Join the Protest and oppose attack on Syria

Thursday’s vote by MPs to bar the way to British involvement in a war against Syria is a vindication of the mass anti-war movement in this country over the last decade.

Thursday’s vote was also recognition of the public opposition to Western involvement in the Middle East. We feel the anti-war movement in the US will also be able to force its elected representatives to vote against the US flaming the civil war in Syria. The protest is called to encourage the US anti-war movement to ensure their elected representatives to reflect the US public opinion and vote against any attempts by Obama and his administration to fuel the civil war in Syria that could engulf the whole region.

White House to Congress: ‘Help protect I$raHell with attack on Syria’

NOVANEWS

The Obama administration is using a time-tested pitch to get Congress to back military strikes in Syria: It will help protect Israel.

Israel’s enemies, including Iran and the terrorist group Hezbollah, could be emboldened if Congress fails to approve action against the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad, senior administration officials said Saturday.

And for the second day in a row, President Barack Obama publicly cited the threat against Israel if Assad’s reported use of chemical weapons goes unchecked. “It endangers our friends and our partners along Syria’s borders, including Israel, Jordan, Turkey, Lebanon and Iraq,” Obama said Saturday in the Rose Garden. “It could lead to escalating use of chemical weapons, or their proliferation to terrorist groups who would do our people harm.”

The White House will need every vote it can get on the Syria resolution, and the senior administration officials left little doubt that Israel would be a point of emphasis in private discussions with members of Congress.

The Capitol is filled with strong supporters of Israel who understand the argument, one of the officials said.

But Israel’s security is a political razor blade that could cut both ways.

As Obama has weighed potential military action, the politics of Israel’s interests have become more delicate. The prospect of strikes against Syria triggering reprisals from Iran and Hezbollah is real enough to bolster the case against authorizing the president to use force, too, congressional insiders say.

“You’re going to see people arguing the exact opposite” of Obama, said Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), a member of the House Intelligence Committee, who has spent time in the region. An Israel play “could really backfire.”

Even a persuasive case that Israel’s security depends on American intervention in Syria might not be enough to overcome what Capitol Hill sources say is significant opposition to the president’s proposal for using military force against Assad.

Washington’s pro-Israel lobby, typically highly critical of the Syrian regime, has been publicly silent in recent days, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has asked officials in his government not to speak about possible American intervention in Syria.

“Everyone is in a wait-and-see mode about where this is all leading,” former Israeli Deputy Ambassador to the United States Dan Arbel told POLITICO earlier this week. “The fact is, right now, the picture is not so clear.”

Indeed, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, the most prominent pro-Israel lobbying group, wrote on its website Thursday that the Syrian crisis underscored the need to thwart Iran’s nuclear ambitions, delicately sidestepping the question of whether Obama should strike Assad.

The administration’s case that intervening benefits Israel will turn on what lawmakers hear from pro-Israel groups in their communities and from the reactions of leading Jewish lawmakers, said a senior House Democratic aide.

The Israel angle “only has a major impact if it’s getting validated from others,” the aide said. “Doesn’t have to be AIPAC writ large, but the local AIPAC lay leaders that the members have personal relationships [with] need to be validating.”

House leaders are likely to use prominent Jewish members who are hawkish on Israel as a bellwether. That group includes Henry Waxman (D-Calif.), Eliot Engel (D-N.Y.), Ted Deutch (D-Fla.), Brad Schneider (D-Ill.), Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) and Steve Israel (D-N.Y.). Engel announced on Friday that the administration had convinced him it was appropriate to make punitive strikes against Assad, though he had been pretty clearly in the camp favoring action before that.

“We cannot stand idly by,” Engel said on NBC’s “Today” show. “If we stand idly by, then every despot in the world thinks they can commit war crimes and no one will do anything.”

Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.), a leader in the progressive caucus who is Jewish, released a statement Saturday night praising Obama for seeking congressional approval for the use of force in Syria. But she stopped short of endorsing his authorization measure.

