Nasrallah said that they had run a successful campaign, effectively taking most of the land held by the militants formerly known as the al-Nusra Front.

Lebanon’s Hezbollah group announced that it had declared a ceasefire in the Arsal region of Northeast Lebanon bordering Syria, after nearly a week of a successful joint offensive against extremist groups in the region carried out with the Syrian Government.

“What I can say now is that this Tuesday serious negotiations began, and we have to accept them,” Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said during a speech. He said that both the Lebanese and Syrian states participated in these talks as well.

Nasrallah said that they had run a successful campaign, effectively taking most of the land held by the militants formerly known as the al-Nusra Front, which was the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda. The remaining militants accepted an agreement to have safe passage back to Idlib, a region of Syria largely under rebel control, the Lebanese National News Agency reported.

Fighting “shoulder to shoulder” with the Syrian army, Nasrallah said on Wednesday that they were “on the verge of a very big military victory.” The Lebanese state army, which recieves U.S. and British support, did not participate in the offensive, but set up defensive posts behind it.

Security sources have said that nearly 150 fighters in terrorist groups were killed in the offensive, and two dozen Hezbollah soldiers, Reuters reported.

An adjacent area of the combat area is controlled by an enclave of Islamic State group militants, who are expected to be the next targets of Hezbollah.

Hezbollah has played a major role in cooperation with the Syrian government in the struggle against terrorist groups along Syria’s border region.

Nazi regime Threatens to Expel Al-Jazeera After Al-Aqsa Coverage

NOVANEWS
  • Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyanu.
    Nazi Prime Minister Benjamin Naziyahu.
Israeli leadership may be on the verge of a media crackdown as it threatens to expel Al-Jazeera news network from its borders.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened to close down the Jerusalem offices of Qatar-based Al-Jazeera news network, accusing them of “inciting violence” through their coverage of Palestinian protests at the al-Aqsa mosque compound.

RELATED: Palestinians Demand Total End to Israeli Imposition in al-Aqsa

He insinuated that he would work to do so even if current Israeli law prevents him out of “legal interpretation.”

“The Al-Jazeera network continues to incite violence over the Temple Mount,” Netanyahu said on his Facebook account.

“I’ve several times appealed to law enforcement agencies demanding to close Al-Jazeera’s office in Jerusalem. If this does not happen due to legal interpretation, I will work to enact the required legislation to expel Al-Jazeera from Israel,” he continued.

Al-Jazeera reporters have consistently been on the ground in the Palestinian protests against Israeli-imposed restrictions on al-Aqsa mosque access. Last week they published a video depicting an Israeli police officer kicking a Palestinian kneeling on a prayer mat.

Israeli officials have alleged that their reporting on the subject is “pure propaganda.”

“Al-Jazeera is not media, it’s not journalism. It’s an incitement machine. It’s pure propaganda, of the worst variety, in the style of Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia,” the Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman said, the Times of Israel reported.

This isn’t the first time the Qatari news-network, which is the largest and most widespread Arab-language agency, has come under political fire from various regional opponents. Recently, a Saudi Arabian-led coalition listed the shutdown of the agency as a prerequisite for the normalization of diplomatic and economic relations, a threat which was later retracted.

However, Saudi Arabia and Jordan have both shut down Al-Jazeera offices in their countries.

Mass waves of protest erupted following the imposition of heightened “security measures” at the entrance to the mosque compound, which is the third holiest Islamic site. After a two-day shut-down of the compound, the Israeli state constructed metal detectors and cameras at the entrances. In a broad rejection of any Israeli imposed authority over the compound, Palestinians refused to enter and have both prayed and protested outside.

Many called the measures an attempt to increase Israeli control over the compound.

While Palestinians have rejected the measures en-masse, a recent poll found that 77 percent of Israelis supported them.

Summary

Nazi violations of international law and international humanitarian law in the oPt continued during the reporting period (20 – 26 July 2017).

Shooting:

During the reporting period, Nazi forces killed 4 Palestinian civilians, including 2 children, in the West Bank while a third child was killed due to the explosion of a suspicious object from the Nazi forces’ remnants. Moreover, Nazi forces wounded 259 Palestinian civilians, including 8 children and 2 paramedics, in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Two hundred and twenty one of them were in Jerusalem; 19 were in the West Bank while 19 others, including a child and 2 paramedics, were wounded in the Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip continued to chase the Palestinian fishermen in the sea and to open fire at farmers in the border areas.

In the West Bank, on 14 July 2017, in excessive use of force, Nazi forces killed Mohammed al-Teneh (24) from Taqou’a village, east of Bethlehem, after he was shot near the northern entrance to the village.  The Nazi forces claimed that al-Teneh attempted to carry out a stab attack, but eyewitnesses in the scene emphasized they did not see any sharp tool beside his body lying on the ground.

