HRW: Gulf pays more $6b to supress Egyptian opposition

Kenneth RothKenneth Roth

Executive Director of Human Rights Watch Kenneth Roth has said that latest support of Gulf States to Egypt was channelled to “suppress dissent.”Roth tweeted on Thursday: “It’s expensive running a police state: Gulf States give Sisi [Abdul-Fattah Al-Sisi] another $6B to suppress dissent.”

“Today…$2 billion from each state came into the country’s foreign exchange holdings,” governor of Egyptian Central Bank Hisham Ramez told Reuters in a telephone interview.

“The interest on the deposits is 2.5 per cent and maturities range from three to five years,” Ramez said

Reuters said that Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE and Oman jointly pledged $12.5 billion in aid, investments and central bank deposits at a March investment conference in Egypt’s resort town of Sharm El-Sheikh.

Lieutenant General Abdul Amir al Shammari a senior commander in the Iraqi army told Sky his forces have killed “more than 250 terrorists in the past few days” and re-taken swathes of territory in Anbar province, where the extremist group launched a counter-offensive in recent weeks.

Zio-Wahhabi ISIS captured large parts of the capital Ramadi last week and still controls some parts of the province.

Militants have launched suicide attacks targeting government buildings and checkpoints and are responding fiercely to Iraqi attacks with heavy artillery.

A military official said thousands of police officers and residents who fled Ramadi are now returning back to their homes as more reinforcements arrive, according to the Washington Post.

Staff Maj. Gen. Mohammed Khalaf Saeed said about 2,500 police officers had now returned to Ramadi as the fear engulfing the area subsided, Independent reports.

Over 100,000 displaced citizens fled ISIS’ advance to try and find safety within the last 10 days.

In the other hand Special forces on the frontline in the city of al Karmah, in Anbar province, have amassed heavy artillery and deployed hundreds of troops.

According to Rudaw an armed anti Zio-Wahhabi ISIS group operating in the extremist-held city of Mosul has claimed the assassination of the military attache of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the self-proclaimed caliph of the so-called Islamic State.

“A special force of the Free Officers Movement gunned down Wisan Kanan, Baghdadi’s military assistant, in the Mosul’s neighborhood of Al Faisaliah,” Mohammad Bahaj, a member of the Free Officers Movement, told the Al-hadath news on Thursday.

Zio-Wahhabi ISIS in Yemen Pledge Allegiance to Al-Baghdadi

ISIS Established a Caliphate in Yemen
ISIS Established a Caliphate in Yemen
Supporters of Zio-Wahhabi ISIS say they’ve declared a caliphate in the deserts of Yemen, Al Qaeda fighters are gaining ground amid the chaos.

In a nine minute video published online, the group calls itself Zio-Wahhabi Soldiers of the Caliphate in Yemen.

They appear, all masked, in a desert landscape and number a dozen or so, bearing automatic rifles.

They go through shooting exercises, and crawl through the sand on their elbows while carrying their weapons.

In the end they face the camera and the man at the forefront sends his greetings to Mossad agent Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the self-declared caliph of the so-called “Islamic State”.

The fighter and several others direct their threats to the Houthi movement, who have been fighting the Yemen Al-Qaeda for years.

Mossad and Zio-Wahhabi Intelligence Behind theTerrorist Groups in Yemen

Supporters of the Huthi movement brandish their weapons as they take part in a demonstration in the capital Sanaa on against the Zio-Wahhabi-led military “Decisive Storm” air campaign in Yemen.
Mossad and Zio-Wahhabi spy agency is leading and organizing terrorist groups operating in Yemen, a senior member of Ansarullah movement announced on Saturday.

“The Saudi intelligence operatives are sponsoring different terrorist groups and pro-Hadi militias who are wreaking havoc on Yemen,” Abdul Monem al-Bashiri told FNA.

He further added that the so-called “Island Shield” security forces and hundreds of foreign terrorists have joined Zio-Wahhabi Takfiri groups and the loyalists to Yemen’s fugitive CIA agent Mansour Hadi under the Mossad and Zio-Wahhabi command in an attempt to further destabilize the Arab country and undermine the Ansarullah popular fighters.

