Nazi military tells Palestinian refugee camp, ‘We will gas you until you die’ ‘Video’

Zio-Nazi gas pellets on display in a glass case

A shocking video has emerged recording a loud verbal threat from the Israeli military to residents of Aida refugee camp near Bethlehem. As a military jeep rolls down an empty quiet street a threatening voice comes over the loudspeaker  “You throw stones and we will hit you with gas until you die.” The words spoken seems almost unfathomable.

Middle East Eye (MEE) reports the video was recorded on October 29 by a youth, 17-year-old Yazan Ikhlayel, on his iPhone. Ikhlayel was at Aida’s community center with a clear view of the road below. As Ikhlayel recorded the scene the jeep slows and then come to a halt as the threats continue. You can begin to see stones being thrown at :28 in the video. The threat also warns they were holding a person “one of you” and if they didn’t stop throwing stones they would slaughter the person:

Transcript:

People of Aida Refugee camp we are the occupation army. You throw stones and we will hit you with gas until you all die. The children, the youth, the old people, you will all die, we won’t leave any of you alive. And we have arrested one of you, he is with us now. We took him from his home and we will slaughter and kill him while you are watch if you keep throwing stones. Go home or we will gas you until you die. Your families, your children, everyone we will kill you. Listen to me, all of you go home, it’s better for you.

The Middle East Eye spoke with Ikhlayel, “The most important thing I want people to see when they watch this video is to realise what the Israeli ‘democracy’ really is”.  He also insisted this will not stop the protests:

“They have said it for us now, they are an occupation – they said ‘we are the occupation army’. It is proof, this is an apartheid country, it is not democratic at all.”

“This is the first time I heard them say something like that over a speaker for everyone to hear,” Ikhlayel continued.

“The young people aren’t accepting what the soldiers are doing particularly now. They’re going to the streets [to protest] everyday, and they aren’t stopping. They aren’t scared of them.”

When asked if he thinks the soldier’s message would scare the youth enough to stop the protests, Ikhlayel shook his head adamantly.

“This will not stop until the occupation ends,” he insisted.

MEE also interviewed filmmaker and photo journalist Mohammed al-Azza, who has been targeted and attacked by Israeli forces in the past.  Like Ikhlayel, al-Azza also emphasized the soldier’s (unusual) self identification as  “occupation” forces:

“It’s been a long time since we’ve seen the soldiers get on a speaker like that,” al-Azza said.

“But really we were surprised by one word – usually they call themselves the IDF (Israel Defence Forces), they don’t say the IOF (Israeli Occupation Forces) like we do, but that is something good for us, and for people outside the country to hear. They said it to us, ‘we are the occupation’….

“Usually when we talk about Palestine we are telling people abroad what happened, and it’s usually after the Israelis have done whatever they did, but now it’s good that the people can hear it from the soldiers. They said ‘we are going to kill you and we are going to do this and that’ in their message. It’s very important for international people to hear this sort of stuff that we are hearing all the time from them.”

Ma’an News reports: Israeli soldiers tell Palestinians: ‘We will gas you until you die’:

“In this statement, we see — among a range of potential criminal offences — a public threat to kill Palestinian civilians, and to execute a prisoner,”Simon Reynolds, Legal Advocacy Coordinator at the BADIL Resource Center for Palestinian Residency and Refugee Rights, told Ma’an.

“Though such threats are appalling, they are not necessarily surprising. In light of the mounting civilian death toll among Palestinians, such threats merely add words to the deed.

“What we are seeing is an apparent policy of lawlessness in which Israeli forces can wield deadly force with virtual impunity. Especially troubling is that this is a policy that seems to have, at the very minimum, the tacit acceptance of the highest levels of government.”Numerous rights groups have publicly condemned Israel’s disproportionate military response while policing demonstrations and responding to alleged attacks.

“Indiscriminate or deliberate firing on observers and demonstrators who pose no imminent threat violates the international standards that bind Israeli security forces,”Kenneth Roth, executive director of Humans Rights Watch said on Oct. 11, after a HRW research assistant was shot and injured while observing a demonstration near Ramallah.

