Ron Paul: Blind Support of IsraHell Leads to Unexpected Consequences

Nazi’s killing Palestinian’s

As of late Friday the ceasefire in Gaza seems to be holding, if tentatively. While we should be pleased that this round of fighting appears temporarily on hold, we must realize that without changes in U.S. foreign policy it is only a matter of time before the killing begins again.

It feels like 2009 all over again which is the last time this kind of violence broke out in Gaza. At that time over 1400 Palestinians were killed of which just 235 were combatants. The Israelis lost 13 of which 10 were combatants. At that time I said of then-President Bush’s role in the conflict:

It’s our money and our weapons but I think we encouraged it. Certainly the President has said nothing to diminish it. As a matter of fact, he justifies it on moral grounds saying “Oh, they have a right to do this” without ever mentioning the tragedy of Gaza. To me, I look at it like a concentration camp.

The U.S. role has not changed under the Obama administration. The same mistakes continue, as journalist Glenn Greenwald said last week. For years now U.S. financial, military and diplomatic support of Israel has been the central enabling force driving this endless conflict. The bombs Israel drops on the Gazans, and the planes that they use to drop them, and the weapons they use to occupy the West Bank and protect settlements are paid for, in substantial part, by the U.S. taxpayer.

Last week, as the fighting raged, President Obama raced to express U.S. support for the Israeli side in a statement that perfectly exemplifies the tragic comedy of U.S. foreign policy. He said, “No country on earth would tolerate rockets raining down on its citizens from outside its borders. Considering that this president rains down missiles on Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan and numerous other countries on a daily basis, the statement was so hypocritical that it didn’t pass the laugh test, and it wasn’t funny.

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton traveled to Tel Aviv to meet with Israeli Prime minister Netanyahu, but she refused to meet with the elected Palestinian leaders. Clinton said upon arrival in Israel, “America’s commitment to Israel’s security is rock-solid and unwavering.” Does this sound like an honest broker?

At the same time, Congress acted with similar ignobility when an unannounced resolution was brought to the House floor after the business of the week had been finished, and in less than 30 seconds the resolution was passed by unanimous consent without debate and without most representatives even having heard of it. The resolution H.Res. 813 was so one-sided it is not surprising they didn’t want anyone to have the chance to read and vote on it. Surely at least a handful of my colleagues would have objected to language like:

The House of Representatives expresses unwavering commitment to the security of the state of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state with secure borders.

U.S. foreign policy being so one-sided actually results in more loss of life and of security on both sides. Surely Israelis do not enjoy the threat of missiles from Gaza, nor do the Palestinians enjoy their Israeli-imposed inhumane conditions in Gaza.

As long as Israel can count on its destructive policies being underwritten by the U.S. taxpayer it can continue to engage in reckless behavior, and as long as the Palestinians feel the one-sided U.S. policy lined up against them, they will continue to resort to more and more deadly and desperate measures.

Continuing to rain down missiles on so many increasingly resentful nations, the U.S. is undermining rather than furthering its security. We are on a collision course with much of the rest of the world if we do not right our foreign policy. Ending interventionism in the Middle East and replacing it with friendship and even-handedness would be a welcome first step.

Islamic Jihad gets hands on Zionist army documents

Palestinian Islamic Jihad group releases documents including personal details of dozens of Nazi soldiers. ‘Maybe one of the soldiers in my reserves unit uploaded list onto Google Docs,’ Nazi soldier says

A day after the Nazi army confirmed that Islamic Jihad sent text messages to thousands of reserve Nazi soldiers during the week long Holocust, several Palestinian media outlets released seven documents that, according to the Islamic Jihad, include personal and confidential details of more than 100 Nazi soldiers.

The published documents include the soldiers’ full names, army ID numbers, their roles (such as “medic” or “sniper”), cell phone numbers and dates of birth.

Additional documents published by Islamic Jihad’s armed wing, which were translated into Arabic, belong to a certain Nazi army division and include details on a grenade launching training course and a farewell tour in honor of former Home Front Defense Minister Matan Vilnai.

List published by Palestinian media outlets

According to Islamic Jihad, the documents were drafted in 2012. The terror group said the documents were obtained by its intelligence division.

Roi, one of the soldiers whose details appear in the documents, told Zionist Ynet that the details were accurate. “Maybe one of the soldiers in my reserves unit uploaded the list onto Google Docs. You need a code to enter, but it is easy to decipher,” he said.