Following the Friday prayer, 21 July 2017, most of occupied East Jerusalem’s neighbourhoods and villages witnessed violent clashes between the worshippers and Nazi soldiers.  Those clashes continued until the afternoon, resulting in the killing of 3 Palestinian civilians, including 2 children; one of whom was shot dead by an Nazi Jewish settler.  In Ras al-‘Amoud neighbourhood, east of the City, Mohammed Sharaf (17) was shot dead when a settler opened fire at him.  Sharaf was hit with 2 bullets to his neck.  In al-Tur neighbourhood, east of the City as well, Mohammed Abu Ghannam (20) was shot dead when Nazi soldiers opened fire at him from a close distance, wounding him to the chest and heart.  In Abu Dis, east of the City, Mohammed Lafi (17) was hit with bullets to his chest, one of which directly hit his heart.

In the same context, on 22 July 2017, ‘Oday Nawaj’ah, from Yata, south of Hebron, was killed after a suspicious object exploded from the Nazi forces’ remnants in Bzeiq area, northeast of Tubas, while grazing his sheep.  It should be mentioned the abovementioned area witnessed many similar incidents as the Nazi forces is used to conducting military trainings there.

During the reporting period, Nazi forces wounded 240 Palestinian civilians, including 6 children; 221 were wounded in occupied Jerusalem, while the others were wounded in the West Bank.  They were directly wounded with bullets, rubber-coated metal bullets, sound bombs and tear gas canisters.

In the Gaza Strip, the border area witnessed peaceful protests against the illegal closure imposed on the Gaza Strip. Nazi forces used force against the protestors. As a result, 19 Palestinian civilians, including 2 children and 2 paramedics, were wounded. Two of them were hit with live bullets and 17 were directly hit tear gas canisters and sound bombs.

In the context of opening fire at the border area, on 23 July 2017, Nazi forces fired two artillery shells at a checkpoint belonging to the Palestinian armed groups, southeast of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.  As a result, the checkpoint and a nearby house sustained damages.

Israel Shamir

A new spectre haunts America. It enters the well-protected boardrooms of newspapers and banks, shakes the deep foundations of its towers. It is the spectre of glasnost: the dark secret of Jewish power is out. Just recently it was ‘third rail’, touch-and-die, deadly dangerous to mention, certain end to a career. Just recently, Joe Public snapped his TV from an eminence with an Israeli passport to a member of a Jewish think-tank, and muttered to himself: Surely it is just a coincidence that so many important and largely unelected people in our country happen to belong to this small minority group. Surely it is just a coincidence that they belong to different parties but reach the same conclusions. Surely it is just a coincidence that ninety per cent of American foreign aid goes to their cousins in prosperous Tel Aviv. Surely it is just a coincidence that they run our newspapers, television, cinema, universities. Anyway, we are not allowed to notice this elephant in our sitting room.

Only rare desperados comment, as Edgar Steele did on Rense.com: “The silence in America concerning Jews is simply deafening, isn’t it? The old adage has it that, when visiting a foreign country, to ascertain who really runs things, one need determine only who is spoken about in whispers, if at all.” Judged by this measure, the Jews rule supreme. Indeed, when I referred to ‘Jewish media lords’ during a UNESCO conference in the summer of 2001, the audience’s hearts missed a beat.

The yet-unfought War on Iraq changed this. The American Ultimatum date was set on 17 March, the Jewish feast of Purim. Purim, 1991 saw destruction of Iraqi armies and death of 200,000 Iraqis. Too many coincidences for a purely American war. The Americans peeped into the bottomless abyss of World War Three and woke up from their generation-long stupor. Thus the first victim of the Iraqi War is not truth, but the strongest taboo in the West. A Democrat member of Congress, usually a most docile specimen, one James Moran, dared to tell his supporters: “If it were not for the strong support of the Jewish community for this war with Iraq we would not be doing this.”

He was immediately slapped by a Jewish overseer: “It is simply stunning to hear Representative Moran make such accusations”, said National Jewish Democratic Council Executive Director, Ira N. Forman. “First, a number of the current leaders of the anti-war movement are Jewish, and Jewish organizations have clearly not been at the forefront among those groups actively and stridently supporting a war in Iraq”. Forman had spoken, and the media reported and amplified his view, and Moran duly recanted, slapped. But he is not the only one.

The secret is out, and like the secret of King Midas and his long ears, it is being sung now from coast to coast, despite the frantic efforts of the organised Jewish community to clamp the lid back on the boiling cauldron. Kathleen and Bill Christison, [i] two ex-CIA experts, exposed the link between right-wing American Jews and the Bush Administration. Edward Said, the most celebrated American thinker of Palestinian origin, stated the cause: “An immensely wealthy and powerful republic has been hijacked by a small cabal of individuals, all of them unelected and therefore unresponsive to public pressure.” [ii]

He was seconded by courageous Herman, Neumann and Blankfort. These Americans of Jewish origin object to the un-elected, anti-democratic Jewish power as they would object to any disproportionate minority power. Their presence, as they were not afraid of the anti-Semitic label, was instrumental in turning the tide and saving the intimidated majority from its browbeating.

