On this day in 1985, the Red, White and Blue administration of Ronald Reagan illegally arranged for 96 anti-tank missiles to be sent to Iran.

What was Iran Contra?

For starters, it was high treason.

What happened?

The US illegally sold arms to Iran and then used the profits to illegally fund terrorists in Nicaragua in an attempt to undermine the government of that country.

And they traded guns for drugs too (though that part was left out of mainstream news reporting.)

The Arkansas branch of this criminal enterprise (Mena) put Bill Clinton on the map.

Note what fantastic and arrogant liars Oliver North and company are.

The short version:

Sea of Tears: The Tragedy of Families Split by the Korean War

‘How can there be a half-century of separation between brothers and sisters, between parents and children?’

This past July marked the 65th anniversary of the armistice that halted the Korean War. In addition to leaving nearly 5 million dead, injured, or missing, this bloody conflict forcibly separated nearly 10 million Korean families on either side of the 38th parallel.

Since the1980s, a mere 20 face-to-face reunions have been held under tightly controlled conditions, with the last such event occurring in 2015. These reunions are infrequent one-time events–no one has ever been given a second chance to see their relatives on the other side of the border. Family members who have been separated since the war are given a single opportunity to see long-lost loved ones for a few short hours, after which they must once again separate. In South Korea, the majority of the over 132,000 separated family members are 80 or older, and more than half of those applying for reunions between 1988 and 2018 have died without ever having had the chance to see their loved ones in the across the border. At this point, in order for all surviving separated family members to be able to see their relatives in the North at least once before they perish, a minimum of 7,300 reunions must occur per year.

As a result of the 2018 Panmunjom declaration, North and South Korea agreed to hold an additional reunion in August of this year. South Korea uses a lottery system to randomly select a small number of surviving family members for reunion events, and this year’s event will include only 98 elderly survivors from South. A journalist who was in attendance during the public screening for the initial participant pool described the Red Cross office where the event was held as “a sea of tears” echoing with the cries of grief-stricken elderly survivors who did not make the list.  One 95-year old man, recognizing this as his final opportunity to see his loved ones, begged the government to open the demilitarized zone for a single month so that all separated family members would have the chance to see their loved ones at least once. “I don’t remember how many times I applied.  President Moon and Chairman Kim can meet. Why can’t I meet my family in the North?” A 90-year-old woman refused to leave the building, pleading to be allowed to see the 3-year old daughter she left in North Korea over 68 years ago.

When I visited South Korea in May as part of an international peace delegation, I met a female peace activist whose elderly mother, a farmer in a South Korean border town, was separated from her family during the war.  She gave me a special gift: a handmade scarf upon which was inscribed a poem written by her mother.  While working the fields, her mother would gaze at her hometown across the border—easily visible on a clear day—wondering ceaselessly about the family she left behind more than six decades ago.

The Thousand-Mile River
Lee Bum-og

The narrow river separating us may as well be a thousand miles wide
I can see a home to which I cannot return
The Han River that meets the Imjin and the Yaesung flows to the ocean
It is said that humans are highest order of creation
But we are more wretched than any beast
Birds fly to their homes and return
To my eyes, birds scorn humans.

How can there be a half-century of separation between brothers and sisters, between parents and children?

Amid the rain of bombs,
I fled to save my life
The friends who fled have all dispersed here and there
With silvery hair they are soon to depart this world.
Can those who still live ever feel the soil of home beneath their feet?

Her searing poem depicts her life in a divided Korea as a state of permanent longing that is coming to a bitter end. For her and tens of thousands like her, every day counts. It is absolutely essential that we work to prioritize the regularization of North-South family reunions and the establishment of permanent venues in both North and South Korea for this purpose.

Trump Wouldn’t Have Let Her in the Country, But Ilhan Omar Is Likely Joining Congress

Ilhan Omar is humane where Trump is selfish. Ilhan Omar is high-minded where Trump is in the gutter. Let’s hope hers is the future — his the past.