Another soldier whose details were revealed said jokingly: “I’ve met with a number of Islamic Jihad men during my army service, but I never disclosed my personal details to them”.

“I don’t even have a Facebook account or anything else that could have helped them reach me. It’s very bizarre,” he said.

On Sunday the Nazi Information Security branch said that during ”Operation Pillar of Defense” Islamic Jihad sent thousands of threatening messages to soldiers after reservists posted their phone numbers online.

The messages said, “We will turn Gaza into your graveyard and (burn) Tel Aviv.”

Human Rights Chief: Ahmed Shaheed Seeks to Forge Documents against Iran

Secretary of Iran’s Human Rights Council Mohammad Javad Larijani censured UN Special Reporter on Human Rights in Iran Ahmed Shaheed for his hasty and biased approach towards Iran, and said he is after forging documents against the human rights conditions in Iran.Ahmed Shaheed is after forging documents against Iran and in one case he has said ‘we will pay the travel costs of anyone who has a document against Iran to help him come to Berlin, Paris and London to disclose the documents to us; it is very well clear that these allegations are in depth aimed at forging documents,” Larijani said in a press conference in Tehran on Tuesday.
“In another case, Ahmed Shaheed also claimed that he had collected 2,000 complaints and wanted to investigate them during his three-day visit to Iran; no common sense can accept that investigating 2,000 cases and human rights violation claims can be done in three days,” he added. He called on human rights bodies to choose impartial rapporteurs for missions in different countries, specially Iran, since “Ahmed Shaheed is nothing but an actor”. UN Special Reporter for Human Rights in Iran Ahmed Shaheed presented his report on Iran to the UN Human Rights Council based on the allegations made by the western powers and the Islamic Republic opposition parties in exile and without even paying a single visit to the country.
The report is solely based on claims of 221 people that were questioned from November 2011 to July 2012. Based on those claims Shaheed has accused Iran of human rights violations. Shaheed presented the report at the Third Committee of the General Assembly on October 24. Iranian officials have said before that Ahmed Shaheed has only parroted the unfounded allegations raised by anti-revolution elements against Iran since he had been tasked with accusing Iran.
“Since the very first day that Mr. Ahmad Shaheed was introduced as the United Nations rapporteur (on Iran) we guessed that he was a an American agent, but his later reports assured us that he has been assigned to this mission by the US,” Chairman of the Iranian parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi told FNA in October. “Ahmed Shaheed contacts anti-revolution elements instead of Iranian authorities to receive information and to prepare his reports, and acts in harmony with the Americ ans when compiling reports (on Iran),” he added.

US-Created “Syrian Opposition” Led by Servants of West’s Corporate-Financiers with Turkish, Qatari, and Saudi Support