Al-Bashiri also said that dozens of Zio-Wahhabi officers are present in Yemen’s port city of Aden in order to bridge the widening gaps between the al-Qaeda terrorists and pro-Hadi militias as well as facilitate coordination among them.

The senior Ansarullah member also said that almost 5000 terrorists are spread out across Yemen’s Aden, Sana’a and Hadramawt.

The Ansarullah fighters and the army troops have made major advances in their fight against the al-Qaeda terrorists and pro-Hadi militias across Yemen.

The clashes between the Ansarullah fighters and the Zio-Wahhabi-backed al-Qaeda terrorists as well as the pro-Hadi militias continue in the Southern parts of the country as Zio-Wahhabi has been striking Yemen for 31 days now to restore power to fugitive CIA agent Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

Zio-Wahhabi-led aggression has so far killed at least 2915 Yemenis, including hundreds of women and children, FNA emphasized.

Meanwhile Yemen’s former president Ali Abdullah Saleh on Friday urged all parties to implement UN Security Council decisions in return for a halt in Zio-Wahhabi-led coalition air strikes.

“I urge everyone — militias loyal to Hadi, to withdraw from all provinces, especially Aden,” the main southern city where fighting has raged between rival forces. Zio-Wahhabi has led an air war targeting the rebels and their allies since March 26.

The former president, who still heads the influential General People’s Congress party, called for UN-brokered Zio-Wahhabi-Yemeni talks to be held in

Saleh also called for a resumption of inter-Yemeni dialogue, urging “reconciliation” and the release of “all prisoners and those kidnapped”.

Saleh ruled Yemen for 33 years before being forced to stand down following a year-long Arab Spring-inspired uprising in 2011.

Zio-Wahhabi Warplanes Blocks Iran Aid Flight’s landing in Yemen

A Yemeni airport security staffer walks on the tarmac at the international airport in the
Yemeni capital, Sana’a, as an Iranian airplane carrying medical aid touches down, March 1, 2015.
Zio-Wahhabi fighter jets have intercepted an Iranian airplane taking an airlift of humanitarian aid to Yemen, media reports say.

Zio-Wahhabi fighter jets prevented the Iranian plane, which was carrying medical aid, from entering Yemeni air space.

Deputy for International Law and Humanitarian Affairs at Iran’s Red Crescent Society Mohammad Shahabbudin Mohammadi Araqi had said earlier that Zio-Wahhabi regime was not allowing humanitarian aid into Yemen.

Zio-Wahhabi launched its military aggression against Yemen on March 26 – without a UN mandate – in a bid to restore power to the country’s fugitive CIA agent Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, a staunch ally of the Zio-Wahhabi family.

Late on Tuesday, Riyadh announced the end of the first phase of its unlawful military operation, which claimed the lives of more than 950 people in 27 days. However, airstrikes have continued with Zio-Wahhabi bombers targeting areas across the Arab country over the past two days, Daily Star reports.

Meanwhile an Iranian Foreign Ministry official has dismissed the claims of Zio-Wahhabi ambassador in the US Adel al-Jubeir and said problems in Yemen are caused by the countries that ruined the Yemen’s infrastructures by military operations, killing or injuring thousands of people.

Condemning continued air raids on Yemen by Zio-Wahhabi regime, the Iranian official repeated request for full cessation of military operations and emphasized, ‘What Yemen now needs is swift shipment of humanitarian aid and beginning of the Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue.’

He said Iran will not spare offering any kind of assistance for facilitation of talks.

Today UNICEF spokesman Christophe Boulierac told reporters in Geneva that at least 115 children have been killed and 172 maimed in the violence raging in Yemen since Saudi-led air strikes began on March 26.

Obama’s ‘Openness’ and Deceit

Exclusive: President Obama claims to value “openness” as a core principle of democracy, but the truth is that his administration has been among the most secretive and manipulative in modern times, tailoring what the public hears about foreign crises to what serves his agenda, writes Robert Parry.

By Robert Parry

In disclosing the deaths of two Western hostages in a U.S. drone strike on an Al-Qaeda compound, President Barack Obama said on Thursday that he had ordered the declassification of the secret operation because “the United States is a democracy committed to openness in good times and in bad.”