State Rep. Ilhan Omar celebrated with her children after her primary victory in the race for Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District on Tuesday night. (Photo: Mark Vancleave/Star Tribune)

Ilhan Omar, a refugee and a Somali-heritage Muslim woman who veils, has won the Democratic primary for Minnesota’s Fifth District congressional seat, hoping to succeed Keith Ellison. The district, which includes Minneapolis, typically votes heavily Democratic, so she has a good shot at winning the seat.

Somalia is one of five Muslim-majority countries from which immigration is currently banned, though immigration is restricted from Venezuela (a few officials) and North Korea, as well. The actual targets of the ban are Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria and Yemen.

Under Trump administration policy, in other words, Ilhan Omar would not have been allowed to enter the country as an immigrant. Under Trump, she also would have been highly unlikely to be granted refugee status and asylum in the US. In 2016, the US admitted some 85,000 refugees, about evenly split between Christians and Muslims. Based on the first five months of this year, it is likely that the US will admit only 45,000 refugees in 2018, and that only 17% of them will be Muslim. The open racism and bigotry of this administration is already being enshrined in our immigration statistics. Legal immigration is on track to be cut 12% from Obama’s last year in office, and the number of Muslim immigrants has fallen by 33%– nearly three times as much as over-all immigration. European immigrants are slightly up, though still dwarfed by Asia and Latin America. It is remarkable that for all his rhetoric, Trump hasn’t managed substantially to cut legal immigration, and his own Republican Congress has rebuffed the bills he submitted to abolish certain kinds of immigrant visas.

But African immigration is down, and Muslim immigration is down, and Ilhan Omar is precisely the demographic that Trump (and his horrid mini-me Stephen Miller) have targeted.

Ilhan Omar did not win because she compromised but because she boldly took stances approved by the public, even if the class of cranky rich old white people thinks them utopian or too costly (something they never say about the Pentagon budget or our forever wars).

She is for medicare for all. She endorses abolishing ICE, which was only created in 2004.

Minneapolis is about 64% white, 5 percent Asian, and only 18% African-American, so Ms. Omar’s victory was in no way based on identity politics. She was largely elected by Protestants, Catholics and agnostics of European heritage.

Some voters interviewed by the Minneapolis Star Tribune said that they voted for her because they saw in her the vigor and the forcefulness to take on Trump.

Ilhan Omar is humane where Trump is selfish. Ilhan Omar is high-minded where Trump is in the gutter. Ilhan Omar stands for American unity across races and religions. Trump stands for a hierarchy, with white northern European Christians at the top and everyone else a second-class citizen or worse.

Ilhan Omar is the future of America. Trump is the last gasp of the 19th century Know-Nothing bigots.

Study Finds Cancer-Causing Weedkiller in Popular Oatmeal, Cereals, and Snack Bars

Glyphosate—It’s What’s for Breakfast: Study Finds Cancer-Causing Weedkiller in Popular Oatmeal, Cereals, and Snack Bars

Concerned that “President Trump’s lawless EPA” won’t take action to protect children from the chemical, EWG calls on companies to end use of glyphosate

Several Quaker Oats cereals were found to contain levels of glyphosate that the Environmental Working Group considers dangerous for children. (Photo: Simon D/Flickr/cc)

A study of dozens of popular oat-based breakfast foods delivered sobering news this week when almost all of the products examined by the Environmental Working Group (EWG) were found to contain the chemical glyphosate.

“We’re very concerned that consumers are eating more glyphosate than they know,” said Scott Faber, vice president of government affairs at EWG, in a statement.

Glyphosate is classified as a probable carcinogen by the World Health Organization and was listed last year as a chemical known to cause cancer by California.

Out of 45 products “made with conventionally grown oats,” all but two were found to contain glyphosate. EWG also tested two organic brands, detecting the chemical in five samples.

Thirty-one of the breakfast foods were found to contain levels of glyphosate that were higher than the level that EWG deems safe for children.