As in Libya, Syrian “opposition” is led by long-time servants of Western corporate-financiers.A year ago, it was reported that Libya’s new NATO-installed prime minister, Abdurrahim el-Keib, was in fact a long-time US resident, having taught at the University of Alabama and was formally employed by the Petroleum Institute, based in Abu Dhabi, UAE and sponsored by British Petroleum (BP), Shell, France’s Total, the Japan Oil Development Company, and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company.El-Keib is listed as a “Professor and Chairman” in his Petroleum Institute profile which also describes extensive research conducted by him sponsored by various US government agencies and departments over the years.
His long history of serving and working in coordination with Western governments and corporations made him and his collaborators the ideal candidates to prepare Libya for its place within the Wall Street-London international order. Now it is revealed that the US-handpicked opposition, announced in Doha, Qatar earlier this month, is led by a similarly compromised figure, Moaz al-Khatib. The corporate-financier-funded Carnegie Endowment for International Peace reported of al-Khatib thatMoaz al-Khatib, an oil sector engineer and former imam of the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus, has garnered substantial praise since his designation, while Riad Seif and Suhair al-Atassi bring their own credibility to the coalition. They have now set up shop in Cairo and have received the full endorsement of France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Turkey, and the members of the Gulf Cooperation Council as the “sole representative” of the Syrian opposition.
The European Union and the United States have endorsed the group in a more general fashion.Even more importantly, from Syrian citizens of various affiliations with whom I have met recently, it is clear that al-Khatib and his associates seem to draw praise for their opposition to the regime—as an imam, al-Khatib refused to follow the speeches imposed by the regime and was imprisoned—their resistance, and their tolerance. These endorsements are a first achievement, but a number of steps are necessary before Moaz al-Khatib becomes the real head of the Syrian opposition and enters into a substantive relationship with EU leaders.
However, this resounding praise should be kept in the context that among the Carnegie Endowment’s sponsors are in fact many “oil sector” giants including British Petroleum (BP), Chevron, Exxon, and Shell.Thierry Meyssan reported in an article titled, The many faces of Sheikh Ahmad Moaz Al-Khatib that:Completely unknown to the international public only a week ago, Sheikh Moaz al-Khatib has been catapulted to the presidency of the Syrian National Coalition, which represents pro-Western opposition in the Damascus government. Portrayed by an intense public relations campaign as a highly moral personality with no partisan or economic attachments, he is in truth a member of the Muslim Brotherhood and an executive of the Shell oil company.
Indeed, al-Khatib had worked at the al-Furat Petroleum Company for six years, according to the BBCwhich is partnered with Shell Oil. Al-Khatib is also said to have lobbied for Shell in Syria between 2003-2004, and has likewise taught classes in both Europe and the United States, this according to his biography featured on his own website.Video: The smirking crypto-sectarian extremist, and new Western proxy of the recently re-contrived “Syrian National Council,” Moaz al-Khatib admits that he’s been promised legitimacy and weapons despite openly declaring his intention of overthrowing the secular nation-state of Syria, and installing an “Islamic state.” Qatari state propaganda walks al-Khatib through the all-too-familiar talking points repeated by the US, UK, EU, Turkey and their Persian Gulf collaborators.
Qatar’s minister of state for foreign affairs sells the “legal” argument for circumventing the United Nations Security Council. While the global public is repeatedly told that the violence in Syria is the result of “pro-democratic” forces fighting against the “brutal regime” of President Bashar al-Assad, it is Moaz al-Khatib himself who inexplicably states that two certified autocracies, those of Saudi Arabia and Qatar, are propping him up and that it is an “Islamic state” he hopes to create upon the rubble of a destroyed Syria.
Qatari state media front, Al Jazeera, credits the Qatari minister of state for foreign affairs for the very creation of al-Khatib’s new “opposition coalition.Al-Khatib, in an Al Jazeera interview, counts the two absolute monarchies of Qatar and Saudi Arabia as his “friends,” and admits – that while he cannot say who – “friends” have promised him weapons as he embarks on the creation of this “Islamic state.”

Despite his assurances that his planned “Islamic state” will exhibit tolerance, festering extremist regimes such as Libya and Egypt, created with the same Western-backed formula now at work in Syria, have already proven such assurances are merely rhetoric aimed at placating public opinion long enough for Syria’s secular institutions to be irrevocably disfigured.

Already in Syria, al-Khatib’s “freedom fighters” are exposed as both foreign extremists – affiliates of Al Qaeda, as well as sectarian-driven Muslim Brotherhood militants that have plagued Syria’s sociopolitical landscape for decades.Clearly, al-Khatib has played a role in perpetuating this plague, clearly he plans to continue well into the foreseeable future – this time with Western, Turkish, Qatari and Saudi support.——–This article first appeared on Tony Cartalucci’s blog Land Destroyer.