Edward Herman, the author of Manufacturing Consent (together with Noam Chomsky), wrote of “the powerful pro-Israel lobby in the United States, which advances Israeli interests by pushing for U.S. aid and protection to Israel, and, currently, by pressing for a war against Iraq, which again will serve Israeli interests. This lobby has not only helped control media debate and made congress into `Israeli occupied territory’, it has seen to it that numerous officials with ‘dual loyalties’ occupy strategic decision-making positions in the Bush administration…”

Jeffrey Blankfort, the Californian who defeated ADL in court and made Foxman pay heaps of dollars for his espionage against activists, took an important next step and rejected the views upheld by Noam Chomsky, Joel Beinin and Stephen Zunes, for these older radicals play down the crucial importance of Jewish power. Jeff Blankfort noticed the roots of the Rupture Evangelicals’ meteoric rise in the US. This obscure sect would never have left its lair in remote Dixie, but for the Jewish media lords. Jeff noticed that when Black Entertainment Television was taken over by Viacom, whose owner, Sumner Redstone (né Murray Rothstein), was recently described in the New York Times as the world’s biggest media owner, he eliminated BET’s news program and began running evangelical Christian infomercials for Israel. Blankfort’s list of ‘Jews in media’ [iii] enables an understanding of the secret of Jewish charm, and it can be compared with a similar extensive list by Prof. Kevin MacDonald of California State University.

The Iraqi War, and even more its linkage with Palestine, became the litmus test of Jewish power. Organised Jewry pushed for war and at the same time denied its involvement. Thus in New York City, the City Council rejected an anti-war resolution, and only 12 of its 51 members were for it. This is not strange for heavily Jewish New York. Indeed, a Democrat, Rep. Robert Jackson, said it in a most straightforward way: “New York City is the home away from home for most Jews; and many members of the Jewish community think [the war is] in the best interests of the state of Israel.” According to Jackson, several of his council colleagues have been intimidated into silence by the pro-Israel crowd: “People are not talking about this.”

Jackson was certainly right, but a Jewish newspaper [iv] (surprisingly or not, all newspapers in the New York area are Jewish) condemned him for … racism: “[He claimed that] not only do the Jews run New York City, but they’ve cowed their opponents into silence. Jackson could as well call New York Hymietown.”

This response is remarkable for its typically Jewish logic. First, the opponent’s rational argument is perverted and distorted, then it is aligned with opprobrium; and at the last stage, the opponent is destroyed forever. That is one of the secrets of Jewish might: the Jews enter a dialogue berserk-like, with great vehemence, quite foreign to the Socratic style. While sane people are satisfied with quoting their opponent and fighting his arguments, madmen (for berserk is a temporarily-mad individual) go for the jugular.

David Mamet, the Jewish American playwright, provides a good example of this vehemence as he notices a “Volvo of old, the vehicle of my brethren, the congenitally liberal. It was festooned, as are its kind, with every sort of correct exhortation: Save James Bay, Honour Diversity, and so on. A most interesting bumper sticker read: Israel Out of the Settlements … a slogan which could best be translated as Hook-nosed Jews Die”.

I wonder why Mamet stopped at this, for with equal adequacy the slogan can be translated as Torture Babies, Denounce America and Burn Apple Pie. Who cares for the form of the Jewish nose? Mel Brooks noticed long ago that Jewish girls have the cutest noses, made by the best plastic surgeons…

It is the racist Jewish policies in occupied Palestine that annoy good, ‘congenitally liberal’ people. But if Mamet were honest, he would not be Mamet.

Now, Bill Keller of the NY Times read the Riot Act to the Americans. He kindly allows that ‘most of the big Jewish organizations and many donors are backing the war’ but insists that ‘the idea that Israel’s interests are driving one of the most momentous shifts in America’s foreign policy is simple-minded and offensive’. Well, Keller is certainly being paid for his convictions by a Jewish media lord, and one of the nastiest, Arthur Sulzberger Jr, the owner of the NY Times, the Boston Globe and a host of other publications. This undermines the possible veracity of Keller’s words. Let something similar be written in a thoroughly non-Jewish newspaper! But alas, there are no important media outlets in the US that are not owned or controlled by Jews …

Surely a coincidence? Do not bet on it. A few days ago, in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, an important all-Jewish conference on anti-Semitism took place under the auspicious aegis of the Sasson Centre. The talk given by the French Jewish historian Simcha Epstein dealt with pre-war France but pertained more immediately to America. This is what Epstein said:

“The pre-war anti-Semites said that the Jews of France organized a syndicate secretly bankrolling and subverting the press. And what did the Jews say at that time? They said: ‘Of course not! No, it’s a lie, of course not! We are not engaged in conspiracies!’ And what did the historians and the Jewish historiography coming afterwards say? ‘Of course not! It is anti-Semitic drivel!’ But we know now from Jewish sources that before the WWII the Jews of France secretly financed the press.

