Skripal Poisoning Fraud Collapsing

NOVANEWS

[Editor’s note: The Skripal poisoning case has always been pretty ludicrous, an old man and his daughter, total non-entities, poisoned with a military grade nerve agent happen to survive and recover. Not likely, nerve agents kill in seconds, and the Russians had no interest in poisoning an old spy who had served his time in prison a long time ago.

Now we have the first concrete proof that the whole sorry narrative is a fraud perpetrated by the British. BZ is a nasty substance developed by the British and Americans, it was tested in Angola and other places, it is a hallucinogen that decapacitates, it is not a fatal nerve agent.

Today the OPCW begin their investigation in Douma, where we are sure they will find no evidence of Assad having gassed anyone.

We should not be surprised if the OPCW investigation in Douma torpedos the ‘Assad the gassing monster’ narrative, just as the Swiss lab tests have sunk the Skripal fairytale.

Furthermore, we would not be surprised if the OPCW findings are ignored and disputed by the US, lest they interfere in the plans for war that appear to be rolling inexorably forward.

We can but hope that the criminal investigations into Trump can remove his orange bloated carcass from the Oval Office before it is too late. Ian]

Lavrov: Swiss lab says ‘BZ toxin’ used in Salisbury, not produced in Russia, was in US & UK service

The substance used on Sergei Skripal was an agent called BZ, according to Swiss state Spiez lab, the Russian foreign minister said. The toxin was never produced in Russia, but was in service in the US, UK, and other NATO states.

Sergei Skripal, a former Russian double agent, and his daughter Yulia were poisoned with an incapacitating toxin known as 3-Quinuclidinyl benzilate or BZ, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, citing the results of the examination conducted by a Swiss chemical lab that worked with the samples that London handed over to the Organisation for the Prohibition of the Chemical Weapons (OPCW).

The Swiss center sent the results to the OPCW. However, the UN chemical watchdog limited itself only to confirming the formula of the substance used to poison the Skripals in its final report without mentioning anything about the other facts presented in the Swiss document, the Russian foreign minister added. He went on to say that Moscow would ask the OPCW about its decision to not include any other information provided by the Swiss in its report.

The Swiss center mentioned by Lavrov is the Spiez Laboratory controlled by the Swiss Federal Office for Civil Protection and ultimately by the country’s defense minister. The lab is also an internationally recognized center of excellence in the field of the nuclear, biological, and chemical protection and is one of the five centers permanently authorized by the OPCW.

The Russian foreign minister said that London refused to answer dozens of “very specific” questions asked by Moscow about the Salisbury case, as well as to provide any substantial evidence that could shed light on the incident. Instead, the UK accused Russia of failing to answer its own questions, he said, adding that, in fact, London did not ask any questions but wanted Moscow to admit that it was responsible for the delivery of the chemical agent to the UK.

The scandal erupted in early March, when former double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia were found in critical condition in the town of Salisbury. Top UK officials almost immediately pinned the blame on Russia.

Moscow believes that the entire Skripal case lacks transparency and that the UK is in fact not interested in an independent inquiry. “We get the impression that the British government is deliberately pursuing the policy of destroying all possible evidence, classifying all remaining materials and making a transparent investigation impossible,” the Russian ambassador to the UK, Alexander Yakovenko, said during a press conference on Friday.

Russia mulls supplying S-300 missile systems to Syria after US-led strikes

NOVANEWS

…from Russia Today, Moscow

The Scientific Research Facility was totally destroyed but appears to have been completely empty

[ Editor’s Note: The S-300s are a game-changer primarily for the Israelis. If deliveries of these start up again to Syria, it will also be a Russian signal to Israel that attacks on Damascus using Lebanon will be contested.

While the air-defense missile batteries might be SAA-manned and -controlled, the radar and target selection will be centralized over a secure network, probably a Russian one to protect it from electronic warfare. The best way to kill an air defense is by taking its communications down.

I picked up from an English-subtitled Russian program today that Syria had 40 Pantsir AA systems, but they were being used for defending high-value targets.

The biggest anomaly we have in the US-Russian reporting was the number of airbases that were also targeted. The Russians reported that several had no missiles get through to them. The US announced three target hits, and just left the others out.

The screwup there is the US claim that 76 missiles were sent in to take out the empty research facility, which is ridiculous. So it appears that it placed the shot down missiles at that location, which, if true, will have a motherload of missile debris left behind.

From the video footage below, it shows no vehicles on the facility, and in the debris, none of your typical, office-facility furniture and endless paperwork and files that would be scattered and blowing all over.

If Russia wants to, it can publish the tracking of every incoming missile. We are already getting video and photos of some of the downed missiles. You can rest assured that the Russians are already working to learn how the missiles that got through, did so … Jim W. Dean ]

This is an SAA AA missile going off this morning after the attack was supposed to be over. What’s up with that?

– First published … April 14, 2018 –

Russia may consider sending supplies of S-300 missile systems to Syria in the wake of recent US-led airstrikes, Russian General Staff Spokesman General Sergey Rudskoy said.

“I would like to note that a few years ago, taking into account a pressing request of some of our Western partners, we stopped supplying S-300 air defense systems to Syria,” Rudskoy said. But given the latest developments, Moscow believes it is “possible to return to mulling over the issue, and not only with regard to Syria but also to other states as well.”

Following the barrage of missiles aimed at “military and civilian”infrastructure, Damascus intercepted 71 out of 103 projectiles.

Syrian air defense systems S-125, S-200, Buk, and Kvadrat were involved in the operation to thwart the missile strike. The weapons date back to the times of the Cold War, as they “were manufactured in the Soviet Union,” the general added.

Below is what the research facility looked like after taking the most missile hits.

Syrian air defenses did all they could to protect the country. Ruptly footage shows surface-to-air missiles responding to the “one-time” strike on Damascus.

The offensive in retaliation to the alleged Assad-orchestrated chemical attack in Douma on April 7 came just hours before the UN’s Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) experts were scheduled to visit the site on Saturday to determine whether chemical weapons had been used there last week.

Russia and Iran slammed the strikes as a clear violation of international law and said it would only contribute to more chaos in the region. Syrian President Bashar Assad said that Washington and the West simply realized they lost control and credibility in the conflict.

Syria: False Flag Attack in Douma

NOVANEWS

Michael Shrimpton analyzes the latest false flag attacks and asks what has happened to Yulia Skripal?

It’s just as well that someone appears to have tipped off the Russians about the targets! Thankfully, it’s kept the death toll low. Last night’s US/British/French attacks on Syria were based on a false and unlikely premise. It is wildly improbable that the Syrian regime was responsible for the chemical weapons attack in Douma last Saturday (April 7th).

The Allied response was conveniently timed for Theresa May – as I predicted last week someone seems to have kidnapped Yulia Skripal. At any rate she has disappeared (Yulia Skripal that is, not Theresa May). No one has heard from her, other than a dubious and unverifiable statement issued on her behalf by the Metropolitan Police. May of course is desperate to hang onto power and to stop conservatives taking over the Conservative Party, although I have no doubt she was out of the loop on the kidnap decision.

The attacks on Syria were the usual pinprick affair. As with those following the last false flag incident, at Khan Shaykhun, in April 2017, they have done little damage. There has long been a standing joke at the Bar about the bench of lay magistrates which fined a thief. The chairman of the Bench told him that he was lucky – if they’d really thought he was guilty they would have jailed him!

The Pentagon obviously had their doubts, so they’ve gone along with limited strikes, provided they could tell the Russians first! If they’d really thought Assad had done it they might have whacked his palace. The reality is that the air strikes were ordered for political, not operational reasons. It can hardly be a coincidence that inspectors from the OPCW were due to arrive in Douma today.

What happened at Douma?

There were two reported chemical weapons attacks on Douma, effectively a suburb of Damascus, on 7th April, at 1300 and 1630 Zulu (GMT). According to the Administration “witnesses” reported helicopters overhead at the time of the attacks. Civilians in the Douma area were reported to be suffering symptoms consistent with the use of chlorine gas, a banned chemical weapon first used by our community partner the Hun during World War I.

Military operations to retake Douma from Jaysh al-Islam terrorists had resumed the previous day, after a hiatus for ceasefire negotiations. Douma is one of the few remaining areas of Syria under terrorist control.