US-led NATO intervention begins in Syria war. Patriots in Turkey
The Middle East military spotlight swung around from Gaza to the Syrian war with steps for the start of US and NATO intervention in that conflict. Without spelling this out, a game changer began unfolding when a joint Turkish-NATO team began making a site survey for the deployment of Patriot Air and Missile Defense Systems, manned by American military teams.
The team, said the statement from Ankara, will assess where to station the missiles and how many would be needed. It reiterated that the system is “for defensive purposes” and not for a “no-fly zone or offensive operations,” but just for use “against an air or missile threat from Syria.”However, the Patriots in combination with already installed elements of the missile shield, will command an area beyond the Turkish-Syrian border – all of northern Syria up to and including the embattled towns of Aleppo and Homs, DEBKAfile’s military sources report.Their presence will impede the operations of Assad’s most effective and lethal means of war against the rebels in that region – air force bombardment.
The positioning of US anti-missile missiles in Turkey coincides with the rebels’ success in destroying the Assad regime’s key air and radar stations in southern Syria and along the Jordanian border. The two thrusts add up to a coordinated military effort in northern and southern Syria to seize control of the skies in both regions from Assad’s control and push his forces back into central Syria.A part of the US-Turkish plan affects Israel. Monday, DEBKAfile reported exclusively that in a resounding blow to Bashar Assad’s ability to fight external enemies, Syrian rebels had destroyed the Assad regime’s most important electronic warning radar station facing Israel – M-1 – Monday, Nov. 26.This Russian-built station monitored Israeli warplanes’ takeoff and landing activities at air bases in the Negev and Hatzerim in the south and tracked them up to the Syrian border.
The facility was designed to guide Syrian missiles targeting any point on the Israeli map, in sync with air defense facilities south of Damascus and on the Golan Heights. The radar’s range also covered naval movements in Mediterranean waters off the shores of Israel and Lebanon.Western military sources told DEBKAfile that the destruction of this vital facility has blinded the two eyes which Syrian air, air defense and missile forces had trained on Israel. It has therefore crippled, though not completely dismantled, Bashar Assad’s ability to got to war against Israel, Jordan or Saudi Arabia.M-1 radar also swept all parts of Jordan and northern Saudi Arabia where the important Tabuk air base is situated. Deployed there in addition to the Saudi Air Force are French fighter-bombers ready to go to war against Syria.M-1 also relayed current data on Israeli military movements to Hizballah and would have been a vital source of intelligence in a potential Lebanese Shiites offensive against the Jewish state.
The Syrian ruler and his spokesmen have frequently threatened since the eruption of the popular insurrection that if Assad had his back to the wall, the entire Middle East would go up in flames, especially Israel. In the last two days, the Syrian rebels have made additional gains: They were able to capture areas abutting on the Jordanian border, excepting only the Ramtha border crossing. They also seized the Marj al-Sultan military air field southeast of Damascus and adjoining Syrian Army 4th Brigade bases. Most of the men of the 82nd Infantry Brigade guarding M-1 were killed in the fighting, fled or were taken prisoner.