“We need to determine the best way to respond to the heinous use of chemical weapons in Syria and how we can act effectively to protect civilians from further massacres,” she said.

The true test, congressional sources said, may have much less to do with the politics of Israel than district-by-district domestic politics for lawmakers who are both weary and wary of war.

“At this point, it seems to be fairly far-fetched that there would be even close to enough votes to authorize,” said Nunes, who opposes the use-of-force resolution because he believes Obama has not articulated a clear military objective.

Or, as the Democratic aide put it, “Members are going to get the s—- kicked out of them at home this week. This is going to be a really hard vote for people.”

France to follow US lead before deciding on strike

Hollande says he will wait for French parliament, US Congress, to approve move before weighing hitting Syria

Times of Israel

France will wait for its parliament and the US Congress to consider possible military action on Syria before making a decision about whether to launch strikes against Bashar Assad’s regime, President Francois Hollande’s office said Saturday.

The comments from an official in the French president’s office came as the world reacted to word from President Barack Obama that he believes the United States should respond with force over an alleged chemical weapons attack by the Syrian regime, but that he has decided to put the issue before the American legislature first.

France, under Hollande and his Socialist government, has been the most vocal and visible country to show willingness to join the United States in military action against Syria’s regime following the suspected chemical weapons attack in rebel-held or contested areas last week. The U.S. claims it killed 1,429 people, including more than 400 children, marking a grave and intolerable escalation in Syria’s two-year civil war that has left 100,000 dead.

Before his speech about Syria outside the White House on Saturday, Obama explained his decision to Hollande in a phone call, the official in the French presidency said on condition of anonymity because she wasn’t authorized to be publicly named according to presidential policy. Hollande told Obama that he already had decided to convene France’s parliament on Wednesday to take up a debate about Syria.

The two presidents “reaffirmed their joint willingness to act,” and have an “absolute and shared conviction” that Assad’s regime was behind the chemical weapons attack, the official said.

Unlike in Britain, Hollande does not need the permission of parliament to order France to intervene militarily. Britain’s parliament on Thursday rejected efforts by Prime Minister David Cameron to have British forces possibly take part in military action against Syria.

In his speech, Obama said the UN Security Council “has been completely paralyzed and unwilling to hold Assad accountable. As a consequence, many people have advised against taking this decision to Congress, and undoubtedly, they were impacted by what we saw happen in the United Kingdom this week when the Parliament of our closest ally failed to pass a resolution with a similar goal, even as the prime minister supported taking action.”

After Obama’s speech, Cameron tweeted: “I understand and support Barack Obama’s position on #Syria.”

French officials said France is ready to strike once Hollande gives the order, though he has said he hasn’t yet made a decision. The officials haven’t publicly specified how the French military posture has changed in preparation for a Syria action, though analysts say that France’s most likely contribution would involve firing cruise missiles on targets in Syria.

At the UN Security Council, Russia and China have repeatedly blocked efforts by fellow permanent members Britain, France and the United States to pass tough resolutions against Assad’s regime.

Egypt’s Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy said Cairo rejects military intervention in Syria except under Chapter 7 of the UN charter, whereby it is proven that the country has become a danger to international peace security. Fahmy also asked that any decision be put off until the report of the U.N. investigators regarding the use of chemical weapons comes out.

Speaking on MBC Egypt TV, in comments relayed by the state-run news agency MENA, Fahmy said Obama was seeking Congress’ approval to “immunize” himself politically in the wake of controversial U.S. military action in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Syrian sister points accusing finger at I$raHell, U.S.

NOVANEWS

Sister Agnes-Mariam de la Croix

Why a Carmelite nun believes the chemical attack in Damascus was faked.

Haaretz

Sister Agnes-Mariam de la Croix feared that the United States would attack Syria on Saturday night. She expected the attack to be massive and would bring disaster to Syria and the entire region. According to Sister Agnes-Mariam, there are today 150,000 well-trained jihadist fighters from 80 countries in Syria, with arms they have received from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Turkey, and even from the United States. She says some of them are in a drugged state, induced by Captagon pills.