There are real problems in attributing blame to the Assad regime. Firstly there is the complete absence of motive. Bashir al-Assad may be a Bad Guy and the last of the Arab fascist dictators, but he’s no fool. Unlike Theresa May, with respect, he’s a rational actor.

The Assad regime are winning the Syrian Civil War, hands down. They know full well that further CW attacks would bring swift retribution. They even get cruise missiles fired at them when Turkey uses CW on their soil, as she did last year at Khan Shaykhun, never mind when they use them themselves!

CW are of limited tactical value at the best of times. Nobody’s ever won a war using them – in practice they are far more trouble than they’re worth. No rational actor in power in Damascus would have used them last Saturday in the manner alleged.

On the other hand Jaysh al-Islam had every motive to kill a few locals, with the support of the White Helmets (who have form for this). It would hold up the Syrian government’s assault on Douma and bring Western retribution down upon them.

There is considerable room for debate about both the number of casualties and the symptoms they suffered. Chlorine is fairly readily available and I have no difficulty with the White Helmets or Jaysh al-Islam using it at Douma. All reporting from the White Helmets has to be viewed with suspicion, but there are other witnesses.

There is no reliable evidence for the use of sarin at all. As at Khan Shaykhun it is noticeable that none of the medical staff or paramedics were wearing Hazmat suits or for that matter taking any precautions for dealing with nerve gases.

Where the ‘it was Assad wot dun it’ narrative really breaks down however is over the delivery system. This is supposed to have been helicopters, but they are not identified and there are no videos of them. There’s lots of footage of the aftermath, so there were plenty of video cameras around, not to mention cell-phones with cameras. How is it that nobody thought to video a fairly dramatic incident like an air raid involving helos dropping barrels containing chemical weapons?

The White House has not identified the witnesses. No doubt the White Helmets and others are claiming to have seen these mystery helicopters, but where is the radar or satellite imagery? There seems to have been at least one Arleigh Burke class DDG within radar range of Damascus at the material time. You will not be surprised to learn that since the outbreak of the civil war Syria has come in for a fair amount of attention from satellites. There must be more NRO birds over Damascus than pigeons.

I think the Russian Ministry of Defence are right, with respect: they were no helos, or aircraft for that matter, overhead the target areas at the times of the alleged attacks. The Pentagon seem to be on the same wavelength.

This was a false-flag attack, period.

Major-General Konashenkov’s Statement

In a surprise development, Russian Defence Ministry spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov blamed Britain. This has led to him being dubbed a conspiracy theorist by the British media, which is unfair for several reasons. Firstly, General Konashenkov is a serious, decorated military figure with a solid background in engineering. He knows far about the subject that any British journalist.

Secondly, the White Helmets, who really ought to be called the ‘Black Helmets’ (it all gets very confusing when black hats go around wearing white hats), are partly bankrolled by Britain’s notorious Department for International Development (DFID), currently mired in a pedophile and sex for aid scandal. Since the White Helmets are in this fraud up to their necks, blaming London is not so wide of the mark.

Thirdly, the Russians appear to have monitored communications from London to the White Helmets, pressing for the attack. Given the collapse of the bad faith allegation against Russia over the Skripals and GO2’s desperate need to prevent a Tory leadership battle the urgency in London is not to be wondered at. Gassing a few Syrians and blaming Assad and President Putin was an obvious way for GO2 to lift the pressure on Theresa May.

General Konashenkov is not an intelligence officer, however. Where I part company from him, respectfully, is over blaming Britain. The pressure was almost certainly coming from Germany’s GO2, which carried out the attack on the poor Skripals. There is no way that Theresa May was in the loop on the decision to mount a CW attack in Douma. This was intelligence work and with every respect she just isn’t smart enough for it. If she worked in an intel agency she’d be doing the photocopying and that’s about it, no offense intended.

Gassing women and kiddies is also not terribly British. We’re no keener on using poison gas than the Russians. The problem is that no-one in London will go public on GO2. London therefore can’t be heard to complain too loudly if it gets the blame for GO2’s shenanigans.

On this particular occasion the British government is going to look very silly indeed. It turns out that the very crime it accused the Syrian government of committing was planned in London, partly in order to lift the pressure off Theresa May, even if she didn’t know about it. Boomps-a-daisy.

Theresa May’s position

As with the fake allegation against Russia over Salisbury it really doesn’t matter what Theresa May knew or what she didn’t. I repeat that I really don’t think she would sanction a murderous attack using banned chemical weapons on innocent women and children. She may be a Remainer, but she’s not a war criminal, at least she wasn’t till this morning.

Sanctioning a bombing raid on a sovereign country with whom we are not at war, based on a false premise, won’t do her any favors if the matter comes before the International Criminal Court, however. Her defense team could fairly point out that she only committed the actus reus of a war crime last night and that there was no mens rea. I’m sure that’s right, but if you’re a Prime Minister you really don’t want to be committing the actus reus of a war crime. You ought to be getting it right, frankly.

If they wanted to whack the guilty party the RAF really should have been bombing Vauxhall Cross (strictly speaking I think the boys used Brimstone 2 stand-off missiles, a poor man’s version of the Tomohawk, costing no more than £175,000 apiece, rather than bombs). The trouble is that MI6, who are white hats, share the building with GO2, who are black hats, and would probably send a memo to MOD Main Building if a few Brimstones came through the windows.

Theresa May has to go, and the sooner the better. Rational voices like those of Major-General Jonathan Shaw, whose interview with Sky News about Douma was rudely interrupted when he suddenly started talking sense, cannot be silenced forever.

The new government has to shut down GO2. If anyone in the Tory Party doubts the wisdom of that, they should have another look at the distressing videos of poor little gassed kiddies in Douma. Their gassing was ordered from a building on the south bank of the Thames, and I don’t mean the Royal Festival Hall.

Yulia Skripal

I suggested last week that GO2 might need to kidnap Yulia Skripal. Now they’ve gone ahead and done it. You can forget the statement from the Met. They would have been told to trot out that nonsense by the Cabinet Office, to whom they report.

There’s no video, no recording, nothing signed by Yulia Skripal and no statement from solicitors instructed by her. Why do signed statements and recordings matter? Because experts can identify signs of stress, that’s why.

Here again we are buying ourselves a whole bunch of trouble by not outing GO2. We have German agents running around Britain kidnapping Russian nationals in order to cover up an apparent assassination attempt against a Russian intelligence officer working for MI6 and in the process drive a wedge between Britain and Russia. Having the West go to war with Russia, or vice versa, has been a German geopolitical aim since they came up with the plan for the Crimean War, which was a very silly war indeed. (At least the Charge of the Light Brigade only involved tactical, not strategic, stupidity!)

I’m not sure if anyone in the government has yet worked out the consequences of GO2 bumping off poor Yulia Skripal, who is a complete innocent in this affair, having committed no crime in either Russia or the UK. President Putin is unhappy enough with London as it is, and understandably so, having been accused of a crime he didn’t commit (been there, done that!).

How’s the poor man going to feel if a couple of goons working for Germany murder Yulia on British soil, in Britain’s name? How is the UK going to be judged in the court of international opinion if Russia demands Yulia’s production and we can’t produce her? (You can forget your Witness Protection Program – I understand that the US Marshals Service draws the line at kidnap.) I fear this crisis is going to get worse before it gets better.

As I keep repeating, intelligence analysis is an ongoing business. It’s not like Toys’R’Us.

As my distinguished VT colleague Ian Greenhalgh has commented elsewhere on this site today (no wonder Facebook have banned us!), it turns out that the agent used at Salisbury wasn’t Novichok at all, but BZ (3-Quinuclidinyl Benzilate). I had thought that the fact that the Skripals survived was down to incorrect mixing of the precursors. BZ, as Ian explains, is an incapacitating agent, rather than a fatal nerve agent.

BZ would not only explain the Skripals’ survival, but also their reported symptoms. Assuming that the Spiez Laboratory in the Swiss Federation have got it right (and they usually do) then GO2’s intent all along may have been to kidnap the Skripals and quietly murder them in one of their safe houses. That would embarrass the British government even more.

I am inclined to agree with Ian and Spiez – it wasn’t Novichok after all. There’s no point anyone commenting that Ian and I have had our differences. He’s not as big a fan of President Trump as I am, for example. If I find myself in agreement with Ian or any of my other valued colleagues here at VT I will say so, and give them full credit. Intelligence analysis is about getting it right, not about personalities.

