Beyond John Kerry’s “Israeli apartheid” moment

John Kerry and Israel apartheid

By Nureddin Sabir

Editor, Redress Information & Analysis

It would seem that recurring exposure to Israel and its repulsive Zionist leaders over the past nine months is forcing the truth upon the US secretary of state, John Kerry.

Speaking at a closed meeting of the Trilateral Commission on 25 April, he warned that if Israel doesn’t make peace soon, it could become “an apartheid state”, like the old South Africa, the Daily Beast news website reports.

“A two-state solution will be clearly underscored as the only real alternative. Because a unitary state winds up either being an apartheid state with second class citizens – or it ends up being a state that destroys the capacity of Israel to be a Jewish state,” Kerry told the gathering of senior officials and experts from the US, Western Europe, Russia and Japan. “Once you put that frame in your mind, that reality, which is the bottom line, you understand how imperative it is to get to the two-state solution, which both leaders, even yesterday, said they remain deeply committed to,” he added.

In a further outburst of truth at the same meeting, Kerry lashed out against Israel’s Jewish squatter colony-building programme. “There is a fundamental confrontation and it is over settlements. Fourteen thousand new settlement units announced since we began negotiations. It’s very difficult for any leader to deal under that cloud,” he said.

Kerry’s rendezvous with the truth about Israel had surfaced in earnest on 7 April, when he openly blamed Israel for the breakdown of peace talks during a hearing before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Tip of the apartheid iceberg

But Kerry doesn’t seem to be quite ready to admit the full extent to which Israel is already an apartheid state.

As the journalist Jonathan Cook has stated,

When people call Israel an apartheid state, they are referring to the crime of apartheid as defined in international law. According to the 2002 Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, apartheid comprises inhumane acts “committed in the context of an institutionalized regime of systematic oppression and domination by one racial group over any other racial group or groups and committed with the intention of maintaining that regime”.

In this regard, Israeli apartheid is far wider than the institutionalized discrimination practised against the Palestinians in the occupied territories and the preferential treatment enjoyed by the Jewish squatters in the territories.

As Cook reminds us,

  • Israel has nationalized 93 per cent of Palestinian-owned land in the country so that Jewish citizens can exclude Palestinian Arab citizens;
  • Israel has separate citizenship laws – the Law of Return (1950) and the Citizenship Law (1952) – based on ethnic belonging;
  • Israel has designed its citizenship laws to confer rights on Jews who are not actually yet citizens or present in the state, privileging them over Palestinian Arabs who do have citizenship and are present in the state;
  • Israel defers some of what should be its sovereign powers to extra-territorial bodies – the Jewish Agency and the Jewish National Fund – whose charters obligate them to discriminate based on ethnic belonging;

That is apartheid pure and simple.

Déjà vu

John Kerry has taken a few small steps towards publicly acknowledging the unpleasant reality of Zionist Israel. His journey is reminiscent of that of a former US secretary of state, James Baker, who 24 years ago publicly rebuked the Israelis for obstructing US efforts to start peace talks with the Palestinians, and invited them to call the White House when they are ready for peace.

The question now is whether Kerry will go where Baker did not and actually do something about it, or whether he will sit back and content himself with airing his frustration, as if that would magically resolve the problem.

In his 25 April speech to the Trilateral Commission, Kerry hinted at what he might do if the Israelis continue to obstruct peace.

According to the Daily Beast, he said that he was considering publicly laying out a comprehensive US plan for a final agreement between the Israelis and the Palestinians, in a last-ditch effort to forge a deal before the Obama administration leaves office in 2017.

“We have enough time to do any number of things, including the potential at some point in time that we will just put something out there. ‘Here it is, folks. This is what it looks like. Take it or leave it,’” Kerry said

If that is literally Washington’s final trump card, then it does not take a genius to guess how the Israelis will respond.

But if Kerry’s “take it or leave it” is a diplomat’s way of saying “there will be consequences for taking it and other, unpleasant consequences for leaving it, then Tel Aviv might begin to take him seriously.

The Jew and the Peasant, by Douglas Reed

Douglas Reed explains why anti-Semitism is so prevalent in Ukraine, showing it has deep historical roots that go back for centuries . . .

