Pakistan court orders investigators to produce Musharraf at next hearing
[JURIST] Judge Ismail Baloch of the Pakistani anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday ordered investigators to produce former presidentPervez Musharraf [BBC profile; JURIST news archive] at the next hearing for the killing of Baloch leader Akbar Bugti, scheduled for September 10. Bugti was killed in a 2006 military operation ordered by Musharraf during his time as both president and army chief of Pakistan. Musharraf has been detained at his Islamabad farmhouse since April 19 for conspiracy to kill former prime minister Benazir Bhutto[BBC obituary; JURIST news archive] in 2007.
Musharraf has had many legal troubles of late. In April the Peshawar High Court of Pakistan banned [JURIST report] him from running for public office for the rest of his life and extended his house arrest during the ongoing trial regarding the murder of Bhutto. Last week the Pakistani interim government declined [JURIST report] to try Musharraf for treason because they claimed such action would be outside the scope of their duties. In April a Pakistan court extended [JURIST report] Musharraf’s bail on charges of illegally detaining judges. In March Human Rights Watch urged [JURIST report] Pakistan to hold Musharraf accountable for alleged human rights abuses upon his return to the country. Last year Pakistani authorities pledged to arrest [JURIST report] Musharraf for his alleged involvement in Bhutto’s assassination. In August 2011 a court ordered seizure of his property [JURIST report] and froze his bank account after he failed to respond to multiple subpoenas regarding the assassination investigation.

Zionist US Puppet and Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is to be released

Monday, August 19, 2013

Zionist US Puppet and Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is to be released within the next 48 hours according to a report from Reuters in IsraHell Hayom
Hosni Mubarak, the former Egyptian president overthrown in an uprising in 2011, will be released from jail in the next 48 hours after a prosecutor cleared him in a corruption case, his lawyer, Fareed El-Deeb, told Reuters on Monday. He was speaking after judicial authorities ordered Mubarak released in one of the remaining corruption cases against him. The only legal grounds for Mubarak’s continued detention rest on another corruption case which will be cleared up later this week, Deeb said. In June 2012, Mubarak was sentenced to life imprisonment by an Egyptian court for failing to prevent the killing of more than 900 protesters during the 2011 uprising that forced him from power. In January 2013, the court ordered a retrial granting an appeal of the former autocrat’s life sentence. “All we have left is a simple administrative procedure that should take no more than 48 hours. He should be freed by the end of the week,” Deeb said.Mubarak, 85, still faces a retrial on charges of complicity in the murder of protesters during the 2011 revolt.
ITS OFFICIAL!!! Zionists destabilize Egypt, and get their jailed dictator out of jail…
The Cairo Criminal Court on Monday reportedly ordered the release of former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak [Al Jazeera profile; JURIST news archive] in a long-pending corruption case. His lawyer said that he could be released within days [WP report], which would the first time he was free in more than two years. It is unclear how Mubarak’s release will affect a divided Egypt, which has been subject to a state of emergency for the last week amid violent clashes [JURIST report] and increased killings.

Lebanon Watch- Report: Al-Asir Supporter Involved in the Naameh Car Bombing Ring

Security information revealed on Monday that some members of the car bombing ring detained on Sunday are supporters of Islamic cleric Ahmed al-Asir, the As Safir daily quoted well informed sources on condition of anonymity. Eight people, of Lebanese and Palestinian nationalities, were found involved in the scheme to detonate a booby-trapped car found in Naameh neighborhood in South of Lebanon in another location, the source added. The confessions of the car-bombing ring helped the security agencies seize the Audi vehicle that was rigged with explosives and was set to be detonated in another area.
Saturday afternoon security agencies seized the car filled with 250 kilograms of explosives near the municipality building in Naameh. The car carried fake license plate numbers and contained five barrels of TNT, explosive material, fuses and detonators along with a device to remotely detonate it. All the people involved in the scheme are under monitoring, and investigators have circulated their photos in a bid to tighten their movements, the source told the daily.
The seized car included large quantities of explosives which leads to the belief that it was to be used in several bomb attacks in different regions across Lebanon, the source said. The Naameh plot was to be the springboard for the attacks, he added. Asir’s supporters opened fire on an army checkpoint, late last month, leaving around 18 soldiers and more than 20 gunmen dead. The gunbattles concentrated in the area of Bilal Bin Rabah Mosque and nearby buildings in Abra. Asir, a 45-year-old cleric who supports the overwhelmingly Sunni rebels fighting to topple Syrian President Bashar Assad, is no where to be found.