“Parents shouldn’t worry about whether feeding their children heathy oat foods will also expose them to a chemical linked to cancer.” —Alexis Temkin, EWGQuaker Simply Granola, Giant Instant Oatmeal, Quaker Dinosaur Eggs Instant Oatmeal, and Quaker Steel Cut Oats had some of the highest levels of the chemical.

Monsanto, the maker of Roundup, claims that glyphosate and Roundup are not unsafe for humans—but a jury in California vehemently disagreed with them last week, ruling in favor of a man who blamed Roundup for causing his cancer.

The company was ordered to pay $289 million in damages to Dewayne Johnson, who worked for years as a school groundskeeper in California.

Thousands of farm workers and others who have come into contact with Roundup are reportedly also preparing to take legal action against the company after developing cancer.

In light of the lawsuit and the World Health Organization’s 2015 conclusion that the chemical is a “probable carcinogen,” said EWG on Wednesday, “It is very troubling that cereals children like to eat contain glyphosate.”

“Parents shouldn’t worry about whether feeding their children healthy oat foods will also expose them to a chemical linked to cancer. The government must take steps to protect our most vulnerable populations,” said Alexis Temkin, Ph.D, a toxicologist at the organization.

However, EWG cautioned consumers against waiting for President Donald Trump’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to take any action in light of the startling study. In December the agency issued a “deeply flawed” analysis, one which relied heavily on industry studies, which claimedthat glyphosate is not harmful for humans.

“We will petition the Environmental Protection Agency to do its job and end uses of glyphosate that resulted in the contamination we report today,” EWG president Ken Cook said. “But we very much doubt our petition will be acted upon by President Trump’s lawless EPA. So we’re calling on the companies to make these iconic products with clean ingredients.”

UKROPIAN GRANDEUR: “Russia Will Choke On Blood”

Image result for Ukrainian NAZI CARTOON

– Ukrainian Deputy Minister boasts “increased military power”

If there’s one thing the delusions of Ukropia can bring out of a broken man like a broken army, is self-delusion among its non-combatant politicians.

We have to remember that this over-confidence is what hit the Ukrainians hard the first time, and was memorialized at massive blood-bath battles like Debaltsevo. In that conflict, Ukrainians took disproportionate losses perhaps not seen in modern warfare. This was the result of confusing foreign machinery and foreign support, for sound tactics and logistics.

The Deputy Minister “on issues of temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced persons” of Ukraine, Yuri Grymchak, threatens Russia with a “bloody” response.

According to him, two years ago he predicted a lot of losses from Kiev in the event of Russia’s attack on Ukraine. But now he is sure that the Ukrainian army is in a much better condition than before.

“Then I said that they would be overwhelmed by our own blood. Today it seems to me that in the event of an offensive, they will choke on their own blood,” he said in an interview with one of the Ukrainian media.

“Over the years, we have changed a lot in the army, in equipment, and in weapons,” he added.

According to Grymchak, “the situation is incomparable with 2014”.

“Then they had a chance for a more or less victorious” war “, but stopped, because the army did not run away, but began to resist and rebuff. For them, it was a surprise, and they did not dare go further. Now, if there is any kind of war, I get the impression that we will win it,” the deputy minister boasted.

These statements are at odds with what was just said by  retired colonel, ex-officer of the General Staff of the Supreme Council of Ukraine, Oleg Zhdanov – who just yesterday said in a public print interview, that the UAF was about to collapse.

Image result for Jonathan Azaziah CARTOON

by Jonathan Azaziah

by Jonathan Azaziah – We’re having Anti-Parasitic alphabet soup for breakfast, lunch and dinner today. PNAC. FPI. FDD. Know what they all actually spell? ‘Israel’! The Project for a New American Century was the nexus for all the Jewish-Zionist operatives within the American regime that plotted 9/11. Consider it Phase 1.0, with the targeting of Afghanistan and Iraq as well as the inauguration of the utterly fraudulent, entirely Judaic GWOT (Global War On Terror).