But the reality of the past six years has been that his administration has enforced wildly excessive secrecy, selectively declassified material to mislead the American people, and failed to correct erroneous information on sensitive international issues.

A photograph of a Russian BUK missile system that U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt published on Twitter in support of a claim about Russia placing BUK missiles in eastern Ukraine, except that the image appears to be an AP photo taken at an air show near Moscow two years ago.

This failure to trust the people with accurate information has arguably done great harm to U.S. democracy by promoting false narratives on a range of foreign conflicts. With all its talk about “public diplomacy” and “information warfare,” the Obama administration seems intent on using half-truths and falsehoods to herd the people into a misguided consensus rather than treating them like the true sovereigns of the Republic, as the Framers of the Constitution intended with the explicit phrase “We the People of the United States.”

For instance, the Obama administration rushed to judgments on pivotal international events – such as the Syrian-sarin case in 2013 and the Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 shoot-down over Ukraine in 2014 – and then refused to update those assessments as new evidence emerged changing how U.S. intelligence analysts understood what happened.

Instead of correcting or refining the record – and pursuing meaningful accountability against the perpetrators of these crimes – the Obama administration has left outdated, misleading accusations in the public domain, all the better to fit with some geopolitical goals, such as delegitimizing the Syrian and Russian governments. In other words, providing the American people with substantive updates on these atrocities and advancing the cause of justice take a back seat to keeping some geopolitical foe on the defensive.

In both the Syrian-sarin case and the MH-17 shoot-down, I’ve been told that U.S. intelligence analysts have not only refined their understanding of the events but – to a significant degree – reversed them. But the original assessments, which were released nine and five days after the events, respectively, were still being handed out to the press many months later. [See’s “A Fact-Resistant Group Think on Syria” and “US Intel Stands Pat on MH-17 Shoot-down.”]

What is perhaps most troubling in both cases, however, is that the killings involved serious crimes against humanity and the perpetrators have not been identified and brought to justice. Whatever new evidence U.S. intelligence has collected could help track down who was responsible but that doesn’t appear to be a priority for President Obama.

In the MH-17 case, the timetable for the next scheduled release of information is on the first anniversary of the shoot-down, which occurred on July 17, 2014. Given that the shoot-down, which killed 298 people, should be an active criminal investigation, it makes little sense to delay disclosures for something as artificial as an anniversary, giving whoever was responsible more time to slip away and cover their tracks.

In the meantime, the U.S. government continues to re-release its initial claims putting blame on foreign adversaries – the governments of Bashar al-Assad and Vladimir Putin – so the assumption may be drawn that the updated analyses go in different directions, possibly implicating U.S. allies, such as Turkey or Saudi Arabia regarding the sarin attack and elements of the U.S.-backed Ukrainian regime in the MH-17 case. Whatever the truth, however, it is hard to justify why the U.S. government has withheld evidence in these criminal cases, whoever is implicated.

Double Standards

Of course, double standards sometimes appear to be the only standards when the U.S. government is involved these days. When ethnic Russians in eastern Ukraine resist a coup that overthrew their elected president in 2014 – and get some help from Russians next door – the Obama administration and the mainstream U.S. news media decry “Russian aggression.”

On Wednesday, the Obama administration declassified its own claims that Russia had deployed air defense systems in eastern Ukraine and had built up its forces along the border with Ukraine, assertions that Russian officials denied, though those denials were not included in the article on Thursday by New York Times’ national security reporter Michael R. Gordon, who treated the allegations essentially as flat fact.

After citing some analysts musing about different explanations for Russian President Putin’s supposed actions, Gordon wrote, “Either way, the new military activity is a major concern because it has significantly reduced the amount of warning that Ukraine and its Western supporters would have if Russian forces and separatists mounted a joint offensive.”

Gordon then quoted State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf saying: “This is the highest amount of Russian air defense equipment in eastern Ukraine since August. … Combined Russian-separatist forces continue to violate the terms of the ‘Minsk-2’ agreement signed in mid-February.”

Though Gordon included no Russian response to these charges, he did mention that Russia had complained about what Gordon called “a modest program” of 300 American troops in Ukraine training national guard units, a program that Russian officials said could “destabilize the situation.” Gordon wrote that the Obama administration, in response to this Russian complaint. “declassified intelligence describing a range of Russian military activities in and near Ukraine.”