Yazbek: Sunni habitat expels criminals so that we coexist

Sunni habitat, expel criminals living in your midst so that we can coexist, special Khomeini representative to Lebanon cleric Muhammad Yazbek exhorted Sunni compatriots during the commemoration of a fallen party member slain in Syria 40 days ago. Hezbollah’s rights shall not be forfeited and we shall pursue them no matter what it takes, he added. As for the Israeli criminal tools we perfectly know them well, the cleric wagged a finger. People of Baalbeck, remain vigilant in fighting all creatures and bats of the night. Fear no death, just chop off the head of strife, he went on. Party march to Jerusalem will continue despite the repeated killing of people solely for Israel’s sake, Yazbek concluded.
PLO/Islamists in Dahyeh
You are with us and we wish to inform you that you are not alone today in your ordeal, PLO representative to Lebanon Fathi Abul-Ardat told Hizbullah officials during the offering of condolences for the loss of life in last Thursday’s Dahyeh bombing. Our position of positive neutrality is pretty clear and we persist in our rejection of exploiting the Lebanese scene for settling of accounts Abul-Ardat concluded.

SYRIA FALSE FLAG ALERT… Marines prepare for improvised explosives carrying WMD

The Marine Corps’ explosives experts are enhancing their training to prepare for expected future encounters with improvised bombs carrying chemical, biological or radiological agents — so-called weapons of mass destruction. To date, such improvised explosives have not been a credible threat on the battlefield, especially in improvised explosive devices. In Iraq, a few failed attempts were made using industrial chemicals, but the Marine Corps considers improvised WMDs a threat that’s likely, according to a contract solicitation from the service seeking assistance in developing this new training.Marines with 1st Explosive Ordnance Disposal Company at Camp Pendleton will attend the new Weapons of Mass Destruction Design and Defeat Course in October. The goal is to improve EOD techs’ chances for survival should they encounter improvised WMD, and help deployed forces adapt to the threat.
It is a matter of time before improvised WMD are used against U.S. forces, says Steven Bucci, a foreign policy expert at the Heritage Foundation think tank in Washington. Bucci, a retired Army Special Forces officer, said attempts in Iraq demonstrated the enemy’s willingness to use them. All they lack are the materials, and failing states like Syria, which possess weaponized chemical agents, could provide them.Improvised WMD would most likely incorporate chemical agents, Bucci said. While they are difficult to manufacture and weaponize, much of the work is done if enemy forces obtain chemical weapons from an unsecured national stockpile — artillery shells, for example.“The bad guys know how to detonate artillery shells as IEDs,” Bucci said. “They did that in Iraq and Afghanistan. If they are chemical weapon shells or warheads, then you have a potential problem. So while that has not been a particular threat in the past — other than these lame attempts in Iraq — if they can get some of these things out of Syria, the possibility of creating chemical IEDs goes way up.”
[ed notes;unable to pin false allegations of chemical attacks on Assad and military, then will use their gulf allies mercenaies to unleash a chemical ied on us troops in Iraq,in order to justify an invasion in Syria?the rebels there ,if Assad is toppled, will be next afghanistan scenario, where us backs them, then says they are enemy..the false paradigms are always useful for interventions..

Erdogan’s Self-Righteous Blast on Egypt

Erdogan went on to accuse the international media of broadcasting hours of programs on endangered seals, while disregarding the children dying in Egypt, Syria and Palestine. Needless to say, this is pure rhetoric aimed at a domestic audience that has no notion of how the events in the Middle East are covered by the Western media in particular and the international media in general.
Carrying on with religious references and indicating that sooner or later “a Moses will emerge in Egypt” against the pharaoh, Erdogan went on to reveal what is really on his mind, and no doubt the minds of his followers in Turkey. “There are constant designs on the Islamic world, constant traps being set. These traps are valid for us, for Turkey, too. That is why we must not forget this. No one wants a strong Turkey. That is why we have to be strong,” he said.Erdogan’s son Bilal also weighed in with his take on this theme. “Western civilization is built on the blood and suffering of the ‘other.’ That’s clearly why that civilization is so comfortable watching the blood and suffering of the ‘other’ in Egypt today,” he tweeted. Ironically, Bilal Erdogan is a person who has availed of the rare privilege for a Turkish Islamist of a Western education, being a Harvard graduate.
[ed notes:also see…Bilal your father is an agent for the zionist imperial crown in england you scoundrel! MPs: Erdogan’s son doing business in Israel,7340,L-4366091,00.html