The Foreign Policy Initiative was 2.0, spearheading the Zio-NATO destabilizations of Syria and Libya. William Kristol, Robert Kagan, Dan Senor, Eric Edelman and Paul Wolfowitz led the way. And the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, headed by Mark Dubowitz with a gaggle of warmongers at his disposal, is 3.0. Their target is the Islamic Republic of Iran.

It isn’t a secret that the American-Canadian-South-African-‘Israeli’ Jew Dubowitz is a Zionist extremist and a fanatical Iranophobe who wants the Islamic Revolution liquidated almost as much as he wants to continue breathing. Even the Sulzberger family’s New York Times ran a piece called “He Was a Tireless Critic of the Iran Deal. Now He Insists He Wanted to Save It.” documenting that the FDD started out with the Hebrew name “Emet” before rebranding and is closely linked with Likudniks in the usurping Zionist entity.

Dubowitz and his psychopathic, regime-change-obsessed pals testified before Congress an unprecedented and insane 17 times during 18 months of congressional debate to kill the JCPOA before it even began. Then, in typical and chameleonic Jewish fashion, he pretended that his role was minute and anyone suggesting otherwise was a “conspiracist” and… OF COURSE… an “anti-Semite”.

Mind you, Dubowitz wasn’t opposed to the ultimate purpose of the JCPOA from the Western side — i.e. infiltrating and subverting the Iranian state — he just hated the idea of having to wait to burn those damned “Amalekites” to the ground in a slow roast. He wanted a full-on, modern-day-Purim barbecue, starting with the snapback of the sanctions regime with a little more juice (get it? Juice?!) to boost the Iranian people’s suffering. Marky the Maggot is a world-renowned sanctions “expert”, you know.

So he obviously knows what methods are best to make those pesky Persians submit to Global Zionism. Right?! PLEASE. Only in a world as Judaized as this one can a human being — at least an ostensible human being, I think the jury’s out on whether or not this horrible individual is of partial or whole demonic origin — advocate for an economic war that will lead to the besiegement, starvation and wanton pain of a nation of 80 million souls and the thrashing of one of Earth’s oldest civilizations… And be granted recognition and prestige for being an “expert”.

Also in quintessential and Talmudic fashion by the way was the NYT, which despite putting forth a seemingly solid bashing of Dubowitz — albeit from a Zio-Imperialist perspective — it still praised him for being “widely seen as understanding the multifarious mechanics of sanctions, a rare feat.” A sly way of keeping it all in the “chosenite” family and cosigning what Dubowitz and the FDD are doing amid a smokescreen of “criticism”.

What wasn’t in the the United Snakes of IsraHELL’s “paper of record” though… And what very few know (as it was only revealed — although just in passing — in a fawning, vomit-inducing Ynet profile called “The man who fights Iran”)… Is that Dubowitz studied in occupied Jerusalem’s Hebrew University, a hotbed of ‘Israeli’ intelligence activity.

After completing his stint on stolen land in Al-Quds, he then returned to Toronto where he worked for 8 years as a lawyer and a venture capitalist focused on start-ups. This is a strong indication that whilst at Hebrew University, Dubowitz was recruited into the illegitimate ‘Israeli’ regime’s mega-clandestine Talpiot program.

Talpions (graduates of Talpiot) are sent all over the world with start-ups or venture capital firms of their own and given the task of aggressively pursuing for-profit absorption by major Gentile-owned tech firms — as Jewish-owned companies like the Page-Brin Google behemoth, Zuckerscum’s Facebook and Marc Benioff’s Salesforce are already very much a part of Imperium Judaica — then establishing a backdoor within that corporation so ‘Israel’ can upload every little dirty secret to its vast, globe-covering surveillance framework.