“Since the end of 19th century, there was a secret Jewish organization, well financed, which bought and bankrolled newspapers. Sometimes it took over existing newspapers, which suddenly became pro-Dreifus because they received Jewish subsidies. New papers were created especially by the Jews. Two very important papers of the period, one was called Les Droits de l’Homme, the Rights of Man, was financed by the Jews, and L’Humanité, which was the Socialist and then the Communist newspaper of France, was also financed by Jews. I say this on the authority Jewish sources of course.

“And this brings us to a dramatic dilemma of historiography. Saying this, saying what I said, is something horrible and unacceptable, because it means that the Jews organized a conspiracy and secretly bought the media, or part of the media. That was precisely what the anti-Semites said at that time, and what they still say today. And we know now from Jewish sources that the allegations were true, that there was a Jewish clandestine activity of bankrolling the press.” End of quote.

Some people perceive every suggestion that Jews are able to act together as a mad conspiracy theory. Let them read and re-read this report by a Jewish historian made at a Jewish conference. If it is proven now beyond any reasonable doubt that the Jews of France secretly bought and subverted French media for many years in order to distort the national discourse and eventually push unprepared France into the horrible and unneeded World War Two, is it impossible to consider that the Jews of the US have secretly taken over their national media and are now pushing the US into a horrible and unneeded World War Three?

Actually there is no need for secrecy. One of the chief Zionist ideologists, Zeev Hefetz (ex-spokesman of PM Begin), wrote in an American daily: “Disarming Iraq is only a start in Middle East” as “the Arab and Iranian (sic!) cultures” are “irrational” and that nothing can be done, short of war, to “improve the collective mental health of Arab societies”. [v]Certainly this massive ‘disarmament’ will be carried out by American soldiers, though the commands will be given by the Jewish chicken-hawks roosting in Pentagon. As for reasons for the war, they were eloquently stated by a keynote speaker at a conference on anti-Semitism by Yehuda Bauer, the director of the Holocaust Memorial Institute Yad va-Shem in Jerusalem:

The Jews are not a nation, neither a religion, he said. They are a civilisation, and they have their civilising mission. They cannot tolerate the competing civilisation of Islam, as they could not tolerate Christendom or Communism. That is why the war with Islam is unavoidable.
But the war is avoidable. Even today, at minutes before H-hour, the war is avoidable. And if fire is unavoidable, let the Jewish advisers of President Bush be fired. Let this Purim see the great Exodus of the “Wolfowitz Cabal” from the Pentagon. Excluding the clinical possibility of his actual zombification, G W Bush should be able to understand that he has been misled by this powerful, un-elected minority. They cannot deliver what they promised. Moreover, their own days at the helm of the Republic are numbered. They over-estimated their abilities, and pushed too hard. As the frog of La Fontaine, they can blow up. Bush still can do a U-turn, and save himself and his country.

In a way, today’s America reminds of Russia in 1986, at the beginning of glasnost. After the Soviet citizens were allowed to learn who rules them and how, the days of the Soviet regime were counted. Glasnost gave place to perestroika. Now, for the first time in a generation, Americans are allowed to see the men in power, the toxic combination of the Right-Wing Democrats of Lieberman, the Republican neo-liberals, the Neo-Cons and plain Con-men. The Iraqi War brought them forward and presented them in clear light. Now is the time to undo their hold.

It can’t be postponed for the divisive presidency of G W Bush is perceived as the period of ‘White’ Protestant Anglo-Saxon rule, despite the prevalence of his Jewish advisers. All available contenders for the next elections – Lieberman, Kelly and even Kuchinich – claim their Jewish connections and declare their undivided loyalty to Jewry and to the state of Israel. In the present political setup of America, there will be no real alternative to Jewish ascendancy. If Bush flops, it will be construed by the media as a WASP flop. If he succeeds, it will be seen as success of his Jewish advisers.

That is why American patriot forces should not wait for the next elections, or for the end of war. They must act now, by calling the war off. They have an enemy, but he is not in Iraq. What is called for is a new American revolution, on a par with the New Deal and abolition of slavery, with de-monopolisation of the discourse; that is of media and universities, for starters. In the beginning of the Twentieth Century, Americans undid the mighty Standard Oil. They created new anti-monopoly laws and terminated the threat to democracy. This achievement could be repeated now.

Candidates and government supporters are making the final preparations ahead of Sunday’s election.

Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro has proposed holding round table peace talks with the opposition before the National Constituent Assembly vote on July 30.

Electoral campaigning for the Assembly‘s candidates has drawn to a close at a rally attended by tens of thousands of people in Caracas.

Addressing the crowds, Maduro said “I want peace, reunification and national dialogue”.

“Do you want to give a lesson to these violent people? On Sunday the 30, you have to go out and vote in peace for the National Constituent Assembly,” he added.

Maduro also said he would be setting up a Truth, Justice and Reparation for Victims Commission.

He then went on to criticize the U.S. President Donald Trump, as well as his Colombian and Mexican counterparts, Juan Manuel Santos and Enrique Pena Nieto for speaking out against the Constituent Assembly election.

“What do we do? Who do we answer to?” Maduro asked Venezuelans on the streets. “The people,” answered the crowd.

Maduro said the polls are a vote against imperialism and against Trump, following the announcement of U.S. sanctions on 13 Venezuelan senior officials.

“On Sunday we will choose between a free country or a dominated colony,” he said.

The U.S. State Department is ordering its diplomats’ relatives to get out of the Venezuelan capital.

It’s also allowing government workers to leave its embassy in Caracas and limiting the movement of those who stay.

An updated travel warning on its website urges U.S. citizens not to travel to Venezuela due to ‘social unrest and violence’.

Hundreds of candidates have been giving their final speeches outlining their proposals for the constituent body which will rewrite the country’s constitution following the vote.

Almost 20 million Venezuelans are expected to choose from 6,120 candidates representing diverse sectors and territories of society for the 545-member assembly.

Meanwhile, some sections of the opposition are calling for a boycott of the election and continue to reject Maduro’s offers of dialogue.

Opposition-led protests aimed at toppling the Bolivarian government began in early April.

More than 100 people have been killed and around 1,200 others have been injured.

The right-wing MUD coalition has called for a week of action in the run up to the vote to disrupt the electoral process.

But the latest 48 hour strike failed to bring the country to a standstill and most people went to work as normal.

However, the MUD claimed it was a success and is calling for its supporters to take part in a mass demonstration, dubbed the ‘Great Takeover of Venezuela’, on Friday.

Maduro Calls on Trump to ‘Stop Aggression Towards Venezuela’

Maduro mused that he’d cherish the opportunity to “extend (Trump) a handshake and to tell him that we’re in the 21st century.”

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro reiterated that his country wants to live in peace during an interview with RT Spanish Wednesday.

Faced with a new round of U.S. sanctions against 13 Venezuelan senior officials, Maduro urged U.S. President Donald Trump to exercise reason and halt his administration’s interventionist policy in Venezuela.

“As president, I appeal to him, to President Donald Trump: Stop aggression towards Venezuela. Venezuela is a fundamental basis of stability in the whole Caribbean Basin,” Maduro said.

Contemplating an eventual meeting with Trump, Maduro mused that he’d cherish the opportunity to “extend (Trump) a handshake and to tell him that we’re in the 21st century.” He added that U.S. officials should “dismiss the Monroe Doctrine” because times have changed and these times required an acceptance of “diversity and new, more advanced relationships.”

Venezuela’s head of state noted that U.S. foreign affairs strategists should deliberate with greater rationale and end their aggressive stance because “Venezuela wants to live in peace, it wants to live quietly.”

He emphasized, however, that if the situation deteriorates beyond the harmonious confines of dialogue and peace, something that the people of Venezuela desperately want, “the Bolivarian Revolution will have to take up arms and, once again, we’ll be fighting under the same flag.”

Confronted by an emboldened opposition which has been documented to work closely with sanctions-wielding Washington, Maduro recalled that he’d spent almost the entire month of May “seeking direct dialogue” with them in order for Venezuelan society as a whole to “become members of the Constituent Assembly, but they refused.”

Adding that his political adversaries have ventured to “the radical right,” skirting even traditional allies “who voted for them,” Maduro admitted that his greatest error as president was to “underestimate the opposition, their capacity to inflict damage, their malice, their capacity for violence.”

Maduro also announced that Venezuela will sign new gas and oil agreements with Russia, as he emphasized the importance of maintaining good economic partnerships with major powers.

“For the second half of the year, important documents will be signed to expand bilateral investments between Russian oil and gas companies and our PDVSA,” Maduro told Russia Today.

The announcement comes as the United States increasingly threatens and enacts sanctions against Venezuela. On Wednesday the U.S. Treasury Department made good on Trump threats to impose sanctions on the country if the National Constituent Assembly vote went forward on Sunday, July 30.

Maduro confirmed that despite U.S. attempts to rattle Venezuela’s economy via an “indirect blockade,” the country is equipped to meet all challenges. The end game of such obstruction, as was attempted in 2015 and 2016, Maduro argued, is to force Venezuela’s economy to default.

