Nazi soldiers abducted, on Monday afternoon, a young Palestinian woman at a military roadblock near Nablus city, in northern the illegally Nazi occupied West Bank.

Mohammad ‘Azem, the Mayor of Sebastia Palestinian town, northwest of Nablus, said the abducted young woman has been identified as Lian Nizar Kayed, 22, from Sebastia.

‘Azem added that the young woman was taken prisoner at Za’tara Nazi military roadblock, south of Nablus, and that she was with her mother on their way to Ramallah, in central West Bank.

On Monday at dawn, the Nazi soldiers abducted 23 Palestinians, most of them are members of Fateh Movement, from their homes in several parts of the Nazi occupied East Jerusalem, the Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Silwan (Silwanic) has reported.

On Sunday, Nazi police officers abducted four Palestinians, including a child, from Jerusalem.

British explanations on the role of the Crown in Venezuela

by Jonathan Allen

VOLTAIRE NETWORK

Irefer to the statement made by the Permanent Representative of the Venezuelan Mission to the United Nations, in the meeting of members of the Security Council to discuss the situation in Venezuela on 20 May 2020. I further refer to the letter sent from the same on 26 May 2020 to your Excellency as current President of the Security Council.

The claim that the United Kingdom, through its Venezuelan Reconstruction Unit or otherwise, had prior knowledge of the 3 May 2020 incident in which defector Venezuelan military representatives and independent security contractors entered Venezuela by speedboat is absolutely untrue.

The Venezuela Reconstruction Unit in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office was established in 2019 to coordinate the approach of the United Kingdom to the international response to the dire economic and humanitarian situation in Venezuela. The United Kingdom is committed to working with international partners to bring a peaceful end to the appalling crisis in Venezuela, and the Venezuela Reconstruction Unit is a reflection of that commitment.

The Unit has visited Venezuela twice, obtaining visas through the Embassy of the Maduro regime in London, in order to understand the challenges and determine how the United Kingdom might help. During the first visit, the Unit had diplomatic engagement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Maduro regime. On both visits, United Kingdom Ambassador Andrew Soper spoke publicly about the Unit and its staff. The role of the Unit was further outlined by the Chargé d’Affaires of the United Kingdom in Caracas when summoned by the regime’s Foreign Minister on 14 May 2020. The Government of the United Kingdom, including the Venezuela Reconstruction Unit, had no prior knowledge of the 3 May 2020 incident in Venezuela, and was not attempting to secure “preferred status” for British businesses in the case of the overthrow of Nicolás Maduro.

With regard to the reference made to United Kingdom warships in the Caribbean, the United Kingdom has a permanent maritime presence in the North Atlantic to assure the security of our five Overseas Territories in the Caribbean and the broader region. HMS MEDWAY forms the basis of this year’s maritime presence, enhanced by RFA ARGUS’ deployment in April 2020 to provide further resilience in preparation for the annual hurricane season. This maritime presence is not part of a “covert assault” against Venezuela.

With regard to the letter sent to the Security Council on 26 May 2020 by the Permanent Representative of the Venezuelan Mission, I would like to reiterate, as has been stated previously to the Security Council, that the Bank of England is an independent public organization. As a matter of longstanding policy, Her Majesty’s Government does not intervene in private matters or any disputes that may arise therefrom. As an independent public organization, the Bank of England is not an “executing arm” of the Government of the United Kingdom.

Furthermore, with regard to the other allegations made, the Government of the United Kingdom has in no way divested Venezuelans of the financial means to overcome the humanitarian crisis. In fact, we are among top donors to United Nations and other humanitarian efforts in Venezuela, having recently committed $30 million for 2020–2022 to support Venezuelans in need both inside the country and in the region, building on $24 million of United Kingdom support provided in 2019, which is also supporting the COVID-19 response. We also deny the allegation that we are responsible for depriving the Venezuelan people of food and medicine. The only party responsible for the Venezuelan people’s years-long deprivation of food, medicine, and other basic goods and human rights is the Maduro regime, which has ruined Venezuela through its longstanding corruption, incompetence and mismanagement.