It would seem that Porton Down and Boris Johnson have got even more explaining to do. Jeremy Corbyn’s going to love reading Ian’s column! (And he is going to read it, because I’m sending him a copy.)

Scooter Libby

Well done the Pres! I and others have been urging him since the election to pardon Scooter Libby, whose conduct I defended in Spyhunter, and he’s gone and done it! Scooter and I have never met, although we have mutual friends, but I’ve been on his side since he was first accused. His attorney may recall getting a call from me, warning him that Valerie Plame’s identity was not protected under the IIPA. She was just an analyst at Langley at the material time.

Justice needed a good smack over the Libby case and they’ve just had it. The next question is, should the prosecutors be prosecuted for misleading the court and getting an innocent man thrown into jail? With every respect, I can see the argument.

That’s for the future. It is wonderful to see an innocent man’s name being cleared. I hope that Scooter throws a good party this weekend, and doesn’t drive himself home afterwards.

Vice-Admiral D.B.H. Wildish CB (1914 – 2017)

We never met, sadly, although we were both members of MCC and enjoyed our cricket, but I would like to mark the sad passing of this very distinguished naval officer. ‘Dick’ Wildish had a stellar naval career, which started as long ago as the 1920s. He eventually became Deputy Second Sea Lord.

He was also a fine fast bowler, who opened the bowling for the Royal Navy against the RAF at Lord’s in the inter-Service match in 1937. He also got one or two deliveries past our community partners the Kriegsmarine in World War II.

He reached his century in 2014 and I think that I am right in saying that he was the oldest former Flag Officer in the Royal Navy when he died. He was also, surely, one of the last survivors of the battleship HMS Prince of Wales, betrayed by the Cabinet Secretary Sir Edward Bridges and the German agent Rear-Admiral Palliser in 1941.

PoW wasn’t just betrayed by Bridges and Palliser, but by the Treasury, who refused to pay for armoring her outer prop shafts. Unarmored shafts were the Achilles Heel of the mighty King George V class battlewagons – once her port outer prop shaft was hit by a Jap torpedo the poor old Prince of Wales was done for.

Admiral Wildish was also on board Prince of Wales when in company with the battlecruiser HMS Hood she engaged the German battleship KMS Bismarck and the heavy cruiser KMS Prinz Eugen in the Battle of the Denmark Strait on May 24th 1941. I am greatly indebted to the Editor of MCC’s Annual Report for 2018, which dropped on my doormat yesterday, for his splendid obituary of Dick Wildish, which I have used as one of my sources.

Vice-Admiral Wildish was a fine naval officer, a gentleman of the old school and a man I wish I had known. We honor his generation by fighting for the things they fought for and doing our best to maintain the standards they set.

The Skripal-Douma operation needs to blow up in their faces

Watch False Flag Weekly News above. Click HERE for links to the stories, and HERE to support our work.

On September 11, 2001, the only people who knew what false flag meant were the professional strategists who teach the tactic in military academies. Today, almost everyone has at least heard of the concept.

Unfortunately, the world needs far more false flag education than it’s getting. Exhibit A: Trump’s recent bombing of Syria. That war crime (like so many war crimes) was triggered by  false flags: the “Skripal poisoning” and the “Douma poison gas attack.” Both of these stories were obvious hoaxes. No sane, educated adult could possibly believe that Putin would poison a swapped spy with an exotic nerve agent and hand NATO hawks a PR bonanza. Nor could any serious person accept the absurd story of Assad pointlessly dropping chemicals on children at the exact moment of his hard-earned victory.

Somehow, though, the fake news mainstream media has gotten away with peddling those ludicrous lies, and many more. Throngs with torches and pitchforks have not yet burned their studios to the ground. Obviously those of us in the false flag education business need to work harder.

So that is exactly what we are going to do here at False Flag Weekly News. Please help us by contributing and spreading the word.

71 Out of 103 Destroyed: Here’s How Syria’s Air Defense Repelled West’s Missiles

Perhaps the most surprising news surrounding the US, British and French strike on Syria Saturday morning was the report that the country’s Air Defense Force managed to shoot down just shy of 70% of the Western cruise missiles launched. Sputnik looks at how the Syrians managed to do it.

The Damascus sky lights up missile fire as the U.S. launches an attack on Syria targeting different parts of the capital early Saturday, April 14, 2018

The Western attack, executed this morning at 4:00 am Syrian time on April 14, saw US Navy warships in the Red Sea and Air Force B-1B bombers and F-15 and F-16 aircraft rain dozens of ship and air-launched cruise missiles down on the Syrian capital of Damascus, an airbase outside the city, a so-called chemical weapons storage facility near Homs, and an equipment storage facility and command post, also near Homs.

B1-Bs are typically armed with JASSM cruise missiles, which have a 450 kg warhead and a range of 370 km. US Navy warships launched Tomahawks, which have 450 kg warheads and an operational range of between 1,300 and 2,500 km.

The British Royal Air Force’s contribution for the assault consisted of four Tornado GR4 ground attack aircraft armed with the Storm Shadow long-range air-to-surface missile, which the UK’s Defense Ministry said targeted ‘chemical weapons sites’ in Homs. These weapons have a range of 400 km.

Finally, France sent its Aquitaine frigate, armed with SCALP naval land attack cruise missiles (SCALP the French military’s name for the Storm Shadow), as well as several Dassault Rafale fighters, also typically armed with SCALP or Apache cruise missiles.

According to the Russian defense ministry, the B-1Bs also fired GBU-38 guided air bombs.

Undoubtedly weary of the prospect of having their aircraft shot down after Israel lost one of its F-16s over Syria in February, the Western powers presumably launched their weapons from well outside the range of Syrian air defenses, with all the targets located just 70-90 km of the Mediterranean Sea, and having to fly through Lebanon first.

Attack Blunted

However, notwithstanding the powerful collection of weaponry arrayed against them, the Syrian Army seems to have managed, for the most part, to blunt the attack.

Several hours after the strikes, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the majority of the missiles launched were intercepted by Syria’s Air Defense Force, who shot downsome 71 of the 103 cruise missiles detected. This included the interception of all 12 missiles launched at the Al-Dumyar airbase northeast of Damascus. Syrian media, for its part, reported that the military had destroyed 20 missiles over Damascus alone.

Furthermore, although the Syrian military does have some modern air defenses, including the Pantsir-S1 combined short-to-medium range surface to air missile (SAM) and anti-aircraft artillery system, the cruise missile attack was repelled mostly by upgrades of 30+ year old equipment, including variants of the Buk self-propelled missile system, the S-125 air defense system, and the S-200, an aging but tried and tested SAM introduced into the Soviet military in the late 1960s.

Balance of Forces

In late 2016, Russian defense analysts created a detailed outline of the state of Syria’s military. Their research concluded that Syria’s air defenses remained formidable, even following half a decade of war against terrorism.

According to the estimates, the Air Defense Force’s inventory includes 36 Pantsir-S1s, delivered by Russia between 2008 and 2013, 3-6 battalions of Buk-M1 and Buk-M2 medium-range SAM systems (Moscow delivered eight Buk-M2s between 2010 and 2013), five regiments (i.e. 25 batteries) of Kvadrat tracked medium-range surface-to-air missile systems (Kvadrat being the export version of the Kub air defense system), and 8 regiments of the S-200VE long-range missile system.

Syria has up to 53 regiments of the Dvina and Volga variant of the S-75, the ancient Soviet high-altitude air defense system used to shoot down US U-2s over the USSR and Cuba in the early 1960s. The country also has some 4,000 anti-aircraft guns of various calibers, although these are slowly being retired.

The Ground forces are also equipped with the OSA, Strela-1, and Strela-10 mobile, low-altitude short-range SAM systems (the Syrians have 61, 100 and 60 of each, respectively).

Syria’s radar network consists of P-40 3-D UHF early warning/target acquisition radar, P-12 3D VHF early warning ground control radar, P-15 2D UHF surveillance/target acquisition radar, P-30, P-35 an P-80 2D E band/F band early warning ground control radar, and PRV-13 and PRV-16 altimeter radar.

With the exception of the PRV-16 and the P-80, which were introduced into the Soviet military in the early 1970s, the rest of these systems were fielded starting in the late 1950s and mid-1960s, and have mostly been retired in Russia. Russia and Belarus have provided Syria with parts and technical support for these systems.