The nun lives in Syria and is the abbess, or mother superior, of the Monastery of St. James the Mutilated. She argues that these jihadi fighters control 60 percent of the populated areas of Syria. She claims that Islamic-Syrian rebel group Jabhat al-Nusra, which the United States has designated a terrorist group, is responsible for the acts of mass murder, rape and looting that have been committed in Syria. She also claims the Chechen fighters are exceptionally cruel and that, among the foreign fighters, there are a fairly large number of released prisoners and citizens of western countries. In her opinion, most of Syria’s citizens support the regime of President Bashar Assad because they fear a takeover of the country by Islamic extremists.

She calls on the world not to attack Syria, and to stop the flow of foreign fighters into its territory and the supply of arms they are receiving. When she journeys through Syria today, she feels as if she is in Afghanistan or Somalia. An American attack on Syria will hurt its army and open the door to a complete seizure of the country by the global jihad movement, she firmly believes. “If this regime is toppled,” she says, “it will be worse than Iraq. It will have consequences for Lebanon, Israel and Jordan, and it’s not a situation that will promote security.”

She also believes the pictures of the victims of last month’s alleged chemical attack in east Damascus are fabrications.

I met Sister Agnes-Mariam this week in a convent in Jerusalem’s hills, not far from Abu Ghosh. She is visiting Israel for a few days and next week will return to Syria, where she has been living for the past 19 years. Her life story is as surprising as her statements about the situation there.

She was born Fadia al-Laham, 61 years ago in Jounieh, Lebanon (her parents had fled Nazareth in 1948). When she was 15 her father died, and, as she herself admits, over the next few years she became a hippy and flower child who used drugs and drifted between Nepal and India. On her palm, concealed by her nun’s habit, she still has a few tattoos from India – a memento of that time in her life. She says she loves to listen to The Doors, The Rolling Stones and Santana. Her Indian experiences led her to embrace a cloistered life and, for 22 years, she lived in utter solitude in a Carmelite monastery in Lebanon’s highland region.

Sister Agnes-Mariam moved to Syria 19 years ago and, together with two other nuns, rebuilt the ruins of a monastery on the main road between Damascus and Homs, not far from the village of Qara. She became mother superior of the Monastery of St. James the Mutilated. In addition to the nuns of the convent, there are 20 Sunni refuges who have sought asylum from the horrors of the war.

She was forced to leave the monastery in June 2012, after the threats on her life increased because she was suspected of being an agent of the Assad regime. Her monastery is situated between the area controlled by the Free Syrian Army and the area controlled by the “foreign legions.”

Currently she lives in Damascus and is an international peace activist trying to warn the world of the dangers of a jihadist takeover of her adopted country. She is fighting what she considers a pack of lies, trying to counter the propaganda and disinformation in the Arab and international media, and documenting the atrocities of the war for the organization she has established. She arrived this week to visit relatives in Nazareth and to participate in an interfaith conference in Israel.

Lover of Israel

I first met her at an international peace conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where she delivered a stunning speech and presented shocking video clips on what, in her view, is being committed by the jihadists. When I was introduced to her, she told me she loved Israel and that the Jews should serve as a light unto the nations. I was surprised to learn that she had come to Israel for a brief visit.

As a Lebanese, she argues, she cannot be suspected of being an agent of the Assad regime because Lebanon is, as she sees it, actually under Syrian occupation. She presents these arguments to deny the allegations that have been made against her, including the accusation that she is personally responsible – in January 2012 – for the death of French journalist Gilles Jacquier, 43, a TV reporter who was on assignment for the French channel France 2. She completely denies any responsibility for his death, arguing that she only helped him enter Syria.

She believes the Assad regime is the only thing that can save Syria from a takeover by Al-Qaida, and that most Syrians support the present regime. This, she explains, is why Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak was toppled so quickly and why Assad is still holding his own.