USA plan: militarized control of population

by Manlio Dinucci

The Rockefeller Foundation, which has historical ties to the US federal government, has presented a national plan to control the Coronavirus epidemic. It aims to test 30 million people a day at state expense and to subject US citizens to strict military control.

JPEG - 27.1 kb

The president of the Rockefeller Foundation, Dr. Rajiv Shah, is a senior U.S. official who specializes in manipulating “humanitarian relief” as a means of political pressure. He was director of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s environmental program in Africa and was later appointed by Hillary Clinton as director of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). He would be a member of The Fellowship, the prayer group that brings together the US Chiefs of Staff and Hillary Clinton next to the Pentagon.

The Rockefeller Foundation has presented the “National Covid-19 Testing Action Plan”, indicating the “pragmatic steps to reopen our workplaces and our communities”. However, it is not simply a matter of health measures as it appears from the title.

The Plan – that some of the most prestigious universities have contributed to (Harvard, Yale, Johns Hopkins and others) – prefigures a real hierarchical and militarized social model.

At the top, the “Pandemic Testing Board (PTB), akin to the War Production Board that the United States created in World War II”. The Pandemic Testing Board would “consist of leaders from business, government and academia” (government representatives would not in the first row, but finance and economic representatives being listed in order of importance).

This Supreme Council would have the power to decide productions and services with an authority similar to that conferred to the President of the United States in wartime by the Defense Production Act.

The plan calls for 3 million US citizens to be Covid-19 tested weekly, and the number should be raised to 30 million per week within six months. The goal is to achieve the ability to Covid-19 test 30 million people a day, which is to be realized within a year.

For each test, “a fair market reimbursement (e.g. $100) for all Covid-19 assays” is expected. Thus, billions of dollars a month of public money will be needed.

The Rockefeller Foundation and its financial partners will help create a network for the provision of credit guarantees and the signing of contracts with suppliers, that is large companies that manufacture drugs and medical equipment.

According to the Plan, the “Pandemic Control Council” is also authorized to create a “Pandemic Response Corps”: a special force (not surprisingly called “Corps” like the Marine Corps) with a staff of 100 to 300 thousand components.

They would be recruited among Peace Corps and Americorps volunteers (officially created by the US government to “help developing countries”) and among National Guard military personnel. The members of the “Pandemic Response Corps” would receive an average gross wage of $40,000 per year, a State expenditure of $4-12 billion a year is expected for it.

The “pandemic response body” would above all have the task of controlling the population with military-like techniques, through digital tracking and identification systems, in work and study places, in residential areas, in public places and when travelling. Systems of this type – the Rockefeller Foundation recalls – are made by Apple, Google and Facebook.

According to the Plan, information on individuals relating to their state of health and their activities would remain confidential “whenever possible”. However, they would all be centralized in a digital platform co-managed by the Federal State and private companies. According to data provided by the “Pandemic Control Council”, it would be decided from time to time which area should be subject to lockdown and for how long.

This, in summary, is the plan the Rockefeller Foundation wants to implement in the United States and beyond. If it were even partially implemented, there would be further concentration of economic and political power in the hands of an even narrower elite sector to the detriment of a growing majority that would be deprived of fundamental democratic rights.

The operation is carried out in the name of “Covid-19 control”, whose mortality rate has so far been less than 0.03% of the US population according to official data. In the Rockefeller Foundation Plan the virus is used as a real weapon, more dangerous than Covid-19 itself.

UE declaration on the latest developments in Venezuela

by Josep Borrell

VOLTAIRE NETWORK

JPEG - 30.3 kb

The latest developments have further deepened the long-lasting institutional and political crisis in Venezuela and reduced the democratic and constitutional space in the country.

On May 26, Venezuela’s Supreme Court ratified Luis Parra as President of the National Assembly. As stated previously, the EU considers that the voting session that led to the “election” of Luis Parra was not legitimate. It did not respect legal procedure nor democratic constitutional principles. The EU continues to fully support Juan Guaidó as President of the National Assembly. It strongly rejects the violations of the democratic, constitutional and transparent functioning of the National Assembly, as well as the intimidations, violence and arbitrary decisions against its Members.