This is an edited extract from Douglas Reed’s “Disgrace Abounding” [here], with an introductory note, pictures and captions by Lasha Darkmoon.

OF HIS CHRISTIAN VICTIMS (Anti-Semitic cartoon, date unknown)

After Russia and Poland, Ukraine has always been one of the most anti-Semitic nations in the world. This brief article will help to explain why. For centuries, the moneylending Jew was allowed to batten like a bloodsucking vampire on the Christian peasant. So anti-Semitism runs deep in the region and has valid  historical roots.

All this has been hushed up, however, and people are expected to believe that anti-Semitism is a pathological condition. Jews are portrayed as a race of spotlessly innocent victims always being scapegoated by bigots — in short, hated without just cause.

Like Solzhenitsyn’s great work about the Jewish problem in Russia, “Two Hundred Years Together”, Douglas Reed’s works have been been methodically suppressed.

Though Reed was once a famous foreign correspondent for the Times newspaper (UK) and his books were bestsellers in many lands throughout the 1940s, Ivor Benson was to write: “After 1951, Reed found himself banished from the bookstands, all publishers’ doors closed to him, and those books already published were liable to be withdrawn from library shelves and ‘lost’, never to be replaced.”

This was because Reed had dared to tell the truth about the political machinations of organized Jewry — and, as you will see from the extract below, he did not mince his words.

—  Lasha Darkmoon

Reed’s Account of his Visit to the Carpathian Ukraine

The next day I began to study Carpathian Russia, otherwise known as  Carpathian Ukraine.

I made the dreary journey, over the one remaining road, to Chust. There is only the one road, at present, leading to Carpathian Ukraine. It goes up hill and down dale for some hundreds of miles, and would need a great deal of improvement before it could be used for major military operations.

The Carpathian Ukraine is the remote rural area of Ukraine where the Carpathian mountains stretch into Hungary in the north and Rumania in the south.

The population of this remote statelet(right) only amounts to about half a million people. The evidence of the eye would suggest that about half of these are Jews; actually a sixth is probably nearer the truth. The remainder comprise some of the most miserably poor and racially mixed people in Europe; most of them do not themselves know what they are, but they know that they have nothing to eat.

Many of them speak two, three, four or five languages or dialects, and have been successively told in the last twenty-five years that they are Hungarians, Ruthenians, and, now, Ukrainians. The proportion of them who have any knowledge of what a Ukrainian is is very small. This is not very important; the only thing that is important for these people is that they should be lifted out of the misery in which they live.

Never have I seen such poverty as reigns in Carpathian Ukraine.

Here, in these remote Carpathian hills and valleys, the peasant has a house without a chimney. And without flooring. He builds his fire on the stamped-earth floor and the smoke just rises and filters through the roof. Geese, pigs and goats, if he is lucky enough to have any, share the one room with him and his family. For food, he has insufficient quantities of maize bread, which is only just edible. If he has half an acre of land he may pull a rudely-fashioned plough across it himself, or turn it over with a spade.

Money he never sees. He thinks with regret of the great days when he could at harvest time at least go down into Hungary and work on the big estates and bring back, as his wage, a side of bacon for the winter. That was wealth to him.

These peasants, their wives and children, live like animals. Even that is an under-statement. In many districts they are animals. I can see hardly any difference between their life and that of an animal.

In one district, round the villages of Svalava and Verezky, where there are a few small factories, inter-marriage and the drinking of methylated spirits has produced a stunted race of deformed and mentally inferior people. Their life is so hard and their wages so small that their only solace is drinking spirits. And as they cannot afford Schnapps, at 36 kronen a litre, they buy methylated spirits from unscrupulous dealers at 5 kronen a litre. It brings intoxication and forgetfulness of hunger in half an hour.

The sellers of cheap methylated spirits, guaranteed to destroy the liver and kidneys of the peasants and cause a painful death, are invariably Jews — as Douglas Reed goes on to show. [LD]

Carpathian Ukraine is a good place to study the persecution of a non-Jewish community by the Jewish one.