Not surprisingly in this charged atmosphere, any parallels drawn between brutality against anti-government demonstrators in Turkey and against Morsi supporters in Egypt — although the scale of the inhuman behavior by the Egyptian police and military far surpasses that of the Turkish police — result in furious reactions from Erdogan’s supporters.

One prominent journalist to discover this was Cengiz Candar, the veteran commentator for daily Radikal and an Al-Monitor contributor, whose expertise on the Middle East far outstrips that of the average Erdogan supporter. Candar became an object of instant hate for Erdogan’s supporters and deputies from his Justice and Development Party (AKP) over a commentary he wrote on Egypt, and even received death threats. Indicating that Erdogan supporters were using the massacre in Egypt for the sake of bolstering their own sense of victimhood in Turkey, Candar argued the following: “There is something that they have forgotten and are trying to overlook, however. There is not much difference between the methods used and the images that have emerged, in the clearing of the Nahda and Rabia al-Adawiya squares by the Egyptian military and those used on June 11 and June 15 in Istanbul’sTaksim Square and Gezi Park. In both cases, the principle tools were unlimited use of gas and bulldozers.”
Candar’s remarks and particularly his reference to the “clearing of the Nahda and Rabia al-Adawiya squares” were immediately latched onto by Erdogan supporters as “support for the massacre in Egypt.” Samil Tayyar, an AKP deputy who is a former journalist known for his abrasive tongue and strange conspiracy theories, was among those accusing Candar of being a “lackey of American neocons” and “facing a different Qibla.”

Following the Egyptian example, a group of activists has launched a Palestinian version of the Tamarod (rebellion) Campaign to remove Hamas from power in the Gaza Strip.

Tamarod is the name of the grassroots movement in Egypt that led the campaign to oust President Mohamed Morsi.

The Palestinian group on Monday shared a video announcing a series of anti-Hamas activities as of November 11.

“Repression and tyranny have arched their peak and we can no longer remain silent,” the group said in the video.

“The time has come to reject death under Hamas’s security club.”

The group said that the Palestinian Tamarod movement consisted of youths “of all colors and affiliations.”

Denouncing Hamas as medieval gangsters, the group accused the Islamist movement of torture, sabotage, smuggling, bribery and thuggery.

“Addressing Hamas, the group said: ‘We won’t ask you to leave because you are part of us. But you won’t rule after November 11 even if you finish us off. All our options are open, except for using weapons. We are different from you. Unlike you, we don’t use weapons against our brothers. Unlike you, we don’t kill children, the elderly, women and youths. Unlike you, we don’t destroy mosques. We will face you with bare chests.'”

Hamas officials in the Gaza Strip accused Fatah of being behind the video.

“We are witnessing attempts by Fatah to instigate tensions in the Gaza Strip,” said one official. “Our people, who threw Fatah out of the Gaza Strip, will not be deceived by this new conspiracy.”

Sources in the Gaza Strip said that Hamas security forces have arrested two Palestinians on suspicion of “plotting to overthrow the Hamas government.”

The sources said the two men are from the southern Gaza Strip.

Hamas authorities have also taken a number of preemptive measures to foil any attempt to copy the anti-Morsi campaign in the Gaza Strip.

The measures include imposing travel bans on top Fatah leaders, including Zakariya al-Agha, who was prevented from leaving the Gaza Strip to participate in a PLO meeting in Ramallah earlier this week.

Tensions between Hamas and Fatah have escalated in the aftermath of the ouster of Morsi.

While Fatah has come out in support of the removal of Morsi, Hamas has condemned Egypt’s new rulers for carrying out a military coup against a democratically elected president.