Venezuela’s chief prosecutor’s appeal to the Supreme Court to determine whether the political party “Voluntad Popular” is a terrorist organisation is also a step in wrong direction. Futhermore, the increasing political repression and deterioration of human rights situation remain unacceptable.

At the same time, the EU reiterates that a sustainable way out of the Venezuelan crisis can only be achieved through a genuine and inclusive political process that leads to free and fair presidential elections. We reject all types of violence, including any military or violent incursion in the country, and insist on the need for an urgent peaceful and democratic solution.

To that end, all sides need to show genuine engagement in an inclusive negotiation process and to work together and constructively on alleviating the dramatic suffering of the Venezuelan people that is being aggravated by the COVID-19 pandemic. In this context, the recent agreement between national actors on humanitarian assistance is a positive step.

The EU remains fully committed to continue to step-up its efforts in support of a negotiated electoral path, including through the International Contact Group. To this end, a meeting of the ICG will be conveyed in the shortest possible time. The EU will continue to respond to the most urgent needs of Venezuelans, including by mobilising international assistance.

USA: Race riots and separatist temptations

by Thierry Meyssan

The race riots that are spreading in the USA today do not threaten the integrity of the territory, but could pave the way for a cultural confrontation between the communities that share the country. Contrary to common belief, secessions of entire regions are more than ever on the agenda.VOLTAIRE NETWORK | DAMASCUS (SYRIA)

The United States is in flames after the apparent lynching of a black resident, George Floyd, by a white Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin, on May 25, 2020.

The soothing words of Mayor Jacob Frey have not been heard. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has called on the National Guard to quell the rebellion. The riots spread to 140 major cities, and 20 other states also requested the National Guard.

These riots are not against racism in general, but exclusively against anti-black racism. Nor do they have anything to do with the Democratic/Republican political divide. Both Minneapolis and Minnesota are Democrats. They were, however, predictable for anyone interested in American sociology [1].

1] These events are not unlike the 1992 Los Angeles riots, which followed the acquittal of the white police officers who beat up the black Rodney King. At that time, 63 people were killed, 2,383 injured and more than 12,000 arrested. 3,767 buildings were burned and the damage amounted to more than $1 billion [2].

2] However, the current situation pits blacks and some whites exclusively against the White Power, while the situation twenty-eight years ago also pitted blacks against the Korean community. [3] It is spreading throughout the country instead of being confined to the vicinity of the crime scene. This extension takes the United States back to the 1960s (Kennedy-Johnson), when the National Guard had to be deployed to several segregated states to allow blacks to attend public schools.

The 11 rival cultural communities that share the United States today.Source: Colin Woodard

The United States still hasn’t digested its slave past. However, despite appearances, this conflict does not threaten the integrity of the country. Indeed, over the last few decades, the US population has moved around a lot so that today it has regrouped by cultural affinity into 11 different communities (see map above). Blacks, for their part, have not formed a geographical area that they would control, but have carried out a “New Great Migration” mainly towards the deep South (caste system and struggle against the federal state) where they are both integrated and discriminated against. They are also very present in the Midlands (pluralist and middle-class oriented) [4].

According to various police sources, so-called antifascist groups are coordinating the current riots all over the country. Although it is not known for sure who finances this movement, one cannot help but think about the conspiracy denounced three years ago by the FBI, which exposed links between US anarchist circles and Middle Eastern jihadists [5] If this information were verified, we would have to see not in these riots, but in their extension, the hand of the US deep state against President Trump [6] President Trump has announced his intention to ban them.

PNG - 42.4 kb

In any case, things will only go wrong for the future of the USA if other communities get into the dance. Especially the Mexicans, whose Aztec culture is very violent.

The temptation for separatism is particularly strong in Texas [7] and California; the only federal states that present themselves as Republics.