Despite these attempts, he said that the country has always “paid its bills, met its obligations.” In the event of a complete cutoff between Caracas and Washington, Maduro assured that “the roads leading to the west, to the south, and to the east, fortunately, will stay open for Venezuela.”

Maduro explained that it is essential to maintain good relations and strong partnerships with major global economic powers like Russia and China, and that he was thankful for the solidarity expressed to Venezuela by these nations.

The president said that Russian-Venezuelan relations are “advancing at a good pace,” particularly in the realm of oil, considering the significant investments that Russia has in the Orinoco oil fields.

In addition to oil trade, the two countries share a broad range of mutual cooperation encompassing over 200 agreements in fields ranging from medicine to tourism, agriculture, and mining.

Nazi regime had removed all of the contentious security measures including metal detectors and barriers imposed over the last fortnight and given the go-ahead for worshippers to return.

But Bab Hutta, one of the gates, remained closed.

As Palestinians surged forward to enter the site, Nazi security forces fired tear gas and stun grenades.

The restrictions had been put in place following a shootout which left three Palestinians and two Nazi guards dead on July 14.

Palestinians had protested against the measures while Muslim leaders called for a serious of demonstrations which led to an escalation of tension with Nazi security forces.

Nine Palestinians were killed in the clashes, more than 500 others were injured and dozens of people were arrested.

Raed Saleh, a resident of occupied East Jerusalem, told the Al Jazeera that re-entering the compound on their own conditions was a still victory for Palestinians.
“We never saw this kind of win for our people,”  Saleh said. “People are coming from everywhere just to support us in this occasion.”

“The Israeli government will now understand that Palestinians from Jerusalem will not accept everything they [Israelis] will tell them. We control ourselves. No one is controlling us,” he added.

Muslim religious leaders and Palestinian Authority Zionist puppet Mahmoud Ab-A$$ are calling for prayers to fully resume at the compound.

“We call on Imams to close all mosques in Jerusalem Friday in order for all worshippers to say Friday prayers in Al-Aqsa Mosque only,” said Abdel-Azeem Salhab, the head of the body which oversees the city’s Muslim holy sites.

The Arab League said ”Israel’s removal of new security measures wasn’t effective in solving the long term crisis between Israel and Palestine”.

“Israel’s withdrawal from its provocative and illegal actions solves the crisis they themselves created,” Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the Arab League secretary-general, said at an emergency meeting of Arab foreign ministers.

“Dealing with Islamic sanctities with such imprudence poses a real threat of igniting a religious war because no Muslim in the world accepts tarnishing al-Aqsa or its closure in the face of the worshippers or placing it under Israeli control,”  Gheit said.

Victim of hate crime, Sarah Hassan hugs her attacker Amber Elizabeth Hensley Thursday at the Fargo Police Department - photo provided by Hukun Abdullahi

FARGO – Two of the three Somali-American women threatened with murder two days ago by a white woman outside a local Walmart, met their attacker Thursday afternoon at the Fargo Police Department, and left in friendship.

“We hugged her, we cried,” Sarah Hassan, one of the victims, said. “I love her.”

On Tuesday evening Amber Elizabeth Hensley was filmed through 15-second WeChat video clips threatening the Hassan sisters and Rowda Soyan around 5:30 p.m.

Laleyla admittedly parked to close to Hensley’s blue Honda, and the incident led to Hensley threatening all three Muslim women, wearing hijabs, with death.

On Thursday, however, tempers had cooled after a firestorm of commentary on social media.

“We brought people together and they met each other,” Fargo Police Cultural Liaison Officer Vince Kempf said after the 90-minute meeting. “Relationship building, there was forgiveness and quite possible friendship at the end of the meeting.”

Both Sarah and her sister, Laleyla, have been in Fargo nearly three years, and speak near-perfect English. They wear hijabs, and are Somalis  originally. Both said Hensley’s apology was genuine, and that they have been invited to her house for Christmas.

“It feels good, to be honest,” Laleyla said after the meeting.

“She’s a nice person,” Sarah said. “She had the idea that all Muslims are bad. We just talked about peace.”

“I think things went too far,” Laleyla said. After the meeting, both Fargo women wanted to go immediately to Horab & Wentz, CPA, Hensley’s former place of work, to ask the owners to give Hensley’s job back. Hensley was fired Wednesday, one day after the hate crime was committed.

Horab & Wentz owner and CPA, Scott Wentz, said his accounting firm received hundreds of emails and calls from around the world, including some calls wanting to hire Hensley.

Charges could have been filed against Hensley, Kempf said. With the city dealing with five hate crimes halfway through 2017, mediation and forgiveness was the better route.

