Iran, Israel, Syria, Russia United in UN General Assembly Vote against Neo-Nazism

By Carla Stea

On December 19, 2011, in an extraordinary vote, Iran, Israel and Syria united in support of United Nations General Assembly Resolution A/66/460 on “Inadmissibility of Certain Practices That Contribute to Fuelling Contemporary Forms of Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance.” The resolution was adopted by a majority vote of 134, with 24 opposed and 31 abstentions. Among the 32 co-sponsors of the Resolution were, notably, Iran, Syria, Belarus, the Russian Federation, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, India, Venezuela, Viet Nam. The resolution states:

4. “Expresses deep concern about the glorification of the Nazi movement and former members of the Waffen SS organization, including by erecting monuments and memorials and holding public demonstrations in the name of the glorification of the Nazi past, the Nazi movement and neo-Nazism, as well as by declaring or attempting to declare such members and those who fought against the anti-Hitler Coalition and collaborated with the Nazi movement participants in national liberation movements.

5. “Expresses concern at recurring attempts to desecrate or demolish monuments erected in remembrance of those who fought against Nazism during the Second World War, as well as to unlawfully exhume or remove the remains of such persons, and in this regard urges States to fully comply with their relevant obligations, inter alia, under Article 34 of Additional Protocol 1 to the Geneva Conventions of 1949.

8. Stresses that the practices described above do injustice to the memory of the countless victims of crimes against humanity committed in the Second World War, in particular those committed by the SS organizations and those who fought against the anti-Hitler coalition and collaborated with the Nazi movement, and poison the minds of young people, and that failure by States to effectively address such practices is incompatible with the obligation of States members of the United Nations under its Charter and is incompatible with the purposes and principles of the Organization.”

In 1945 George Braziller published Michael Sayers and Albert E. Kahn’s “The Plot Against the Peace,” which documents, in chapter 6, the nazi doctrine’s explicitly defined policy of xenophobia and racial genocide against the Slavic peoples and the Jews:

“Immediately after Hitler came to power, the Nazi government launched a systematic campaign aimed at the ultimate extermination of the Jewish population of the Third Reich…” But “It was against the Slav peoples, the traditional enemy of Pan-Germanism, that the policy of genocide was most extensively applied…’It will be one of the chief tasks of German statesmanship,’ Hitler told Hermann Rauschning, ‘for all time to prevent, by every means in our power, the further increase of the Slav races.’” (From “The Plot Against the Peace,” by Sayers and Kahn, 1945).
By the end of World War II, in addition to the six million Jews exterminated by the Nazis, approximately 30 million Soviet citizens had been exterminated, only one third of whom had been soldiers.

Former United States Justice Department Attorney John Loftus, in “America’s Nazi Secret,” ( Trine Day Press, 2010), describes this process in the town of Borissow, near Minsk, typical of the genocidal policies executed throughout Nazi occupied Europe, and throughout the Soviet Union. On page 27 he writes:

“The roundup of Jews began at 3AM… The local police, bolstered by reinforcements from the neighboring town of Zembin, surrounded the ghetto… The killing went on throughout the day…Some of the guards raped the younger women before forcing them into the pits. Heads were smashed by rifle butts, and bodies were mutilated. Autopsies conducted after the war showed that some babies, out of sheer savagery or to save ammunition, had been thrown into the pits and buried alive….children were thrown into wells and hand grenades dropped down upon them, and Byelorussian policeman commanded by SS General Franz Kushel, swung infants by the heels and smashed their heads against rocks…..The SS claimed they were killing ten thousand Jews per week. …In all, about two thirds of the approximately 375,000 Jews who lived in Byelorussia before the Nazi invasion were swallowed up by the Holocaust…..Solomon Schiadow, one of the few inmates who escaped Koldichevo, later described conditions there: One day a Byelorussian caught a youngster looking at the sky as planes flew overhead, and accused the prisoner of attempting to signal enemy aircraft. The guard ordered several other Jews to hold the youth down over a table. He warned them that anyone who let go would replace the man at the table. He took out his knife and began to carve large steaks out of the living flesh of the young man, as if he were a butcher calmly working on a side of beef.” (Loftus, “America’s Nazi Secret”)

The events described above, replicated throughout Europe, in the murders of more than 30 million people, describe Nazism, a doctrine so abhorrent that any attempt to legitimize it is to legalize slavery and genocide. Yet, this year, 2011, twenty-two members of the United Nations, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, France, Georgia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Albania, Belgium, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, voted to legalize the Nazi doctrine that perpetrated mass slavery and genocide of Jews and Slavs and numerous other groups the Nazis deemed inferior races.

Even more remarkable in the voting record, is the consistency with which Iran, Syria and the Democratic Republic of Korea have voted together with Israel, year after year, after year to oppose the rehabilitation and glorification of Nazism, the Nazi past and neo-Nazism.
It is indeed remarkable that the very same states that voted to permit the restoration of Nazism voted the following week to condemn Syria for human rights abuses.

The appalling and willful indifference of 22 “developed” countries – indeed their condoning the horrors of Nazism, probably the worst scourge of atrocities in the history of the human species, must be considered the grossest hypocrisy when these same 22 countries sanctimoniously condemn Syria for human rights violations. If these 22 states tolerate the revival of Nazism, by what standard do they condemn Syria? Further, together with Israel, Iran voted to support A/66/460, prohibiting the resurrection of Nazi doctrine. Iran voted to oppose that very same Nazism which exterminated the entire population of Jews in Europe and the Soviet Union.

But this is just the beginning of the disconnect. According to John Loftus (“America’s Nazi Secret”, page 83):

“The United States Counter-Intelligence Corps’ primary task was to identify and arrest Nazi war criminals and key officials. But the denazification program was the responsibility of area military commanders… The Pentagon began smuggling top Nazi scientists into the United States under ‘Operation Paperclip,’ fraudulently identifying them… The recruitment of Nazi war criminals into the United States vastly expanded, and DP camps were scoured by the Operations Research Office of the Pentagon interested in the use of Nazi collaborators ‘in the hope of obtaining information of value in the event of an American invasion of Russia” (Loftus, 117). Harvard University was linked to this program. “The Harvard Institute for Russian Research was funded by OPC (Office of Poly Coordination)… The B-6 series of interviews, for example, covered such non-academic topics as the best method for dropping paratroopers, the utility of Nazi anti-partisan operations, the popularity of Nazi sponsored political organizations….Several of those interviewed candidly acknowledged that they had held positions in Nazi police or intelligence organization. One even admitted that he was hiding out because he was wanted as a major war criminal. Apparently they were more than willing to confess participation in criminal activities because they suspected that the person conducting the interview was more than just another Harvard researcher.” (Loftus, p. 118)

Following the CIA overthrow of Premier Mohammed Mossadegh in Iran in 1953, and the military coup against democratically elected President Jacobo Arbenz in Guatemala, the intelligence community “waited for a signal to begin making serious trouble for the Soviet Union, especially in the occupied countries of Eastern Europe.”

“In 1955 the National Security Council issued NSC 5412/1 which stated: ‘In accordance with established policies, in areas dominated or threatened by international communism, develop underground resistance and facilitate covert and guerrilla operations…Specifically, such operations shall include any covert activities related to: propaganda, political action, economic warfare, direct action, including sabotage, antisabotage, demolition, escape and evasion and evacuation measures; assistance to underground resistance movements, guerrillas and refugee liberation groups; support of indigenous and anti-communist elements in threatened countries of the free world, deception plans and operations and all compatible activities necessary to accomplish the foregoing……The OPC authorized an operation designed to incite simultaneous revolts against Soviet authority in each of the major cities of Eastern Europe, which were to be followed by a civil war among the ethnic and religious minorities within the Soviet Union…. The OPC Nazi ‘liberation armies’ would be dropped in to attack the scattered Soviet garrisons. Roads, bridges and rail lines would be blown up or blocked to prevent the movement of Russian reinforcements. After the Soviets had been sufficiently weakened, NATO troops would be dispatched as a peacekeeping force with the declaration that they would remain only long enough to restore order and conduct democratic elections….A few years before President Truman had ordered a study prepared for an invasion of the Soviet Union.” (Loftus, p. 131).

