The White House has denied the memo which claims that up to 100,000 troops will be used for a migrant crackdown.

U.S. President Donald Trump may have plans to step up his attack on undocumented migrants by deploying up to 100,000 troops from the National Guard to help capture authorized migrants, according to a memo shown to AP. The plan would send troops not only to border states, but also farther north. An administration official denied the veracity of this report to NBC.

The Associated Press reported Friday that Trump’s administration was looking at using the National Guard across 11 states to round up people who were illegally in U.S. territory.

The media outlet cited an 11-page draft memo written by U.S. Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly and addressed to heads of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

However, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer referred to the report as false and “irresponsible” and said there been no push by the administration to use the National Guard.

According to the Jan. 25 memo, troops would be used in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas which all border Mexico, but also as far as Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana.

It what appears to be a manifestation of Trump’s promised “border force,” National Guard troops would “perform the functions of an immigration officer in relation to the investigation, apprehension and detention of aliens in the United States,” the memo read.

It comes following Trump’s executive order to cut federal funding to so-called “sanctuary cities” protecting immigrants, with federal immigration officials already arresting hundreds of people. The executive order also widened the definition of who is a criminal and can be targeted for deportation. Commonly memos are issued to give context following an executive order.

The draft memo explains how the plan would allow National Guard personnel to search and carry out immigration enforcement and hire 5,000 more border agents with additional funding from Congress. It also mentioned Trump’s election promise to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border in an attempt to cut down migration.

Additionally,  state governors would be able decide if they wanted to have their National Guard troops used in the plan. Spokespeople for the governors of Arizona, Utah, Nevada, California, Colorado, Oklahoma, Oregon and New Mexico, who were contacted said that they were unaware of the proposal.

According to AP, the draft memo has been circulating among the Department of Homeland Security staff for the last two weeks.

Typically the National Guard are deployed in emergency and security situations, but in the past, troops have been called in to help migrant situations along the U.S.-Mexico border. However, never have they been used so far north or in such large numbers as the memo suggested.

Several U.S. cities protested against Trump’s immigration policies Thursday by partaking in a “Day Without Immigrants” that encouraged immigrants to stay home and boycott work, school, opening up businesses or shopping.

The Colombian Nobel prize winner in Literature will be remembered in Cuba, one of his favorite destinations.

A statue to honor Colombian writer and Literature Nobel prize winner Gabriel Garcia Marquez will be unveiled in Havana, Cuba on Thursday to remember his literary work and legacy for Latin American writers.

Cuban artist Jose Villa Soberon was commissioned to make the sculpture to be placed in the Museum of the Caribbean in Barranquilla. The current Colombian ambassador to Cuba, Gustavo Bell, insisted on also installing a copy in Havana, a city visited many times by the author.

Villa Soberon said that he only accepts work that he connects with, and this one caught his attention. The artist is also working on a sculpture of Cuban ballet dancer Alicia Alonso.

Some of Villa Soberon’s most famous works include a monument to John Lennon in a park in Havana, a sculpture of Ernest Hemingway located in the restaurant El Floridita in Havana and a Benny More figure on Paseo del Prado in Cienfuegos.

The garden of the Art and Literature Institute of Havana in the historical center of the city will hold the sculpture, which is inspired by the moment when the writer attended the Nobel Literature prize ceremony in Stockholm, Sweden in 1982.

The statue of Garcia Marquez is wearing a liquiliqui, a traditional suit from South America, in the region between Venezuela and Colombia, and holding books and a yellow flower.

According to Villa Soberon, the 26th International Book Fair, celebrated in the Cuban capital from Feb. 9 until Feb. 19, provides the appropriate framework to inaugurate the piece.

He says it pays homage to Garcia Marquez on the 90th anniversary of his birth and 50 years after the publication of his masterpiece “One Hundred Years of Solitude.”

How the ‘Alt-Right’ Builds On Earlier Far-Right Upsurges

NOVANEWS

The “alt-right” network has brought together multiple currents, from neo-Nazis to men’s rights activists, right-wing anarchists to neo-reactionaries.