Here, for the first time, I saw the Eastern Jews in their native habitat.

By the time they reach Budapest, Vienna, Berlin or Prague they are already Westernized. Here, as in Poland, you have the future raw material of your Hollywood film producers and screen stars, your international bankers, your slick Jewish journalists — for here, in Carpathian Ukraine, they are learning English too, before they set off for America in search of greener pastures and another people to exploit and bring to ruin. (Italics added).

Here you have a peasant population that has been plundered and bled white in centuries of exploitation, that has passed from one tyranny to another: Czars, kings, nobles, the Church, Russia, Poland, Hungary, and is now completely in the thrall of the Jewish community.

According to statistics, Jews comprise only about 15 per cent of the whole population, but they control all the money power, trade, commerce and banking. Their grip on the people is far more subtle but as vice-like as that of any dictators.

There is no escape for the peasant.

Jews today in traditional dress . . . the look hasn't changed for centuries

In Carpathian Ukraine you are far more acutely aware of the Jews than in other countries, because they wear the uniform of black hat, caftan, ringlets and beard.(See picture).

In every town and village you enter they thus thrust themselves on your gaze, and your first impression is that they must be numerically predominant, that there must be more Jews than non-Jews in the place.

This is in fact not the case. The reason is that they own all the shops and house property in the main square and in the centre of the town generally. The non-Jews live in the meaner streets and remoter quarters.

The way to test this is to go through one of these towns on Friday evening, when the Jewish Sabbath begins. Nearly all the shops in the place are closed; it is difficult for the non-Jewish population to buy anything on Friday evening or Saturday morning. The squeeze-out of the non-Jews is complete.

Only large and financially powerful concerns, like Bata, can hope to compete with the Jewish traders, and perhaps a non-Jewish shopkeeper here and there who keeps going chiefly on what he earns on Friday evening and Saturday morning. The non-Jewish small trader, with little capital, almost invariably goes bankrupt before very long.

The Jews quarrel a good deal, and violently, among themselves, but at the approach of a non-Jew they close their ranks with a solidarity impossible to find among any other people in the world.

The wholesale trade is almost exclusively in the hands of the Jews. The downfall of the non-Jewish interloper is achieved by supplying his Jewish competitors with goods at prices which enable them to undersell him. If any Jew fails to fall into line the services of the rabbi are enlisted and heavy punishments may be enforced against him; he may be refused access to the ritual bath, or the Jewish slaughterer may be ordered not to kill his chickens for him.

The peasant is entirely in the hands of the Jews. If he has any money and wishes to buy anything, he must buy it from a Jew. If he has no money, and needs to borrow some for his taxes or his mortgage, he must borrow it from a Jew. If he has something to sell, he can only sell it to the Jewish dealers. If he wishes to hire a plough, he must hire it, at a high rate, from a Jew.

Peasant brutalized and crazed with cheap methylated spirits sold to him by a predatory Jew. This happened for centuries in Russia, Poland and Ukraine and helped to fuel a virulent anti-Semitism.

Peasant brutalized and crazed with cheap methylated spirits sold to him by a predatory Jew. This happened for centuries in Russia, Poland and Ukraine and helped to fuel a virulent anti-Semitism.

Most sinister of all, if he wants to drink — and alcohol forms his only solace — he must go to a Jew for it, for the great majority of the alcohol licences are in the hands of Jews.

If he goes to law, he puts money into the pocket of the Jewish lawyer — for in Carpathian Ukraine only 19 of the 160 lawyers are non-Jews. To litigate against a Jew, in these conditions, is for him an almost hopeless proceeding.

It is an iron ring, from which there is no escape.

After being a visitor in Carpathian Ukraine for some time, I burned the remains of my Christmas tree in the little iron stove in my room, packed my bags, and boarded the ancient bus that bore me back to civilization.

May holiday terror plot thwarted in Dagestan

Russian police and special forces have conducted a complex raid in the city of Derbent, neutralizing a terror cell that had been planning a series of attacks during the May holidays in the southern Russian Republic of Dagestan.