Among the most high ranking Nazi war criminals brought into the United States were Radoslaw Ostrowsky, Emanuel Jasiuk and SS General Kushel.

“By 1951 CIC investigators realized that Jasiuk was the central figure in a Nazi underground railroad that assisted war criminals to come to the United States…. To prevent the cancellation of any more of its prosecutions, the CIC submitted a formal complaint up the chain of command on the handling of Jasiuk…..The protest finally reached General John Weckerling, Chief of Military Intelligence at the Pentagon, who agreed that the Nazi smuggling operation was deplorable… He told J. Edgar Hoover on January 2, 1951 that the Air Force had apparently used a Nazi war criminal as an informant and that the State Department had permitted him to enter the United States.

Hoover expressed an interest in the case, for it seemed likely to fit in with his plan to expand the FBI’s domestic intelligence capabilities. When FBI agents went to visit Jasiuk, it was not to arrest him but to recruit him…..Jasiuk and other Nazis had found their ultimate protector, the Federal Bureau of Investigation of the U.S. Department of Justice.” (Loftus, P. 190)

Following World War II, innumerable Nazi war criminals were comfortably and illegally settled in countries of Europe and throughout the United States, where at least some of their children and grandchildren may well have been educated in the Nazi doctrine of racial supremacy that required the extermination or enslavement of all races deemed inferior to “Aryans.” This may help explain why, since 2006, members of the European Union abstained on this United Nations resolution “expressing deep concern at the glorification of the Nazi movement,” while in all preceding years the United States, in virtual isolation actually opposed the Resolution A/66/460.

This year, a year which is exposing the failure of the capitalist system in Europe and the USA, the members of the European Union for the first time actually opposed Resolution A/66/460 together with the United States. Iran, Syria, Israel, the Democratic Republic of Korea, together all supporters of A/66/460 revealed their revulsion at the nazi resurgence. One can only wonder by what moral authority nazi-condoning Europe condemns anti-nazi Iran, Syria and the Democratic Republic of Korea.

And, indeed, the blueprint elaborated in 1955 in NSC 5412/1 seems to have been retained, and enacted in recent US/NATO actions against the former Yugoslavia, Libya, and numerous other countries too independent of US/NATO control.

The current European Union attempt to equate the crimes of nazism with communism, an obfuscation formulated in the recent “Prague Declaration on European Conscience and Communism” is an insidious form of Holocaust denial, intended to camouflage the explicitly racist and genocidal character of Nazism, and intended to desecrate the heroic legacy of the Soviet Union’s victory over the psychotic racist and xenophobic nazi assault against humanity in World War II. This Orwellian falsification of history is bringing us to the brink of World War III.

The State of Israel, which demands that non Jews will recognise it as “The Jewish State” has been involved in the ethnic cleansing of non Jews i.e. Palestine Christian and Muslim Arabs since its creation. Whilst the Israeli Government passes more and more laws which disadvantage non Jews, less well known is the situation of immigrants and asylum seekers from Africa. This video by the African Refugee Development Center is being presented to the United Nations today. The video explains in detail the basis for the racism of Israelis against non Jews.

First PSC Jewish Vice chair

Palestine Solidarity Campaign believers have just hit Twitter with a flurry of upbeat, positively Hasbaraesque tweets – presumably to convince us all that today’s AGM was a resounding success.

PSC updates PSC Great AGM today. Excellent programme of work continuing our campaign to FREE PALESTINE! Make sure you get involved in the PSC campaign

Exactly how P.S.C. intends to FREE PALESTINE is not clear.I wasn’t at the AGM but this much I know: before the PSC can FREE PALESTINE from Zionist occupation it had better first free itself!

Noticeably absent from the tweets was any mention that PSC is still reeling from a barrage of Jewish bullying tactics – not only from the usual outside Zionist sources but also from so-called ‘anti- Zionist’ fifth column within.

I am reliably informed that a member of the PSC Executive has confirmed that it was the attacks from the pro-war, Islamophobic, rabidly Zionist website Harry’s Place and the Jewish Chronicle which had bounced the PSC into placing a statement on its website declaring that PSC will not tolerate from members any form of holocaust denial or holocaust minimising (will someone please tell me what this means exactly!) . This was obviously rushed and ill-considered but once out on the website the damage was done and any subsequent retraction would have simply added grist to the mill of Zionist vitriol. In any case, like all acts of appeasement, it didn’t satisfy the Zionists one bit who simply twisted the words and then made even further demands such as PSC had now better stop supporting the genuinely-Semitic Sheik Raed Salah, labelled by Zionists as an anti- Semite. Such is the futility of appeasing these Zio-thugs.

Compounding the Zionist attack from outside, some so-called ‘anti- Zionists’ from within, seized the opportunity to hi-jack the situation and sideline the Palestine Solidarity Movement into discussing issues of holocaust denial and holocaust minimizing, instead of what they should be discussing – the liberation of Palestine. This opportunistic campaign was led by people with a personal vendetta against a certain International Jazz Musician, who incidentally, has many times stated publicly that he is NOT a holocaust denier.

Myself and others who are unwilling to submit to bullying by either Zionist or ‘anti- Zionists, we will continue the fight for a Zionist-free Palestine and indeed a Zionist-free world. We will do this with a new website where we can fly the banner for Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Expression.

Welcome to deLiberation.

NOVANEWS

by Gilad Atzmon

On January 12TH at a Martin Luther King Birthday Concert I joined the NYC Meeting House Orchestra to perform a set of my music. The event was the annual fundraiser for a local homeless shelter and it took place at the auditorium of the Friends Seminary, an elite Quaker private school in Lower Manhattan. The cause was obviously worthy and fully consistent with Quaker values, the house was packed and the concert was a smashing success.

Apparently, some Zionist parents were devastated by my invitation. A few days before the concert, I learned that an Israeli parent was mounting pressure on the Seminary’s management and a day or two before the concert, notorious ethnic cleansing enthusiast Alan Dershowitz joined in. As he himself proudly admits, he relentlessly threatened and harassed the school and its administration.

According to Dershowitz who along the years has gained for himself quite a reputation as a compulsive liar and a plagiarist, the Friends Seminary has now acknowledged that it ‘was wrong to invite’ me. And also according to Dershowitz, the Quaker Seminar promised to invite representatives of the notorious racist Jewish Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and Dershowitz himself to address the students about the “dangers of the sort of anti-Semitic hatred spewed by Atzmon.”

So what’s going on here? Is this a desperate attempt by Dershowitz to be funny? After all, how is it possible that a Quaker institute would invite Jewish supremacists to lecture on tolerance towards one group only? Why would a Quaker institute give a platform to an ADL that is interested in the ‘defence’ of one people only? And why would a Quaker institute give a platform to Alan Dershowitz who is advocating the ‘Case of Israel‘ at the expense of the indigenous people of Palestine? I have never come across a single humanist who supported either warmonger Dershowitz or the Zionist ADL so it would be indeed interesting to see a Quaker institute leading such an unusual move.

Also, the alleged surrender by the Quakers may not be all that it seems. First, it wasn’t the Seminary that invited me it was the teachers within the Seminary who have been following my writing and clearly saw a continuum and consistency between my texts and Quaker’s philosophy. And why not? I write about universal human and civil rights. I fight for justice for all and I tour around the world educating students (of all ages) about the ‘primacy of the ear’ and the art of listening to others. I oppose supremacy and I preach only tolerance and brotherhood. True, I do indeed openly oppose Jewish political exclusiveness, but my criticism is humanist and founded in ethical and ideological criticism. I do not oppose the Jewish people and I refrain from criticising Judaism.