The day after Donald Trump’s upset electoral victory over Hillary Clinton, “alt-right” founder Richard Spencer declared that his movement was “the new Trumpian vanguard” — offering ideological direction to Donald Trump’s fuzzy-headed populism. Spencer and his comrades have generally supported President Trump’s early measures but they want more — a total ban on all immigration, for instance — and instead of Trump’s dog whistle appeals, they advocate an explicit politics of race. Some Alt-Rightists, in addition, have warned that they might “revolt” if the Trump administration doesn’t follow their lead.

INTERVIEW: The Battle Against Trumpism and Specter of 21st Century Fascism

The alt-right (short for alternative right) — a loose network of white nationalists, misogynists, and authoritarians who are as hostile to mainstream conservatives as they are to multicultural liberals — offered vital help to Trump’s presidential campaign through the skillful use of internet memes and online harassment of Trump opponents. But they have never seen Trump as truly one of their own or believed he would bring about the changes they wanted. Most alt-rightists hope that a Trump presidency will give them space to promote far more sweeping changes — notably dismantling or seceding from the United States to establish a white “ethno-state.

The alt-right’s attitude toward Trump highlights an important dividing line within the U.S. right — the divide between those who accept the legitimacy of the existing political system, and those who don’t. I reserve the term “far right” for forces that (1) regard human inequality as natural or inevitable and (2) reject the established political order on principle. The “system-loyal right,” by contrast, includes those forces that want to make change through incremental measures. An analogy on the left is the difference between social democrats and communists, reformists and revolutionaries.

RELATED: Trump Erases Jews From Holocaust While Banning Muslim Refugees

One of the biggest ways that far rightists make an impact is through collaboration and interchange with system-loyal rightists, such as alt-rightists helping to put Trump in the White House and using his campaign to increase their own visibility. Yet the two part company on whether to accept the U.S. political system or abandon it and sooner or later that is likely to lead to conflict.

Far-right movements, as I use the term, have risen periodically in U.S. history, starting with the original Ku Klux Klan in the years after the Civil War. Denouncing northern “military despotism,” the Klan and similar vigilante groups waged a campaign of terror across the former Confederacy to disenfranchise African-Americans and destroy the Radical Reconstruction state governments in which black people played a leading role. By contrast, the second Klan, founded in 1915, was a system-loyal movement that vilified Catholics, Jews, and immigrants as well as Blacks, but found ample room to promote its supremacist politics within the political order of its day.

Today’s far-right politics began forming in the 1970s and 80s as part of a broader rightist backlash against the progressive upheavals of the 1960s. The Black liberation movement and other social liberation forces not only challenged established hierarchies and transformed U.S. culture; they also brought about big changes in the U.S. government’s role. Under pressure from the left, the federal government banned racial discrimination and protected Black people’s right to vote, created new social programs such as Medicare and Medicaid, increased regulation of business in areas such as the environment and occupational health and safety, strengthened protections for criminal defendants and prisoners, and expanded women’s reproductive rights.

RELATED: White Nationalists Crowdfund Hunt for Richard Spencer Attacker

Most of the rightist counterattack to these changes, such as the Reagan Revolution of the 1980s, was designed to shift the existing political system in a more conservative direction. But for the first time since World War II, a significant minority of rightists began to withdraw their loyalty from the U.S. government. In the 1960s, white supremacist groups such as the Klan had concentrated on defending Jim Crow segregation and keeping Black people from voting. After these efforts were decisively defeated, many white supremacists gravitated toward a new kind of revolutionary rightist politics, based on an unprecedented convergence of Klan and neo-Nazi forces.

By the 1980s, a resurgent white supremacist movement was pursuing multiple strategies. David Duke used an electoral strategy, masking his neo-Nazism behind a populist veneer, and pioneered campaign themes that system-loyal rightists such as Patrick Buchanan later emulated. Tom Metzger’s White Aryan Resistance developed a militant, street-fighting presence, recruited heavily within the skinhead subculture, and promoted Third Position politics that blended racism with twisted anti-capitalism. Most dramatically, an underground cell known as The Order “declared war” on the U.S. government and embarked on a string of bank robberies, killings, and bombings before its members were rounded up or killed in shootouts with the police.