If they aren’t in ownership positions, Talpions can also be inserted into Gentile-owned companies, using their extensive computer expertise as the perfect cover, and set out to achieve the same directive. Another function of Talpiot and its counterpart Unit 8200 is cyber sabotage. Which means, Dubowitz–considering how ingratiated he is with policy wonks and military officials in Washington that consult with him on sanctions–isn’t just a propagandist.

Apart from being an architect of the monstrous economic measures that will hurt Iranians in a plethora of ways, he’s a potential Talpion working hand-in-globe with the evillest apparatuses of the US ZOG and ‘Israel’ to possibly stage digital attacks on key points of Iran’s infrastructure. Dubowitz the “expert”? No. Dubowitz the Devil.

Now while Marky the Miscreant is no doubt the face of the FDD, the rest of the gang are equally Dajjalic. His partner and co-founder, the FDD President, Clifford May, is a torture enthusiast, pioneer of neocon “journalism”, harasser of Valerie Plame, former Vice Chairman of the Republican Jewish Coalition, an International Patron of the Henry Jackson Society, PNAC signatory and all-around tribalist-supremacist maniac. The “Leadership Council” consists of ex-chief of the CIA and the NSA Michael Hayden, Jewish supremacist terrorist Joseph Lieberman and top Shabbos Goy George P. Shultz, a recipient of the Theodor Herzl Award from the World Jewish Congress.

The first Senior VP is Toby Dershowitz, a vociferously anti-Iranian Jewess who specializes in spreading hasbara about Iran’s “reach” in Latin America. The other Senior VP is Jonathan Schanzer, a protege of vile Islamophobic bigwig Daniel Pipes and a former stalwart of AIPAC’s WINEP operation. “Regular” VP Lawrence Muscant is an ‘Israeli’ Foreign Ministry operative who previously worked for Jewish billionaire Seth Klarman’s David Project. The Board of Advisors is a who’s who of Zio-Imperialist gangsters, most notably Trilateral Commission trustee and NED Vice Chair Paul Dobriansky, thief of Iraqi money and whitewasher of Mossad’s attack on the USS Cole Juan Zarate, sanctions czar Adam Szubin’s right-hand man Daniel Glaser and notorious anti-Hizbullah deceiver Matthew Levitt. And then there is the cash. Indeed, follow the trail of money… Go, go! And in mere seconds, you’ll find Shlomo!

Zion’s gargantuan guns are pumping all kinds of dough into the FDD. Sitting at the peak are Home Depot founder Bernard Marcus, who has poured hundreds of millions of dollars into the ‘Israeli’ Democratic Institute (IDI), what the Jewish Virtual Library calls “the sole consulting think tank for the ‘Israeli’ army”, as well as AIPAC, JINSA, MEMRI, the ZOA, CUFI, AEI and more; neo-capitalist hedge fund vulture Paul Singer, who broke the back of the pro-Palestinian, counter-hegemonic, pro-Iranian Kirchner government in Argentina and who bankrolls JINSA, MEMRI, the CSP and anti-Tehran candidates in the House and the Senate; and casino tycoon Sheldon Adelson.

This dual-citizen lunatic called for an atomic bomb to be dropped on Iran and said that he wished he fought for the ‘Israeli’ terrorist army instead of the US military. Need we say more? These three Jewish-Zionist oligarchs were the pokers and prodders behind the Trump regime’s decision to abandon the JCPOA and recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the Zio-Tumor in what should rightfully be treated as a second (and arguably more criminal) Balfour Declaration.

Rounding out the rest of the cheese-givers is the foundation of Newton Becker, who dropped countless dollars on MEMRI, CAMERA, StandWithUs, the ZOA and the Simon Wiesenthal Center before dying and going to Jahannam; US Health Care founder Leonard Abramson, who is among the most prominent financiers of Birthright and an investor in the artificial Jewish regime’s Bank Hapoalim; and low creature on the totem poll but still needing of mention, the “Christian” Zionist Sarah Scaife Foundation. That such globeholders would infuse such capital in such an organization shows just how important to Organized Jewish Interests and its future plans the FDD really is.