Living as I do in London and being supported by Quaker institutes in the past, I was initially pretty perplexed by the Zionist influence within the NYC Quaker Seminary. To start with, I couldn’t understand the logic of it. Why would Zionists send their kids to a Quaker school? Clearly the discrepancy between Quaker pacifism and Zionist militancy must be blindingly obvious to every Jewish nationalist parent.

However when I visited the Seminary the fog lifted a little. Apparently there is a dispute at NYC Friends Seminary between a management that is striving to survive within a highly competitive educational market and the teachers who are spiritually driven by Quaker philosophy. Also, once in NYC I was pleased to find out that, in accordance with Quaker ideas of inclusiveness, peace and tolerance, the Seminary is sympathetic towards the Palestinian cause and in fact is about to send a mission of student to Palestine this month. It didn’t take a genius to work out that the Zionist parents who opposed my visit were also opposing the mission to Palestine.
The practicality of the Zionist parents sending their kids to the school is obvious. The expensive, elitist school (around $40.000 a year) is located in Lower Manhattan, an area thickly populated by very rich people, many of them of Jewish origin so, the percentage of Jewish students is pretty high, maybe as high as 40% according to one of the teachers.

But I still can’t work out why Zionist parents – supporters of Israel and promoters of Jewish, nationalist, militant ideology – would send their kids to a tolerant, pacifist school. I mean, surely those parents must loathe Quaker ideals. So how do they get over the ideological divide? Simple. The Zionist parents, in collaboration with warmonger Dershowitz, are now insisting that the school give up on its Quaker principles and start to operate as a Yeshiva. They openly lobby against tolerance, freedom of expression and relentlessly suppress freedom of speech. As we always knew – in the ‘land of the free’ money can buy everything.

In fact, what we see here is a microcosm of the Zionification of America. Once Zionist money changes hands, tribal indoctrination will soon follow. The Wall Street Journal confirmed this week that some parents “vowed to pull their applications in protest” unless their demands are met. The message to the Quaker seminary was clear – surrender or face financial extinction.
The Quaker Seminary is facing a serious challenge here. It has to decide whether to stand up for its precious principles or surrender to mammon seeking and face total moral bankruptcy. Interestingly enough, America faces the exact same dilemma. It has to choose between a fight for freedom or total surrender to a foreign materialist ideology conveyed by AIPAC, ADL and other Zionist warmongers.

I wish America and the Friends Seminary’s Quakers lots of luck, because in this battle we are all together. We’re all Palestinians seeking liberation.

The temptation of attacking Iran long entertained by Washington and Israel is gradually crystallizing into a reality of fear and angst and has already become an alarmingly worrisome idea even for those who are wont to see the glass half full.

Amidst an escalating crisis following an exchange of threats between Washington and Tehran, US Army Gen. Martin Dempsey has visited Israel to discuss what is claimed to be an effort to stop a possible Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear sites. This is at least what Western media has been reporting with the manifest purpose of depicting the US government as Mr. Nice Guy who wishes to stop an Israeli attack without having any intention of its own to participate in another military expedition in the Middle East. Is this a sudden political volte face?

Indeed, Washington has been acting very strangely lately.

US President Barack Obama has recently sent a letter to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei through three different channels; the Swiss envoy to Tehran Livia Leu Agosti–the United States’ official diplomatic proxy in Iran; Obama’s UN envoy Susan Rice and the Iranian mission to the United Nations in New York Mohammad Khazaei and Iraqi President Jalal Talabani. The letter is reportedly an invitation to talks between the two parties in order to resolve the so-called nuclear stand-off. Strange as it may be, Swiss envoy to Tehran Livia Leu Agosti delivered the letter to Iran and reportedly quoted Obama as saying, “We (the US) have recognized Iran’s nuclear rights.”

Yet, in another development of note, an article appears on Foreign Policy and suggests that the Mossad agents passed themselves off as CIA operatives, approached and hired some elements of the Jundallah terrorist group in order to carry out acts of terrorism in Iran. Parenthetically, Jundallah, an offshoot of al-Qaeda and a favorite of the US government, is an anti-Iran terrorist group based in Baluchistan of Pakistan which has repeatedly embarked on spree of assassinations (from women and children to government officials) in Iran.

As to the report in Foreign Policy, there are two assumptions:

1. Why should the Mossad agents pass themselves off as CIA operatives in the first place? Does it mean that the Jundallah terrorists would have acted differently if they had been approached by Mossad agents directly? Well, the answer is no. Terrorists are terrorists and there is no point in thinking that they would say ‘yes’ to one spy agency and ‘no’ to another. In case of Jundallah which follows no other agenda but to inflict a lethal blow on Iran, it seems quite far-fetched to imagine that their ultimate objectives would be in substantial conflict with those of the Mossad.

2. Even if we naively concur with the assumption that Mossad agents engaged in some sort of ‘false flag operation’ (as Mark Perry artfully proposes to convey) in recruiting the Jundallah elements, we are left with yet another bigger question: does this exonerate the CIA in their sabotage activities in Iran? Is this meant to direct all the blame for the assassinations in Iran on Israel and cleanse instead the notorious CIA considering the fact that the duo for the most part (at least on the Iran’s issue) have worked in collusion with each other? Let us not forget that only in recent weeks, US Republicans have openly asked the US government to engage in more nuclear assassinations. Behind this arras of political chicanery, one tends to see a mega plot intelligently being woven.

Abdolmalek Rigi, head of the terrorist group Jundallah who embarked on a series of terrorist activities in Iran until he was hanged on June 20, 2010.

Mark Perry’s article on Foreign Policy titled ‘False Flag’ (13 January) contains an interesting point which needs critical attention. The writer builds his claim on the basis of what he has gained from two unnamed intelligence officials who refer to a series of memos “buried deep in the archives of America’s intelligence services”. These two hypothetical figures, “one of whom has read the memos and another who is intimately familiar with the case,” say the “Israelis, flush with American dollars and toting US passports, posed as CIA officers in recruiting Jundallah operatives-what is commonly referred to as a “false flag” operation.”

While the article is per se an open confession to covert operations including assassinations carried out by the Mossad against the Iranian people, it does not render null and void the important role of the CIA in the sabotage activities in Iran. So the report by Mr. Perry does little to change the situation in favor of Washington.

Be that as it may, the US agenda on Iran is heavily influenced and determined by Israel; the US is the body which cannot be separated from its head i.e. Israel. In fact, Washington and Tel Aviv abide by an ominous shared agenda on Iran: war.

A war in the Middle East region, especially if waged on Iran which wields powerful influence, will draw Washington closer to its ultimate objective: global hegemony.

With the Middle East in turmoil, the US will avail itself of the opportunity to set the wheels in motion, indulge in its expansionist polices and play the role of Middle East gendarme.

These new attempts are only new ruses to temporarily alleviate international concerns over another round of US-led adventurism.

But isn’t it easy to see the horror on the horizon?

Council on Foreign Relations Busts Israel for False Flag Terror

by Gordon Duff, Senior Editor

Gordon Duff on Kevin Barrett

When Mark Perry, writing for the CFR, considered the most conservative and certainly the largest American think tank accused Israel of using CIA credentials for recruiting terrorists, particularly against Iran, I nearly fell of my chair.

I had known about this all along. The operations, based in Balochistan, were done by the Mossad with support from Britain’s MI 6 and operational support supplied by Blackwater.

The project head at Blackwater is a friend who was not briefed that he was supporting an illegal terrorist organization.