In the 1990s, a broader array of rightists — including neo-Nazis, the Christian right’s hardline theocratic wing, and some anti-environmentalists, gun rights activists and libertarians — converged to form the Patriot movement, which grew explosively to include some 858 groups in 1996. The movement warned that globalist elites were plotting to overthrow the U.S. Constitution and impose a dictatorship. This claim involved wildly implausible conspiracy theories but was fueled by real acts of deadly state repression, notably federal assaults on the Weaver family home in Ruby Ridge, Idaho, in 1992 and the Waco, Texas, compound of the Branch Davidian religious cult in 1993. Patriot activists promoted hostility to the federal government and formed “militias” and “common law courts,” which claimed to exercise governmental authority. Some of these groups rejected the federal government on principle, and a few planned or carried out physical attacks on federal institutions or personnel. The Patriot movement declined sharply in the late 1990s, partly due to increased government investigation following the 1995 Oklahoma City Bombing by neo-Nazi Timothy McVeigh and others, which was widely but inaccurately blamed on Patriot groups. The movement rebounded after Obama was elected president.

RELATED: Fascist Trump Labels Venezuela and Cuba ‘Oppressive’

Today, the alt-right is spearheading a new far-right upsurge. The movement has brought together multiple supremacist and authoritarian currents, from neo-Nazis to men’s rights activists, from right-wing anarchists who envision Nietzschean supermen rising above the sheeplike masses to neo-reactionaries who think that popular sovereignty is a grave threat to civilization. Like other far-right movements before it, the alt-right has attracted system-loyal sympathizers and apologists — known as the alt-lite — who help spread a lot of its message without endorsing its full ideology or ethno-state goals. This alt-lite includes Steve Bannon, formerly Breitbart News head and now Trump’s chief strategist, who stuck the alt-right label on his own brand of authoritarian nationalism in the same way he latched onto the Tea Party label a few years ago.

Unlike the Nazi-Klan movement of the 1980s or the Patriot movement of the 1990s, the alt-right mostly exists online. This means it is unlikely to take up armed struggle or organize militias, but it has powerful tools to continue its metapolitical strategy, to shift the parameters of political discourse as a first stage before transforming institutions. And unlike the previous two far-right upsurges, which were met by federal government crackdowns, the alt-right now faces a presidential administration that it helped to put in power. The alt-right’s alliance with Trump could flounder on many issues — from the president’shalf measures on border control to his strong support for the government of Israel — but for the time being it offers unprecedented opportunities for far-right politics to grow and thrive.

Basic Income as a Neoliberal Weapon

NOVANEWS
  • A large poster in a square in Geneva, Switzerland, promoting the idea of a universal basic income
A large poster in a square in Geneva, Switzerland, promoting the idea of a universal basic income | Photo: Reuters
There are a wide range of notions of what a BI system might look like. Devotees of free market capitalism have their own vision.

In April of this year, the Ontario government is expected to release details of a pilot project that will study the effects of a very limited and rather dubious attempt at Basic Income or BI. As with similar experiments in Finland and the Netherlands, nothing approaching a universal payment will be put in place. Rather, a sampling of the poorest people will be provided with a very modest allowance, with fewer bureaucratic strings attached than under existing systems of income support.

OPINION: Workless Utopias and the Return of the Future

These experiments are really focused on the impacts that the measures will have on the people being tested, with a major focus on to what extent “labor market participation,” which really means readiness to take low paying jobs, is enhanced. In truth, it’s really poor people who are being evaluated and not a system of BI. For that to happen, the impact of introducing the measure on a massive scale would have to be assessed. The results for the people being tested are probably quite predictable. If those in poverty are given an increased payment with less intrusion into their lives, we may expect that they will be somewhat better off. The real issue is what kind of a BI would be implemented across an entire political jurisdiction and what impacts would such a measure how on society as a whole.

There are a wide range of notions of what a BI system might look like. Devotees of free market capitalism have their own vision. The right wing U.S. political scientist, Charles Murray, advocates a meager universal payment and stresses vehemently that this must replace entirely the other elements of social provision. The liberal to radical left supporters of a progressive BI counter with models that are anything from modestly redistributive to radically transformative, some even dreaming of a universal and very adequate payment that would rob capitalism of any capacity to economically coerce workers. The problem with all of these plans is that, despite thoroughly good intentions, they fail to address the actual practical possibilities of their being implemented. It is just assumed that fairness and social justice can be introduced by way of a social policy initiative.