In late 2011, she says, she began to understand two things: First, that there was no truth in the reports about a Syrian opposition that was committed to democratic principles; and, second, that the rebellion was being launched primarily by foreigners. At first, she recalls, they were referred to as unidentified forces; however, she points out, their real identity emerged a few months later.

When the Qatar-based Al Jazeera television channel reported in the early stages of the fighting that a massacre had taken place in one of Damascus’ neighborhoods encircled by the Syrian army, she set out to see for herself what had happened, and was amazed to discover that the report was completely false. According to Sister Agnes-Mariam, when she expressed her condolences to the local priest of the neighborhood, he could not understand what she was talking about.

In December 2011 she traveled to Qusayr, after it was reported that civilians there had been massacred by the Syrian army. In the local hospital she was shown 100 bodies of civilians who had been murdered the night before; however, according to the testimony she gathered, she claims, the massacre was really carried out by gangs of foreigners.

Sister Agnes-Mariam believes the casualties are primarily caused by the fighting between the rebel forces themselves. And, in some cases, the Syrian army collaborates with the Free Syrian Army against the foreigners. In her opinion, the foreigners want the Islamic Sharia law to apply to all spheres of life in Syria, are establishing popular courts, and are executing people. For instance, she claims, the judge who was appointed in the northern town of Saraqib is actually someone who repairs tires.

In the past few months she has visited Homs, Aleppo, Qusayr, and other places where fighting has taken place. In addition, she has visited hospitals and private homes in her efforts to collect evidence for the Mussalaha (Reconciliation) in Syria organization; she is the founder of the organization’s international branch.

During the alleged chemical attack on August 21, she was in Damascus. The week before the attack, she relates, a shocking massacre was carried out in Latakia, where at least 500 civilians were killed by organizations belonging to Al-Qaida, yet the world media barely reported this event.

As she sees it, Syria has returned to the most barbaric era in its history, and the media is staying silent. She believes Jabhat al-Nusra is committing massacres of both military personnel and civilians and is a threat to the entire civilized world, especially Lebanon and Israel – if Assad’s regime is toppled, a jihadist dictatorship will emerge in Syria. Thus, she claims, the United States is actually helping to strengthen Al-Qaida.

Sister Agnes-Mariam believes the pictures of last month’s alleged chemical attack were fabricated. Most of the civilians in that area had already fled, she claims, so how could there suddenly be dozens of children there? This part of Damascus now has 20,000 fighters from Jordan, she argues. If chemical weapons were used, she wonders, why do the photos show physicians and dozens of people standing in the immediate vicinity of the scene of the attack without gas masks or any other form of protection? After all, she says, the chemical weapons would be dangerous for them as well.

In the first alleged chemical attack, in Aleppo – where chemical weapons brought in from Turkey were employed – the physicians did not even dare to get close to the bodies of the victims. In the video clips that have been disseminated around the world and which allegedly document the most recent chemical attack, one can see dozens of people standing around the bodies. She points out that she was in Damascus that night, and that 50 bodies of soldiers who had suffocated, having been killed by gas in the army’s tunnels, were evacuated to a hospital. She claims an Islamic battalion was responsible for that attack, and that this was the only chemical attack to have taken place so far in the Syrian civil war.

The only thing that can stop the jihadists, she argues, is the Syrian army. In her opinion, if the present regime falls the situation in Syria will be worse than what it is today in Iraq. She implores U.S. President Barack Obama not to participate in what she sees as another war crime, as another atrocity committed against the civilian population. She cannot understand why the world is determined to go to war now because, she believes, the result will be that Syria will be controlled by chaotic, extremist groups.

The United States is not concerned with what is best for the Syrian people, she argues, but is operating in accordance with its own interests. Furthermore, she cannot understand why America wants to ignite yet another regional war, which will only lead to the emergence of one more cruel Islamic regime. “Why do you [the West] fuel a regional war to support radical Islam?” she asks. “Why?