The first clash happened when police tried to stop a car for selective inspection and two men inside opened fire at the officers, injuring one. One of the attackers was killed in the shootout, while the second fled the scene and was later found in a nearby garage complex. Inside the militant’s car police found a pistol, ammunition and a grenade.

In the meantime a separate anti-terror operation was being conducted nearby, where special forces were blocking a private house where, according to intelligence, several members of a terror cell had been hiding. The suspects refused to surrender, instead opening fire at the officers, forcing them to storm the building.

During the operation a hand-made explosive device was set off inside the house, setting it on fire. Three militants were killed during the raid, the Russian National Anti-Terrorism Committee said in a statement. Police confiscated a couple of machine guns, a rifle, ammunition and several grenades.

Investigating the plot further, police discovered a garage that belonged to the militants and was used as a workshop for creating homemade explosive devises, the committee reported.

A car stuffed with explosives was found inside, along with two bucket-bombs with shrapnel fragments and components for building more explosive devices. In the process of disarming, one of the bombs exploded, destroying the building. Nobody was hurt by the blast, the National Anti-Terrorism Committee said.

“According to the data from the operation headquarters of National Anti-Terrorism Committee, [members of the ‘South’ terror group] were plotting a series of terror acts across the territory of the republic during the May holiday period,” the representative of the committee’s information center, Andrey Chatsky, said.

NATO and CIA Support Al Qaeda Terrorists in Syria

Global Research

A recent Daily Telegraph article reveals that armies of Al Qaeda terrorists are using NATO-member Turkey as a springboard for their invasion of neighboring Syria.

NATO is the chief executor of the so-called “War on Terror,” started in 2001 after Al Qaeda terrorists allegedly flew four passenger planes into various targets on America’s east coast, including the World Trade Towers and the Pentagon. Nearly 3,000 people died in a single day. The invasion of Afghanistan promptly followed based on the pretense that it was “harboring” members of Al Qaeda. The invasion and nearly decade-long occupation of Iraq followed shortly thereafter.

Yet despite all of this, Turkey, a NATO member since the early 1950′s, appears to be guilty of the very crime Afghanistan was allegedly invaded and to this day still occupied for, harboring Al Qaeda terrorists. An army of Al Qaeda is (and has been for nearly 3 years) using southern Turkey as a safe-haven and staging ground for the invasion of Syria – disingenuously portrayed by the Western media as a “civil war.”

Worst of all, these terrorists, literally carrying Al Qaeda’s banner into battle, are passing CIA outposts, US, British, and French special operations training camps, and through Western-funded refugee camps, on their way to commit a wide array of atrocities along and within Syria’s borders.

This defies all explanations except one – the “War on Terror” is a fraud, and the very terrorists thousands of Western troops have died chasing across the planet, have been armed, funded, trained, propped up, and reconstituted by the West itself as a perpetual excuse to engage in global aggression, occupation, and wars of immense profit in both terms of wealth and geopolitical power.

The Daily Telegraph, in its article, Al-Qaeda recruits entering Syria from Turkey safehouses,” has recently reported:

Hundreds of al-Qaeda recruits are being kept in safe houses in southern Turkey, before being smuggled over the border to wage “jihad” in Syria, The Daily Telegraph has learned.

The network of hideouts is enabling a steady flow of foreign fighters – including Britons – to join the country’s civil war, according to some of the volunteers involved.

These foreign jihadists have now largely eclipsed the “moderate” wing of the rebel Free Syrian Army, which is supported by the West. Al-Qaeda’s ability to use Turkish territory will raise questions about the role the Nato member is playing in Syria’s civil war.

Turkey has backed the rebels from the beginning – and its government has been assumed to share the West’s concerns about al-Qaeda. But experts say there are growing fears over whether the Turkish authorities may have lost control of the movement of new al-Qaeda recruits – or may even be turning a blind eye.