In 1998, Professor Igor Panarin, who was then one of the directors of the KGB, predicted that the United States would not survive the USSR for long. Based on an analysis of the regional cultural differences that were beginning to emerge, he anticipated the dissolution of the federal state. This process was interrupted by the 9/11 attacks and the plans of Presidents Bush Jr. and Obama. However, it resumed during Barack Obama’s second term, brought Donald Trump to power, and now seems inevitable.

Demolition Notices, Halt Construction Ordered by Nazi Military

By: Sammi Ibrahem,Sr

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is settlements2-PNN.jpg

Nazi forces notified two Palestinian home owners, on Sunday, of the order to demolish their homes in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank, according to a local activist.

Popular committee coordinator in Yatta, Rateb al-Jabour, told Palestinian WAFA News Agency that Nazi soldiers notified two Palestinian civilians that their two homes houses will be demolished by authorities.

The Nazi regime denies building permits to Palestinians in the West Bank to prevent them from building, yet allows illegal Nazi Jewish settlers to expand their colonies across the occupied West Bank.

In related news, the Nazi military, on Saturday, ordered construction workers to stop work on a school and confiscated a bulldozer, in the village of Kisan, according to local sources.

Sources told WAFA that a large group of Nazi soldiers invaded Kisan village, near the city of Bethlehem, southern occupied West Bank, ordered the workers to cease construction and threatened workers with arrest for defying the order.

The justification for the order was reportedly due to the lack of Nazi permit to build.

Nazi regime Committed 27 Violations Against Journalists in May 2020

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is detainjournalist-e1562674328883.png

The Palestine News and Information Agency (WAFA) said in a report, on Sunday, that it has documented 27 violations committed by the Nazi occupation forces against journalists and media institutions working in the occupied Palestinian territories during May.

The report on Nazi violations against journalists states that these violations included the use of live fire, rubber-coated steel bullets and tear-gas canisters against journalists, in addition to physical assault and arrest.

WAFA said 11 journalists were either injured by live fire or rubber-coated rounds, suffocated by teargas or beaten by Nazi forces during the month, while 15 journalists were either arrested or targeted by Israeli gunfire but were not injured. Other journalists, meanwhile, had their press card revoked by Nazi soldiers.

On May 3, the report said, the Nazi military court of Ofer sentence Mays Abu Ghoush, a student of media at Birzeit University, to 16 months in jail in addition to a fine of 2000 shekels. Abu Ghoush was arrested on August 29, 2019, and was savagely tortured by Nazi interrogators during her first weeks of detention.

On May 4, the Nazi police detained Palestinian journalist Tamer Ebeidat, a correspondent of Ma’an News Agency, after storming his home in the illegally Nazi occupied Jerusalem.

On May 10, the Nazi occupation authorities ordered a renewed ban on the work of the official Palestine TV in occupied Jerusalem for an additional six months, under the pretext that it is run by the Palestinian Authority, which is not allowed to operate in the city.

On the same day, freelance journalist, Karim Khamayseh, was injured by Nazi soldiers who fired rubber-coated bullets at him while covering the Nazi army invasion of Kobar village, near Ramallah.

On May 12, the Nazi soldiers assaulted journalists, Nasser Shtayyeh and Majdi Shtayyeh, while they were covering the Nazi army crackdown on the town of Ya’bad, northern occupied West Bank.

On May 14, the Nazi soldiers assaulted journalist, Layla Hamarsheh, after invading her family’s home in Ya’bad.

On May 19, the Nazi forces detained journalist, Mohammad Ameen Abu-Daqqa, a cancer patient, at Beit Hanoun border crossing, on Gaza-occupied 1948 Palestine border, while he was returning back from Jordan where he had undergone chemotherapy for eight months.

On May 23, the Nazi occupation authorities ordered Adnan Najib, a freelance journalist, to stay away from Jerusalem on the pretext of “incitement to violence and threatening Israeli security”.

Other similar incidents of assault, injury, or detention of journalists by Nazi troops also documented during the last week of the month.