“The United States says it has proof, but that’s not enough. They are a part of the conflict, so they can’t be a judge. It’s very dangerous when one nation tries to be the judge and the police of the world. This is not the first time they made a mistake.” She adds, “We don’t need another false war.”

“What can the West do?” she was asked. She replied that it should stop fueling the rebels with arms. “It’s a scandal what the West is doing.”

Senior GOP Senators: We Won’t Support Military Strikes Without ‘Overall Strategy’ To Remove Assad

NOVANEWS

businessinsider.com

In a joint statement released Saturday, Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) commended the president for seeking congressional approval for actions against Syria, but expressed strong disapproval of limited military action.

The senators wrote that they believe Obama is correct in the assessment that Assad has used chemical weapons and this requires a military response. But they have continued to call for a more robust military response to “shift the balance of power.”

Here’s the statement:

‘We believe President Obama is correct that the Assad regime’s use of chemical weapons requires a military response by the United States and our friends and allies. Since the President is now seeking Congressional support for this action, the Congress must act as soon as possible.’

However, we cannot in good conscience support isolated military strikes in Syria that are not part of an overall strategy that can change the momentum on the battlefield, achieve the President’s stated goal of Assad’s removal from power, and bring an end to this conflict, which is a growing threat to our national security interests. Anything short of this would be an inadequate response to the crimes against humanity that Assad and his forces are committing. And it would send the wrong signal to America’s friends and allies, the Syrian opposition, the Assad regime, Iran, and the world – all of whom are watching closely what actions America will take.”

Both McCain and Graham are senior members of the Senate Armed Services Committee.

Intelligence Experts Decry Weak Case For Syria Strike

NOVANEWS

Russia concerned with Israeli 'attack' in Syria

huffingtonpost.com

As the United States and France prepare for a seemingly inevitable military strike on Syria, intelligence experts around the globe are sounding the alarm that the justification for intervention is far from established.

The Obama administration joined by French President Francois Hollande have vowed to punish the Syrian government for what they claim is irrefutable evidence that it unleashed chemical weapons in a suburb of Damascus, killing hundreds. But a growing number of analysts who have scrutinized military intelligence in past conflicts warn that the case linking the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad to a chemical weapons attack is incomplete.

One of the world’s leading experts on chemical weapons, Jean Pascal Zanders, on Friday told The Huffington Post UK that he has significant doubts about the identity of the chemical agent widely blamed for the deaths in the Damascus suburb of Ghouta.

“We don’t know what the agent is,” said Zanders, who until recently served as senior research fellow at the European Union Institute for Security Studies, an EU agency that scrutinizes defense and security issues. “Everyone is saying sarin. There is something clearly to do with a neurotoxicant [such as sarin], but not everything is pointing in that direction.”

The agent used is a crucial piece of information, Zanders said, because the family of neurotoxicants that includes military weapons such as nerve agents also encompasses industrial products like those used to control rodents. Until the actual agent can be identified, any link to the Assad regime is tenuous, Zanders said.

“If say, for example, a neurotoxicant was taken from a factory and used at [Ghouta], then the number of actors who might be responsible for that then increases,” he said

Zanders’ caution was merely the latest bit of skepticism to emerge from the ranks of experienced experts now challenging the adequacy of the case for a strike in Syria.

On Thursday, Lawrence Wilkerson, who reviewed the intelligence presented by then-Secretary of State Colin Powell as justification for the war in Iraq a decade ago, told HuffPost that the preparations for a Syria strike seem devoid of authority.

Wilkerson likened the current debate to a repeat of the days he spent preparing for Powell’s since-debunked testimony, “with people telling me [former Iraq President] Saddam Hussein has weapons of mass destruction with absolutely certainty.”

He added: “It seems like the same thing again.”

That pronouncement followed a striking caution from Hans Blix, who was chief United Nations arms inspector for Iraq in the run-up to the war. In an interview with Nathan Gardels, Blix said that while “indications are certainly in the direction of the use of chemical weapons” in Syria, those now contemplating military action should wait for U.N. inspectors now on the ground to complete their work.