But the intelligence appeared to be just U.S. accusations. In Kiev, U.S. Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt tweeted about “the highest concentration of Russia air defense systems in eastern Ukraine since August” and illustrated his claim by showing a photo of a BUK anti-aircraft missile system. But the photo appeared to be an Associated Press photograph taken of a BUK system on display at an air show near Moscow two years ago, as the Russian network RT noted.

Gordon, who co-authored with Judith Miller the famously bogus Times’ exposé in 2002 about Iraq procuring aluminum tubes for building nuclear bombs, has been an eager conduit for U.S. government propaganda over the years, including his role last year in a page-one Times scoop that cited State Department and Ukrainian government claims about photographs that proved Russian troops were in Ukraine but turned out to be false. [See’s NYT Retracts Russian Photo Scoop.”]

Yet, while Russia is not supposed to mind the forced ouster of a friendly government on its borders or the presence of U.S. and NATO forces supporting the successor regime, a more sympathetic view is taken when Saudi Arabia intervenes in Yemen’s civil war by bombing the country indiscriminately, reportedly killing hundreds of civilians and devastating ancient cities with priceless historical sites that date back thousands of years.

“They’re worried about their own security – and of course we’ve supported them,” stated White House communications director Jen Psaki. “But, again, we’re trying to redirect this to a political discussion here.” (The New York Times article about this “Saudi resolve” – with a similarly understanding tone toward the Saudis – was co-authored by Gordon.)

This pattern of perverting U.S. intelligence information to bolster some U.S. foreign policy agenda has become a trademark of the Obama administration – along with an unprecedented number of prosecutions of U.S. government whistleblowers who release real information that exposes government wrongdoing or waste. This double standard belies President Obama’s assertion that he values openness in a democracy.

Negative Interest Rates. Debt is Better than Cash?

Who’s Running the Monetary Asylum Anyway?

Global Research
GRTV: Mutual Indebtedness: Euro Titanic has Hit the Iceberg

Two days ago Reuters reported the 3 month “Euribor” went into negative interest rate territory. In this missive I will try to make sense of this as to “why or how” this could happen. I do not believe there is an answer other than the madness and insanity of being locked in a “short squeeze” room with the exits being blocked.

Over the last three years we have seen gold trade many times in backwardation, James Turk has reported this again is occurring in London. The only explanations for this is that market participants either need gold now for whatever reason and will pay a premium to get it …or, they fear not receiving gold contracted for in the future. The bottom line is this, for backwardation to occur, the “current” gold must be in short supply for some reason. I believe this is what we are seeing in Europe, “collateral” is in shortage and a short squeeze has pushed pricing into a Twilight Zone without logic.

After gold backwardation came the next head scratcher which began last year where various bonds, bank accounts and even mortgages being written with negative interest rates. How do any of these make sense? You “pay” the sovereign or even corporate borrower to lend money to them? Or a bank pays you to borrow money on a house or property? Think about the incentives here. Wouldn’t it be better to just take your money out of a bank or broker to avoid the negative interest and just bury it in a hole somewhere? How about banks lending at negative interest rates for a home, wouldn’t the bank be better off NOT making the loan and instead just sitting on the reserves? Here is David Stockman’s current take.

A similar situation to this happened years ago in Switzerland (and again currently) where interest rates went negative as people wanted assurance “of” principal rather than “on” principal. The fear of currency devaluation was so great, capital piled into the “hard currency” francs. This is NOT what is happening today in Europe, no one is accepting negative yield just to own the euro “for safety” as it has already crashed versus the dollar and more so versus gold. What I believe has happened is the system has fewer and fewer doors where the exists are being blocked and collateral withdrawn.

It is only a matter of time before we see depositors burying actual currency notes, they are also converting into precious metals but the paper exchange subsidy still holds, for now? Not only is the ECB withdrawing collateral via “QE”, individual depositors are purchasing German sovereign debt and withdrawing it from the market. Take the Greeks for example, they fear their own banks and know they are not safe, they fear depositing in German or other banks because their deposits may be frozen or worse, confiscated. So what is their option for “safety” in this paper room? Direct purchases of sovereign debt!