Nazi Gastapo ‘Shabak’ Claims Arresting A Palestinian Believed To Be Behind The Death Of A Soldier During Jenin Invasion

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is Nathmi-e1591585991958.jpg

The Nazi Security Agency (Shabak) lifted, on Sunday evening, a gag order on the abduction of a Palestinian who is believed to be behind the death of an Nazi soldier during an invasion into Ya’bad town, near the northern West Bank city of Jenin, on May 12, 2020.

The Nazi Gastapo ‘Shabak’ stated that the Palestinian, Nathmi Abu Bakr, 49, is one of the dozens who were taken prisoner shortly after the death of the soldier, and in the hours and days that followed the incident, during extensive military invasions and searches in the town.

The allegation is that Nathmi went onto the rooftop of his own home, and dropped a slab on the invading Nazi soldiers, killing one, identified as Amit Ben Ygal, 21.

However, the only link between Nathmi and the deceased Nazi soldier is that the slab was reportedly dropped from his rooftop, which is also easily accessible to others.

After the death of the soldier during the extensive military invasion into Ya’bad, the soldiers stormed and violently searched dozens of homes, causing excessive damage, in addition to abducting scores of Palestinians.

On his part, Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, “saluted the army and the Shabak for the arrest,” and stated that he ordered the demolition of the Nathmi’s home, an act of collective punishment that violates International Law and the Fourth Geneva Convention.

Nazi Colonist Injures A Palestinian Child In Her Eye

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is eyeinjured-e1591583401128.jpg

An illegal Nazi Jewish colonialist settler attacked, Sunday, a Palestinian child in the Old City of occupied capital of Palestine Jerusalem, causing an injury in one of her eyes, in addition to cuts and bruises.

Media sources said the colonist assaulted the child, identified as Mariam Yasser Najeeb, 11, while playing and riding her scooter in the alleys of the al-Waad Street in the Old City.

Her uncle, Adel Najeeb, stated that Mariam was riding her scooter next to her family’s home, when a colonialist Nazi Jewish settler deliberately pushed her, causing her to fall onto the ground, before fleeing the scene.

He added that Mariam suffered a bad cut in her eyelid, which led to bleeding, in addition to bruises, before she was rushed to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.

It is worth mentioning that there are many colonialist outposts in the al-Waad Street, which is considered a vital and ancient street as it is the main pathway leading to the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Nazi Court Changes Prison Term to Life Sentence for Palestinian Arrested at Age 15

Two prisoners, both of whom were arrested when they were 15 years old, have had extensive sentences handed down by the Nazi Ofer Military Court. The now-19-year-old prisoner, Omar Samir Rimawi, had his sentence changed from 35 years to Life in prison with no possibility of parole. His co-defendant, Ahmad Ayoub Obaidah, 19, had his 32-year sentence confirmed by the court.

The two boys stand convicted of a stabbing in 2015 that left Nazi colonial settler dead. Both were shot and wounded at that time. Both were 15 years old when they allegedly participated in the stabbing atta. Rimawi is from the town of Beit Rima, north of Ramallah, and Obaidah is from Jalazoun refugee camp.

Nazi forces had originally arrested Al-Rimawi on 2/18/2015, when he was no more than 15 years old, and had at the time also arrested Basem Sabah, 18, after the two were shot and wounded, afterallegedly carrying out a stabbing attack in the commercial complex known as “Rami Levy” located in the settlement bloc, Gush Etzion near Ramallah, which killed Nazi Jewish settler .

Rimawi was wounded by several bullets: one in his right hand, one in his back next to the spine and a third penetrated the right side and settled in the chest next to the heart, while his colleague Al-Sabah was hit by three bullets, one in the chest and another in the shoulder, which resulted in cutting the artery and nerve, while the third settled in the foot .

On the same day, the Israeli forces arrested their third friend, Ahmad Obaida, and charged him with assisting the two prisoners of war, as well as Sabah, in carrying out the operation.