I love to pick on Blackwater but best stick to the truth.

The attacks, supporting a separatist movement, meaning one operating not just against Iran but our ally Pakistan…are terrorism. Jeff Gates and I met with the defacto president of the separatist republic last year. He had been shot 3 times and was bleeding on the couch.

These are some tough boys.

There is a reason for Balochistan to be unhappy with rule from Islamabad but there are other facts to take into account:

Helping Israel’s Mossad and Britain’s MI-6 is India’s RAW. All 3 are acting as terrorist groups.

All 3 groups and others not mentioned are supporting their operations with heroin trafficking.

All 3 groups have supplied weapons and training that have been used against American troops.

Let’s stop there.

What am I saying? Israel, among other states, has supplied and trained Taliban and led attacks against American forces in Afghanistan and to a greater degree Iraq. The US military is aware of it but considers itself powerless to complain because of the power of the AIPAC/Israeli lobby in Washington.

Proof of this came when real American intelligence operatives traced videos of sniper attacks against Americans in Iraq to proxy addresses used by pro-Israel or Jewish “defense” groups.

You didn’t read this. However, if you have clearance to check such things, please do so. It might start you questioning things. This is the problem with “inconsistencies.”

Thus, we have an ally killing American troops and getting away with it just as they had in 1967 with the USS Liberty? Never heard of it? Look it up.

I am not going to engage in a blanket attack on the Mossad. I have friends there and they are no longer the unilateral organization they once were.

Half the Mossad can be considered pirates by today’s standards. Many of them say the same things I do.

What has happened is a couple of things.

The most obvious is that war and terrorism are a business, always has been, always will be.

Hiding behind “poor Israel” and holocaust stories, the Mossad and other groups tied to Israel are involved in terror networks around the world, now very publicly “outed” for pretending to be the CIA.

They also claim to be the FBI and Homeland Security. They carry FBI credentials and, in some cases, are backed up when caught.

There may actually be no real Department of Homeland Security. It is said, by reliable sources, to be entirely under foreign control and working directly against the United States in a tireless manner.

For those of you working for this organization, remember this when you receive your next assignment. Assignment. Task. Terrorists talk this way too.

Placing the United States Coast Guard, an organization of impeccable reputation, in with a gang of criminals is what we call “cover and deception.”

Controlling the organs of state security here at home has always been a priority, domestic terrorism has been the chosen methodology and will continue to be, financed by American tax dollars.

“Can You Hear Me Now?”

The majority of terror organizations in the world are intelligence agencies. For those who don’t know, Al Qaeda is an invention of the CIA which is supported by phony intelligence submitted to Congress and the Department of Defense by SITE Intelligence.

Site is a contractor that creates phony stories crediting a non-existent group supposedly called Al Qaeda for terror acts really done by hired thugs, gangsters or CIA contractors.

The US government hires a number of organizations to create phony intelligence and has done so for decades, no secret there. Now it is “outsourced” to Israel.

Back when Americans had to make up phony threat reports, they included more humor and irony. I miss that.

There are real acts of what we could call terrorism or insurrection, where people who are tortured, invaded and oppressed fight back using what they can. Remember Lexington and Concord? Most real terrorists would have wintered with Washington at Valley Forge.

Don’t like the truth? So, what can we know for sure?

If the FBI comes to your door, it is likely as not an Israeli agent or member of the ADL or some other group, unless you happen to be a real criminal. If you are an activist or member of the press, chances are you have a phony to deal with.

They are quite brazen. When they claim to be with the State Department, ask for a business card. They won’t have one.

For FBI, I have several retired senior FBI officials I work with every day.

Legal Immunity is Often More Available to Some – Than Others

If approached by the “CIA” or “FBI” or “Homeland Security” at any facility other than an office in a Federal Building, don’t believe them.

I am not saying don’t help the government but never talk to a law enforcement official without bringing an attorney and without a promise of immunity.

Always get immunity before talking to anyone.

Without immunity, if anyone on earth, even a rat out of a sewer, disagrees with you, any statement you make is “obstruction of justice” and will cost you up to 5 years in prison, no matter how innocent the subject.

What can you assume?

99.99% of terror threats against the United States are groups recruited by phony FBI or CIA officials who are employees of a foreign power, that country we have been discussing.

If you play along, you are likely to wake up in hotel room with a rifle, one round fired and a dead federal judge, senator or even a president to answer for. Remember Martin Luther King? George Wallace? John and Robert Kennedy?

Let’s take a look at some of today’s news.

Iraq? The almost daily explosions there are not being done by rival factions. Kurdistan invited Israel in to help them break away from Baghdad. Israel sees this as a way of flanking Turkey, this and their secret alliance with Syria.

Oh, you didn’t know that?

When you hear of 50 or 60 dead in Iraq, the plot started in Tel Aviv. Ever note that you never get an real explanation for anything, just “rival faction” baloney? I don’t respect any news organization that doesn’t at least try to make up a decent lie. They owe us that.

Pakistan? Pakistan is slated for destruction. India is the primary enemy along with Afghanistan, the United States and Israel. Why does Pakistan allow this? Think “totally corrupt civil government.”

This is an understatement.

India? Last week a child was sacrificed to the “crops god” so a good harvest would be guaranteed. India, with its space program and nuclear submarines has the lowest standard of living in the world.

The British set the whole thing up in 1947, and earlier on in 1903, eternal war between India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Britain calls it “the great game.”

America (under Israeli guidance) is now responsible for stirring the pot.

Between the crooked congressional staffers, their moronic bosses, the armies of lobbyists and the suppressed press there is nothing that can’t be publicly done. No law can be enforced except against whistleblowers or dissidents.

Congress has insulated itself from both criminal and civil law over the past few years. Try suing a member of congress.

The Brothers Koch – Or ‘Koch Ya’, as the Case May be

Try establishing an organization advocating a program involving “constitutional values.” The Koch brothers paycheck and a Murdoch bag of cash will be on your porch before you get off the phone.

Thank goodness for the efficiency of “phone hacking.”

Look at Britain? Their entire nation has been caught on the take.

Oh, by the way, Britain is totally bankrupt, far more in debt, per capita, than the US, on a 4 to 1 basis. Their currency, I think they call it “the pound” is worthless.

Perhaps they call it “the pound” because soon they will be weighing it rather than counting it, out of “efficiency.”

Some nations have currency so worthless that they measure the stacks with a ruler rather than count. Bankruptcy is when the BTU level of currency being burned exceeds the value of the notes themselves.

Anyway, back to my guess. I would predict that there are Israeli organizations carrying CIA credentials operating in 15 countries. I also imagine that 1 in 4 FBI agents is a phony.

As for US Attorney’s and Federal Judges, no worries there. The real ones were bought long ago.

And so it goes.

The bumper sticker reads, “I love my country…but I think we should start seeing other people” and recent events lead me to believe it could actually be happening in regards to the “special relationship” between US and Israel.

The American-Israeli massive missile drill codenamed “Austere Challenge 12,” that was to deploy thousands of US troops and missile defense systems to Israel this spring and Israeli forces to the US European Command in Germany [<a onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://wearewideawake.org']);” href=”http://wearewideawake.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2264&Itemid=255″ target=”_blank”>US-Israeli Spring Will Bring Deployment of Thousands of US Soldiers ] was postponed on Friday the 13th most likely rooted in righteous concerns that those war games would escalate tensions with Iran.

However, The Jerusalem Post reported that Defense Minister Ehud Barak led talks with the Pentagon about rescheduling the drill and that US Capt. John Ross, spokesman for the US European Command/EUCOM said, “It is not unusual for such exercises to be postponed, and leaders of both sides believe that the best participation of all units will be best achieved later in the year.” [1]

This mornings news reported by London’s The Sunday Times reminded this reporter of the idiom, “With friends like that, who needs enemies” as I read verification that it was Mossad agents that were behind last week’s assassination of another Iranian nuclear scientist.