Of course, the Telegraph is plainly deceiving its readers. The use of Al Qaeda as a militant proxy against Syria is not an unpredictable and unfortunate result of the ongoing Syrian conflict, but instead a well documented Western plan exposed as early as 2007 by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, Seymour Hersh in his article, The Redirection,” which stated (emphasis added):

“To undermine Iran, which is predominantly Shiite, the Bush Administration has decided, in effect, to reconfigure its priorities in the Middle East. In Lebanon, the Administration has coöperated with Saudi Arabia’s government, which is Sunni, in clandestine operations that are intended to weaken Hezbollah, the Shiite organization that is backed by Iran. The U.S. has also taken part in clandestine operations aimed at Iran and its ally Syria. A by-product of these activities has been the bolstering of Sunni extremist groups that espouse a militant vision of Islam and are hostile to America and sympathetic to Al Qaeda.”

Clearly, the only thing NATO, Turkey, and the Western press have “lost control” of, is the narrative used to deceive the public.

The CIA Not Only Watches Al Qaeda Pass, But is Clearly Arming Them

The New York Times in their March 2013 article titled,Arms Airlift to Syria Rebels Expands, With C.I.A. Aid,” admits that:

With help from the C.I.A., Arab governments and Turkey have sharply increased their military aid to Syria’s opposition fighters in recent months, expanding a secret airlift of arms and equipment for the uprising against President Bashar al-Assad, according to air traffic data, interviews with officials in several countries and the accounts of rebel commanders.

The airlift, which began on a small scale in early 2012 and continued intermittently through last fall, expanded into a steady and much heavier flow late last year, the data shows. It has grown to include more than 160 military cargo flights by Jordanian, Saudi and Qatari military-style cargo planes landing at Esenboga Airport near Ankara, and, to a lesser degree, at other Turkish and Jordanian airports.

The New York Times piece attempts to spin America’s role in arming militants in Syria. The Times continues by stating:

The American government became involved, the former American official said, in part because there was a sense that other states would arm the rebels anyhow. The C.I.A. role in facilitating the shipments, he said, gave the United States a degree of influence over the process, including trying to steer weapons away from Islamist groups and persuading donors to withhold portable antiaircraft missiles that might be used in future terrorist attacks on civilian aircraft.

Just like the Telegraph, the Times is overtly lying to its readers. So-called “Islamists” constitute the summation of armed aggression against the Syrian government specifically because the plans outlined by Hersh in 2007 are now being executed by the CIA, within NATO-member Turkey’s territory, along the Turkish-Syrian border.

Western Special Forces are Training Al Qaeda Terrorists

In addition to the CIA, Western special forces are also operating along and within Syria’s borders. A June 2013 LA Times article titled,U.S. has secretly provided arms training to Syria rebels since 2012,” admitted:

CIA agents and special operations troops have trained the rebels in anti-tank and antiaircraft weaponry in Jordan and Turkey.

The LA Times continued:

CIA operatives and U.S. special operations troops have been secretly training Syrian rebels with anti-tank and antiaircraft weapons since late last year, months before President Obama approved plans to begin directly arming them, according to U.S. officials and rebel commanders.

The covert U.S. training at bases in Jordan and Turkey, along with Obama’s decision this month to supply arms and ammunition to the rebels, has raised hope among the beleaguered Syrian opposition that Washington ultimately will provide heavier weapons as well. So far, the rebels say they lack the weapons they need to regain the offensive in the country’s bitter civil war.

Al Qaeda’s Al Nusra front has established itself on Syria’s battlefields allegedly because of its martial prowess, in contrast to the bumbling “moderates” allegedly trained by US special forces. How is it possible that the West, along with their regional partners, including Saudi Arabia and Qatar, are arming, funding, and admittedly training armies of “moderates,” and yet Al Qaeda has still managed to prevail? Who is arming, funding, and training them? The answer is simple – there were never any meaningful “moderates” despite ham-handed attempts by the Western media to insist otherwise, and the West is intentionally assisting Al Qaeda, just as was planned in 2007.

Thousands of Western troops have died, and are still dying in the so-called “War on Terror.” Many more have been maimed and/or psychologically effected. Evidence suggests that there was no lapse between US backing of Al Qaeda in the 1980′s in Afghanistan and today – and that even as US troops fought on in Iraq, the West and its partners in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Israel were arming and funneling terrorists into the country to fuel sectarian violence designed spec

Syria: Zio-Wahhabi Rat’s receive training in Qatar: Reports

Foreign-backed militants in Syria (file photo)

Qatar is training foreign-backed Rat’s operating against the Syrian government as part of Doha’s efforts to topple President Bashar al-Assad, reports say.