Pro-Jewish PAC Funds Go to Democrats To Keep Them in Line

Pro-Israel PAC Funds Go to Democrats To Keep Them in Line

Washington Report on Middle East Affairs, June/July 2020, p. 32

Election Watch

By Delinda C. Hanley and Dale Sprusansky, reposted from Washington Report on Middle East Affairs

It’s ironic that despite the Trump administration showering gifts on Israel (moving the embassy to Jerusalem, accepting the annexation of the Golan Heights and giving a green light to annexing even more of the West Bank), the pro-Israel Political Action Committees (PACs) gave most of their cash to Democrats. And we don’t even count Super PACs, which can raise funds from individuals, corporations, unions, and other groups without any legal limit on donation size. For those pay a visit to www.OpenSecrets.org.

Even with so many Israeli dreams coming true under a Republican president, the lobby remained staunch Democratic contributors.

As presidential candidate Bernie Sanders surged ahead in the polls, a pro-Israel super PAC called Democratic Majority for Israel, went after him, airing TV attack ads on the man who would have been the first Jewish president. His crime? Sanders called Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu a “reactionary racist” and blasted the American Israel Public Affairs Committee for providing a platform “for leaders who express bigotry and oppose basic Palestinian rights.”

Sanders also said, if elected president, he would leverage the $3.8 in U.S. military aid to push Israel to change its policies toward the Palestinians. Enough said. [Editor’s note: A bill to require American taxpayers to give Israel at least that much every year for the next 10 years is poised to be passed right now, unless enough people object.]

But other candidates won their fights with the pro-Israel lobby. Despite receiving more money from pro-Israel PACs than any other candidate running for a House seat this election cycle, Rep. Daniel Lipinski (D-IL) lost his March primary to a challenger from the left, entrepreneur Marie Newman.

Better known for being the last pro-life Democrat to hold federal office than his support for Israel, Lipinski was nevertheless a dependable pro-Israel vote. In 2014, Lipinski co-sponsored the Protect Academic Freedom Act, which would have denied federal funding to academic institutions supporting a boycott of Israel.

Newman, endorsed by the liberal Zionist group, J Street, issued a lengthy 12-point explainer in 2019, describing her rather mainstream views on Israel/Palestine. She expressed her support for U.S. aid to Israel, a two-state solution, and the right of Israel to exist as a Jewish state. Notably, she did vow to oppose anti-boycott laws that threaten the rights of Americans to boycott Israel.

Lipinski had held his reliably Democratic northern Illinois seat since 2005. He lost the primary to Newman by less than 3,000 votes. Every vote counts, but not every dollar guarantees a win.

Giraldi: bowdlerizing language on behalf of ‘Israel’

Giraldi: bowdlerizing language on behalf of Israel

Words to criticize Israel are fast disappearing … Pressure groups who seek to benefit Israel exclusively have been aided and abetted by the so-called U.S. Ambassador to Israel, David Friedman, to suppress the use of words that cast Israel in a bad light. Most contentious is the elimination of the word “occupation” in State Department reporting to describe the wholesale illegal Israeli seizure of land in Palestine.

In the United States there has been a concerted effort to equate any criticism of Israel with anti-Semitism while simultaneously making anti-Semitism a hate crime and thereby converting what one might perceive as exercise of a First Amendment right into a felony…

By Philip Giraldi, reposted from The Unz Review

Regular visitors to this site will be aware that I frequently write about the massive propaganda campaign being run by supporters of Israel to conceal the damage done by the Jewish state to actual United States’ interests.

One of the more interesting aspects of that effort is the bowdlerization of language to extirpate some words that might have anti-Semitic overtones and to twist the meaning of others in such a fashion as to deprive them of any meaning. Providing loans at usurious rates of interest used to be regularly referred to “Shylocking” even in legal circles, named after the Shakespearean character in the Merchant of Venice. It is an obvious word just waiting around to be censored and has consequently disappeared from use.

Recently, those obvious expressions denoting ethnicity have been joined by a whole lot of words condemned by the American Jewish Committee that are a lot more subtle like “clannish,” “cosmopolitan” and “globalist.”