According to The Sunday Times, the assassination of Mostafa Ahmadi-Roshan was similar to that seen in “espionage films” and planned over a period of many months with extensive surveillance.

It also quoted an unnamed Israeli sources claiming that the killing was a precursor to a military strike, which would make rebuilding nuclear facilities more difficult for Iran, should they be bombed. [2]

The Israeli source said, “There is zero tolerance for mistakes. By nature, every failure not only risks the neck of the agents but also risks turning into an international scandal.”

Another Friday the 13th, report by Foreign Policy exposed a a series of memos, written during the last years of President George W. Bush’s administration.

The memos describe how Israeli Mossad officers recruited operatives belonging to the terrorist group Jundallah by passing themselves off as American agents.

According to two U.S. intelligence officials, the Israelis, flush with American dollars and toting U.S. passports, posed as CIA officers in recruiting Jundallah operatives — what is commonly referred to as a ‘false flag’ operation.

The memos show that the United States had barred even the most incidental contact with Jundallah, but the same was not true for Israel’s Mossad.

The memos also detail CIA field reports saying that Israel’s recruiting activities occurred under the nose of U.S. intelligence officers, most notably in London, the capital of one of Israel’s ostensible allies, where Mossad officers posing as CIA operatives met with Jundallah officials.

A US intelligence officer said, “It’s amazing what the Israelis thought they could get away with. Their recruitment activities were nearly in the open. They apparently didn’t give a damn what we thought.” [3]

According to a currently serving U.S. intelligence officer, President Bush “went absolutely ballistic” when briefed on the contents of a report that “sparked White House concerns that Israel’s program was putting Americans at risk. There’s no question that the U.S. has cooperated with Israel in intelligence-gathering operations against the Iranians, but this was different. No matter what anyone thinks, we’re not in the business of assassinating Iranian officials or killing Iranian civilians.”

Israel’s activities jeopardized the Bush administration’s fragile relationship with Pakistan, which was coming under intense pressure from Iran to crack down on Jundallah and undermined U.S. claims that it would never fight terror with terror.

A former intelligence officer said, “It’s easy to understand why Bush was so angry. After all, it’s hard to engage with a foreign government if they’re convinced you’re killing their people. Once you start doing that, they feel they can do the same.”

That Mossad operation sparked a divisive debate among Bush’s national security team, pitting those who wondered “just whose side these guys [in Israel] are on” against those who argued, “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” [Ibid]

Within his first weeks as president, Barack Obama drastically scaled back joint U.S.-Israel intelligence programs targeting Iran, according to multiple serving and retired officers.

In November 2010 the State Department added Jundallah to its list of foreign terrorist organizations.

According to a currently serving officer, U.S. intelligence services have received clearance to cooperate with Israel on a number of classified intelligence-gathering operations focused on Iran’s nuclear program which are technical in nature and not about covert actions targeting Iran’s infrastructure or political or military leadership.

A recently retired intelligence officer said, “We don’t do bang and boom. And we don’t do political assassinations.”

According to retired and current intelligence officers, Israel regularly proposes conducting covert operations targeting Iranians, “They come into the room and spread out their plans, and we just shake our heads and we say to them — ‘Don’t even go there. The answer is no.’”

Many but not all of the details of Israel’s involvement with Jundallah are now known and anger among senior intelligence officials about Israel’s actions has become more outspoken, “This was stupid and dangerous. Israel is supposed to be working with us, not against us. If they want to shed blood, it would help a lot if it was their blood and not ours. You know, they’re supposed to be a strategic asset. Well, guess what? There are a lot of people now, important people, who just don’t think that’s true.” [Ibid]

Among those who would agree is President George Washington, who warned US in his Farewell Address:

“Observe good faith and justice towards all nations; cultivate peace and harmony with all…and passionate attachments for others, should be excluded; and that, in place of them, just and amicable feelings towards all should be cultivated. The nation which indulges towards another a habitual hatred or a habitual fondness is in some degree a slave…a passionate attachment of one nation for another produces a variety of evils.”

Another place Israel never should have gone was to use the name, identity and Passport of Cindy, sister-in-law of Cheryl Ben Tov, the American-Israeli Mossad operative who trapped Israel’s nuclear whistle blower, Mordechai Vanunu in 1986 in London.

On April 6, 1996, in an investigative report, The St. Petersburg Times, located Cheryl Ben Tov and reported that she continues to work for the Mossad.

It is illegal under American-Israeli diplomatic protocols for the Mossad to operate in America.

In 1986, Hanin was a 26-year-old Mossad agent posing as an American tourist in London. She grew up in Pennsylvania and Orlando in a Jewish family that owed its affluence to tires.

I moved to Orlando in the mid 1970′s and still can recall her father, Stanley Hanin, the founder and pitchman for the Allied Discount Tires chain stores, shrill refrain in his self-produced cheesy TV commercials, “Tahrs ain’t pretty, but you gotta have them!”

As her parents went through an acrimonious divorce, Hanin embarked upon a long love affair with the Jewish State. In 1977, she spent a semester in Israel, studied Hebrew and Jewish history and threw herself into her academic and religious studies in a three-month residential course funded by the World Zionist Organization.
Upon graduation in 1978, she joined the Israeli army and married Ofer Ben Tov and then was recruited by the Mossad.

In 1986, “She left Israel to flee the media and the people who burrowed into her life,” a friend in Florida told the Israeli daily, Yedioth Ahronoth.
“This bothered her a lot. She was terrified. She felt the need to run. Since this affair Cheryl only wants one thing: a normal quiet life.” [2]

Cindy/Cheryl Hanin Ben Tov has also been living the good life in an exclusive gated community golf course home- purchased in Hanin’s name in 1998 at $528,000.00:

When I asked Vanunu what he was thinking when he took off with Cindy, he maintained eye contact and readily replied, “It wasn’t like THAT-when Maxwell’s paper published my photo without ever talking to me and some of the stolen Dimona photos with a very bad story against me, I knew the Mossad was after me. Cindy said she had a sister in Rome and I thought I would be safe there until I could return to London.

“We went to movies and art galleries, I trusted her. But, as soon as I got into the apartment, I was hit on the head and drugged. When I woke up and they took me for interrogation, they threw the Times article on the table and said, ‘Look, what you did.’ I was so relieved they had published it and that I had done what I did.”

On 5 October 1986, The Sunday Times published the front-page photo story of the Dimona reactor that spread over three pages revealing Israel’s arsenal of upwards of 200 nuclear, which was also five days after the Mossad kidnapped Vanunu and to this day he is still waiting for his right to leave Tel Aviv.

In June 2005, after three days of interviews with Vanunu, he blew my mind when he said:

“Did you know that President Kennedy tried to stop Israel from building atomic weapons? In 1963, he forced Prime Minister Ben Guirion to admit the Dimona was not a textile plant, as the sign outside proclaimed, but a nuclear plant. The Prime Minister said, ‘The nuclear reactor is only for peace.’

“Kennedy insisted on an open internal inspection. He wrote letters demanding that Ben Guirion open up the Dimona for inspection.

“The French were responsible for the actual building of the Dimona. The Germans gave the money; they were feeling guilty for the Holocaust, and tried to pay their way out. Everything inside was written in French, when I was there, almost twenty years ago. Back then, the Dimona descended seven floors underground.

“In 1955, Perez and Guirion met with the French to agree they would get a nuclear reactor if they fought against Egypt to control the Sinai and Suez Canal. That was the war of 1956. Eisenhower demanded that Israel leave the Sinai, but the reactor plant deal continued on.