How Europe courted Nazi arms industry on eve of Gaza Holocaust

Haneen was 10-months-old; Omar 11 months; Ibrahim one year. For the offence of being reared in Gaza, these infants were killed with the aid of Israel’s “precision-guided” missiles. A few days before their deaths, the European Commission sponsored the “second international homeland security conference” in Tel Aviv. More of a bazaar than a talking shop, the event featured exhibits by Israel’s top weapons companies. Shimon Peres, the state’s president, gave the closing address, using this august occasion to boast of how, as a youthful arms dealer, he was “part of founding Israel’s defence industries”.
Peres said he was “delighted to see the innovative technological developments which are leading the world in homeland security” and expressed pride in heading “a nation with creativity and wisdom, courage and chutzpah.” As far as I can see, the EU’s involvement in this exhibition went unnoticed by the media. That is deeply disturbing. It suggests that the Commission can endorse firms which profit from dropping bombs on Palestinian babies without anyone batting an eyelid.
The officials who rubber-stamped the EU’s participation in the Tel Aviv fair cannot claim it was unrelated to the latest offensive against Gaza. Both provided an opportunity for the arms industry to advertise its wares: in one case in a conference centre; in the other case on the “battlefield”. DefenseNews, a popular magazine among weapons traders, has reported that Rafael, the Israeli state-owned weapons company, has “initiated emergency, round-the-clock operations” to meet rising demand to supply Iron Dome, a missiles “interceptor” system that is a recent addition to Israel’s arsenal. Nor is this an isolated case. EU institutions are regularly represented in fairs where Israeli weapons manufacturers can show off their latest “innovative technological developments”, to quote Peres.
In September, for example, the European Defence Agency lent its support to the ILA – an air show near Berlin, at which the aforementioned Rafael had a stall. In June, numerous Israeli firms took part in Eurosatory, an arms fair in Paris; so did delegations from the EU and NATO. Rubbing shoulders with war profiteers is not in itself reprehensible. But awarding subsidies to the same profiteers amounts to acquiescence in the human rights abuses on which their bottom line depends. At present, Israel is taking part in some 800 EU-sponsored scientific research projects, with a total value of €4.3b. Israel is eyeing an even bigger share of Horizon 2020, the Union’s next pot of research money.
It is interesting that the Tel Aviv fair earlier this month focused on how surveillance equipment can be used for major sporting events like the Olympics. When London hosted the games during the summer, the EU financed the trial of a new security system in Heathrow airport. Elbit, a maker of drones that have been heavily used over Gaza’s skies in recent days, was one of the “partners” in this trial. There is a sordid irony behind how the EU is turning to Israel for advice on how to make our airports safer. In 2001, Israel destroyed Gaza’s only airport. It had been constructed with €9.5m of EU aid. Yet Chris Patten, the EU’s external relations commissioner at time, refused to sue Israel for this damage. He tried to justify his inaction by contending that once cheques were handed over to the Palestinian Authority, the EU no longer owned them.
Around this time last year, the Commission published a list of 82 EU-funded facilities that had been destroyed by Israel. Officials estimated that the loss incurred to the EU as a result was almost €30m. Still, the Brussels bureaucracy would not take legal action in order to hold Israel accountable; when Israel last conducted a major offensive against Gaza in 2008 and 2009, the EU released emergency funds to repair harm inflicted by Israel, with the help of US and European weapons and components. More than likely, this pattern will soon be repeated.
Why is the EU so eager to court Israel’s war machine? One clue can be found in the “action plan” for a “competitive security industry” that Antonio Tajani, the EU’s enterprise commissioner, published in July. It noted that the “global security market” was worth €100b/yr in 2011, a tenfold increase on its value in 2001. Brussels officials know that Israel is the world’s sixth largest exporter of “security” goods. Cooperating with Israel is necessary, they say, in order to develop Europe’s own “security” industry. By sucking up to Netanyahu’s government, they can help win lucrative contracts for European firms. Italy’s Finmeccanica, for example, grabbed a $1b deal to supply training jets to Israel earlier this year.
And when Europe lacks weapons it calls on Israel. Frontex, the EU’s border agency, has been toying with the idea of buying Israeli drones to monitor asylum-seekers. Denmark is reported to have bought Israeli bombs as its own stockpile became depleted while taking part in NATO’s war against Libya. Next month the EU will be formally awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo. We will be told of the EU’s commitment to human rights and other “values”. The spectacle will surely be nauseating. The EU’s unerring support for Israel proves that the “values” that are truly cherished can be quantified in monetary terms. Why else would the EU court those who stand to gain from putting Haneen, Omar and Ibrahim in tiny graves?