According to French media reports, Zio-Wahhabi Rat’s from the so-called Free Syrian Army (FSA), the al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front and other terrorist groups receive training in the tiny Arab Zionist monarchy which send them to Syria afterwards.

The reports further noted that the foreign-sponsored militants are equipped with weapons, including anti-tank missiles, supplied by the United States.

The militants are said to have spent one week in Turkey for a medical check-up and then headed for Qatar where they stayed three weeks for training.

According to a militant source, around 100 militants are dispatched to Qatar every month to be trained before going to Syria.

The militants at the end of the training receive a bulletproof vest, a helmet and a full medical kit, the report added, noting that they receive their weapons from American forces at the Turkish border.

Syria has been gripped by deadly violence since March 2011. Damascus says the Western powers and their regional allies — especially Zionist Qatar, Zio-Wahhabi Saudi Arabia and Turkey — have been fuelling the unrest by providing militants with money and weapons.

The Turkish daily Aydinlik has said in a recent report that the former commander of FSA, Salim Idris, acted as a middleman in the transfer of TOW anti-tank missiles from Turkey to the militants in Syria. About a dozen militants have been trained in Turkey on how to use the weapons, the report also said.

Earlier this month, Zionist daily Haaretz said Tel Aviv is seeking to launch a joint operation with Zio-Wahhabi Saudi Arabia to train the foreign-backed militants operating in Syria.

Syria’s Assad announces presidential bid

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has registered to stand in the country’s upcoming presidential vote, the speaker of People’s Assembly of Syria says.

Mohammad Jihad al-Laham said on Monday that Assad officially declared he would seek another seven-year term in office, the official SANA news agency reported.

Syrian people will go to the polls on June 3 to elect their next president as Damascus has insisted that it would hold the vote despite the foreign-backed militancy that has plagued the country for more than three years.

Based on Syrian law, the vote must take place between 60 and 90 days before President Assad’s seven-year term comes to an end on July 17.

On April 26, Syria dismissed Western and opposition accusations regarding the presidential vote, saying that it is planning a free and transparent election.

Syria has been experiencing unrelenting militancy since March 2011. The Western powers and their regional allies — especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey — are said to be supporting the militants operating inside Syria.

Reports say that more than 150,000 people have so far been killed and millions of others displaced because of the ongoing violence.

Zio-Nazi opposed to Palestine diplomatic might

A political analyst says Israel is opposed to Palestine’s increasing “diplomatic might” following the Palestinian Authority’s adoption of a plan to seek membership in numerous international bodies.

“Israel sees no benefit in the Palestinians having more standing in other bodies and with other nations and it doesn’t like a kind of strength growing for Palestinians even if it’s only diplomatic strength,” Paul Larudee, from Free Palestine Movement, told Press TV in an interview.

He added that Palestine’s diplomatic strength would open the possibility of what has sometimes been called “lawfare” which means the use of law in order to curb the “excesses of rogue” entities like Israel and hold them accountable.

“Israel has had very little accountability in international circles and this might be an opportunity to get some accountability, which will allow nations that might be sitting on the fence or that might otherwise not be motivated to take actions against Israel such as sanctions and so forth,” Larudee pointed out.

The commentator’s remarks come after the Palestinian Central Council on Sunday adopted a plan to pursue attempts to join 60 United Nations bodies and international treaties.

On April 8, Riyad Mansour, the Palestinian Authority’s (PA) Ambassador to the UN, said Palestine would officially become a state party to 13 UN conventions on May 2.

Mansour added that the PA is ready to submit more applications to join UN agencies, conventions and treaties in response to the Israeli regime’s actions.

The Tel Aviv regime has imposed fresh economic sanctions against the PA following its decision to join the international conventions.

Zio-Nazi min. calls for annexing West Bank’s Area C

Nazi Gilad Erdan

An Israeli minister has proposed grabbing more Palestinian land in reaction to a recent agreement between the Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, and Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).