The AJC defines the alleged anti-Semitic expression “dual loyalty” as “…a bigoted trope used to cast Jews as the ‘other.’ For example, it becomes antisemitic when an American Jew’s connection to Israel is scrutinized to the point of questioning his or her trustworthiness or loyalty to the United States. By accusing Jews of being disloyal citizens whose true allegiance is to Israel or a hidden Jewish agenda (see globalist), anti-Semites sow distrust and spread harmful ideas—like the belief that Jews are a traitorous ‘fifth column’ undermining our country.”

The AJC’s definition of “dual loyalty” would perhaps bemuse President George Washington whose Farewell Address included

George Washington’s Farewell Address

“…nothing is more essential than that permanent, inveterate antipathies against particular nations, and passionate attachments for others, should be excluded; and that, in place of them, just and amicable feelings towards all should be cultivated. The nation which indulges towards another a habitual hatred or a habitual fondness is in some degree a slave. It is a slave to its animosity or to its affection, either of which is sufficient to lead it astray from its duty and its interest… So likewise, a passionate attachment of one nation for another produces a variety of evils. Sympathy for the favorite nation, facilitating the illusion of an imaginary common interest in cases where no real common interest exists, and infusinginto one the enmities of the other, betrays the former into a participation in the quarrels and wars of the latter without adequate inducement or justification. It leads also to concessions to the favorite nation of privileges denied to others which is apt doubly to injure the nation making the concessions; by unnecessarily parting with what ought to have been retained, and by exciting jealousy, ill-will, and a disposition to retaliate, in the parties from whom equal privileges are withheld. And it gives to ambitious, corrupted, or deluded citizens (who devote themselves to the favorite nation), facility to betray or sacrifice the interests of their own country, without odium, sometimes even with popularity; gilding, with the appearances of a virtuous sense of obligation, a commendable deference for public opinion, or a laudable zeal for public good, the base or foolish compliances of ambition, corruption, or infatuation.”

If it seems that the First President was predicting the current subservient condition of the United States vis-à-vis Israel, I will leave that judgement up to the reader.

‘Occupation’ becomes ‘Disputed’

More recently, Jewish pressure groups who seek to benefit Israel exclusively have been aided and abetted by the so-called U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman to suppress the use of words that cast Israel in a bad light. Most contentious is the elimination of the word “occupation” in State Department reporting to describe the wholesale illegal Israeli seizure of land in Palestine.

The “occupied territories” held by Israel for over fifty years are now described as “disputed” while Jewish settlements on Palestinian land once routinely described as illegal are now legal. Friedman has expressed his approval of those “disputed” bits being scheduled for “annexation” after July 1st. Perhaps he will come up with a new word to replace annex, possibly something like “restore” or “reunite.” Or “fulfilling biblical prophecy.”

Words are important because how they are used and their context shapes the understanding of the reader or listener. In the United States there has been a concerted effort to equate any criticism of Israel with anti-Semitism while simultaneously making anti-Semitism a hate crime and thereby converting what one might perceive as exercise of a First Amendment right into a felony.

This is largely being done as part of the plan to create a legal basis to suppress the growing Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement (BDS). Twenty-seven states have now passed laws criminalizing or otherwise punishing criticism of Israel, to include requirements to sign documents declaring opposition to boycotts of the Jewish state if one wants a government job or other benefits.

Donald Trump has also signed an executive order to combat what he calls discrimination against Jews and Israel at universities and there are several bills working their way through Congress that can criminalize BDS in particular, incorporating prison time and punitive fines.

But when it comes to protecting Israel in speech and in writing, no one outdoes the totally cowed Europeans. It is a criminal offense to challenge the many shaky details of the standard holocaust narrative in France, Germany and Britain and now the wordsmiths are hard at work to broaden what is unacceptable in speaking or writing.

Banning the word ‘Zionism’

A truly bizarre story comes from England, once upon a time the mother of parliamentary democracy and a model for those who cherished free speech.

One recalls that recently Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn was ousted after a sustained effort headed by the country’s Chief Rabbi marshalling what one might reasonably call Britain’s “Israel Lobby.” It was claimed that Corbyn was an anti-Semite because he believed in the human rights of the Palestinian people and had also attended several pro-Palestinian events. Since the departure of Corbyn, there has been a major effort by the totally subdued Labourites to purge the party of all traces of anti-Semitism to include criticism of Israel and any expressions of sympathy for the Palestinians.