[Unconfirmed map of Syrian air defense coverage area. The greatest density is southwest of Damascus, where over 35 systems are said to be in operation.]

Stronger Than Expected

The formation of Syria’s more or less modern air defenses has its roots the early 1980s, and stems from the Air Defense Force’s humiliating defeat at the hands of Israeli air power during the 1982 Lebanon War at Bekka Valley.

A year later, in 1983, the Soviet Union transferred its S-200VE long-range air defense system, along with the technical personnel to man them and train their Syrian counterparts. The S-200’s deployment was unusual, with Syria getting the systems before even the USSR’s Warsaw Pact allies did.

Since that time, thanks in part to having to contend with the technologically superior Israeli Air Defense Force on its border, Syria has continued to upgrade its air defense network.

In fact, despite its age compared to Western powers, or say Russia, the country’s air defenses are considerably more modern than those of Yugoslavia, Iraq and Libya before those countries were subjected to US and NATO bombings in 1999, 2003 and 2011.

The Air Defense Force is estimated to have between 20,000 and 36,000 personnel. Syria’s terrain, including numerous mountain ranges, which complicate attackers’ options, has resulted in an operational doctrine aimed at preserving air defense capabilities even in the event of massed enemy strikes, similarly to the Yugoslav Air Defense Force’s strategy during the war against NATO.

According to Russian military observers, Syria’s most formidable air defense systems are its Pantsirs and BuK-M1-2 and Buk M-2Es, which can shoot down F-15s from 45 km away and simultaneously track and destroy up to two dozen enemy targets. Furthermore, the S-125 Pechora remains a problem for NATO, despite its age. In March 2015, Syria shot down a US Predator drone in Latakia using the system. Finally, of course, there are those S-200s, which have an operational range of 300 km. It was one of these that shot down the intruder Israeli F-16 in February 2018.

Future Proofing

It’s unclear at this point whether the US and its allies will limit their strikes to Saturday’s attack, or launch further attacks in the future. In any case, the attack has already prompted Moscow into considering providing Damascus with its S-300 long-range SAM system. “Taking into account what happened, we consider it possible to return to this issue,” the Russian General Staff said in a statement.

In any case, Russia has already provided Syria with substantial assistance in restoring its air defense capabilities, particularly over the past year and a half. The end result of this assistance was seen shortly after 4 am on Saturday morning.

Assad to Russian MPs: Syrians ‘No Longer Afraid of NATO’ After Missile Attack

According to Russian lawmakers, the Syrian president has praised Soviet air defense systems, which helped Damascus repel 71 Western missiles.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad (C) new Defence Minister Hassan Turkmani (L) and former Defence Minister Mustafa Tlass attend a ceremony at the unknown soldier monument in Damascus, Syria October 6, 2003.

Russian members of the parliament and other officials have shed light on the meeting with President Bashar Assad, which came in the wake of the joint US-UK-French missile strike on Syria.

According to governor Komarov, during a meeting with Russian lawmakers, Assad slammed the Western strike on Syria as “aggression.”

As the Russian State Duma lawmaker Sergei Zheleznyak stated, Damascus has praised Soviet arms made in the 1970s, which were used to repel the missile attack, carried out by the US and its allies.

“According to the president’s [Assad’s] point of view, this [the attack] was aggression and we share this position. He has highly appreciated Russian weapons, which showed supremacy over the arms of the aggressors,” Zheleznyak said.

“Since 1990s we have seen in American movies that the Russian weaponry is “backward.” And now we see, whose’s really backward,” Assad was quoted as saying by a Russian MP.

Another MP, Sablin, said, citing Assad, that as Syrian air defenses had demonstrated their efficiency, the Arab Republic’s citizens were “no longer afraid of NATO.”

Assad stated that Syria would continue its independent development “despite the agenda, imposed by the West,” Sablin said.

During the meeting, the issue of possible Russia’s anti-missile systems’ deliveries to Syria wasn’t discussed.

Assad also stated that the US-UK-French attack has not only “consolidated the peoples of Russia and Syria, but all the nations, which are guided by the norms of international law,” Sablin said.He said during a meeting with Russian lawmakers that the cooperation between Russia and Syria should resist the “aggressive policy of the West.”

Following an overnight April 14 massive missile attack, launched by the US alongside France and the UK, the Syrian president said that the strikes came as the West realized that it had lost control of the situation in the Arab Republic. At the same time, the Syrian Foreign Ministry called the attack “brutal aggression.”

While Assad was seen arriving at work on the morning after the attack, the Syrians have taken to the streets in Damascus and Aleppo in order to support the government and denounce the West’s move.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, a total of 71 missiles out of 103 launched by the Western states were repelled by Syrian air defenses. The Pentagon has denied the information, saying that every missile had hit its target.

Skripals Poisoning and Syria Strikes

NOVANEWS

Trump, outside the law, man, God, the real animal

By Nauman Sadiq for Veterans Today

On April 11, one of the “smartest” US presidents ever tweeted: “Russia vows to shoot down any and all missiles fired at Syria. Get ready Russia, because they will be coming, nice and new and ‘smart!’ You shouldn’t be partners with a Gas Killing Animal who kills his people and enjoys it!”

When Donald Trump’s advisers drew his attention to the fact that he might have telegraphed his intentions of bombing Syria to Moscow, the imbecile came up with an even more childish tweet the next day, saying: “Never said when an attack on Syria would take place. Could be very soon or not so soon at all! In any event, the United States, under my Administration, has done a great job of ridding the region of ISIS. Where is our Thank you America?”

Fact of the matter is that during the last week, Donald Trump has been so distracted by the FBI’s raid on the office of his attorney Michael Cohen and the release of former FBI director James Comey’s new, tell-all book that he has paid scant attention to what has happened in Syria. He kept fulminating about these two issues throughout the last week on his Twitter timeline and mentioned the alleged Douma chemical attack in Syria on April 7 only in the passing.

Trump Mattis

Even though Trump’s babysitter Defense Secretary James Mattis admitted on the record that though he was sure chlorine was used in the attack in Douma, Syria, he was not sure who carried out the attack and whether any other toxic chemical agent, particularly sarin, was used in the attack. If chlorine can be classified as a chemical weapon, then how is one supposed to categorize white phosphorous which was used by the US military in large quantities in its battle against the Islamic State in Raqqa?

Despite scant evidence as to the use of chemical weapons or the party responsible for it, Donald Trump ordered another cruise missiles strike in Syria on Saturday in collaboration with Theresa May’s government in the UK and Emmanuel Macron’s administration in France. The strike took place a little over a year after a similar cruise missiles strikes on al-Shayrat airfield on April 6 last year, after an alleged chemical weapons attack in Khan Sheikhoun, that accomplished nothing.

Both these strikes in Syria were not only illegal under international law but also under American laws. While striking the Islamic State targets in Iraq and Syria, Washington availed itself of the war on terror provisions in the US laws, known as the Authorization for the Use of Military Force (AUMF), but those laws do not give the president the power to order strikes against the Syrian government targets without the approval of the US Congress which has the sole authority to declare war.

The Intercept has recently reported [1] that the Trump administration has derived the authority to strike the Syrian government targets based on a “Top Secret” memorandum of the Office of Legal Counsel that even the US Congress can’t see. Complying with the norms of transparency and rule of law have never been the strong points of American democracy, but the new US administration has done away with even the pretense of accountability and checks and balances.

What further defies explanation for the Saturday’s strikes against a scientific research facility in the Barzeh district of Damascus and two alleged chemical weapons storage facilities in Homs is the fact that Donald Trump has already announced [2] that the process of withdrawal of US troops from Syria must begin before the midterm US elections slated for November. If the Trump administration is to retain the Republican majority in the Congress, it will have to show something tangible to its voters, particularly in Syria.

Thus, it appears that the “one-off strike in Syria,” as articulated by James Mattis, was nothing more than a diversionary tactic to distract attention from Trump’s domestic troubles. Rather than deterring the Syrian government from its alleged use of chemical weapons, the Saturday’s cruise missiles strikes were meant as a show of force against Moscow.

On March 4, Sergei Skripal, a Russian double agent working for the British foreign intelligence service, and his daughter Yulia were found unconscious on a public bench outside a shopping center in Salisbury. A week later, another Russian exile Nikolai Glushkov was found dead in his London home and police has launched a murder investigation into his death.