RELATED: India Considers Universal Basic Income to Eradicate Poverty

Before we consider the prospects for a BI that would improve lives and reduce poverty, we should examine the factors that have shaped existing systems of income support. If we go back to the roots and consider the English Poor Laws, we see a peasantry being driven off the land in the 1500s and forced to enter a newly created job market. An oversupply of labor served the interests of the employers of the day but total abandonment of the unemployed led to dangerous levels of social unrest. The solution the State came up with was a system of provision that might enable people to survive but that was as inadequate as possible so as to continue to drive people into the lowest paying jobs. Modern systems of welfare and social assistance have continued with this approach and are marked by meager payments and bureaucratic intrusion into peoples’ lives.

As the neoliberal agenda took root and intensified and, as employers sought to lower wages and increase the rate of exploitation, a systematic degrading of income support systems was carried out in all countries that had the elements of a welfare state in place. This led to a scramble for the worst jobs and an explosion of low wage and precarious employment. From the standpoint of the architects of neoliberalism, this has been an enormously successful and profitable strategy. Yet the advocates of a progressive BI imagine that all this can be put behind us simply by somehow convincing governments to adopt a social policy that will make everything rational and fair. They don’t ask themselves why the neoliberal powerbrokers would give up decades of gains by providing income adequacy and, in doing so, increase workers’ bargaining power massively. They don’t ask how, with our unions and movements significantly weakened by the neoliberal attack, we could force the employers and the state to make such a vast concession.

RELATED: Ecuador’s Correa: ‘Neoliberalism Has Failed, Not Socialism’

The danger of not dealing with such issues lies in the above-mentioned right-wing version of BI. When the exploiters and enablers who gather at Davos consider the policy, they realize that it has enormous possibilities for them. With a whole progressive lobby laying down a welcome mat, they can now work on very different brand of BI. A meager and dwindling payment can be provided that in no way interferes with the flow of workers into the low-wage sector. Moreover, if they extend the payment to the working poor, it becomes a de facto wage top-up for employers. The struggle for living wages is now undercut. The most exploitative employers know that their workers are being paid out of the tax revenues and they are under little pressure to raise wages. Governments can freeze of even lower minimum wages and a general lowering of wages sets in.

At the same time as neoliberal BI is used to grease the wheels of super-exploitation, another key element of the neoliberal agenda, privatization, is facilitated. The BI payment, as free market advocates have long suggested, is given in place of the other elements of social provision. As public healthcare, social housing and much else beside are gutted, BI transforms those who receive it into “customers” shopping through the privatized rubble of the social infrastructure. It is, of course, quite possible to design on paper a BI model that is adequate and that does not involve cutbacks in other areas but the question is which version is more likely, based on prevailing economic and political agendas and the present balance of forces in society.

Rather than trust to the Davos crowd and hope “the 1%” develops a taste for social justice, a far better approach would be to build the social movements and struggles that can defend past gains and work for expanded and accessible public services. Rather than hope neoliberal governments will offer us a social policy end-run around austerity, far better to press for income support systems that offer full entitlement, adequate payments and that are no longer based on bureaucratic intrusion and moral policing.

Basic Income is a false hope and a pathway to the commodification of social provision that, while it may be paved with good intentions, leads to a destination entirely to the liking of those who design and operate the neoliberal order.

Trump, Like Obama and Bush, Pursues ‘Regime Change’ in Venezuela

NOVANEWS
  • Venezuelan Vice President Tareck El Aissami (L) and U.S. "Insane Clown President" Donald Trump (R)
Venezuelan Vice President Tareck El Aissami (L) and U.S. “Insane Clown President” Donald Trump (R) | Photo: Tareck El Aissami Official Site / Reuters (teleSUR combination photo)
The U.S. government’s targeting of Venezuela’s vice president is just the latest episode in ongoing attempts to subvert Venezuelan democracy.

Based on allegations of drug trafficking, the U.S. government has added Venezuelan Vice President Tareck El Aissami to its list of “sanctioned” Venezuelan officials. Unsurprisingly, Westerns journalists uncritically spread the allegations. Borrowing from Einstein, a definition of corporate journalism could be “the practice of uncritically citing the same dishonest sources over and over again no matter how catastrophic the result.”