The new Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has apparently learned how to behave from the Corbyn experience. He has been crawling on his belly to Jewish interests ever since he took over and has even submitted to the counseling provided by the government’s “Independent Adviser on Antisemitism,” a special interests office not too dissimilar to the abomination at the U.S. State Department where Elan Carr is the Special Envoy for Monitoring and Combating anti-Semitism.

The adviser, Lord Mann, who like Carr is of course Jewish, has now insisted to Starmer that the use of words like ‘’Zionist’’ or ‘’Zionism’’ in a critical context must be regarded as anti-Semitism if Starmer wants to establish what he refers to as “comprehensive anti-racism” within the Labour Party.

Mann wants to confront what he refers to as “anti-Jewish racism” in Britain, saying that “the thing Keir Starmer has to do is stick with the clear definition of antisemitism, and not waver from that. The second thing he should do if he wants to really imbed comprehensive anti-racism including antisemitism across the Labour Party – then the use of the words Zionist or Zionism as a term of hatred, abuse, of contempt, as a negative term – that should outlawed in the party.”

Perhaps not surprisingly Lord Mann’s comments came during an online discussion with the Antisemitism Policy Trust’s director Danny Stone, one of the major components of Israel’s powerful U.K. Jewish/Zionist Lobby. A majority of British Members of Parliament of both parties are registered supporters of “Friends of Israel” associations, another indication of how Jewish power is manifest in Britain and of how spineless the country’s politicians have become.

Mann added: “If he does that, it gives him [Starmer] the tools to clear out those who choose to be antisemitic, rather than those who do so purely through their ignorance as opposed to their calculated behavior. I think he is seeing tackling antisemitism as one of those things that will be shown to mark that he is a leader.”

So, in Britain you are still presumably free to criticize Zionism, but not Israelis, as long as you do not use the word itself.

If you do use it in a critical way you will be one of those presumably who will be “cleared out [of the Labour Party] for choosing to be antisemitic.”

Do not be alarmed if similar nonsense takes hold in the United States, where already criticism of Israel, such as it is, eschews the word Jewish in any context.

Fearful of retribution that can include loss of employment as happened to Rick Sanchez at CNN, the few who are bold enough to criticize Israel regularly employ generic euphemisms like the “Israel Lobby” or “Zionism,” ignoring the fact that what drives the process is ethno- or religious based. However one chooses to obfuscate it, the power of Israel in the United States is undeniably based on Jewish money, media control and easy access to politicians.

When the friends of Israel in America follow the British lead and figure out that the word Zionist has become pejorative they too will no doubt move to make it unacceptable in polite discourse in the media and elsewhere. Then many critics of the Jewish state will have no vocabulary left to use, nowhere to go, as in Britain, and that is surely the intention.

Tell Congress: American taxpayer dollars for Americans! Vote NO on $38 Billion to ‘Israel’

Tell Congress: American taxpayer dollars for America - not Israel!
The US economy is in shambles. Over 38 million Americans have lost their jobs; 100,000 small businesses have closed permanently, and  7.5 million more are at risk.

Nevertheless, Congress is poised to pass a new law – one that would obligate American taxpayers to give Israel at least $10 million per day for the next ten years.

The Senate could make its move at any moment; the House has already passed a similar bill.
The U.S. has given more money to Israel than to any other country. On average, Israelis receive 7,000 times more aid than other people around the world. In fact, we the taxpayers have given Israel – with a population under 9 million – more aid than we’ve given to the one billion people living sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean combined.
It’s time to say, “Enough is enough. American taxpayer dollars for Ameri- cans in need!
Congress members need to know that we’re watching. American taxpay- ers don’t want to be required to give Israel massive amounts of money when so many Americans are struggling. Read more about the bill (S.3176) here, and about the cost of Israel to Americans hereFill in the fields below to contact your Senators. (After you email them, don’t forget to click on the phone icon so you can also call them!)