A Martyr in the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber due to Nazi checkpoints and cement blocks

NOVANEWS

JerusalemThe 52-year old Nadim Shkeirat passed away on Thursday due to the delay of ambulance arrival to his house in the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber because of the Nazi checkpoints and cement blocks inside the village’s streets.Mohammad Bashir, spokesman of Nouran charitable society, explained that paramedics arrived at the house of Shkeirat nearly 11 minutes after receiving a phone call from the patient’s family. The medical staff was delayed due to the traffic jams in the village because of the cement blocks placed by the Nazi Gestapo occupation as well as checkpoints established in the village’s streets; usually, the same way shouldn’t take more than 7 minutes.

Bashir added that the patient suffered a heart attack and lost consciousness.

He continued: “Nouran’s staff transferred the patient to the ambulance but was delayed by the Nazi checkpoint established at the entrance of the village, and the patient was announced dead immediately.”

Examples of U.S. Foreign Policy Dysfunction

NOVANEWS
Image result for U.S. Foreign Policy LOGO
By Rick Sterling

If the U.S. is to ever change its foreign policy based on dominance and aggression to a foreign policy based on diplomacy and respect for international law, there needs to be a foundation of realistic assessments. Foreign policy decisions need to be based on reality not fantasy and propaganda.

Unfortunately, dysfunction, deception and propaganda extend across the spectrum from Congressional Republicans to Hillary Clinton to the White House to Bernie Sanders. The following are recent examples:

Benghazi Hearings in Congress ignore important issues to focus on superficial

Congress recently held hearings on what happened in Benghazi Libya leading up to the death of Ambassador Stevens. The hearings focussed on what former Secy of State Clinton knew, when she knew it and whether she should have ordered more security. Before that, millions were spent exploring the email home server issue.

Meanwhile the root cause of Stevens’ death and consequences of the US/NATO overthrow of the Gaddafi government have been ignored. The hearings were silent on the deaths of tens of thousands of Libyans, the eruption and expansion of terrorism within Libya and beyond and the massive numbers of refugees fleeing across the Meditarranean. Instead of evaluating the consequences of “regime change” in Libya, Congressional members focused on cheap political advantage.  Mainstream media said nothing about the shallowness of the hearings; they were happy to report on political maneuvering and whether or not Clinton would lose her temper or be able to get “above the fray”.

Points which would have been informative to explore include:

  • Were the claims of imminent ‘massacre’ in Benghazi exaggerated and largely false? These claims paved the way to the UN Security Council resolution and NATO imposed No Fly Zone. Was it a fake emergency?
  • Who authorized the transition from “protecting civilians” to a campaign of attack and Libyan government overthrow? UN Security Council members China and Russia both say there were deceived and that the US and NATO violated the UN Security Council resolution.

Politicians and much of the media have portrayed Gaddafi as “crazy” for many years. For readers interested in a reality check, see the short video of Gaddafi’s speech to the Arab League in 2008 as he points out the contradictions of acknowledging Israel on the 1967 boundary, as he warns the Arab League leaders of plots and coups, and as he says “we might be next” (for assassination).  For a concise contrast of Libya before and after the NATO backed invasion see this article aptly titled “From Africa’s wealthiest democracy under Gaddafi to Terrorist Haven after US Intervention”.

Clinton advocates No Fly Zone for Syria despite U.S. military opposition and Turkey turning against it.

U.S. military leadership has generally opposed the “no fly zone” idea.  They have made clear that a “no fly zone” begins with military attacks on anti-aircraft positions and is an act of war. They have underscored that imposing such a zone in Syria would be vastly more difficult than in Libya where there were no sophisticated anti-aircraft installations. Even then it took seven months of intense bombing to overthrow the Tripoli government. The risks in Syria would be huge with a significant chance of international war. The idea is reckless and irresponsible for the following reasons:

  • The areas are controlled by armed opposition groups, predominately Jabhat al Nusra (Al Qaeda). Very few civilians remain in the areas proposed for NFZ in Syria. Most have fled to areas under Syrian government control, especially around Latakia and Tartous. Other have gone to Turkey. The proposal is basically to make US and NATO the air force for Al Qaeda. Amazing.
  • If it was imposed, the No Fly Zone would more likely become an “intense conflict zone” rather than a “safe zone” as promoted by interventionists.  It would bring USA and NATO directly into the conflict which is what the proponents want.
  • There already exists a “safe zone”. It’s called the Turkish border.

Of crucial importance, the second Turkish Parliamentary elections are this coming Sunday November 1. Polls indicate the ruling “Justice and Develpment Party” (AKP) will probably lose majority control of the parliament. It’s possible they will lose power altogether. Either way, this will put a stop to the schemes for an all powerful Turkish President (Erdogan) and continuation of the war on Syria. All three non-AKP parties in Turkey oppose the current policies supporting war and terrorism in Syria.