“As we’ve seen before, the political dynamics are running ahead of due process,” Blix said, adding that the dynamic was reminiscent of the way the Bush administration launched the war in Iraq.

“I do not go along with the statement by the U.S. that ‘it is too late’ for Syria now to cooperate. That is a poor excuse for taking military action.”

Most pointedly, Blix warned that missiles aimed at eradicating Assad’s chemical weapons capacities could exacerbate harm.

“Attacking stockpiles with cruise missiles, as I understand it, has the disadvantage that is might spread chemical weapons in the vicinity of any attack,” Blix said.

Zanders, the former EU chemical weapons expert, went even further, arguing that outsiders cannot conclude with confidence the extent or geographic location of the chemical weapons attack widely being blamed on the Assad regime.

He singled out the images of victims convulsing in agony that have circulated widely on the Web, including on YouTube.

“You do not know where they were taken,” he said. “You do not know when they were taken or even by whom they were taken. Or, whether they [are from] the same incident or from different incidents.”

Zanders added: “It doesn’t tell me who would be responsible for it. It doesn’t tell me where the films were taken. It just tells me that something has happened, somewhere, at some point.”

The Dalai Lama: A CIA Agent

NOVANEWS

dl.jpg

The Dalai Lama is an example of how
the CIA has moved from overt to covert
means of subversion and control.

I have a hunch that once it is China’s turn to get some taste of the foundation-style ‘democracy’ , there is a possibility the Dalai Lama will be rolled out again.”

by Sandeep Parwaga

(Sandeep Parwaga, 25, is a Ph.D. candidate in psychology in the UK.)

In a society where liars and frauds are presented to us by the corporate media as the holy grail, I decided to investigate the Dalai Lama. I recalled the Dalai Lama admitted he was on the payroll of the CIA in the 1950s. [1] I suspect he still may be.

First a little history. Tibet was part of the Chinese empire until 1913 when it broke off and became de-facto independent. Contrary to the image of the Dalai Lama, many allege that he ran a dictatorial, feudal style regimetorturing and killing dissenterscrushing resistance and permitting other despicable brutalities. [2] and [3]

The Chinese eventually reconquered and annexed Tibet in 1951. The Dalai Lama fled to India where he established the exiled government with the financial help of the CIA. The CIA supported the Tibetan radicals to ‘isolate Communism’ training them on American soil and parachuting them into Tibet. This and similar activities came under the codename. “Operation Saint Circus.” [4] and [5]

The Dalai Lama also received direct CIA funding. “Funding” of course means bribes. Overt CIA support ended in 1974, after negative publicity. The Dalai Lama then created the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), which raises large sums, especially now since he became a house-hold name. The US State Dept. donates and I suspect so does the CIA.

Michael Backman, an Australian reporter, revealed that the Dalai Lama has put all of the important positions in the network into family hands. [6] Corruption seems to be an all-too-common. I suspect a lot of the money lands in his large robe pockets. Contrary to popular belief, there are Tibetans who oppose the Dalai Lama. One such is the Western Shugden Society, which has a trove of information including declassified documents about the CIA connection to the Dalai Lama. [7]

dalai2.jpg

FOUNDATION SUPPORT

Using the Dalai Lama as an example, we get a glimpse of how the elite transferred their control mechanism from overt to covert mechanisms.

In 1989, the Dalai Lama received a Nobel Peace Prize.  The media continues to give him credibility. He was received by many nations in the West and was awarded with ‘honorary medals’, such as the National Endowment for Democracy ‘Honour’. [8]

When I read this, my opinion about the Dalai Lama was confirmed. By now I knew that the NED took part in ‘democratic’ overthrows of countries such as Georgia and Ukraine through so called ‘colour revolutions’ [9] Established in 1984, the NED officially labels itself as a foundation “promoting democracy throughout the world.” The NED’s first president, Allen Weinstein, had this to say about the NED: ‘A lot of what we do today was done covertly 25 years ago by the CIA.’ [10]

This statement reveals the psychology behind foundation ideology and how the CIA has shifted its operational modus operandi.  Their aim was to infiltrate into a destined country via soft power means. Some people have made the case that the CIA operations went from ‘public’ hands (the overt part) into ‘private’ hands (the covert part, using the foundation.)