RELATED: Venezuela Sanctions CNN in Fight Against ‘Imperialist’ News

The targeting of El Aissami is part of the United States’ “regime change” policy toward Venezuela that goes back nearly two decades. It began shortly after the late President Hugo Chavez was first elected in 1998. As always, the international media’s collaboration with U.S. government objectives is crucial.

In March of 2015, the Obama administration declared Venezuela to be an “extraordinary threat to the national security of the United States.” The U.S. media was truly impressive in the way it maintained a serious tone when reporting that utter lunacy: “a formality required by law in order to carry out sanctions” the New York Times soberly assured its readers. Reflecting and reinforcing U.S. policy, hysterical opponents of Hugo Chavez (and Venezuela’s current president Nicolas Maduro) have long made the international media like the New York Times their stomping ground. Moises Naim, in an op-ed the New York Times ran in March of 2003, said that the Venezuelan government under Chavez was “a threat not just to its neighbors but to the United States and even Europe.“ Naim was a member of the government that perpetrated the infamous Caracazo massacre in 1989, a decade before Chavez first took office. Recently, the western media has falsely depicted Naim as a victim of censorship because broadcasters in Venezuela (where according to an opposition-aligned pollster Chavez remains very popular) passed on a TV series Naim wrote about the life of Chavez. The series has been getting poor ratings in Colombia despite being heavily promoted” there, according to the Miami Herald.

Since 1998, in all national level elections, 41-63 percent of the Venezuelan public has voted Chavista. The low point was the December 2015 elections when 41 percent voted for the government in the legislative elections. Nothing like 40 percent, or even 4 percent, of the international media’s coverage, has ever come from a Chavista perspective. The “left leaning” Guardian in the U.K., which is about as liberal as a major western outlet can get, was about 85 percent hostile toward Chavismo from 2006-2012. Venezuelans like Naim may fail at TV drama, but they’ve been wildly successful at propaganda outside Venezuela where their perspective has always dominated.

RELATED: The Context of Trump’s ‘Vile Aggression’ Against Venezuela

This Reuters article is far from being the worst example of how the media has responded to the sanctioning of El Aissami. Venezuelan officials are quoted by Reuters denying the allegations. Over the years, journalists have actually told me that this is how they provide “balance” in their articles: by including quotes from a government that has been relentlessly lied about and demonized in the western media. Hugo Chavez, who decisively won clean elections with very high turnout against opponents with ample media support in Venezuela, was dismissed by Bernie Sanders as a “dead communist dictator.” That tells you how well most western media consumers are equipped to evaluate statements by the Venezuelan government.

Reuters bolstered the Trump administration’s allegations against El Aissami by quoting David Smilde – a U.S. academic hostile the Venezuelan government. Smilde said the U.S. blacklisting would be “a gift” to Nicolas Maduro’s government and added that “to be clear, El Aissami and others should be held responsible for their actions. However, it should be understood this process has pernicious unintended consequences. I think we are effectively witnessing the creation of a rogue state.”

Smilde’s concern that U.S. belligerence might actually help Maduro is a U.S. establishment-friendly critique – the typical “independent” view that supports the basic stance of U.S. elites: El Aissami is guilty and must be “held accountable” by the world’s most dangerous rogue state. Of course, Smilde didn’t mean the Unites States when he fretted about a “rogue state” being created. U.S. aggression has killed about two million Iraqis since 1990. U.S. officials lied about the existence of Iraqi WMD while Saddam Hussein, a monstrous dictator, was telling the truth. Obama, in true rogue state fashion, ensured that Bush-era torturers went unprosecuted while also appointing himself a global executioner through his drone assassination program. In the past half century, hundreds of thousands of Latin Americans have lost their lives thanks to the Unites States’ savage opposition to progressive reform in the region. In Syria, the Obama administration sided with al-Qaida to pursue its geopolitical objectives. A track record of horrific brutality and deceit never undermines the credibility of U.S. officials in the eyes of corporate journalists and the academics they typically turn to for analysis. By contrast, anyone like El Aissami who is denounced by the Imperial Rogue State will struggle to ever clear his name. The facts are irrelevant. Chavez was a “dictator” declared the Imperial Rogue State. The corporate media repeated (or otherwise strongly insinuated) it endlessly. Case closed.