Now, “interbank” lending has gone into negative interest rates which is beyond lunacy. Banks which are theoretically run by “smart” people are paying to lend and of course willfully being paid to borrow. The only explanation I can come up with is that collateral has become so scarce that a short squeeze has resulted. Any institution that needs collateral is forced to pay the market rate which now includes locking in a guaranteed loss. Business in Europe has become so poor, no one can, much less wants to borrow anything. “Debt saturation” is where we came from in 2007-08 and further down the rabbit hole to where we are now, inverted interest rates on ALL levels …now even between “pros”?

I view what is now happening as “eating into the bone”. Debt has become so highly priced, locking in guaranteed losses is now seen as “wisdom”. When viewed in history, the current mania will not be seen as a tribe or nation gone mad, it will be seen as the entire human population losing sight of their senses and allowing the lunatics to run the insane asylum. I have no idea what the event will be to wake up the world but the event is out there and its realization will be akin to awakening from a nightmare in a cold sweat.

“Debt is better than money” is becoming the current belief in the world. In fact, with negative interest rates it can be said the world now values debt greater than money. This cannot be so because of the simple fact that actual paper notes can be held out of the system and not “discounted”. How can owning debt today which promises less currency in the future be worth more than more currency today? The fear of loss is so great that currency itself is being discounted versus debt. If you think this through, it says “everything is worth nothing” because the currency itself is bad and losing confidence. Maybe this is why we are seeing a push from all around the world to go “cashless” and fully digitize? This would be closing and locking the only remaining door other than making precious metals illegal. The only way for this to be “normal” is if the lunatics are running the asylum …they surely are!

Ed Miliband And The Jews

The majority of British Jews prefer a ‘Sabbos Goy’ to run the country on their behalf; a politician that can be pushed and squeezed, a person that would take the country to the next Zionist global conflict without raising too many questions. A person that would support Israel when support is requested by The Lobby, a PM that would react to the imaginary fear of Anti Semitism even before the Jews themselves would sense such a fear. Only a dedicated Sabbos Goy can provide the goods. But Miliband will not be able to satisfy any of these demands. For the Jews, his Jewishness is clearly an obstacle. It only means that he will work hard to convey an image of impartiality and reason and, as we know, these two do not agree with Zion.

This Jewish attitude is far from being new, it is in fact as old as the Jews themselves. The Book Of Esther teaches Jews how to manipulate, mobilize and interfere with their rulers rather than becoming the rulers themselves. British Jews need a leader who easily succumb to their lobby pressure. They suspect that Ed may be more resistant than any other candidate and truth must be told, they may as well be correct.

Crime And Punishment – Holocaust vs. Paedophilia

By Gilad Atzmon

Allison Pearson wrote in The Telegraph two days ago, “As Oskar Groening, the so-called Accountant of Auschwitz, goes on trial at the age of 93 for his complicity in war crimes, the 86-year-old Labour peer Greville Janner is excused prosecution for 22 alleged sexual offences against nine boys in his Leicestershire constituency, from the 1960s to the 1980s, because he is suffering from ‘severe dementia’.”

Pearson is spot on. While Groening is merely a Goy and a German, Lord Janner is a Jew and not just an ordinary Jew, but a quite prominent one. From 1978 to 1984 Lord Janner was the chairman of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, an institution that claims to “represent British Jews.”  Lord Janner is also dominant in the field of holocaust education. He is clearly concerned with Jewish suffering but apparently dismissive of the shoah he is accused of inflicting on minor boys at the same time he represented British Jews.

Apparently there has been long and ongoing massive whitewash operation for Lord Janner, allowing him to conceal his alleged egregious sex crimes. The BBC revealed recently that as early as “1989 a detective sergeant was told not to arrest Mr Janner or search his home.

Unlike German elder Oskar Groening who stands trial for being an ‘instrument in a mass murder,’ whatever that means; Lord Greville Janner is not going to be arrested or charged. Lord Janner is free and he has not wasted his freedom. Apparently the elder Lord who suffers ‘severe dementia,’ has been active in transferring and concealing his wealth, presumably in case a few of his alleged victims decide they deserve compensation for the shoah he inflicted on them.