Michael Barker, who studied the NED and its connections to the Dalai Lama rightfully called it ‘Democratic imperialism”. [11] It explains why Russia passed a law labeling ‘NGOs’ (non-governmental organizations) as foreign agents (because they are not governmental, they are in private hands) [12]

Since DL was on the payroll of the CIA for many years officially, I suspect that he is still a CIA puppet who is used to destabilize China using the Tibet region as a proxy, just as Saudi Arabia is using Sunni radicals (e.g. Al Qaida) as proxies to destabilize the Middle East with the support of Israel and the West. [13] If it ever get so far, I have a hunch that once it is China’s turn to get some taste of the foundation-style ‘democracy’ , there is a possibility the Dalai Lama will be rolled out again.

dl1.jpg

CONCLUSION

Once we look behind the veil, we see that champions of freedom and democracy like the Dalai Lama are nothing but frauds who are used to undermine countries opposed to Anglo-American hegemony, mainly Russia and China and its supported allies (e.g. Iran/Syria).

The Dalai Lama represents  Western degeneracy, which dupes idealistic people to follow a cause which is eventually usurped and used for a greater evil. The Dalai Lama is nothing but a money hungry, evil narcissist who enjoys duping the masses and enjoying his celebrity status while living the big life. We need to realize that these supposed purveyors of justice are manufactured frauds who serve as henchman of the global elite. – See more at: http://henrymakow.com/2013/09/the-dalai-lama-a-CIA.html#sthash.yEuu0D0T.dpuf

Special Syria Report. Washington, DC (WMR) Obama caved under last-minute pressure from Dempsey

NOVANEWS

WMR’s White House sources report that on the evening of Friday, August 29, President Obama was on track to launch a sustained 72-hour cruise missile and drone attack on pre-selected air defense and other strategic military targets in Syria.

Obama had been convinced by his national security adviser Susan Rice, UN ambassador Samantha Power, and deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes, all “Responsibility to Protect” advocates, that he could trump congressional approval for his attack by claiming that humanitarian operations do not require approval under the War Powers Resolution or Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution.

Many of Washington’s insiders went to bed Friday night firmly convinced that Obama would give the final order to attack Syria sometime during the early Saturday morning hours of August 30. However, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Martin Dempsey. made a hurried trip to the White House during the early morning hours of Saturday to make one last final plea to hold off on any attack.

WMR has learned from White House sources that Dempsey told Obama that the president’s plan would not work. “If you do this, the plan will fail and you’ll get in deeper. And without congressional approval, you’ll be screwed,” Dempsey told Obama.

Dempsey’s  warning about Congress had merit. Already, 210 House members signed a letter to Obama warning him not to attack Syria without congressional authorization. In addition, a head count showed that some Democrats would join Republicans in voting for impeachment if a bill were introduced.

Dempsey’s argument prevailed and  Obama decided to hold off on any attack until Congress reconvenes after Labor Day.Obama decided he would seek a congressional vote to authorize a military strike on Syria, However, in overriding Rice, Power, Rhodes, and Secretary of State John Kerry, who all favored a military strike, Dempsey incurred the wrath of the R2P faction that dominates the National Security Council. State Department sources began spreading the word that Obama would still attack Syria without congressional approval. The Pentagon, on the other hand, pointed out that none of the National Security Council “heavies,” Rice, Power, or Rhodes had any military experience and that Kerry was channeling the wishes of his good friend Senator John McCain, who has consistently supported Al Qaeda-led rebels in Syria and Libya.