Clinton’s NFZ proposal is opportunistic and out of step with reality in Syria and Turkey.

White House continues anti-Assad lies as they are further exposed in Turkey

The White House must know very well that Assad government forces did NOT carry out a chemical weapons attack on the outskirts of Damascus in August 2013. They must be acutely aware of this because they could not get the U.S. Intelligence to agree with the statement that Assad was behind the atrocity back in Fall 2013.  Instead of the usual “U.S. Intelligence assesses with high confidence …..” they had to substitute the “US Government assesses …..” Although rarely remarked or noted in mainstream media, this was a significant deviation.

Despite this, and the investigations of the most acclaimed US investigative journalists (Seymour Hersh, Robert Parry, Gareth Porter, Russel Baker) which all point to the Assad government NOT being responsible, just a couple weeks ago the White House spokesman asserted the Assad government “used chemical weapons against his own people”.

Meanwhile last week in Turkey two deputies of the social democratic party CHP held a press conference to expose the evidence of Turkish involvement in shipping sarin to Syria and the refusal of the Erdogan government to pursue the investigation or charge the culprits.

This evidence, including wire taps, supports the conclusions of Hersh and others, that the chemical weapons used in Damascus on August 21, 2013 were supplied by Turkey to armed “rebels”. This further exposes the fact free propaganda that “Assad used chemical weapons on his own people”. Politicians and mainstream media outlets such as PBS Frontline just keep repeating it.

Bernie Sanders joins the absurd propaganda campaign against Venezuela and former leader Hugo Chavez

As recently reported at Venezuelanalysis, Bernie Sanders referred to former Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez as a “dead communist dictator”.  It’s nonsense, just like the White House claim that Venezuela is a “threat to US national interests”. It’s sad that Sanders is following that path.  Chavez was a socialist not communist; he was a member and leader of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela.  Between 1998 and 2013 Chavez and the PUSV competed in elections seventeen times.  They won every time except once. Elections in Venezuela are vastly more free and fair than elections in the US. They have high turnout, they have very active and hard campaigning, there is a paper trail to verify the accuracy of the electronic voting, over 50% of the electronic votes are matched to the paper votes to confirm the accuracy of the vote counting.

National Lawyers Guild and Task Force on the Americas (and others) have sent many delegations to Venezuela. They have observed conditions including the voting process. National Lawyers Guild’s statement on the 2013 election concluded the Venezuelan elections were “well organized, fair and transparent”.  They added: The U.S. would do well to incorporate some of the security checks and practices that are routine in Venezuela to improve both the level of participation and the credibility of our elections,” said NLG attorney Robin Alexander.

So why in the world is Bernie Sanders promoting false propaganda that Chavez was a “communist dictator”?

Task Force on the Americas, based in the SF Bay Area, has written a letter to the Sanders campaign asking him to review and correct his inaccurate statement.

Conclusion

There is profound need for dramatic changes in U.S. foreign policy. Given that over 55% of the discretionary budget of the U.S. goes to the military, it’s likely that positive changes in domestic policy will depend on changes in foreign policy. The starting point has to be realistic assessments of conditions in other countries, sincere examinations of the consequences of past actions and a genuine commitment to abiding by international law.  As we can see from the above examples, there is a long way to go.

JEWISH BDS: jews urge New Yorkers to boycott Roger Waters concert; Theater offers refunds

NOVANEWS

THE ALGEMEINER

A major international Jewish organization this week urged New Yorkers not to attend Friday’s performance by British rockstar Roger Waters at the Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Simon Wiesenthal Center (SWC) blasted the former Pink Floyd bassist, who is now nearly as famous for his promotion of the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement as he is for his music.

Waters — according to the statement, signed by Wiesenthal Center dean and founder Rabbi Marvin Hier and associate dean Rabbi Abraham Cooper — is an “entertainer who hates the Jewish State of Israel.”

The group was referring to Waters’ repeated attempts to pressure fellow artists into refusing to perform in Israel, or into canceling already booked gigs in the Holy Land. Among his targets were Jewish reggae star Matisyahu and Jon Bon Jovi.

The SWC statement stressed that the BDS movement has “never helped a single Palestinian,” and only aims “to demonize and denigrate the lone democracy in the Middle East,” noting that Israelis across the political spectrum have condemned Waters’ support for the boycott of the Jewish state.