RELATED: Drug Trafficking Accusations Against Venezuela VP Don’t Add Up: Foreign Minister

The U.S. Office of the Inspector General conceded that the Bush administration provided “training, institution building and other support” to groups involved in a military coup that briefly ousted Chavez in April of 2002. An outlet that lacks to courage to state that fact directly could find many independent journalists with years of experience in Venezuela to explain: Rachel Boothroyd-Rodas, Tamara Pearson, Ryan Mallette-Outtrim to name only a few. In fact, Mallette-Outtrim just wrote a devastating response to an Islamophobic article a Washington-based outlet, The Hill, published about El Aissami. But even when corporate journalists know independent journalists, and maybe even respect them, there is always an excuse to turn to someone like Smilde.

It is fascinating to watch the media attempt to shield itself, and U.S. officialdom generally, from the harsh re-evaluation that Trump’s presidency should provoke. Adam Johnson wrote brilliantly about one technique deployed by the U.S. media to avoid looking in the mirror and to avoid acknowledging the ample common ideological ground between Trump and the more conventional members of U.S. political class. The idea that Imperial Rogue State must be not only believed but obeyed runs deep in the international media – even with an Insane Clown President” in the White House.

For the last 4 days, without even a mention in the Zionist-controlled MSM, the Syrian Army has been battering the terrorists in Der’ah with an heretofore unseen ferocity.  It’s been now 8 months since the arrival of highly advanced artillery and rocket systems from both Russia and the Islamic Republic and the SAA has absorbed these new platforms with remarkable alacrity.

Der’ah City:  Using those new artillery and rocket systems, the SAA demolished the Nusra/Alqaeda presence in the Al-Manshiyya Quarter destroying one T-62 tank and killing all the crew aboard it.

Al-Furun Neighborhood:  Yesterday, the SAA artillery and missile units destroyed another tank incinerating the crew of rats in their seats.  Another pickup with 23mm cannons was also disabled.

Old Customs Building:  A mortar launch pad and its crew were liquidate when an SAA missile hit the bull’s eye.

We are but a few miles from Palmyra.  The SAA is moving slowly and cautiously into the areas most prized by the ISIS vultures.  We have learned that the SAA has poured large numbers of troops into the Bayaaraat area allowing the army to liberate Al-Kilaabiyya Village and all its surrounding farms.   As of today, the ISIS terrorist vermin have not been able to squeeze one single drop of oil from any of the oil fields it once controlled.  If anything will break ISIS, it is going to be its imminent bankruptcy.  Turkey is no longer able to keep a lid on its purchase of oil from the fields of Syria.  Erdoghan is approaching this problem gingerly lest he alienate, once again, his newly acquired Russian partners.  With Saudi Arabia, a bankroller for terrorism, itself on the red side of the ledger, ISIS will begin losing members at a rate far greater than what exists today.

IDLIB:  Ziad told you that Idlib would become a self-inflicted slaughterhouse for the terrorist rodents who have congregated there.  And, so, it is taking place now.  Yesterday, reports came in of rodents in Khaan Shaykhoon,  from the various factions of the FSA, such as Jabhat Tahreer Al-Shaam, being forced to kneel down for execution at the hands of Jund Al-Aqsaa.  According to Wael, in Latakia, many were beheaded in the classic style of ISIS using dull blades to sever the head from the rest of the carcass.   The mass executions were carried out in the presence of hundreds of horrified civilians who transmitted the events to the central government.  The speeches preceding each act of savagery indicated dissatisfaction with “moderate” terrorists participating in the Astana and Geneva peace talks.

In another event underlining the pure amorality of the United States and its Zionist allies, Jund Al-Aqsaa advertised its slaughter of over 100 so-called members of the FSA.