On Sunday, Hamas rejected an offer by Fatah to hold long overdue general elections in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Representatives of the two rival parties who met in Gaza City failed to reach agreement on holding presidential and parliamentary elections.

Salah Bardaweel, a senior Hamas official, said that by offering to hold new elections, Fatah was trying to “cover up for the scandal of resuming peace talks” with Israel.

“How can we hold elections under the current tense situation and while the negotiations were taking place with the goal of liquidating the Palestinian cause?” Bardaweel asked. He said that Hamas would not allow Fatah to hold elections in the Gaza Strip.

PCHR Condemns Dispersing Peaceful Assembly in Hebron and Preventing Journalists from Media Coverage

The Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) condemns the security services’ dispersal by force of a peaceful assembly in Hebron on Friday and prevention of journalists from covering the attack.  PCHR calls upon the Attorney General to open an investigation into such attacks and demands the government in Ramallah to take the measures needed to stop such attacks and respect public and press freedoms that are guaranteed and under the Palestinian Basic Law and international human rights standards.

According to investigations conducted by PCHR, at approximately 13:15 on Friday, 16 August 2012, dozens of Palestinian civilians participated in a peaceful assembly following the Friday prayer. They went out of al-Hussein Bin Ali Mosque in the centre of Hebron, in the southern West Bank, in support for the former Egyptian President, Mohammed Morsi.  Security services arrived at the place and prevented the participants from gathering and walking in Ein Sarah Street in the city. Security officers started dispersing the participants and attacked some of them with clubs and sticks.

Moreover, they prevented journalists, who were present to cover the incident, from filming or taking photos. Amer Abdin, a photojournalist of Pal Media agency, said to PCHR’s fieldworker that a security officer approached the journalists and informed them of a decision issued by the district’s Chief to prevent them from covering the incident. Abdin added that when he tried to film again with his colleague Mohammed Abu Ghaniya, who works for Reuters, security members took them to an officer in the area, who informed them about the decision for the second time.

In this context, PCHR underscores the following:

– The right to peaceful assembly is guaranteed under article (26-5) of the Palestinian Basic Law and Public Meeting Law No. 12/1998; and

– Article 27 of the Palestinian Basic Law ensures press freedoms and work in the Palestinian Authority, while article 19 of the same Law guarantees the right to freedom of opinion and expression.

Accordingly, PCHR:

1- Calls upon the Attorney General to seriously investigate these attacks and prosecute the perpetrators;

2- Calls upon the government in Ramallah to take the necessary measures to stop such attacks and respect public and press freedoms that are guaranteed under the Palestinian Basic Law and international human rights standards; and

3- Demands the security services to respect human rights that are ensured under domestic laws and relevant international standards.

IsraHell determined to remove Palestinians

Interview with Ralph Schoenman

It is a relentless occupation in which the Israelis deployed them but the ultimate force by the façade of talks is used to create a patina of legitimacy to this continued operation that is going on from the beginning of the Palestinian subjugation by the Israelis. The agenda has been to remove the people from their land and from history. ”

Press TV has conducted an interview with Ralph Schoenman, author of “Hidden History of Zionism”, about the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) saying the Israeli regime has committed war crimes and carries out racist acts against Palestinians.

What follows is an approximate transcription of the interview.

Press TV: Mr. Schoenman, let’s talk about these complaints that are to be, threatened to be filed against the Israelis, war crimes and racist acts against Palestinian people. How serious are they and where can they be pursued on an international level?

Schoenman: Well the issue here of course is that the Israelis deploy these nominal talks which the US imposes upon the Palestinian people through the aegis of the Palestinian Authority.

They deployed these talks under the cover which they carry out even more depredations against the people of Palestine. They expand the settlements and indeed it is instructive to note that the Secretary of State John Kerry when confronted with the fact that the Israelis were expanding these settlements and expanding the areas of East Jerusalem (al-Quds) that are now going to be under systematic control by the Israelis themselves is that there was to be expected that this process will continue.

Nothing more clear can be put forward in a cynical way in which the United States and the Secretary of State take as, given the fact that under the cover of fake talks, the expansion, the relentless expansion of the seizure of the land, the seizure of the water, the seizure of all political and economic control of the area is continued by the Israelis and the war crimes in question have to do with the relentless attack upon the youth, upon the population itself when in anyway attempts to sustain control over its trees, its housing, its land, its water.