Skripal was recruited by the British MI6 in 1995, and before his arrest in Russia in December 2004, he was alleged to have blown the cover of scores of Russian secret agents. He was released in a spy swap deal in 2010 and was allowed to settle in Salisbury. Theresa May’s government has concluded that Skripal and his daughter were poisoned with a Moscow-made, military-grade nerve agent, Novichok.

On April 9, Yulia Skripal was discharged from hospital and reportedly the condition of Sergei Skripal is also improving rapidly, which means they might not have been poisoned by Novichok. In fact, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov shared the results [3] of a Swiss laboratory on Saturday that “BZ toxin” was used in the Salisbury poisoning which was never produced in Russia, but was in service in the US, UK and other NATO states.

Nevertheless, the US, UK and European nations expelled scores of Russian diplomats and the Trump administration ordered the closure of Russian consulate in Seattle. In a retaliatory move, Kremlin also expelled a similar number of American, British and European diplomats, and ordered the closure of American consulate in Saint Petersburg. The relations between Moscow and Western powers have reached their lowest ebb since the break-up of Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War in December 1991.

The fact that out of 105 total cruise missiles deployed in the Saturday’s strikes in Syria, 85 were launched by the US, 12 by France and 8 by the UK aircraft shows that the strikes were nothing more than a show of force by a “powerful and assertive” US president who regards the interests of his European allies as his own, particularly when he has given a May 12 deadline to his European allies to “improve and strengthen” the Iran nuclear deal, otherwise he has threatened to walk out of the pact in order to please Israel’s lobby in Washington.

Censored Deep State Analysis: Syrian Crisis Deepens, Who Wants Nuclear War or World War III?

NOVANEWS

America, Britain and France controlled, the world press silenced, by “guess who?” That’s right, the “usual suspects.”

… by Sajjad Shaukat for Veteran Today

More than 100 missile strikes have been launched against Syria by the US, UK and France on Saturday (April 14, 2018) in response to the alleged chemical weapons attack which killed at least 50 people in Syria’s rebel-held town of Eastern Douma on April 7, this year.

According to the allies, “The strikes destroyed important infrastructure at three sites connected to the Syrian regime’s chemical weapons programme.”

Addressing the nation in a televised statement, the US President Trump said it was a response to the “evil and despicable” chemical attack by the Syrian regime last Saturday.

French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian stated that the mission’s goal “was attained,” but warned that there could be another attack if France’s “red line is crossed again.”

The Russian military said that Syria shot down 71 out of 103 cruise missiles launched, and that the targeted facilities only suffered minor damage, while no Russian soldier was injured.

In a statement issued by the Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin said: “The strike had a destructive influence on the entire system of international relations…An act of aggression against a sovereign state…without a mandate from the UN Security Council and in violation of the UN Charter and international law.”

He reaffirmed Russia’s view that the purported chemical attack in the Syrian town of Douma that prompted the strike was a fake and added: “Just as one year ago, when the Shayrat Airbase in Syria came under attack, the US used as a pretext…a staged chemical attack against civilians, this time in Douma…Russian military experts, having visited the place of the alleged incident, did not find any traces of the use of chlorine or other poisonous substances. No local resident confirmed the chemical attack.”

China and Iran also condemned the attack. Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei called the US-led attack a “crime”.

British Prime Minister Theresa May said that she had authorised British forces to join the US and France in order to conduct precision strikes against Syria to help degrade its chemical weapons capability.

Jeremy Corbyn, the Labour leader, called the strikes “legally questionable” and said Mrs May should have sought Parliamentary approval for the attack “not trailed after Donald Trump”.

During the emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council, called by Moscow, Nikki Haley, the US ambassador to the United Nations vowed that the United States was ready to launch another strike, if the Syrian government ever uses chemical weapons again, while, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg also expressed his support to the strike.

All these statements of the US-led allies show that they can again conduct strike on Syria in the pretext of chemical weapons attack.

On the other side, Anatoly Antonov, Russia’s ambassador to the US, condemned the attack on Syria and said: “The worst apprehensions have come true. Our warnings have been left unheard. A pre-designed scenario is being implemented. Again, we are being threatened. We warned that such actions will not be left without consequences. All responsibility for them rests with Washington, London and Paris.”

In this regard, the Russian ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Zasypkin had waned on April 10, 2018 that Moscow would shoot down any US missiles fired at Syria and retaliate against launch sites. So, Moscow can take action against the US-led allies on some other way. As the strike did not result into Russian casualties and Assad regime remains intact, hence, President Putin can continue strategic endurance, acting upon the policy of wait and see in case of Syria.

Meanwhile, Moscow indicated that it would consider supplying S-300 missile systems to Syria following the strikes.”

It is notable that in response to the false allegations of America, UK and Britain who had claimed that they had proof regarding the use of chemical weapons attack in Douma, the Russian Defense Ministry presented evidence on April 13, 2018, which showed that Britain had staged the chemical attack in Douma—a group of people, some with video cameras, had run into a hospital in the area and doused patients with water while shouting that there had been a chemical attack. Footage of the ensuing panic formed the evidence of the attack.

Depending upon fabricated proof, Washington, London and Paris had failed in providing any evidence to media or public. Even, prior to any inquiry and before the visit of a team from the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) to start its investigation about the use of chemical weapons in Douma, the rulers of America, Britain and France, some Western leaders, including their media had started a disinformation-campaign against Russia and Syrian President Assad in relation to the chemical weapons attack.

In this context, while echoing Hobbes and Machiavelli Hans J. Morgenthau opines, “The true nature of the policy is concealed by ideological justifications and rationalization. Therefore, the ideology provides a mask behind which the ulterior motives are concealed…there is a close relationship between interest and ideology…the annexation of the backward states by Great Britain and France as their colonies was described as educating, civilizing and humanitarian mission, a sort of white man’s burden, while the real objective was economic exploitation of the former. Annexation was an act of imperialism. But to disguise it humanitarian ideology was advanced…one of the significant aspects of ideology is that it can be described as a cloak for real foreign policy objective.”

Palmer and Perkins write, “Just as power became the instrument of ambitious nationalism and state’s leaders, it has now become the tool of ideologies…ideologies, in fact, are futile source of international conflict…they can be used to obscure the real facts of a situation or the real motives of ambitious leaders.”

Karl Mannheim also uses ideology in this sense by saying, “In this form the ideas are more or less conscious disguise of the real nature of a situation.”

Recall that before the invasion of Iraq in 2003, a deliberate disinformation campaign was launched by the CIA and Jewish-controlled media all over the world that Baghdad had Weapons of Mass Destructions (WMDs). In that respect, on the self-fabricated intelligence report and without mandate of the UN Security Council, American-Anglo forces invaded Iraq where no WMDs or chemical weapons were discovered. The covert aim of America and UK was to remove the government of Saddam Hussein as part of the regime-change policy, because he had challenged the dominance of Israel in the region. Same happened with the Libyan President Col. Muammmar Gaddafi who was captured and killed on October 11, 2011. America, UK and France, including other NATO countries which had funded and armed the rebel groups, conducted aerial strikes on Libya.

However, the mainstream media of the world, which is being controlled by the Jews, manipulated the chemical weapons assault of Douma and held Moscow and the Assad regime responsible in this respect. Instead of showing rational and responsible approach, irrational leaders such as Mr. Trump, Mr. Macron and Mrs. May who want to fulfill the Zionist agenda against the Islamic World and Russia were determined to escalate the tension by acting upon war-mongering strategy, without bothering for dire consequences.

British Prime Minister May who had given the go-ahead for Britain to take part in the US-led military action, had stated: “All indications pointed to Syrian government responsibility for the Douma attack…such a shocking and barbaric act” could not go unchallenged.

Jeremy Corbyn had said that the British government was “waiting for instructions” from the US and “UK military intervention in Syria’s appalling multi-sided war risks escalating an already devastating conflict.”

Taking cognizance of the Syrian crisis, the UN Secretary General António Guterres had already pointed out that he feared events could escalate rapidly into a regional and even global conflict, and urged all states “to act responsibly in these dangerous circumstances…the danger was even greater than during the cold war because the safeguards that existed then to manage such a crisis no longer seem to be present.” He added that there was no military solution to the Syrian conflict.