The Syrian Army has put the kibosh on all the dreams of the Saudi/American/Jordanian/British terrorist supporters and enablers in Jordan. The Southern Front has been exposed as a major strategic flop. Even the terrorists, who are being supported by the U.S. despite claims that the Americans are fighting a war against them, are losing men and materiel at a rate which is not sustainable any longer. Efforts to recruit more terrorists among the thousands of refugees in the camps of Jordan have met with failure as Syrians are beginning to realize the trap into which they have fallen. With Trump now plugging the inroads to the U.S., Syrian refugees have come to the unavoidable conclusion that their fate is in their country and under the leadership of one central government. tO help these wretches along, the SAA has killed over 74 rodents during the last 72 hours.

Al-Nu’ayma: An entire nest of rodents was annihilated 5 kms east of the City. The terrorist rodents announced the deaths of these:

Anas ‘Adnaan Kulayb

HOMS:

The Nazi illegal occupation municipality decided to confiscate a land owned by Ghazlan-Abbasi family in Al-Ein Street in Silwan under the pretext of using it for “public benefit”.

Wadi Hilweh Information Center explained that municipality crews raided the village of Silwan on Thursday and hung a note on a piece of land in both Arabic and Hebrew saying: “Order to use an empty piece of land in order to do gardening work”; they also attached a map showing the location of the land.

The center added that the 300-square meters land is owned by Ghazlan family and is classified as “green land” by the municipality where building is prohibited.

According to the Nazi municipality’s order, the land will be confiscate and used for 5 years based on Article 2 of the law of “local authorities – temporary use of an empty land”. Trees will be planted and irrigation systems will be installed as well as equipment and toys.

According to the decision, the owner of the land can submit an objection to the order of confiscating the land within 90 days.

Mohammad Ghazlan-Abbasi (one of the heirs of the land) confirmed his refusal of the order and said: “I will head to court to object the order of confiscating the land even if it is temporary. If the land will be used for public benefit and for the benefit of the locals of Silwan, then we will plant it and install toys and benches.”

Medical negligence inside prisons- 40 hours to treat the “appendicitis” for the minor Majd Sa’eedeh

NOVANEWS

Image result for NAZI CAMP CARTOON

The administration of Megiddo prison released on Tuesday (7/2/2017) the 17-year old Jerusalemite Majd Nader Sa’eedeh after serving his 17-month prison sentence in the occupation prisons between Al-Maskobyeh, Hasharon, Giv’on and Megiddo in addition to the prisons’ hospitals in Afula and Ramleh.

The freed prisoner suffered from medical negligence and a delay in the treatment of pain in his stomach which led to an explosion of his appendicitis causing poisoning and pollution in the stomach that led to weakness in the tissues of the abdominal wall and stomach muscles. He remained under treatment and follow-up for three months later in Afula and Ramleh prisons.

Majd said: “I was arrested in September 2015. Seven months later, I started feeling severe pains in the abdominal area. I was then in Megiddo prison and the prison’s doctor was giving me pain relief medicine which wasn’t reducing the pain. After a week of severe pain, the doctor asked me to drink “Coke” to identify the pain.”

He continued: “I drank the Coke and several hours later I suffered severe pain that I can’t even describe. It was a very difficult night. I couldn’t walk or sit inside the small room where 10 inmates were detained. Everybody requested the doctor to check me and find out what’s happening. The doctor arrived with the guard nearly half an hour later. The doctor checked my temperature through the room’s small window and an hour later received a permit to open the door and transfer me to another room with the young men.”

Majd added “All these hours, I did not receive any treatment. The next morning, I was transferred in a police vehicle while handcuffed to Afula hospital to undergo the necessary check-ups. After several hours of waiting, I was diagnosed with “appendicitis” and the doctors decided an urgent surgery.”

Sa’eedeh continued: “During the surgery it was revealed that the appendicitis had exploded in my abdominal. I remained in hospital under treatment and monitoring for 22 days. Despite the severe pain and weakness I was suffering, my hands and feet were cuffed at all times to the bed, and policemen and guards were present inside and outside my room. My mother was able to visit me 3 times in hospital.”

Nader Sa’eedeh explained that the family found out about their son being inside the hospital from the doctor in duty who called the family to ask for their approval to conduct the surgery for Majd since he is a minor. When the father attempted to get an explanation about his son’s condition, the doctor told him that if he delays the approval, he would take Majd as a dead body because of the seriousness of his condition. He pointed out that Majd underwent the surgery 40 hours after the “appendicitis” had exploded.