SWC Government Affairs Director Mark Weitzman added that Waters’ commitment to freedom of expression is mired in hypocrisy, since he considers it a “crime” to perform for ethnically and religiously mixed crowds in the Israel and opposes “anyone who wants to share their talents with the people of Israel.”

The SWC, therefore, called on New Yorkers “to give Roger Waters the reception he deserves: an empty hall.”

According to the Southampton Patch On Wednesday, the Bay Street Theater announced that anyone who wishes to boycott his sold-out performance will be given a refund.

Bay Street Executive Director Tracy Mitchell told 27east, a site calling itself “Your connection to the Hamptons,” that the theater is “committed to the right to free speech but also respects the rights of others who are offended by Mr. Waters’s scheduled show.”

Historic Palestinian and Jewish homes seized and turned into concrete boxes by I$raHell

Marianne Azizi writes:

In the town of Rehovot (Khirbat Deiran) in what is now Israel, there are over 100 buildings which are listed as “unknown”. One such building is a house constructed over 250 years ago by an Arab sheikh.

This was before the establishment of the state of Israel, when many families lived on the land as farmers and farm workers. Jewish settlers of Russian descent also lived in the area.

As the Jewish occupation of the land increased, the house was sold by the owner’s son to a Yemeni Jewish family in the 1930s.

Their ownership of the house continued until the 1990s when it was taken from them by the Israeli courts.

Twenty years ago, the court decided that the property was of historic interest and declared that no one could live in it. The occupants were evicted and court battles raged as they fought to keep their property of over 60 years.

However, even before the final judgement was made the house was filled with concrete. It stands empty to this day.

The residents of the town were shocked at the criminal act of destruction of such a beautiful site. It is still not certain why the house was seized and its occupants evicted.

This is by no means an isolated case. Many old buildings in today’s Israel are taken over by the state.

A similar situation occurred in the old city of Jaffa when a Palestinian family fought and succeeded in preventing their historic home from being sold for demolition to build new apartments.

Generations of love imbued in the home by both Arabs and Jews are now truly set in stone, empty, forever.

Police Drag Away Japanese Seniors Protesting US Military Base Relocation

NOVANEWS

Elderly protesters were dragged off by riot police on Thursday after staging a sit-in and blocking a road in protest of the construction of a new US military base in Okinawa.

Hundreds of people participated in the demonstration, sitting or lying on the ground in the road to Camp Schwab in an effort to prevent vehicles transporting building materials from accessing the site.

“Don’t lend a hand in the construction of the military base!” the crowd chanted as they were dragged away.

For two decades the military has been wanting to move the Marine Corps Air Station Futenma Okinawa base further north in Okinawa.

The plan to relocate the installation has drawn protests by tens of thousands of residents who worry about sexual assaults by US service members, violence, and the environmental impact on local ecosystems.

Over 50,000 US military personnel currently reside in Japan, and more than half of those live in Okinawa.

“Don’t the people of Okinawa have sovereignty?” 70-year-old Katsuhiro Yoshida, an Okinawa prefectural assembly member, told theAsahi Shimbun. “This reminds me of the scenes of rioting against the U.S. military before Okinawa was returned to Japan (in 1972). Now we are facing off against our own government. It is so contemptible.”

The current governor of Okinawa, Takeshi Onaga, was elected on the premise that he would not allow the base to be constructed. He made good on that pledge, until Japan’s land ministry announced this week that they were overriding his decision.

“The fact that they forcibly executed this construction, there is nothing but anger,” Takashi Kishimoto from the Okinawa Peace Movement Center told NBC News. “We are outraged at these political tactics which ignore will of the people.”

A poll conducted by the Okinawa Times found that 76% of residents are opposed to the construction of a new base.