Besides, Germany which also accused the Assad regime for the use of chemical weapons in Douma, had refused to participate in the US-led strike on Syria. Its Foreign Minister Heiko Maas remarked on April 13, this year: “There will be no peace in Syria without a political solution.” Regarding the strike on Syria, he warned of an escalation spiral.

Nevertheless, by ignoring the warnings of many world leaders and analysts, US, UK and France conducted the strike on Syria. Now, Syrian crisis has been deepened and the question arises as to who wants nuclear war or World War III.

It is mentionable that tensions had already accelerated between Russia and the US-led West on March 26, 2018 when showing solidarity with the UK in response to the poisoning of a former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter, Yulia, in Salisbury, southern England, more than 20, non-EU and EU member states, including Germany, France and the US expelled more than 100 Russian diplomats with the allegation of spying in the their countries. The US ordered the expulsion of 60 Russian officials and closure of the Seattle consulate, including 12 diplomats at the Russian mission at the UN.

Speaking in the tone of the US President Donald Trump, the US high officials allegedly said that these measures were in response to “a reckless attempt by the Russian government to murder a British citizen and his daughter with a military-grade nerve agent—the measures were also intended as a response to a steady drumbeat of destabilising and aggressive actions by Moscow against the US and the spies at the UN headquarters.”

Despite the repeated denials of Moscow regarding any role in the attack on Sergei Skripal and his daughter and without the completion of investigation, EU leaders gave their full backing to the British Prime Minister May in a summit in Brussels on March 23, 2018 by adopting a statement, declaring that it was highly likely that Russia was “behind the nerve-agent poisoning of Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia.”

In this connection, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated on March 27, this year: “The United States pressured and blackmailed other countries to expel Russian diplomats.”

China had urged the Western countries to discard “a Cold War mentality.” Her, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying stated: “Relevant countries should “avoid taking any actions that would aggravate the conflict.”

In response to the Western countries which expelled Russian diplomats, Russia ordered the expulsion of diplomats from 23 countries on March 30, 2018. Moscow also gave official notice to 60 US diplomats on March 29, to leave the country by April 5, this year. It also announced the closure of the US consulate in St Petersburg.

Speaking recklessly, British Secretary of State Peter Wilson had allegedly remarked that Russia was responsible based on a positive identification of the chemical agents-a history that links Novichok to Russia.

Earlier, without sharing any information with Moscow and provision of any evidence regarding the Skripal’s case, British Prime Minister May announced the expulsion of 23 Russian diplomats, accusing them as undeclared intelligence officers, and imposed sanctions on Moscow. In response, Russia also expelled 23 diplomats of the Great Britain.

As regards the hastily-made decisions of the UK, The Guardian wrote on March 17, 2018: “The Russians may be the prime suspects for the attack on Sergei Skripal and his daughter…but where is the hard evidence? In February 2017, North Korean dissident Kim Jong-nam was killed by a nerve agent at Kuala Lumpur airport. The poison used was VX, which was developed in the UK during the 1950s. Does this mean that Kim Jong-nam was killed by British agents? That would be nonsense…We need our political leaders to take considered decisions based on facts rather than conjecture and political opportunism…Jeremy Corbyn has come under fire for suggesting that attributing the Skripal attack to Russia requires a careful study of the evidence prior to reaching a definitive conclusion that the attack was state-sponsored…Corbyn’s comments invite the question “Could anyone else have done this”?…There are few things as dangerous as a weak person trying to appear strong. Corbyn is right to be sceptical of May. If she sees this as her Falklands moment–the chance to turn round her deep unpopularity and domestic failures–she could lead us into an abyss. This is a time for cool heads, not knee-jerk reaction and bluster.”

In fact, fake information was supplied by the MI6 and the British government to the House of Commons, the EU, NATO, the UNO and the public as part of the anti-Russian strategy of the US-Israeli led West. While, Zionist-Jewish led mainstream media of Europe and America left no stone unturned in maligning and blaming Moscow for the Segei Skripal incident.

Blindly following the anti-Russia and anti-Muslim strategy of the Israeli-led America, in their irrational approach, the Western allies of the US, especially Europe set aside American President Donald Trump’s policies and moves such as trade wars to impose a 25 percent tariff on all steel imports and a 10 percent tariff on all aluminum imports into the USA, and differences over WTO, including other trade issues and tough laws for the immigrants. In their self-created Russian phobia, they also ignored Trump’s political follies and contradictory strategy against Russia and China. They also neglected anti-Muslim rhetoric of Trump and his announcement of last year to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and his plan to move the United States Embassy from Tel Aviv to the fiercely contested Holy City of Jerusalem, including Trump’s opposition of the Iranian nuclear deal which was concluded after long negotiations of the major powers of Europe. In showing so-called solidarity with the UK, EU also ignored the complicated Brexit talks with London.

Segei Skripal episode was also manipulated by the Great Britain and the Western leaders to harm the vote bank of President Putin. When, he was reelected as the President of the Russian Federation, it created further political jealousy among the major European countries.

As a matter of fact, the New Cold War accelerated between Russia and the US-led West, when in September 2015, Russian-led coalition of Iran, Iraq, the Syrian army-the National Defense Forces (NDF) and Lebanon-based Hezbollah started breaking the backbone of the ISIS (Also known as Daesh and ISIL) terrorists, Al-Qaeda’s Al-Nusra Front and the rebels in Syria and Iraq. Russian-led alliance thwarted the attempts of the US-led some Western countries who wanted to oust Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s government as part of the regime-change policy of the Tel Aviv-led Washington to obtain the aims of a greater Israel. Besides exposing the double game of the US-led West, Russian-led forces had also exposed the smuggling of oil by the European companies from the ISIS-controlled areas, while European government took no action against those companies.

It is noteworthy that frustrated by the successful war-tactics of Moscow under the leadership of President Putin, Israeli intelligence agency Mossad which was already having clandestine contact with the ISIS directed this outfit to plan the November 13 (2015) terror attacks in Paris in connivance with the French home-grown militants. Similarly, when Russian-led forces began retaking many cities from the control of these insurgents, on the other side, agents of Mossad who were in collaboration with the CIA sympathizers and the ISIL militants arranged various sorts of terror assaults in Europe and the US.

Through all these false flag terror attacks which occurred since 2015, the US and Israel wanted to obtain their covert aims against Russia and the Muslims. Mossad had also provided the US President Donald Trump with an opportunity to manipulate various terror assaults of Europe and America to win the US presidential election and to reunite America and Europe, as a rift was created between America and its Western allies, especially Europe on a number of issues, including NATO. And, President Trump had left no stone unturned in implementing anti-Muslim policies, while speaking openly against the Muslims and Syrian immigrants. Trump had started exaggerating the so-called threat of Islamophobia, while, some incidents were not linked to ISIS, but were the result of self-radicalization of the individuals.

When trade war initiated between America and Europe, as part of the double game, Mossad again used ISIS in conducting three terror assaults in France on March 23, 2018, which killed four individuals, including Lt. Col. Arnaud Betrame who died in a hospital.

A continued wave of package-explosion in the US is also part of the same scheme, as Mossad and some CIA operatives who were behind terror attacks in America are arranging these assaults.

It is worth-mentioning that in the recent past, on the pushing of America, a UN report allegedly said that Assad government carried out unlawful chemical weapon attacks in the rebel-held eastern Ghouta.

The Syrian government had denied using chemical weapons, saying it surrendered its stockpiles after signing the global ban in 2013. In fact, ISIS and the insurgents groups who were committing war crimes, including deadly attacks on the civilians in Syria and were using them as human shield, used these banned weapons.

Last year, tensions had increased between Moscow and Washington with the order of the American President Donald Trump, when on April 7, 2017, using the pretext of chemical weapons attacks and blaming the Assad regime in that regard, the US warships fired 60 cruise missiles at the Shayrat Airfield controlled by the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s forces. This was supposedly in response to the deadly chemical weapons attack which killed at least 100 people and injured 400 individuals on April 4, 2017 in Khan Sheikhoun town, located in Syria’s northwestern province of Idlib, controlled by a rebel alliance which also included a former Al-Qaeda affiliate.

Such an action had put both the nuclear powers US and Russia into a risky stand-off.

Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem had categorically dismissed any accusations that the Syrian Army deployed and used chemical weapons in Idlib. He elaborated, “An impartial investigation into the Khan Sheikhoun incident should be conducted on the ground and be controlled by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons…We are against a remote investigation that would be conducted by collecting information, provided by the so-called white helmets who have discredited themselves by producing staged videos for achieving political goals.”

Russian diplomat stressed, “We are also against using reports by the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights to make any accusations.”

Both Russia and Syria had condemned aerial strikes in Syria as violation of the international law and the UN charter.

Russia’s defense ministry had clarified by saying: “Syrian airstrike hit a chemical stockpile controlled by the armed opposition…Syrian jets are conducting legitimate strikes, while the US strikes are illegitimate. The Kremlin pointed out in a statement on April 7, 2017 that “Syrian government doesn’t have any chemical weapons stored”—the “campaign” was revenge for military gains by the Assad regime and aimed to “justify hostile resolutions it expects to be adopted at the Brussels conference.”

Notably, America and its allies such as UK, Germany and France who were determined to oust President Assad appreciated the US missile strikes. Some Muslim countries who support the CIA-Mossad rebels groups and ISIS terrorists also welcomed the missiles attack. Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Syrian rebel groups and ISIL outfit also appreciated Trump for aerial attack.

While, Russian-led forces which re-occupied various regions in Syria and Iraq, had also recovered huge quantity of weapons and explosives, including chemical weapons from the areas which were in occupation of the rebels and ISIL.

Likewise, in 2013, there was danger of nuclear war between America and Russia when the then US Secretary of State John Kerry accused Syrian President Assad of using chemical weapons in relation to the Syrian civil war. In order to protect the interests of Tel Aviv, in the pretext, America was determined to attack Syria. But, Russian President Putin warned Western powers against any airstrike. For face-saving, John Kerry withdrew from American stand, as he could not prove it.

Here, contradictions of the President Trump need attention. President Barack Obama had drawn a famous “red line” in Syria in 2012, warning Assad against the alleged use of chemical weapons. Trump was not among those criticizing Obama at the time. Instead, he warned Obama not to take military action, even when chemical weapons had been used.

Similarly, when President Obama hosted the fourth Nuclear Security Summit in Washington on March 31, 2016 to check the spread of nuclear weapons, showing concerns about the ambitions of terrorist groups such as ISIL in acquiring a nuclear weapon or radioactive material, Donald Trump had taken a different stand in his interview with the CNN by stating, “More nuclear weapons could make the world safer…US can no longer afford to bankroll the defense of its allies in Europe, Asia and the Middle East…Japan, South Korea and Saudi Arabia may need arsenals to confront threats in their region on their own.”

As regards India, with the acceleration of the Kashmiri intifada, Indian security forces have used chemical weapons against the Kashmiri civilians in the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK), in July, last year.

On July 6, 2017, Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakariya called for an international probe into reports that India used chemical munitions in held Kashmir against civilians. He explained, “We call upon the international community, particularly, relevant international organisations to initiate investigations into reports about Indian forces in the Indian Occupied Kashmir, using ammunition containing chemical agents and precursors to kill Kashmiri youth and destroy Kashmiris’ properties…use of chemicals constitute a serious violation of international norms and India’s international obligations under Chemical Weapons Convention.”

Besides, Indian nuclear weapons and their related-material are unprotected, as various cases of smuggling and theft have verified.

So far as Israel is concerned, many authors, writers, officials, doctors, experts and reports have proved with evidence that from the very beginning, Israel have not only stockpiled the WMDs, but used them on various occasions (Wars)—against the neighboring Arab countries.

During various phases of the Palestinian Intifada, Israel used these fatal weapons against the unarmed Palestinians. In this regard, a number of investigative reports, after lab-verification, have indicated severe convulsions, the burning sensation, the difficulty to breathe, the vomiting and pain found in relation to the victims—mostly women and children.

In March 2003, BBC presented the documentary, investigating Tel Aviv’s development of chemical, biological and nuclear weapons.

In 2006, during the war against Lebanon, Israel used banned chemical weapons like phosphorous bombs in Lebanon and Gaza, which killed 286 Palestinians and injured 4,200.

In this connection, American leading media suppressed the real details of the 2009 United Nations fact-finding report which disclosed as to how Israel’s military used chemical weapons against Palestinians.

Here question arises as to why the US, Great Britain and France do not take military action against Israel and India like Syria-type strike.

In fact, brushing aside the dangers, covertly, America and its related-industries which are mostly under the control of Zionist Jews have supplied Tel Aviv WMDs. Concealing these fatal weapons, Tel Aviv had flatly refused to sign the NPT, and to ratify the CWC which obligates states to submit to international oversight and destroy chemical agents in their possession. While in 2013, Damascus ratified the CWC. As regards Israeli nuclear arsenal, it contains variety of atomic bombs. It also possesses small nuclear weapons

It is of particular attention that since the fundamentalist party BJP led by the Indian Prime Minister Narindra Modi came to power in India, it has been implementing anti-Muslim and anti-Pakistan agenda. Encouraged by the BJP, assaults on Muslims, Christians and other minorities by the Hindu extremist parties might be cited as instance. India which has strategic partnership with Israel and America has perennially been exploiting the double game of the US-led West, especially Europe regarding world phenomena of terrorism in connection with Pakistan and Afghanistan.

In wake of Modi’s aggressive diplomacy, India has continued shelling in Pakistani side of Kashmir (Across the Line of Control) which remains a nuclear flashpoint between both the neighbouring countries.

Emboldened by the extremist President Trump, both Tel Aviv and New Delhi have been equating the ‘wars of liberation’ in Palestine and Kashmir with terrorism. Their main purpose is

to manipulate the New Cold War between the US and Russia so as to divert the attention of the West from their own state terrorism which continues unabated on the occupying territories of Kashmir and Palestine.

Although these lethal poisons (WMDs) seem to be mysterious, yet still could be within the reach of some Hindu terrorists with the help of RAW which might have got these destructive weapons from Mossad. Such chemical and radiological materials could have also been smuggled inside India by the Hindu fundamentalists with the covert assistance of RAW.

Frustrated in isolating Islamabad, RAW in connivance with Mossad might have prepared a most dangerous plan to use chemical, biological and nuclear weapons or dirty nuclear bomb inside the US homeland or any major European country to implicate Pakistan for having allegedly used these weapons through some Taliban militants.

Particularly, RAW-Mossad may also employ these fatal weapons against NATO forces in Afghanistan, as India and Israel want to prolong the stay of the US-led NATO troops in Afghanistan which have become the center of their covert activities against Pakistan, Russia, China and Iran. ISIS terrorists which are strategic assets of the CIA may be used by RAW and Mossad for employment of these unconventional weapons. While, India, Israel and the US are also playing double game against one another, hence, by utilizing the vicious circle of terrorism, New Delhi can alone use these weapons through Afghanistan-based Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and ISIS which are also being backed by RAW, CIA and Mossad and have claimed responsibility for several terror assaults inside Pakistan and Afghanistan, including the recent ones. So, RAW’s sole aim will be to provoke Americans and its allies against Islamabad which is challenging Indian hegemony in the region. Thus, Indian RAW could create a dangerous misunderstanding, and the US could use small nuclear weapons against Pakistan.

In the meantime, ambivalent policy of President Trump could also be assessed in relation to North Korea. Throughout the first year of his presidency, President Trump’s rhetoric regarding nuclear North Korea has been uncompromising. But, it abruptly changed. With the backing of Trump, North Korea joined with South Korea in the Olympics. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un visited China on March 28, this year and met Chinese President Xi Jinping who is playing a key role in the upcoming meeting between Kim Jong Un and Trump who is now ready to talk with the North Korean ruler.

At the same time, President Trump has chosen a hardliner John Bolton as his new national security adviser. Bolton who is the former US ambassador to the United Nations under President George W. Bush had advised for a strike on North Korea. He has been a harsh critic of the Iran nuclear deal, and supported invasion of Iraq.

President Trump also ousted the US Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, replacing him with CIA director Mike Pompeo who is more compromising with Trump’s extremist foreign policy.

And a new nuclear policy, issued by the Trump administration on February 2, 2018 which vows to counter the Russians is based less on numbers of weapons and more on novel tactics and technologies is opposite to the treaty committing Washington and Moscow to keep their long-range nuclear arsenals at the lowest levels.