It’s a relentless occupation in which the Israelis deployed the ultimate force by the façade of talks is used to create a patina of legitimacy to this continued operation that is going on from the beginning of the Palestinian subjugation by the Israelis. The agenda has been to remove the people from their land and from history.

Press TV: Mr. Schoenman, about the war crimes accusations by the PLO, the crimes that the Israelis have committed over the years or serious the wars on Gaza, the constant incursions into the Gaza Strip, the settlement buildings and the rights violations in the occupied West Bank, where can the Palestinian Authority and the PLO and the Palestinians in general take these accusations to an international arena which will be heard and dealt with on a more comprehensive basis?

Schoenman: Well after all you have these continued torture of prisoners, the indiscriminate arrests and detention of people, raids of homes at night, the use of chemicals and gas on civilian populace, a panoply of measures that are intended to drive the people from the land to fill them with despair and hopelessness as the plan under the cover of next war, the further expulsion of the population.

Your question as to the arena in which this can be addressed is a very difficult one because after all the United Nations, the World Court or institutions that are largely dominated by the established order itself and by countries whose political structure is not unlike that of the United States where one percent of the population own more than the rest of population combined.

So the hard reality is that the struggle for the emancipation of the Palestinian people is the work of the people themselves to struggle on the ground through a complete break with the attempts on the part of the Palestinian Authority financed by the Israelis, policed by the CIA to claim that they can pursue talks with an occupying power and this is, as you put it, more crimes on a daily basis.

There is no other arena of struggle, mobilization of the Palestinian people, mobilization of the oppressed masses of the region for the removal of an apartheid entity makes the Bantustans of the former apartheid South Africa by comparison.

The only arena for liberation is the struggle of the population itself toward self-determination and for a Palestine that is a democratic and secular society without any discrimination based upon ethnicity or religious affiliation which is the predicate of the Israel …. which is oppression based upon exclusivity for the occupying population.

India’s False Allegations against Pakistan

By Sajjad Shaukat

Tension between India and Pakistan accelerated when recently, the former set off a series of unprovoked cross-border firings at the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir including Working Boundary in Sialkot and Nakiyal sector, which killed some civilians. On the other side, Pakistan Army and Rangers responded with equal response.

Acting upon shrewd diplomacy, Indian External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid, top officials and Defence Minister AK Antony including Indian media accused Pakistan Army of killing its five soldiers on August 6, this year. Particularly, AK Antony allegedly stated in Lok Sabha on August 8, “Specialist troops of the Pakistani Army crossed the Line of Control into Indian territory and killed the five Indian soldiers…we all know nothing happens from Pakistan side of the LoC without support, assistance, facilitation and often, direct involvement of the Pakistan Army.”

While protesting Indian border-violations, Pakistan Foreign Office Spokesman Aizaz Chaudhry has repeatedly denied Indian allegations as “baseless and unfounded.” Pak Army sources have also denied New Delhi’s blame game of killing Indian soldiers.

However, threatening statements of Indian rulers, military leadership, and opposition party, Bharatya Janata Party (BJP) have created uproar over the alleged LoC incident. In this context, anti-Pakistan jingoism in India incited public to take to the streets. The Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi was stormed by supporters of the Congress Party’s Youth Wing, while the Lahore-bound friendship bus was stopped by protestors in Amritsar. And PIA offices in Bombay and New Delhi were also ransacked by extremists of Hindu fundamentalist party, Shiv Sena.

In this respect, BJP leader Rajnath Singh said that India’s patience was at an end and demanded that all dialogue between India and Pakistan including Confidence Building Measures (CMBs) be stopped after India claimed that Pakistan violated the ceasefire.

As regards the new peace process between India and Pakistan, Indian Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid said on August 16, “Talks with Pakistan become difficult or impossible or are suspended, the situation as of now is not conducive for talks with Islamabad.”

Earlier, on August 13, Indian External Affairs Ministry spokesman Syed Akbaruddin said India would not hold talks with Islamabad until issues related to the Line of Control ceasefire violations and the alleged killing of five Indian soldiers were not addressed. He also called upon Pakistan to take action against Hafiz Saeed, the alleged mastermind of the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

It means that there is no chance of proposed Nawaz-Manmohan meeting next month in New York in the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session, and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s proposed visit to Pakistan.