“When Johnson became president, he made an agreement with Israel that two senators would come every year to inspect. Before the senators would visit, the Israelis would build a wall to block the underground elevators and stairways. From 1963 to ’69, the senators came, but they never knew about the wall that hid the rest of the Dimona from them.

“Nixon stopped the inspections and agreed to ignore the situation. As a result, Israel increased production. In 1986, there were over two hundred bombs. Today, they may have enough plutonium for ten bombs a year.”

Among those who have also been warning that the “special relationship” is not in the best interests of Americans are the USS LIBERTY Veterans.

The LIBERTY Vets have been calling for justice since 6 June 1967, when on that day in infamy, the LBJ Administration failed to support the troops and Congress failed to hold Israel accountable for the deaths of thirty four Americans and the spilled blood of 171 who were wounded due to Israel’s wanton, unprovoked attack and “deliberate attempt to destroy an American [spy] ship and kill her entire crew. In attacking the USS Liberty, Israel committed acts of murder against U.S. servicemen and an act of war against the United States.”- Adm. Thomas Moorer, former Joint Chiefs of Staff on 16 January 16, 2004, for The Stars and Stripes.

This candidate for US House of Representatives also finds it “amazing what the Israelis thought they could get away with” because they don’t “give a damn what we” Americans think; and so I go on the WWW Record calling for an end to the “special relationship” with Israel and for a relationship that holds Israel and Iran to the same criteria, for a Nuclear Free Middle East, an end to the Occupation of Palestine and a free Vanunu Mordechai.

“In the 1990s Gulen’s Madrasas sheltered 130 CIA agents” in Kyrgyzstan & Uzbekistan”

Yesterday Washington Post’s Jeff Stein published a very interesting but incomplete story regarding a recently published memoir by former Turkish Intelligence Chief Osman Nuri Gundes. Here is the title of his post: Islamic group is CIA front, ex-Turkish Intel chief says. For those of you familiar with my case and what I’ve been covering here at Boiling Frogs Post this exposé is ‘old news’ but nonetheless a vindication. As for those who are first-timers here or not that familiar with my case, this is an opportunity for a bit of background and to learn a few important points and facts that you won’t be getting from this ‘half-picture’ presented by the Washington Post.

In his memoir Gundes claims that Fethullah Gulen’s worldwide Islamic movement based in Pennsylvania has been providing cover for the CIA since the mid-1990s, and that in the 90s, the movement “sheltered 130 CIA agents” at its schools in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan alone.

Now, as I’ve done before, I am going to praise Jeff Stein, whom I know and like, for his solid journalistic talent and background and give him a few credits for actually covering this story (it is one of those ‘thou shall not cover’ areas in an agreement between the US mainstream media and the US government), before I bash the piece, its half-a.. coverage, incomplete background, and it’s incredibly lenient treatment of a shady-dubious-charlatan, a major player in this operation yet a major denier when confronted by Stein; Graham Fuller. Again, as before, I am going to blame it on the unfortunate situation of ‘having to sell your journalistic soul to earn your living.’

Let’s start with Gulen. The only background provided on Gulen is the following with only one link which takes you to Gulen’s marketing site:

…an influential former Turkish imam by the name of Fethullah Gulen, has 600 schools and 4 million followers around the world.

…

The imam left Turkey in 1998 and settled in Saylorsburg, Pa., where the movement is headquartered. According to Intelligence Online, he obtained a residence permit only in 2008 with the help of Fuller and George Fidas, whom it described as head of the agency’s outreach to universities.

There is no mention of Gulen’s decade-long ‘wanted’ status in Turkey (until recently), no mention of the ban on Gulen and his Madrasas in several Central Asian countries, no mention of various investigations of Gulen by other western countries, no mention of the unknown sources of his billions of dollars…As we all know except for a very few, and by that I mean a number in 100s if that, no one in this country has ever heard of this guy with his billions, with his castle in Pennsylvania, his hundreds of Madrasas, now hundreds of US charter schools, his dubious businesses….Yet, for an article as serious as this (Madrasas and mosques as CIA operation centers in Central Asia), the central figure in the story has been given one sentence; no history, no relevant facts…

Those of you who have not read our previous commentaries and updates on this topic can check them out here, here, here, and here, and below is a list of a few Gulen related facts totally (mysteriously?) absent from Washington Post piece:

-In 1999 Gulen defected to the US shortly before his scandalous speech, where he is heard calling on his supporters to “work patiently and to creep silently into the institutions in order to seize power in the state”, became public. Turkish prosecutors demanded a ten-year sentence for Gülen for having “founded an organization that sought to destroy the secular apparatus of state and establish a theocratic state”. Mr. Gulen has not left the United States since.

-The Netherlands has taken major steps to cut funding to all Gülen associated organizations and is investigating his operations. The Turkish Fethullah Gülen movement is really an Islamic fundamentalist group, claims Rotterdam council member Anita Fähmel (Leefbaar Rotterdam) on the basis of her own study of the Turkish movement.

-The Russian government has banned all Gülen schools and the activities of the Nur sect in Russia. Over 20 Turkish followers of Gulen were deported from Russia in 2002-2004.

-In 1999 Uzbekistan closed all Gulen’s Madrasas and shortly afterward arrested eight journalists who were graduates of Gulen schools, and found them guilty of setting up an illegal religious group and of involvement in an extremist organization.

-In Turkmenistan, government authorities have placed Gulen’s schools under close scrutiny and have ordered them to scrap the history of religion from curriculums.

Now, back to the story and its other major short coming:

Apparently Mr. Stein was not able to reach Gulen for comment, so he moved on to his CIA sources with ‘long ties to Central Asia.’ First he quotes his first source, Former CIA operative Robert Baer, chief of the agency’s Central Asia and Caucasus operations from 1995 through 1997, who called the allegations bogus. However, Mr. Baer added: “It’s possible that the CIA turned around this ship after I left.”

I don’t have a problem with Baer’s response. Based on what I personally know, US Islamization Operations in Central Asia via Gulen started in late 1997, early 1998. That brings me to what truly set me off, Stein’s second source and actually a character who is pointed to by the new memoir’s author – Graham Fuller:

Graham Fuller, a former CIA station chief in Kabul and author of “The Future of Political Islam,” threw cold water on Gundes’s allegations about Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

“I think the story of 130 CIA agents in Gulen schools in Central Asia is pretty wild,” Fuller said by e-mail.

“I should hasten to add that I left CIA in 1987 — nearly 25 years ago — and I have absolutely no concrete personal knowledge whatsoever about this. But my instincts tell me the claim is highly improbable.”

Next, Jeff Stein very gently confronts Fuller with the fact that according to the memoir and related media coverage Gulen obtained his US residence permit with his (Fuller’s) help, and Fuller denies it and says that’s ‘wrong,’:

“What I did do,” Fuller explained, “was write a letter to the FBI in early 2006 …at a time when Gulen’s enemies were pressing for his extradition to Turkey from the U.S. In the post 9/11 environment, they began spreading the word that he was a dangerous radical. In my statement to the FBI I offered my views…that I did not believe he posed a security threat of any kind to the U.S. I still believe that today, as do a large body of scholars on contemporary Islam.”
…

First of all, there have been tens if not hundreds of articles establishing Graham Fuller as one of Gulen’s official references to the court for his residency, you can view some of these here, here, here. This quote comes from Foreign Policy Journal:

Fethullah Gulen became a green card holder despite serious opposition from FBI and from Homeland Security Department. Former CIA officers (formally and informally) such as Graham Fuller and Morton Abromovitz were some of the prominent references in Gulen’s green card application.