According to Israeli media reports, Israeli Communications Minister Gilad Erdan on Sunday called for Tel Aviv to annex Area C of the occupied West Bank.

“I suggest we begin to prepare to annex Area C. Where there is a Jewish population that needs to stay where it is, we can begin preparations to annex it if there is no Palestinian partner and the situation is unlikely to change,” he said.

Erdan noted that Israel needs to send a clear message to the Palestinian groups by the move.

On April 23, Hamas and the PLO, which includes Fatah Party, pledged to end their differences and form a unity government.

Under the long-awaited deal, Hamas and Fatah are to establish the unity government within five weeks and hold national elections six months later.

The Israeli regime has reacted by canceling the so-called peace talks with the Palestinian Authority (PA) and threatening sanctions against it.

On April 24, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the unity deal as a “blow to Israel” and said the pact is “killing” the talks between Tel Aviv and the PA.

Last Palestinian-Israeli talks broke down in September 2010, after Tel Aviv refused to freeze its settlement activities in the occupied West Bank.

The presence and continued expansion of illegal Israeli settlements in occupied Palestine has created a major obstacle for the efforts to establish peace in the Middle East.

More than half a million Israelis live in over 120 illegal settlements built since Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories of the West Bank and East al-Quds (Jerusalem) in 1967.

Kuwait terror charges prove US duplicity: Analyst

The US Treasury Department’s labeling of Kuwait as a terror sponsor indicates Washington’s duplicity in dealing with the scourge of terrorism, an analyst writes for the Press TV website.

Gordon Duff’s column on the Press TV website came two days after US Treasury Undersecretary David S. Cohen called Kuwait “the epicenter of fundraising for terrorist groups” fighting in Syria.

Duff said the terror charges against Kuwait show “American duplicity in dealing with very real terror threats that have led to not only massacres and nerve gas attacks in Syria but over 8,000 terror bombing deaths in Iraq as well in 2013 alone.”

The analyst wondered why the US showed no reaction to Kuwait’s financing of “bombings around the world” leading to deaths of “tens of thousands or more.”

“Only when Kuwaiti internal politics derailed the ‘cohesion’ of [foreign-backed] Syrian militants and al-Qaeda jihadists, did the Washington Post, Brookings Institution and Obama White House take notice,” wrote Duff.

The US Treasury Department has confirmed that “hundreds of millions of dollars” have been provided by “Kuwaiti individuals” to terrorist groups like al-Nusra Front fighting in Syria.

“Today, there is evidence that Kuwaiti donors have backed rebels who have committed atrocities and who are either directly linked to al-Qaeda or cooperate with its affiliated brigades on the ground,” Brookings Institution said.

Duff noted that the US had chosen to “ignore Kuwait’s role as the largest financier of world terrorism” since 9/11 while it has incessantly leveled charges against Iran and Pakistan “without ever presenting evidence.”

Turkey gave Syria militants anti-tank missiles: Report

Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT) provided foreign-backed militants in Syria with US-made anti-tank missiles, a local daily reports.

The Turkish daily Aydinlik said in a report that the former commander of the so-called Free Syrian Army (FSA), Salim Idris, acted as a middleman in the transfer of the TOW anti-tank missiles from Turkey to the militants in Syria.

About a dozen militants have been trained in Turkey on how to use the weapons, the report said.

The decision for the transfer of the missiles reportedly came after a meeting between Idris and US Republican Senator John McCain last year.

Militants fighting against the Syrian government are also seeking to recruit new militants in the Turkish city of Istanbul.

On March 30, Syrian Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi said the Turkish government was facilitating the entry of foreign militants into the Christian town of Kasab in northwestern Syria near the Turkish border.

Zoubi added that Ankara’s move was in violation of international resolutions as it constitutes involvement in terrorism.

Earlier in March, an audio recording uploaded on YouTube revealed a plot by top Turkish officials to conduct a false-flag attack as a pretext to invade Syria.

The recording contained the voices of Turkey’s intelligence chief Hakan Fidan, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Deputy Chief of Military Staff Yasar Guler and other senior officials discussing the possible assault.