“Unfortunately, incidents like what happened this week and the social media commentary following it can cause further division and set us back from progress we are trying to make as a community,” Fargo Police Chief David Todd said.“I want to put before you an example of what can be accomplished even though mistakes were made and unfortunate words were said. Amber Hensley, Sarah Hassan and Leyla [Laleyla] Hassan have all expressed regret regarding their interaction and language with each other.”

The women met, talked through the incident, and regrets were voiced from all sides. Forgiveness followed, Todd said.

Hukun Abdullahi, founder of Afro American Development Association, spent much of the afternoon assisting the peace process. He spoke with Hensley’s former bosses and asked for her job back as well. So far, the owners have declined, Abdullahi said.

“Everybody can make a mistake,” Abdullahi said. “I am very happy she came out and apologized for what she did to the victims. As a community, anything can happen, but we can get together to bring a better solution.”

While Abdullahi was busy helping the Hassan sisters, he received to hateful messages.

“Come to this country, follow our values,” a man named Adam White said in a message to Abdhullahi. “Or you can go back to where you come from.”

Another message written by a man named Lamar Avery, who used a picture of Adolf Hitler as his avatar, told Abdullahi a similar message. “Maybe you should go back to the country where you came from bitch, Americans don’t cater to Muslim terrorist scum.”

“We have some ugliness in our community that needs to be addressed and worked on,” Todd said. “Social media shows us that, however, perhaps we can all take a lesson from what was an ugly unfortunate interaction and how even despite words being said that cannot be taken back, forgiveness and understanding can still be achieved.”

Fargo City Commissioner John Strand, who has put the issue of hate crimes on the next city council agenda, was elated by the news both sides had reconciled.

“If everybody on all fronts can strive to get as much as possible to the higher ground and to see things in the bigger picture and go forward in a way where we undoubtedly become a better community because of it, that’s what we’re aiming for,” Strand said.

“These little steps really add up, and it’s up to all of us which steps we take and I hope we make the best choices possible.”

RACIST RANT CAUGHT ON VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS THE LOCAL FACE OF HATE

Racist fat bitch

Three Fargoans originally from Somalia threatened with death outside local Walmart

“People look at us differently,” Soyan said a day after she was approached by a white woman from Mapleton in the Walmart parking lot. The car she was riding in parked a little close to a blue Honda, and the owner wasn’t happy.

“We’re going to kill all of you, we’re going to kill every one of you fucking Muslims,” the woman in the video said.

Since Rowda Soyan’s arrival in Fargo nearly five years ago, she’s dealt with racism on a semi-daily basis. No one, however, has threatened to kill her or all Muslims just because she wears a hijab. “It makes us feel unsafe, as if we aren’t humans.”

“Our parents are afraid,” Soyan said. “But we’re trying to stick up for everyone. This time, this is it.”

The woman who threatened Soyan identified herself in a Facebook apology post late Tuesday night as Amber Elizabeth Hensley, and worked as a secretary at Horab & Wentz, CPA until after the incident. Her employer said he received hundreds of calls and hundreds of emails from across the nation Wednesday morning, and that Hensley had been fired.

“Horab & Wentz does not agree with or support the statements expressed by Amber Hensley in the recently posted video,” a company press release stated. “She does not represent or reflect the views of Horab & Wentz. Ms. Hensley is no longer employed with Horab & Wentz effective immediately.”

In her public apology, Hensley declared herself a Christian, and that one of the three women cursed Jesus after Hensley asked them about religious issues during the incident.

“She had parked way too close to my car and I couldn’t get in, when I asked her to move she refused, I asked her again and she swore at me, calling me a fat bitch,” Hensley said. “To that, I informed her that I was a Christian, and asked her if she knew who Jesus was. She said ‘Fuck Jesus,’ and I lost it.”

Sarah Hassan, Soyan’s friend, was in the car and filmed the incident, and said at first the woman approached them to say they parked too close, but the conversation took a quick turn when she began talking about her sister’s eyes. Her sister, Laleyla, was driving. Sarah used 15-second WeChat video recordings to film the woman’s tirade.

“And then she started talking about how all Muslims were going to hell,” Sarah said. “And I said no we weren’t, and then she started talking about how Trump was going to deport us all.”

The incident attracted dozens of onlookers, none of whom lifted a finger to help, Soyan said. All three women were wearing their hijabs, preparing to enjoy an afternoon off from work when the incident occurred.

“No one stood up for us, nobody even said a word, it was a scary moment for all of us,” Soyan said. “People need to take this seriously. Someone could die.”

The women, all originally from Somalia, couldn’t sleep last night, and haven’t eaten since, they said, and several of them have lingering headaches and shaky hands from the verbal confrontation. When they heard news the woman who threatened them had lost her job, they shook their heads.

“No one was trying to get her fired,” Soyan said. “It was awful bad when I heard that.”

“If she tells the whole truth, we will forgive her,” Leyla said.