Next is the question of why. Why and in what capacity has Fuller been this active, this supportive, of Gulen? I am talking about this voluntary ‘I wrote a letter to the FBI on Gulen’ line:

…was write a letter to the FBI in early 2006 …at a time when Gulen’s enemies were pressing for his extradition to Turkey from the U.S. In the post 9/11 environment, they began spreading the word that he was a dangerous radical. In my statement to the FBI I offered my views…that I did not believe he posed a security threat of any kind to the U.S. I still believe that today, as do a large body of scholars on contemporary Islam.

And Stein let that slide?! I’d quickly ask: ‘how often do you write to the FBI on people you think have been unfairly targeted or treated by them?!’

Last but not least on Graham Fuller is my own on-the-record, more accurately, on-the-album, naming of individuals implicated (criminally) in my case, thus protected via invocation of the State Secrets Privilege:

Coinciding with the publication of the first article in a series in Britain’s Sunday Times covering some of her allegations, former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds posts a gallery of 18 photos of people and three images of question marks on her website, justacitizen.com The 21 images are divided into three groups, and the page is titled “State Secrets Privilege Gallery.”… “The third group includes people who all appear to work at think tanks—primarily WINEP, the Washington Institute for Near East Policy”: Graham E. Fuller—RAND Corporation, David Makovsky—WINEP, Alan Makovsky—WINEP, ? (box with question mark), ? (box with question mark), Yusuf Turani (president-in-exile, Turkestan), Professor Sabri Sayari (Georgetown, WINEP), and Mehmet Eymur (former head of the Turkish intelligence agency MIT).

…

I am going to leave you with the following excerpts from my interview with Phil Giraldi for the Am Con Magazine in 2009, on Gulen, CIA Central Asia operations & the use of Islam and Mujahideen there-1997-2001, [All emphasis mine]:

GIRALDI: You also have information on al-Qaeda, specifically al-Qaeda in Central Asia and Bosnia. You were privy to conversations that suggested the CIA was supporting al-Qaeda in central Asia and the Balkans, training people to get money, get weapons, and this contact continued until 9/11…

EDMONDS: I don’t know if it was CIA. There were certain forces in the U.S. government who worked with the Turkish paramilitary groups, including Abdullah Çatli’s group, Fethullah Gülen.

GIRALDI: Well, that could be either Joint Special Operations Command or CIA.

EDMONDS: Maybe in a lot of cases when they said State Department, they meant CIA?

GIRALDI: When they said State Department, they probably meant CIA.

EDMONDS: Okay. So these conversations, between 1997 and 2001, had to do with a Central Asia operation that involved bin Laden. Not once did anybody use the word “al-Qaeda.” It was always “mujahideen,” always “bin Laden” and, in fact, not “bin Laden” but “bin Ladens” plural. There were several bin Ladens who were going on private jets to Azerbaijan and Tajikistan. The Turkish ambassador in Azerbaijan worked with them.

There were bin Ladens, with the help of Pakistanis or Saudis, under our management. Marc Grossman was leading it, 100 percent, bringing people from East Turkestan into Kyrgyzstan, from Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan, from Azerbaijan some of them were being channeled to Chechnya, some of them were being channeled to Bosnia. From Turkey, they were putting all these bin Ladens on NATO planes. People and weapons went one way, drugs came back.

GIRALDI: Was the U.S. government aware of this circular deal?

EDMONDS: 100 percent. A lot of the drugs were going to Belgium on NATO planes. After that, they went to the UK, and a lot came to the U.S. via military planes to distribution centers in Chicago and Paterson, New Jersey. Turkish diplomats who would never be searched were coming with suitcases of heroin.

“A Nazi & a Drug Lord in Charge of Police in Osh?”

(Monday, 30. January 2012) – Today Turkish Weekly ran an investigative piece on the newly appointed chief of police in Osh-Kyrgyzstan. The new police chief Suyun Omurzakov, who used to be a deputy minister of interior, has been known as a highly influential drug lord, a leader of organized criminal groups, and he was the subject of a criminal investigation in the past:

In October 2009, the Kyrgyznews.com published an article pointing to a direct link between the then Osh city deputy chief of police S. Omurzakov and organized criminal groups engaged into drug trafficking, referring to this person as one of the most influential drug lords in the south of Kyrgyzstan.

Another report that investigates the June 2010 events developed by a coalition of Kyrgyz and Uzbek human right defenders “Oshskaya Initsiativa” (Osh Initiative) speaks of Omurzakov as a leader of an organized Kyrgyz criminal group, along with the mayor of Osh Melis Myrzakmatov, and crime bosses Almanbet Manapiyaev and Kadyr Dusanov (“Jengo”), etc., who were directly involved into plotting, leading, financing and participating in anti-Uzbek pogroms and distributing arms and ammunition among Kyrgyz militia. …

Since 2001 Kyrgyzstan has been hosting the Transit Center at Manas (formerly Manas Air Base) as the transit point for US military personnel coming and going from Afghanistan, and pays 200 million for continued use of the facilities. For years the base has been riddled with scandals and fiascos. Last December Boiling Frogs Post EyeOpener Investigative Report took a closer look at “The Manas Question: Drugs, Revolution & Terrorism on the Road to Afghanistan”:

But as important as the base is to the Kyrgyz people, the true nature of Manas remains an open question. For years, it has been at the centre of a string of allegations revolving around drug-running, terrorism and stage-managed revolutions. One of the most surprising revelations to emerge from Manas centered around the story of Abdolmalek Rigi, the former leader of the Jundullah terrorist organization who was captured by Iran onboard a flight from the United Arab Emirates to Kyrgyzstan.

Jundullah is a Pakistani tribal militant group that concerns itself with plight of Sunni Muslims in the predominantly Shiite Iran. Despite widely-acknowledged links to al-Qaeda, the CIA has been funding the group for years as a proxy force to commit attacks inside Iran, where it is believed to have killed and injured over 500 civilians since 2003.As Rigi himself told his Iranian captors, his story included the air base at Manas, which he claims the US uses to conduct covert meetings with people like himself.

You can watch the full report here at Boiling Frogs Post.

Last year, Peter Dale Scott wrote a lengthy article outlining how US intervention in Kyrgyzstan, in the name of protecting its strategic air base, has led to the destabilization of Kyrgyz politics and to a drastic increase in the flow of drugs through the country:

“…that there is a deep force behind drug, intelligence, and jihadi activity, would be consistent with the legacy of the CIA’s earlier interventions in Afghanistan, Laos, and Burma, and with America’s overall responsibility for the huge increases in global drug trafficking since World War II. It is important to understand that the more than doubling of Afghan opium drug production since the U.S. invasion of 2001 merely replicates the massive drug increases in Burma, Thailand, and Laos between the late 1940s and the 1970s. These countries also only became major sources of supply in the international drug traffic as a result of CIA assistance (after the French, in the case of Laos) to what would otherwise have been only local traffickers.

As early as 2001 Kyrgyzstan’s location had made it a focal point for transnational trafficking groups. According to a U.S. Library of Congress Report of 2002,

Kyrgyzstan has become a primary center of all aspects of the narcotics industry: manufacture, sale, and drug trafficking. Kyrgyzstan’s location adjacent to major routes across the Tajik mountains from Afghanistan combines with ineffectual domestic smuggling controls to attract figures from what a Kyrgyz newspaper report characterized as “an international organization uniting an unprecedentedly wide circle of members in the United States, Romania, Brazil, Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan….These are no half-literate Tajik-Afghan drug runners, but professionals who have passed through a probation period in the mafia clans of the world narcotics system….”

Mr. Scott goes on to shine a further spotlight on the importance of Kyrgyzstan as a critical US “Transit Hub”:

The Badakhshan drug corridor is a matter of urgent concern for Russia. The Afghan opiates entering Russia via Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, the chief smuggling route, come from Badakhshan and other northeastern provinces. The reductions of the last three years in Afghan drug production, while inadequate overall, have minimally impacted the northeast, allowing opiate imports into Russia to continue to grow. Meanwhile the much-touted clearing of opium poppy from the Afghan northern provinces has in some cases simply seen a switch “from opium poppies to another illegal crop: cannabis, the herb from which marijuana and hashish are derived.”