Besides, Trump’s strong backing of the NATO-like alliance by the Saudi Arabia—the Sunni-countries against Iran and accusing Tehran of promoting terrorism, while motivating religious extremism among the Muslims and Christians, Jews and Hindus show his clear links with Tel Aviv and New Delhi.

It is also of particular attention during the heightened days of the Cold War, many crises arose in Suez Canal, Korea, Cuba and Vietnam when the US and the former Soviet Union were willing to use atomic weapons, but they stopped because of the fear of nuclear war which could eliminate both the super powers. Therefore, the two rivals preferred to resolve their differences through diplomacy.

Political strategists agree that in nuclear deterrence—popularly called balance of terror, weapons are less usable, as their threat is enough in deterring an enemy who intends to use its armed might.

Nonetheless, the theory of nuclear deterrence or balance of terror cannot be applied to the present phenomena of the world in wake of the new tensions which have reached the dangerous point after the latest strike on Syria by the US-led UK and France. These European countries, including some other EU and Western states are also following war-like diplomacy which is being led by the emotional and fanatic President Trump who is in collaboration with the Indian fundamentalist Prime Minister Modi and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu so as to continue collective covert strategies against Russians, Kashmiris, Pakistanis, Palestinians, Iranians and Syrians.

In this backdrop, even, a conventional war between Russia and the US-led Western countries, between China and India, between Pakistan and India, between America and North Korea may drag the whole world into nuclear wars or World War III, which are likely to eliminate the entire international community.

While, America’s faulty policy has weakened her position, as she has not only entangled in a prolonged war in Afghanistan, but also enveloped other NATO countries there. Particularly, US-led endless war in Afghanistan and fake global war on terror have rapidly increased the cost of these useless conflicts which have brought about multifaceted crises inside the United States, including other NATO countries or Europe.

America and her Western allies, especially Europe must know that if they want to divert the attention of their public from endless war in Afghanistan and phony global war on terror at the cost of their own peoples, they will badly failed, as religiously-motivated fanatic rulers-Trump, Modi and Netanyahu have been manipulating these conflicts, while dividing the world on religious lines.

Instead of testing the strategic endurance of Russia and targeting Syria to fulfill the dream of Henry Kissinger for a greater Israel, responsible statesmen of the Trans-Atlantic alliance must take cognizance of the dangerous developments in world. They should also know that with the tactical support of CIA, Mossad and RAW are playing a key role in terror attacks which has continued in Afghanistan, Pakistan, US, Europe, Middle East and elsewhere in the world.

At present, fanatic leaders are in power in the US, India and Israel, their collaboration may also culminate into ‘clash of civilizations’, particularly between the Muslim and the Christians worlds. Israel will prefer a nuclear war between Russia and the US-led West to avoid the two-state settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian issue. Atomic war could also erupt between Pakistan and India, as New Delhi also avoids the solution of the Kashmir issue.

Therefore, at this critical juncture, instead of acting upon confrontational strategy with Russia, Western countries, especially EU major states such as Great Britain, France, Germany and their leaders must show rational approach to prevent ‘clash of civilizations or any nuclear war. Instead of implementing the Zionist-led New World Order, they should join Russian war against the terrorist groups like ISIL and Al Qaeda, including their linked militant outfits.

At this critical moment, particularly dangers of the nuclear war or World War III between the American-led Western powers and Russia are hovering on the world like clouds. Hence, peace-loving Muslims, Christians, Hindus, Jews and Buddhists must check the extremist policies of President Donald Trump and those Western leaders who are completing the fanatic agenda of Israel and India, resulting into more recruitment in the militant outfits, especially in the ISIS group, while inspiring the extremist Muslims for more terrorism-related attacks. Instead of engaging themselves in controversial debate on the social media, these peace-loving persons must better make efforts for global peace.

The IRAQs’ Political Woes Won’t End Without Comprehensive Judicial Reform

NOVANEWS

By: Thaar Al-Taiey

[ThaarTechnologies] Baghdad, Iraq – 17 April 2018 –Since the political change in Iraq took place in 2003 with the US-led invasion to change Saddam’s regime, the Iraqi political and judicial system are unstable and very weak, even though the new regime has provided freedom and democracy to the state.

The new political system is suffering from corruption and from the highest levels in the state. This led to looting the wealth of this very rich state. It also aggravated the woes of the Iraqis. There are no basic services provided by the government to the citizens. The electricity does not reach most of the citizens except for very few hours. There are many problems with water and the main roads and streets are shattered. The state is devastated and plagued by unemployment and various kinds of crimes, including terrorism.

Iraq is currently ranked among one of the most corrupt countries in the world, according to latest Transparency International report.

One of the most important reasons for these problems is the absence of a proper judiciary in the state where the existing judiciary is not real. The current judiciary system does not hold the criminals accountable or arrest them, even those who are caught by the accursed crime are either released or not arrested at all and even terrorist criminals do not sue them properly only for certain political ends. That this judiciary has caused many of the scourge of Iraqis, including the spread of corruption in the country.

Lying who say that there is a lack of knowledge about matters of justice in Iraq; this is not true at all. It is just an argument before the international community to shirk responsibility and to justify the failure of judges to act in accordance with the law and to steal more money under the pretext of depositions abroad. The judicial knowledge and the judiciary are not new to Iraq; it is one of the oldest states in this area and the laws in force enough to punish criminals and all kinds of crimes and to promote the country. Nevertheless, most of the judges involved in covering up the criminals and corruption and those who work with honor and patriotism are limited and forced to leave his job and the country as what happened in the rest of the state institutions.

Iraq will not return to its normal status and will not return to its global status, which deserves such the richest country in the world and the home of the first civilization and the country of science and culture, without a comprehensive judicial reform that will be fair and firm in its work and hold criminals whatever they are. Then, these criminals and even the terrorists will feel the strength of the state and the judiciary and their prestige. Hence, they will not commit more of crimes against the innocent citizens, the state, and the world. At that time, the phenomenon of corruption and all kinds of crimes in Iraq will disappear.

Thaar Majeed Hassan AL_Taiey, an educated Iraqi National with an MSc in Computer Engineering, claims to be a victim of such failures in the judicial process by the Supreme Judicial Council and the Country Council.

He said that he has 100% failed processes with the Iraqi judiciary and the Iraqi security authorities and he found them they do not apply the law and they do not arrest criminals, even with the criminal offense or the terrorist crimes. After complaints from 2007, the publication of the issue about 50 times in the Iraqi newspapers, Iraqi satellite channels, The Independent UK, on Feb 6, 2017, and the publication of three press releases in 2017, the Iraqi authorities did not respond and did not apply the law properly as illustrated by the links below.

In 2006, the terrorists attempted to kill him by opening fire on his workplace in Baghdad. He and his family – of 30 people – have continued to be threatened, and in 2011, the terrorists were successful in killing his sister. In 2012, he was targeted by a bomb in which other people in his community were either killed or seriously injured. In 2011-2018, the criminals also made several attempts to kill him, his mother, 70, and several members of his family. On Sept 26, 2017, the criminals attempted to force him leaves his country after he published the third press release about his story on Sept 14, 2017.

He filed lawsuits with the Supreme Judicial Council and the Country Council, penal 4989 seq. 3825 and 7599 seq. 3838 on Jun 28, 2016, and 124 seq. 1061 on Feb 21, 2016, but they dismissed his case without any investigation and colluded with the criminals in the process by the police and the judicial system. His story also received views of over 70 million on Twitter @thaar and 10 million on Facebook @faristaie, Instagram @thaar_altaiey, and YouTube @Thaar taiey. His hashtag #ThaarJustice, is active on several social media channels to focus on his case and on human rights and justice violations happening every day around the world. The Iraqi people opinions about the Iraqi government and the justice system can be found in his story in the last link below.

He subsequently wrote to the Iraqi Judicial Supervisory Board in 2016 but his case is failing to progress, penal kt/84/2016 on May 08, 2016, despite this body concluding that major legal errors had been committed by the Court and the Federal Court of Cassation as the crimes proved to the defendants implicitly but were not an integrated order.

Reported failures in the Iraqi Judicial system are not uncommon, with organizations like Human Rights Watch claiming that the Iraqi Judicial system has been broken for many years.

The failure to apply the law by the Iraqi government and the Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council and to leave criminals unpunished has led to International criticism and speculation that others will commit crimes, leading to the rise of criminal activity on an international scale, including global terrorism.