Although India has itself created the present episode of ceasefire-violations to blame Pakistan in order to escape from new peace process with Islamabad so that Pak-Indian issues like Siachen, Sir Creek, Wullar Barrage, water and especially main dispute of Kashmir remain unresolved, yet India’s false allegations about Mumbai terror-attacks of 2008 including Parliament assault of 2001 are surprising. Under the pretext of these terror-incidents, New Delhi also suspended the process of Pak-India dialogue.

Besides, Congress-led Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who has always remained under the pressure of BJP, called Pakistan epicenter of terrorism, emphasizing that Islamabad should “end infrastructure of terrorism. He imposed pre-condition for any further progress to improve relations with Islamabad unless the latter take actions against the culprits of Mumbai catastrophe. Indian other high officials also expressed similar thoughts. Notably, in his address, during India’s Independence Day, Singh warned Pakistan on August 15 against using its soil for “anti-India activity,” following a fresh escalation of tensions over a deadly attack on Indian soldiers.

Notably, on November 10, 2011, the then Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh met in Maldives. Both the rulers agreed to improve their bilateral relations especially in trade, and also stated that all the issues were discussed. Quite contrarily, two days after that meeting, Manmohan Singh stated, “I left Gilani in no doubt that if public opinion in India is not satisfied that justice is being done to those responsible to the barbarous attack of Mumbai, it would not be possible to move forward with the peace process.”  Similarly in 2012, Pakistan’s President Zardari and P.M Singh met in Tehran during which Singh repeatedly said that expeditious conclusion of the Mumbai terror attack trial in Pakistan would be a major measure in bilateral relations.

In the recent past, the Indian former officer of home ministry and ex-investigating officer Satish Verma disclosed that terror-attacks in Mumbai and assault on the Indian Parliament were carried out by the Indian government.

According to Indian media‚ the fake encounter case involving a senior officer under-Secretary of Interior Ministry Ishrat Jahan has submitted an affidavit in the court stating that a member of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe team Verma told him that in the terrorists’ attacks on Parliament in Delhi and Mumbai were pre-planned, and were set up “with the objective of strengthening the counter-terror legislation.”

But, Indian top officials and media left no stone unturned in tarnishing the image of Pakistan, and country’s InterServices Intelligence (ISI) through concocted stories regarding Mumbai carnage and Parliament attack, linking it with the banned organisations, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jamaat-ud-Dawah (JuD).

While fully cooperating with New Delhi, Pakistan had took action against the banned outs, LeT and JuD by lodging FIR against some suspected persons, and also detained many individuals for investigation. But Lahore High Court had released Hafiz Saeed on bail, saying that there was no evidence against him about the Mumbai catastrophe.

Nevertheless, New Delhi failed in supplying solid proof to Islamabad about Mumbai mayhem except providing a self-fabricated story which was quite fake—full of loopholes, created by RAW. And death of Indian Anti-terrorist Squad chief Hemant Karkare was also pre-planned.

Last year, the real story of the Mumbai carnage proved, when a day after the Indian media exposed the name of the terrorist, Wazhul Qamar Khan whose name was included in the list of 50 alleged terrorists given to Islamabad in March, 2011. In this context, Indian Home Minister P. Chidambaram admitted that what the media described an embarrassing lapse—for preparing the list was true. While, Pakistan’s law-enforcing agencies were desperately looking for Wazhul Khan. But, Wazhur Qamar “is living in the suburbs of Mumbai with his family” and “is regularly reporting to a court that gave him bail” as reported by The Times of India.

In the recent past, India has executed Ajmal Kasab, the lone survivor of the Mumbai attacks and Afzal Guru, In fact, RAW had taken forced statements from them that they had links with ISI and LeT.

Especially, in January 2013, Indian Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde disclosed that organised training camps run by the fundamentalist parties, RSS and BJP were promoting Hindu Terrorism, and were behind the Samjhauta Express, Meccca Masjid, Ajmer Sharif and Malegaon blasts. He revealed that these parties were involved many times in Hindu Muslim violence in India, particularly Gujarat and Babri Masjid incident.