Obama has faced with another grim reality. Some within the Pentagon ranks are so displeased with Obama’s policies on Syria, they have let certain members of Congress of both parties know that “smoking gun” proof exists that Obama and CIA director John O. Brennan personally authorized the transfer of arms and personnel from Al-Qaeda-linked Ansar al Sharia Islamist rebels in Libya to Syria’s Jabhat al Nusra rebels, who are also linked to Al Qaeda, in what amounts to an illegal “Iran-contra”-like scandal. The proof is said to be highly “impeachable.”

The developing scandal involves Turkish, Qatari, Lebanese, and Croatian firms and front operations; Qatar Airways Cargo; ousted officials of the Mohamed Morsi government of Egypt; small Turkish and Jordanian air service companies contracted by the CIA; Saudi intelligence chief Prince Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud; the September 11, 2012 attack on the CIA annex in Benghazi; and “black” carve-out contracts with the U.S. Air Force.

Barack Obama, right, dressed as a Somali Elder during his visit to Kenya, near the borders with Somalia and Ethiopia.
Obama plays the role of Al Qaeda arms provider.Obama’s, Brennan’s, and then-CIA director David Petraeus’s knowledge of the operation was so intimate, Petraeus visited GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney in October of last year to plead with him not to bring up the covert operation in the third presidential debate. Romney acceded to Petraeus’s request.

 NOT IN SYRIA

Only in Saudi Arabia the ruling family of Al Saud has imposed their name on the whole country , which is something that we do not witness in any other place .

Only in Saudi Arabia women are not allowed to drive a car, nor to travel alone.

Only in Saudi Arabia there no parliament and no elected cabinet and the king is the only ruler and the chief Commander of the army and he is the sole ruler and the absolute monarch.

Only in Saudi Arabia the royal family counts around 7ooo members and each one of them has a monthly salary that amounts to a quarter of a million dollars while a big portion of the population lives under the limit of poverty.

Only in Saudi Arabia 5 persons share the 1/5 of the revenues of the oil of the country .

Only in Saudi Arabia the arm deals are the biggest ever witnessed., .the latest one reached the amount of 60 billion dollars.

Only in Saudi Arabia the country is divided in districts each ruled by a member of the royal family in a despotic absolute manner .

Only in Saudi Arabia there is no freedom of expression , and all the media is owned by the royal family and speaks in their name and voices their opinion alone.

Only in Saudi Arabia, the wealth is owned by the royal family exclusively , and whoever wants a small share should kiss the hands of the princes and wait begging at their doors.

Only in Saudi Arabia , the people do not share in any form in the rule of the country , and do not have a say in any matter , and do not elect any representative not even those of the municipality.

Only in Saudi Arabia the corruption has reached unimaginable forms beyond any remission .

Only in Saudi Arabia the only way to operate a change in the rule is through death and death alone .

Only in Saudi Arabia all these things happen together and at the same time.

ed note–below is sent in from a reader of TUT.
I think this is a viable strategy for us to employ RIGHT NOW, so I am asking all the readers at TUT to consider doing the same.
It may be too late but I e-mailed the White House and left the below message in the comments page. I tried to keep it short and concise and below is a copy of what I sent along with the direct link to the White House’s website.  You have to provide your first and last name, an e-mail address, subject and your zip code. I would urge others to do the same. This is a long shot but if the WH gets a couple of hundred e-mails providing information that the rebels are the ones who used the chemicals not Assad, I am convinced it will get someone’s attention. What they do with it is anyone’s guess but the info will be on the WH’s web servers–they can’t say they didn’t know.

Feel free to drag, copy and paste my message. Doing that takes 45 seconds once you start typing your name.

Dear Mr. President:

Please do not attack Syria or the the government of Bashar Assad. Please do not rely on the “intelligence” provided to you by the Israelis as it has all been fabricated to lure you into military action against Syria.  The rest of the world realizes this and are looking at you as a tool of the Israel Lobby.

Besides, the “FSA rebels” have admitted they were the ones who released the gas–”accidentally” of course. See below:
