified, he said. The Pentagon’s claim is so broad that it “collapses of its own weight,” Metcalfe said.

Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog group, has sued the administration in federal court to force the release of photos and video of bin Laden. The AP has not sued to force the government to turn over the broader range of materials it has requested.

In the Judicial Watch lawsuit, federal officials acknowledged that the CIA has more than 50 photographs and video recordings of bin Laden’s body taken after the raid and during his burial at sea. The director of the CIA’s National Clandestine Service, John Bennett, said in a court declaration last year that many of the photographs and video recordings are “quite graphic, as they depict the fatal bullet wound to (bin Laden) and other similarly gruesome images of his corpse.”

Judicial Watch has disputed the Obama administration’s argument that American personnel and secrets will be at risk if the images are released. It called the concern over violence against Americans stationed overseas “hypothetical speculation” and said it is hard to understand how a photo of bin Laden being buried at sea would expose sensitive equipment or personnel.

The U.S. Special Operations Command, which oversees the Navy SEALs and other commando units, keeps tight rein on information about their equipment, training and missions. In August 2007, it denied a request by the AP for an internal report on the Battle of Mogadishu, a military operation in Somalia in October 1993 that cost 18 American troops their lives.

The command told AP that the report was still classified, even though the battle, better known as “Black Hawk Down,” was the subject of books, a movie and countless military studies. Under AP’s appeal, the command eventually released a copy with all but nine of the 73 pages completely blacked out. Most of the information remains secret, the command said, to protect military plans, weapon systems and the privacy of individuals involved.

In other cases, the government has revealed more. Just four months after Operation Eagle Claw, the failed attempt in 1980 to rescue 53 U.S. hostages in Iran, the Pentagon released an unclassified version of an investigation about what went wrong. The forward to the 87-page report noted the importance of providing as much detail as possible to the American public.

More recently, the National Security Archive, a private research institute at George Washington University, waited three years for the government to hand over records describing the military’s initial plans for invading Iraq. A series of slides, prepared under the codename Polo Step, showed that war planners believed in August 2002 that the U.S. would have only 5,000 troops left in Iraq by December 2006.

Exploiting the Murders – Who Profits?

The Sad Three Ring Circus Moves into the Ten Ring Version

by  Jim W. Dean, VT Editor

Update: 12 pm, 03-22-12. Gunman killed in final shootout. Confusion reigns on earlier background reports. French claiming they were not aware of his earlier arrests in Afghanistan, bombing making and prison escape.

American military had claimed they had picked him up and turned him over to the French NATO people and he had been repatriated back home. It appears some further investigation will be needed to straighten it all out, or for everybody to get their stories straight.

Note: Media had previously reported several times that he had surrendered.

News is now reporting the shooting suspect in custody. But already being revealed is that he had been ‘known’ to security services.  So we are looking at a huge failure of French security. Expect to see some fancy dancing soon.

Last night it was reported that the brother of the shooter had contacted a motorcycle shop about disabling the GPS tracking device on the Yamaha model of the stolen motor cycle.

Also, reported by Jewish news sources that Neo Nazi groups were going to be put under close scrutiny…those folks always trying to tie in any of their usual bogeymen on these types of events.

The feature image I used was of the original suspects who were cleared after interviews and having served their initial purpose. A review of timing events will show that French authorities were already focusing in on another suspect. So the Neo-Nazi thing was just a cheap diversion.

Looking deeper into things, professionally, without an agenda to push, here is what we see:

Unnecessary Special Ops people who are not investigators – just wandering around so they can be in the photographs

For someone under a counter terrorism watch to be riding around on a stolen motorcycle (despite being painted) and having accumulated a pile of weapons is a five star failure of intelligence.

There seems to have been an effort on the part of the shooter to steer the authorities on dead end chases through picking false flag victims which took advantage of the ‘usual suspects’ on the French landscape.

The initial soldier shooting had a Basque group signature to it as they have targeted police and military in the past.

The second attack, again on minority soldiers, triggered an interest in ‘far right’ suspects, which was politically exploited instantly by the Left wanting to taint French Right candidates.

The third attack on the Jewish School, again gave the shooter more cover of a Neo-Nazi far right group involvement.

French authorities now are trying to focus that the attack was ‘on the French Army’…when they have not been a high profile target in the WOT. Despite the suspect’s now widely reported claims of being and Al Queda bomber, not a soul has asked yet why was his past talent not used in the attacks, especially if his target was the French Army.

Gone miraculously now are the initial claims of NeoNazi involvement.

And the Israelis, never slow in exploiting killings anyway possible, are suggesting to French Jews that the only place they can really be safe is in Israel. They didn’t even wait until the bodies were buried. I wonder where they think the victims of Israeli state terrorism should go?

Jewish victims being quickly exported to the Israeli media event so they can get in on the publicity

The dead Jewish victims traveling almost by magic carpet back to a instantly arranged public relations burial in a country born under State terrorism, where many of their early national leaders were Irgun leaders, and revered now as national hereos.

They have run some of the most extensive state run terrorism operations on the planet, but by know means alone.

Our Intel sources consistently inform us that 85% of all terrorist attacks are state sponsored and with western nations deeply involved in using them as false flag tools for exploiting their own publics.

Our own 911 is being widely discussed now in the Intel community has having had inside involvement from some of our known shadow government hoodlums, in and out of government and some overseas buddies of theirs.

So despite the claims of barbarism by all, we see a public relations ‘barbarism’ in play by many trying to exploit these crimes to their own benefit.

And of course, no mention of the French mass murders and torture for many years in Algeria. We have a selective memory and focus orgy on steroids going on here, everyone fighting for ‘special victim’ status.

I wonder where they might have gotten an idea like that, since the position is currently occupied.

Meanwhile, other slaughters continue day after day with hardly a footnote of international concern. It seems they ride, permanently, in the back of the bus…while someone else  rides, permanently, in the front.

They even gave him a crazy man costume to wear- with necklace

Andrew Brevick was a non Jewish arch-Zionist who admired their pure blood line theory which goes back to the German Zionists wanting to copy the Ayrian race purity thing.

We have already had ten times the media coverage of these unfortunate Jewish school children and for the 60+ killed by Brevick, who just happened to belong to a political group that supported Palestinian rights.

In his case there was a quick linking him to a far right English group, while the blinders went on about his love for Israel.

Norway seems to have decided at a crazy Brevick is the best way to tidy up all the loose ends, like those others arrested shortly after the event which we never heard anything about afterwards.

I doubt the French shooter will find the crazy route open to him. The Army sergeant recently back from the Afghanistan mini My Lai incident has availed himself of the ‘I can’t remember anything about it’ defense…always my favorite.

If anyone out there wants to ask me if I smell an ‘operation’ going on here in the final days of the French Presidential campaign, with Sarkozy behind…the answer is ‘yes I do’.  And I am sure I am not alone among my cohorts.

Yes, color me suspicious. Monitoring a bad guy operation in progress, only to let it go through so that a well timed big bust with huge publicity can be taken advantage of is an old ‘dark forces’ tactic.  I am aware of a case in _____ where a mail watch was on a unpopular political dissident there, and when a mail bomb came in they allowed it to go through. Nasty, nasty.

Before the victims are cold, the political terrorists and Israel are hard at work taking advantage of the killings as best they can.  There is of course a difference between them and the shooter.  The shooter has fewer victims.

It is such a shame that we don’t have a reality TV game show where we can all vote on which degenerates gets water boarded on camera for an hour. It would be so wonderful to look forward to.

Updated video report. Toward the end it mentions that they were focusing in on this guy a week ago, through his phone conversation and monitoring his brother’s internet traffic. This report also states French authorities knew he had been to Afghanistan and arrested there.

I have not found a report yet where any mention has been made of his being a suspect back a week ago, then how was he not under 24 hr surveillance so he could not strike again. Seems like an obvious question to ask. I mean he killed four more people with them hot on his trail. I remember days where you would be shot for a screw up like that.

Israel Remark Linking Gaza to Toulouse

JERUSALEM — Israel ’s leaders on Tuesday strongly censured the European Union’s foreign policy chief, Catherine Ashton , for remarks made a day earlier in which she was perceived as having equated the killing of three children at a Jewish school in France with the death of children during the fighting in Gaza.

Speaking at a conference onPalestinian  refugees in Brussels on Monday, hours after the attack in Toulouse, France, Ms. Ashton spoke of remembering “young people who have been killed in all sorts of terrible circumstances.”

In the transcript of her comments released by the European Union, she continues: “The Belgian children having lost their lives in a terrible tragedy, and when we think of what happened in Toulouse today, when we remember what happened in Norway a year ago, when we know what is happening in Syria, when we see what is happening in Gaza and in different parts of the world — we remember young people and children who lose their lives.”

A recording  of her comments and a transcript later released by Ms. Ashton’s office show slightly different wording and include a reference to children in Sderot, Israel, a target for rockets fired from Gaza. She finishes by saying, “When we see what is happening in Gaza and Sderot, in different parts of the world — we remember young people and children who lose their lives.”

There was no immediate reaction from Israel’s leaders after the recording, on the European Commission’s Web site, was reviewed Tuesday evening. An Israeli official who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the diplomatic sensitivity of the issue said of the corrected version of Ms. Ashton’s speech that she had still “made a potpourri of so many completely unrelated events — it was not her finest hour.”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said earlier that he was “infuriated” by what he called “the comparison between a deliberate massacre of children and the defensive, surgical actions” of the Israeli military that he said were “intended to hit terrorists who use children as a human shield.”

The interior minister, Eli Yishai, told Israel Radio that Ms. Ashton should not stay in her post and that her comments hurt the European Union’s ability to act as an honest broker between Israel and the Palestinians.

Israel’s defense minister, Ehud Barak, said, “The comparison made by Ashton between what is happening in Gaza to what happened in Toulouse, and what is going on in Syria every day, is outrageous and has absolutely no grounding in reality.”

Israel’s Foreign Ministry said the bodies of the victims of the attack in France were being brought to Israel for burial at the request of their families. The three children killed held dual French-Israeli nationality.

During a visit to Chengdu, China, Avigdor Lieberman, Israel’s foreign minister, described Ms. Ashton’s remarks as “unworthy.” He added that the children Ms. Ashton should have been thinking about were “the children of southern Israel who live in constant fear of rocket attacks launched from Gaza,” according to the Israeli Foreign Ministry.

After those criticisms, Ms. Ashton’s spokesman issued a statement saying that her words had been “grossly distorted” and that she had not intended to draw any parallel. The statement said that Ms. Ashton “strongly condemns the killings at the Ozar Hatorah school in Toulouse yesterday and extends her sympathies to the families and friends of the victims and to the people of France and the Jewish community.”

The statement said that her comments at the conference “referred to tragedies taking the lives of children around the world and drew no parallel whatsoever between the circumstances of the Toulouse attack and the situation in Gaza.”

In the latest cross-border violence between Israel and militant groups in Gaza, 26 Palestinians were killed over four days, according to the Israeli military. Most were militants, but four were civilians. A 12-year-old boy was among those killed in Israeli airstrikes; another boy, 14, was killed by explosives in disputed circumstances. In the same period, Palestinian militants fired over 150 rockets into southern Israel, none of which claimed a life.