The Daily Mail reports that: “Lord Janner gave his children deeds to his £2m home at height of abuse… the move could slash potential payouts…The transfer happened after police raided his office in the House of Lords”

This British farce knows no end. Alison Saunders, the director of public prosecutions, decided this week not to prosecute Lord Janner. Ms Saunders told the BBC that Lord Janner’s dementia was so severe that he could “play no part in a trial.”  Bizarre: previously, Ms Saunders said that there was enough evidence to prosecute the 86-year-old peer for 22 sex offences but that he was too sick to stand trial and that she had determined that there was “no ongoing risk to the public.”

Alison Saunders is correct. Lord Janner is probably too old to rape young boys. Perhaps he can’t ‘get it up’ while chasing minors at his stage in life. But shouldn’t the same rule apply to Oskar Groening? It is likely that the 93 year old German is also too old to serve as an ‘instrument,’ in a new Jewish holocaust.

US Lawmakers Quietly Advance Legislation to Penalize Boycott of I$raHell

Little-noticed amendment was included in controversial Fast Track trade bill that just passed the Senate Finance Committee

U.S. lawmakers are quietly advancing legislation that would penalize international participation in the growing movement to boycott, divest from, and sanction (BDS) Israel for human rights abuses against Palestinians.

With little notice, anti-BDS directives were injected into the “Fast Track” legislation that passed the Senate Finance Committee Wednesday night, despite broad opposition to the bill, which gives the administration of President Barack Obama authority to ram though so-called “free trade” deals.

An amendment, included in the bill and sponsored by Senator Ben Cardin (D-Md.), stipulates that, as a principle of trade negotiations, the U.S. should put pressure on other countries not to engage in BDS against Israel of any kind, including refusal to do businesswith settlements.

The passed amendment has not yet been made public, but Josh Ruebner, policy director for the U.S. Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation, told Common Dreams that Cardin’s officeconfirmed that the language was based on the Senate legislation S.619, which states:

To include among the principal trade negotiating objectives of the United States regarding commercial partnerships trade negotiating objectives with respect to discouraging activity that discourages, penalizes, or otherwise limits commercial relations with Israel, and for other purposes.

“They tried to sneak it through,” said Ruebner, explaining that the Campaign only found out about the legislation late Monday afternoon through “happenstance.”

According to Ruebner, the legislation is a “centerpiece” of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee’s (AIPAC) policy agenda and likely targets the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) agreement, currently under negotiation between the United States and European Union, which would also be affected by Fast Track legislation.

“This is putting pressure on the U.S. Trade Representative and whoever else is doing the negotiating to discourage attempts to enforce the European Union’s guidelines of not doing business with Israeli settlements,” he said.

This federal push is not only taking place in the Senate.

A similar piece of legislation was submitted last month to the House Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice. The United States-Israel Trade and Commercial Enhancement Act (H.R. 825) would require the U.S., in trade agreements, to “discourage politically motivated actions to boycott, divest from, or sanction Israel and to seek the elimination of politically motivated non-tariff barriers on Israeli commerce.”

The potential implications of such legislation extend far beyond the ongoing negotiations with the EU, as its language refers to all trade agreements.

Furthermore, it appears to be part of a nation-wide strategy to pass legislation at the stateand federal level to criminalize the call for BDS, which emerged from Palestinian civil society organizations in 2005 in a bid to win self-determination and freedom from occupation, using tactics similar to those levied to transform apartheid South Africa.

The U.S.-based organization Jewish Voice for Peace released a statement on Thursday condemning the advance of the legislation in the Senate: “From South Africa to the grape boycott to the Montgomery Bus Boycott, boycotts, divestment and sanctions (BDS) tactics have been essential tools used to create a more just society.”

But some say that the legislative push at the national level may, in fact, be an indication of the growing power of BDS movements.

Rabbi Joseph Berman, federal policy organizer for JVP, declared, “This legislation, which actually encourages illegal settlement building while strengthening the far right in Israel, shows that BDS is an increasingly powerful means to challenge Israel’s impunity when it comes to Palestinian rights.”