Despite dealing with racism on nearly a daily basis, all three women do not plan to leave Fargo, not yet. “Everyone is telling us we should leave the state now,” Soyan said. “My parents are worried, but where are we going to go?”

Before 2017, Fargo Police Department reported 48 hate crimes in the city since 2012, which involved 13 assaults, eight threats, and three harassment cases that occurred in 2016. Fargo Police Department Deputy Chief Joseph Anderson said he could not comment on the Walmart case as it is currently under investigation.

So far this year, five cases of hate crime have occurred, Abdullahi said. A woman wearing a hijab at Hornbachers in Moorhead was verbally assaulted; an assault that occurred while an immigrant was moving into a new apartment in Fargo; two other incidents, one involving Soyan’s car and a can of spray paint, and then Tuesday’s verbal assault.

Additionally, alt-right, white power posters were stapled to telephone poles in April.

“North Dakota has the highest per capita hate crime rate in the nation, second only to Massachusetts,” Barry Nelson, of the North Dakota Human Rights Commission, said during a meeting on the topic of hate crimes earlier this year. Minnesota has hate crime laws; North Dakota does not, he said.

The issue, Nelson said, is not with police, but with the state legislature’s refusal to change the law to include the definition of hate crime.

“Hate crime is a very difficult thing because you have to get inside the mind of the person who committed the act,” Fargo Police Cultural Liaison Officer Vince Kempf said.

A hate crime nearly took Makruun Hagar’s nose off in 2014, he said. Originally from Somalia, Hagar is a taxi driver, and after he attempted to stop a domestic dispute, the assailant, Dominique Martinez, punched him, then bit his nose. Hagar had three surgeries, and spent eight months trying to fix the damage, but he is still on medication, and can’t breathe properly during the colder winter months, he said.

He keeps the bloody T-shirt as a reminder to himself and to his five children, ages one to eight, that racism in Fargo is a real threat, and that hate crimes can have real, financial, and physical repercussions.

“Every day when I pick up people, sometimes they ask me about my religion, and then ask if I am a terrorist,” Hagar said. “If I was white and if someone bit my nose, the community would help.”

But Hagar is black. A dark skin graft is still visible on his nose from where he was bitten.

“He brought a lot of problems for me and my family,” Hagar said.

Cultural training is needed, said Abdullahi of the Fargo Islamic Center.. Moorhead officials, the mayor, the police chief helped Abdullahi and victims earlier this year when a hate crime was committed. In Fargo, the response is different, he said. The three women who were attacked Tuesday agreed, saying the reactions of people in Fargo compared to across the Red River in Moorhead are astonishingly different.

The best tactic to stop a hate crime, is to let the aggressor know you will not allow the hate to continue, Abdullahi said.

“If you stand with us, be a witness, and say I’m here with you and say, ‘Hey, stop this thing, this is Fargo,” Abdullahi said. “We don’t want to escalate the issue.”

The incident sparked widespread criticism online, with few defenders. Shaun King, senior justice writer for the New York Daily News, posted video of the incident, which had more than 113,000 hits in less than 12 hours.

By 9:30 Wednesday morning, Hensley had taken down her Facebook profile.

Most of the comments online showed disgust. Some defended the woman’s actions online, which quickly became arguments.

“Can’t believe that you are so ignorant that you can not see why people would be forced to act like this, look around, attacks on Christians, everything American is offensive to immigrants (so why did you come?” college students are brainwashed to believe socialism is perfect,” a man named Ricky Jordan, from Texas, said.

“You were born with being politically correct has made human[s] weak, ready for complete control by the few powerful. Oh, wait, that would be the biggest form of slavery in the history of humans.”

“It’s hard to believe that this stuff happens in Fargo,” Dave Lanpher, from Fargo, said. “So much of what we have is the beautiful intersection of differences that can make a stronger community. The courage to stand up to racial bigotry is extraordinary, and I applaud them.”

“She’s disgusting, and anyone walking by that and not stopping to help those three women should be ashamed,” Ellen Becker said.

“Sickening that this type of behavior happens in our state,” Jon Starkey, of Napoleon, said. “Trump’s America.”

“You threatened to kill them, you terrorized them,” Martha Dille, of Moorhead, said. “You were saying what you really believe. Lots of people have bad days, but would never attack innocent people.”

“First of all we never say F*ck Jesus, because we Muslims believe in him as a prophet, a messenger of God, and that one day he will be back, so don’t be telling me no Muslim lady said that.” Kica Take Shahida, originally from Iraq, said.

“In case there are any doubts, I am not a nice guy,” Tom Asbridge, a retired rancher who ran for the North Dakota House of Representatives last year, said. “If humiliation for this type of behavior works, it will be done. No excuses. No level of tolerance on this subject today. This is not 117. It is not okay. Stand up.”

Dozens of commentators said that if they had been at the scene, they would have stopped the woman.