In fact, India is not serious in resolving real issues with Pakistan. It is only interested in promotion of trade, friendly exchanges, tourism, relaxation of visas etc. because these favour Indian big economy.

While taking positive steps, Islambad already signed a number of trade agreemens with New Delhi, which allowed India exports of mutltiple items across the Wagah border. It also granted India Most Favoured Nation status, which permits trade in almost everything. On the other hand, New Delhi has allowed investments by Pakistanis in India.

Owing to Indian delaying tactics, Pak-Indian real issues, especially Kashmir dispute have still remained unsettled, because India is determined to keep its illegitimate control on Kashmir.

Nonetheless, revelations of Indian Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde and those of Satish Verma have clearly exposed that Indian officials themselves arranged various subversive acts in India. So, it is surprising that India has still been raising false allegations against Pakistan.

Zionist undermining Western diplomatic efforts in Egypt

Strongman Zionist El-Sissi has been in ‘heavy’ contact with Jerusalem since Morsi’s ouster, says report in NY Times, quoting unnamed diplomats

Times of Israel

El-Sissi, who ousted former Egyptian president Mohammed Morsi and replaced him with an interim government led by Hazem el-Beblawi, was said to have cultivated close ties to Israel during his tenure as head of military intelligence in Egypt.

The 58-year-old general and his close circle, said the report, kept in close contact with Israel even as fierce clashes erupted on the streets of Cairo, killing 173 over the weekend.

Foreign diplomats told the New York Times that they believed Israel was “undercutting” Western diplomatic efforts by telling el-Sissi that the US would not cut off its aid to Egypt, despite threats to the contrary.

They said Jerusalem had undermined Washington’s efforts to forestall the violent, chaotic deterioration from democracy to autocracy in Egypt, spearheaded by the generals who had ousted Morsi – the same generals who had had close relationships with Western powers for decades and who enjoyed the support of Israel, Saudi Arabia and other Arab states who viewed them as less dangerous than their Islamist counterparts.

“When Senator Rand Paul, Republican of Kentucky, proposed an amendment halting military aid to Egypt, the influential American Israel Public Affairs Committee sent a letter to senators on July 31 opposing it, saying it ‘could increase instability in Egypt and undermine important U.S. interests and negatively impact our Israeli ally,’” the Times report said. “Statements from influential lawmakers echoed the letter, and the Senate defeated the measure, 86 to 13, later that day.

Washington, meanwhile, tried to press Cairo for a transition back to civilian rule and freedom for Islamist leaders, but was warned again and again of the danger posed by the Muslim Brotherhood.

“Their whole sales pitch to us is that Muslim Brotherhood is a group of terrorists,” the report quoted an American officer as saying.

However, not even the best Western efforts – including US President Barack Obama’s decision Thursday to opt out of Egypt’s Bright Star war game — could put a stop to the bloodshed, which went on despite the diplomats’ warnings and entreaties.

Egypt has been wracked by mass protests and counterprotests since the week of June 30, when opponents of Morsi took to the streets by the hundreds of thousands and called for his resignation. Following Morsi’s forced resignation, Muslim Brotherhood supporters and secular opponents of the Islamist president have been engaging in bloody clashes throughout Egypt.

Egypt’s Interior Ministry said in a statement Saturday that a total of 1,004 Brotherhood members were detained in raids across the country and that weapons, bombs and ammunition were confiscated with the detainees.

The Muslim Brotherhood-led anti-military coalition has called for a week of protests, further escalating unrest in the country. The coalition says that they won’t back down until it topples the government installed by the military — which overthrew Morsi on July 3.

Meanwhile, hundreds remained inside the al-Fatah mosque in Cairo on Saturday morning after barricading themselves inside overnight. They shoved furniture against the doors to stop police from breaking their way in.

“The million-dollar question now,” one American military officer was quoted as saying, “is where is the threshold of violence for cutting ties?”

The Muslim Brotherhood group, founded in 1928, came to power a year ago when its leader Mohammed Morsi was elected in the country’s first free presidential elections. The election came after the overthrow of longtime autocratic president Hosni Mubarak.

The Brotherhood rocketed to power after decades of being a banned group in Egypt. While sometimes tolerated, its leaders often faced long bouts of imprisonment.