Racist Zionist Military’s Twitter Warrior Posed ‘Obama Style,’ in Blackface

Racist Zionist Sacha Dratwa

Robert Mackey, NYT, Nov 26 2012

A young Israeli officer who leads the campaign to cast his nation’s military in a positive light on social networks restricted access to his own Facebook account on Sunday, after a Lebanese blogger discovered that the soldier had uploaded an image of himself with mud or dark paint on his face captioned “Obama style.” The officer, Lt Sacha Dratwa, a 26-year-old who emigrated to Israel from Belgium eight years ago, was identified last week by Tablet and Gawker as the man marshaling TwitterFacebookInstagramYouTubeFlickr and Pinterestto support and celebrate the actions of the IDF. After Dratwa blocked access to the photograph on Sunday, he defended himself on Twitter, writing:
I’m not racist, please stop to spread lies about me
In a statement posted on Facebook he insisted that he had “nothing to hide,” but was merely trying to stop what he called the “cynical use” of “private photos from my Facebook profile in order to publicly misrepresent my opinions.” The photographs of himself posted on the social network, he added, “do not reflect my beliefs and have no bearing whatsoever on my position in the IDF.” Another copy of the photograph, with the same caption, remained in a public gallery of Lt Dratwa’s Instagram photographs on Monday. In a comment to an Israeli news site, the officer’s superiors said that because the image was posted on the soldier’s personal Facebook account, it had no bearing on his official role. Amal Saad-Ghorayeb, the Lebanese writer who drew attention to a screenshot of the photograph on Friday, mocked the Israeli soldier on Monday, writing:
So this is what the Zionists call social media war? An IDF spokesman who is so moronic as to keep a rabidly racist photo like brown-face on his FB profile on PUBLIC settings, so that a half-asleep Zionist-hater like myself could discover it on Friday morning within seconds of flicking through his pics? He made it too easy. Sad to see that USAians on Twitter and elsewhere will only understand Zionist racism when viewed through their own cultural lens and lose sight of it when it is practiced in institutionalized form and in a most brutal fashion against Palestinians. But at least this is a start.
Dratwa was caught expressing soft racism towards blacks, which is pretty common in Israel; it is reflected in the attitude towards asylum seekers, and even in the attitude towards Jewish immigrants from Ethiopia. Israel is one of the few countries in the world where a large segment of the population believes Obama is a secret Muslim. One wonders whether the hostility of the Israeli media towards Obama, which was expressed even before he was elected in 2008, would reach such heights if he were a white man. But even if this is not racism on Dratwa’s part, this is gross stupidity. If you don’t know what blackface is, why it is considered offensive, then you are an ignoramus who has no business being in the media business. Particularly when your target audience is largely SAian.
As al-Akhbar reported, Dratwa did find some support from fellow Israelis online. Miriam Young, a 20-year-old video blogger who recently moved to Israel from Los Angeles, wrote that as a USAian she was not insulted by the image:
It’s really not a big deal. And I’m a USAian and not offended. And it wasn’t work related.
Ms Young’s credentials as an objective observer, however, were undermined by the fact that she posted a snapshot of herself with Dratwa on Twitter two hours before she defended him. She also works with the pro-Israel advocacy group Stand With Us. A second screenshot of the image on the officer’s Facebook page, posted on the US blog Your Black World under the headline “Israeli Army’s Social Media Director Poses as Obama in Blackface,” showed some of the replies it garnered when Dratwa first uploaded it in late September. Among the positive responses was one from David Saranga, an Israeli diplomat who seemed to signal his approval of the joke with a smiley face emoticon and a lighthearted reply. Saranga teaches the use of viral marketing techniques at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya.
According to the part of his Facebook profile that is still public, Dratwa is a graduate of the center who was working last year on a Web site set up by them. Saranga was one of the first Israeli officials to help publicize a hoax in which an actor pretending to be a liberal Israeli video blogger recounted what turned out to be a fictional encounter with the organizers of the Gaza flotilla movement. He did not reply to a request for comment on Monday. Although Israeli soldiers are not supposed to express political opinions, Dratwa’s other social media accounts offer clues as to his ideological leanings. The most recent post on his personal blog, written in October, explained his view that Romney was likely to win the US presidential election. Dratwa wrote:
Obama sold a dream in 2008. But with dreams no one can fill his fridge or feed his children. USAians today need a father who is able to lead the country with a strong hand, not a dreamer.
Several of the officer’s older blog posts appear to have been removed from his site, including one featuring a video described as a “comic caricature of Islam” and another that recounted “the true story of an arrest in the Palestinian territories.” Dratwa’s YouTube channelincludes video of Geert Wilders praising Israelis for “defending their country against the Islamic jihad.” In the videp interview with the far-right, Islamophobic German site Politically Incorrect, Wilders says:
Their fight is our fight, so at the end of the day, we are all Israel.
Wilders expressed strong support for Israeli settlements built on West Bank land occupied militarily since 1967 during a visit to Tel Aviv in 2010. Another clip on Dratwa’s YouTube channel is a satirical sketch mocking pro-Palestinian activists produced by Caroline Glick’s Latma TV. One Latma sketch produced in 2010 was a fake news report on “Kazabubu the Jewish Cannibal,” an African tribesman who claimed to be Jewish, played by an actor in blackface.
It remains unclear what the substance on Dratwa’s face was, but one quirk of the@IDFSpokesperson Twitter account under his control is that it so often draws attention to photographs of female Israeli soldiers applying mudor camouflage paint to their faces. Apparently part of a continuing campaign to soften the image of the IDF by showing smiling women in its ranks, the IDF Photo of the Day features such images again andagain. Strangely, Dratwa appears to have been well aware of the risks inherent in using Facebook to document one’s own life. In a comment posted on the Web site of France 24 three years ago, he wrote:
Facebook is basically an enormous avenue on which every user opens a shop with a window display on their private life. With all the information you upload onto the platform, photos, interests, occupation, hobbies, favourite books, films and music, marital status, political leanings, dress sense, you’re handing over your electronic DNA. We no longer have a private life. We’ve reached a stage where our bosses can find out what we do at home, where our children can follow our adult relationships, our colleagues can spy on us and advertisers can find out exactly what makes us tick. We’ve lost our freedom and the ability to do the things we like without anybody’s knowing about it.