JerusalemFor the second consecutive day, the occupation forces raids Al-Maqased hospital in the village of Al-Tur in Jerusalem.
The occupation masked Special Forces surrounded the courtyards of the hospital and were stationed at the outside gates and then stormed into the main building.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the occupation forces were looking for evidence and the medical file of a 16-year old child that has been detained for several days in order to convict and to continue detaining him. The forces found a medical prescription when they raided and searched the child’s house; note that he has been presented to court and the judge extended his arrest three times.
Sources added to the center that the forces confiscated the DVR device of the surveillance cameras on Wednesday following an order from the occupation’s court.
They also recorded the names of several employees and their phone numbers especially the ones on duty in the emergency department and threatened to interrogate them.
The hospital’s administration confirmed that they provide treatment to injured people without taking their names or any of their information details; the medial staff’s duty is to provide treatment only.
The forces had raided the hospital on Tuesday and interrogated a doctor and also called another for interrogation.
The hospital’s administration requested the international and legal commission specialized in human right and protecting the rights of patients to immediately provide protection to the hospital that the occupation forces deliberately raid on a regular basis.
The administration also confirmed that the occupation authorities are violating all international regulation which guarantees the neutrality of the hospital and the right of the patient to receive treatment. Also, raiding hospitals and interrogating doctors is a brutal violation to the sanctity of the hospital.المقاصد تفتيش12185658_10153090569147466_882547222_oالمقاصد

Nazi The public prosecution withdraws the appeal submitted against Ghada Odat Allah

NOVANEWS

JerusalemNazi prosecution decided on Thursday morning to withdraw the appeal it submitted against the 42-year old Ghada Odat Allah in which it requested to extend her arrest to continue interrogating her on charges of “intention to carry out an attack”.Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the prosecution decided on Thursday morning to withdraw the appeal submitted against his client Odat Allah; she will be released within hours. The lawyer explained that the Magistrate judge decided on Wednesday to release his client Ghada but the prosecution refused the judge’s decision and requested to freeze it until they appeal it at the District court. On Thursday morning, the Nazi prosecution decided to approve the Magistrate judge’s decision to release Ghada with a third-party bail of 6 thousand NIS.

Lawyer Mahmoud condemned the prosecution’s procedures and said: “The Israeli police are taking advantage of the legal procedures and delay the release of detainees”; note that Odat Allah is married and has five children.

Nazi website “Hadashot 24/7” released two days ago on its page on Facebook a picture of Ghada and claimed that he intends to carry out an attack. It requested the Israeli community to be careful and participate in identifying this woman; she was called for interrogation and extended her arrest for further interrogation.

German intel: Migrants will bring anti-Semitism

NOVANEWS
CHRISLAM

 JERUSALEM POST

BERLIN – Germany’s security and intelligence agencies expressed alarm over the influx of refugees and migrants who harbor radical Islamic views and hatred of Jews, according to a Sunday report in Welt am Sonntag.

According to a security document obtained by the paper and read by top-level agency personnel, “We are importing Islamic extremism, Arab anti-Semitism, national and ethnic conflicts of other peoples as well as a different societal and legal understanding.”

The newspaper wrote that security sources warn that “the integration of hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants Germany is no longer possible in light of the number and already existing parallel societies.”

The term “parallel societies” in Germany is frequently defined as insulated Muslim communities that have little or no contact with mainstream society.

The document, called “the non-paper” because it was not signed, stated: “German security agencies…will not be in the position to solve these imported security problems and thereby the arising reactions from Germany’s population.”

A senior level security official told the paper that, “The high influx of people from all parts of the world will lead to instability in our land.” The official added, “We are producing extremists through immigration. Mainstream civil society is radicalizing because the majority don’t want migration and they are being forced by the political elite.”

He predicts that many Germans “will turn away from the constitutional state.” The paper’s exclusive information came from the four major security agencies in Germany – the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, the Federal Intelligence Service, the Federal Police and Federal Criminal Police Office.

According to the paper, the agencies raised pressing security concerns about the wave of migrants entering Germany.

The dire warnings from the security agencies and officials appear to be the first governmental statement about Arab anti-Semitism. In early October, in a meeting with Chancellor Angela Merkel, the head of Germany’s Central Council of Jews in Germany, Josef Schuster, raised the community’s concern about Jew-hatred from immigrants and refugees from Muslim-majority countries.

He told Die Welt daily, that “among the people, who have sought refuge in Germany, many come from countries in which Israel is an enemy and are raised with this hostility toward Israel.”

He said the migrants “frequently carry over their resentments toward all Jews in general.”

Merkel assured Schuster for that reason, “We must take care of that.” She offered no specifics.

Meanwhile, Austria accused Germany on Saturday of absorbing too few refugees. Austrian Interior Minister Johanna Mikl-Leitner told the country’s largest paper, Kronen: “We are at the limit. Some 6,500 refugees travel every day to Austria and Germany only takes 4,500. Germany actually takes too few refugees.”