As a result, according to U.N. officials, Afghanistan is now also the world’s biggest producer of hashish (another drug inundating Russia).67 This has added to the flow of drugs up the Badakhshan-Tajik-Kyrgyz corridor. In short, the political skewing of America’s Afghan anti-drug policies is a significant reason for the major drug problems faced by Russia today.

…

IN July 2010 I wrote a lengthy investigative piece at Boiling Frogs Post on Kyrgyzstan, Bakiyev, Mina Corp and the connected US operatives:

When we talk about the strategic importance of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and other ‘stans’ we are not talking only about strategic in the sense of traditional resources-oil, we also talk about ‘narcotics resources’:

At the moment the stock of pure heroin in Afghanistan is estimated at slightly below 3,000 tons, and the revenues of Afghan drug suppliers reach around $3 bn annually. The international drug mafia earns at least $100 bn annually on heroin from Afghanistan, the money nourishing organized crime not only in Afghanistan but also across Central Asia – in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

And no, the real lords of these resources are not the farmers in Afghanistan or the mules transporting them. The real lords of heroin enterprises happen to be those who’ve been ‘groomed and planted’ to rule the source and transit nations, and the ones who rule those rulers who reside in the United States and other Western countries:

The revenues generated by the drug business are distributed among the criminal groups controlling various segments of the supply chain linking poppy farms to narcotics consumers. While Afghan poppy growers are enduring extreme poverty, the owners of the fields mostly reside in the US, Great Britain, and other Western democracies.

…

I encourage you to take the time and read the entire investigative report on Kyrgyzstan here. Once you do that you’ll understand why it makes perfect sense to have a drug boss lead Kyrgyzstan’s police force. It takes far more than a few mules to transport tens of billions of dollars worth of poppies-heroin. And it takes more than a third-world shack to house-base the loads as a transit hub. What you need is a major airbase and a massive hub. A la USA.

In the wake of the accusation by Chas Freeman that his nomination to lead the National Intelligence Council was derailed by an “Israeli lobby,” a forthcoming memoir by another distinguished ambassador adds stunning new charges to the debate.

The ambassador, John Gunther Dean, writes that over the years he not only came under pressure from pro-Israeli groups and officials in Washington but also was the target of an Israeli-inspired assassination attempt in 1980 in Lebanon, where he had opened links to the Palestine Liberation Organization.

Dean’s suspicions that Israeli agents may have also been involved in the mysterious plane crash in 1988 that killed Pakistan’s president, General Mohammed Zia ul Haq, led finally to a decision in Washington to declare him mentally unfit, which forced his resignation from the foreign service after a thirty-year career.

After he left public service, he was rehabilitated by the State Department, given a distinguished service medal and eventually encouraged to write his memoirs. Now 82, Dean sees the subsequent positive attention he has received as proof that the insanity charge (he calls it Stalinist) was phony, a supposition later confirmed by a former head of the department’s medical service.

Dean, whose memoir is titled Danger Zones: A Diplomat’s Fight for America’s Interests, was American ambassador in Lebanon in August 1980 when a three-car convoy carrying him and his family was attacked near Beirut.

Dean, whose memoir is titled Danger Zones: A Diplomat’s Fight for America’s Interests, was American ambassador in Lebanon in August 1980 when a three-car convoy carrying him and his family was attacked near Beirut.

“I was the target of an assassination attempt by terrorists using automatic rifles and antitank weapons that had been made in the United States and shipped to Israel,” he wrote.”Weapons financed and given by the United States to Israel were used in an attempt to kill an American diplomat!”

After the event, conspiracy theories abounded in the Middle East about who could have planned the attack, and why. Lebanon was a dangerously factionalized country.

The State Department investigated, Dean said, but he was never told what the conclusion was. He wrote that he “worked the telephone for three weeks” and met only official silence in Washington.

By then Dean had learned from weapons experts in the United States and Lebanon that the guns and ammunition used in the attack had been given by Israelis to a Christian militia allied with them.

“I know as surely as I know anything that Mossad, the Israeli intelligence agency, was somehow involved in the attack,” Dean wrote, describing how he had been under sharp criticism from Israeli politicians and media for his contacts with Palestinians. “Undoubtedly using a proxy, our ally Israel had tried to kill me.”

Dean’s memoir, to be published in May for the Association for Diplomatic Studies and Training Memoir Series by New Academia Publishing under its Vellum imprint, has been read and approved for publication by the State Department with only very minor changes, none affecting Dean’s major points.

Its underlying theme is that American diplomacy should be pursued in American interests, not those of another country, however friendly.

A Jew whose family fled the Holocaust, Dean resented what he saw as an assumption, including by some in Congress, that he would promote Israel’s interests in his ambassadorial work.

Ambassador Chas Freeman

Dean, a fluent French speaker who began his long diplomatic career opening American missions in newly independent West African nations in the early 1960s, served later in Vietnam (where he described himself as a “loyal dissenter”) and was ambassador in Cambodia (where he carried out the American flag as the Khmer Rouge advanced), Denmark, Lebanon, Thailand (where Chas Freeman was his deputy) and India.

He takes credit for averting bloodshed in Laos in the 1970s by negotiating a coalition government shared by communist and non-communist parties.

He was sometimes a disputatious diplomat not afraid to contradict superiors, and he often took–and still holds–contrarian views.

He always believed, for example, that the United States should have attempted to negotiate with the Khmer Rouge rather than let the country be overrun by their brutal horror.

As ambassador in India in the 1980s he supported then-Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s policy of seeking some kind of neutral coalition in Afghanistan that would keep the American- and Pakistani-armed mujahedeen from establishing a fundamentalist Islamic state.

For several years after the Soviet withdrawal, India continued to back Najibullah, a thuggish communist security chief whom the retreating Soviet troops left behind.

After the mujahedeen moved toward Kabul, Najibullah refused a United Nations offer of safe passage to India. He was slaughtered and left hanging on a lamppost.

Former Secretary of State George Shultz wrote a letter to U.S. President Barack Obama, urging him to free Jonathan Pollard, the Washington Post revealed..

It was in the midst of this Soviet endgame in Afghanistan that Dean fell afoul of the State Department for the last time.

After the death of General Zia in August 1988, in a plane crash that also killed the American ambassador in Pakistan, Arnold Raphel, Dean was told in New Delhi by high-ranking officials that Mossad was a possible instigator of the accident, in which the plane’s pilot and co-pilot were apparently disabled or otherwise lost control.

There was also some suspicion that elements of India’s Research and Analysis Wing, its equivalent of the CIA, may have played a part. India and Israel were alarmed by Pakistan’s work on a nuclear weapon–the “Islamic bomb.”

Dean was so concerned about these reports, and the attempt by the State Department to block a full FBI investigation of the crash in Pakistan, that he decided to return to Washington for direct consultations.

Instead of the meetings he was promised, he was told his service in India was over. He was sent into virtual house arrest in Switzerland at a home belonging to the family of his French wife, Martine Duphenieux.

Six weeks later, he was allowed to return to New Delhi to pack his belongings and return to Washington, where he resigned.

Suddenly his health record was cleared and his security clearance restored. He was presented with the Distinguished Service Award and received a warm letter of praise from Secretary of State George Shultz.

“Years later,” he wrote in his memoir, “I learned who had ordered the bogus diagnosis of mental incapacity against me. It was the same man who had so effusively praised me once I was gone–George Shultz.”

Asked in a telephone conversation last week from his home in Paris why Shultz had done this to him, Dean would say only, “He was forced to.”