Dubowitz’s outfit is a hawkish neocon think tank for certain, but like PNAC and the FPI before it, the FDD is much, much more than that. And damn dangerous. Additionally, it’s an unregistered foreign agent of ‘Israel’–one that seeks the total destruction of a sovereign nation (Iran) that never attacked the US and is on the forefront of fighting oppression and terrorism from one end of the planet to the other. An American-Iranian war will be the end of the US, as IRGC Quds Force Commander Hajj Qassem Suleimani recently warned.

That too is for certain. Understanding what the FDD is, who runs it, who heads it, who staffs it, who funds it and how it’s related to other tentacles of International Jewry like the aforementioned Talpiot and Unit 8200 along with the Mossad, will help avoid a calamity that will shake the world so bad that the shaking just might not ever stop. Iran, America’s poor and working class citizens and truly, Gentiledom at large have been through enough because of this serpentine entity called Zion.

We don’t need another war in the name of the “chosenoid” usurpers’ defeated “Eretz Yisrael” pipe dream. We don’t anymore blood spilled. So death to the FDD. And to the darkest, dankest, most disgusting dungeons fathomable with Dubowitz and every last one of his bloodthirsty coworkers who care not for anyone but their own parasitic hive.

Esra Al-Ghamgam BRUTALLY EXECUTED BY SAUDI Zio-Wahhabi family

TEHRAN – Saudi sources as well as human rights sources of various stripes have confirmed the reporting that the Saudi human rights activist, Esra al-Ghamgam, was executed on the KSA’s prosecutor’s orders on Sunday.

A video, which FRN is in possession of, but out of respect to the deceased, will not share,  shows an executioner placing her in prone position on the ground before decapitating her with a sword, as security forces stood by. This was a gruesome display of the barbarity of the Saudi kingdom, mirrored in the identical practices of the Al Qaeda and ISIS outfits which they have been supporting in both global terrorism and in their war against Syria and Yemen.

Esra al-Ghamgam was detained, alongside her husband Seyyed Musa Ja’afar Hashem, during a horrifying security raid on their house in the mainly Shia region of Qatif in Eastern Province on December 8, 2015. She has been in prison ever since, and was convicted in the KSA’s kangaroo courts of crimes amounting to disrespecting the royal Saudi family.

In addition, citing the Twitter account, the London-based al-Quds al-Arabi newspaper reported earlier that her detention had come in response to her “anti-establishment” activities. These anti-establishment activities include ‘sectarian’ activities, such as being a person of the Shia faith in Islam, in the Sunni, Salafist oriented state.

It was revealed to FRN that the activist used to take part in peaceful protests in the region in support of democracy and release of political prisoners.

Upon her verdict on August 16th, Shia Rights Watch was quoted with this official statement:

“Shia Rights Watch is extremely concerned as Israa al-Ghamgham, a detainee and a female Shia rights activist is sentenced to the death penalty for her involvement in peaceful demonstrations in Qatif.

Al-Ghamgham is the first woman to be sentenced to the death penalty and that raises the concern in regards to Saudi’s elevating Shia rights violations. The Saudi regime has arrested a number of women from the Eastern Province with political involvement accusations, including Naima Al-Moustoud, Fatimah Nassif, Nasima Al-Sada and others. Despite frequent arrests, al-Ghamgham is the first ever female sentenced to the death penalty.

Al-Ghamgham was arrested by Saudi forces with her husband, Musa Jafar al-Hashim, on December 8, 2015, after a raid on their home. Al-Ghamgham has been detained in the General Intelligence Prison in Dammam, where she has been charged with recruitment in Qatif.

Shia Rights Watch said that, “while the international community praised gender equality for female drivers, anti-Shia violence in the Kingdom has been long ignored. As Saudi women are given the freedom to drive and play an active role in society, Shia women are not only arrested for seeking freedom of religion but now punished with unheard of sentences for women in this Kingdom.”

Al-Ghamghams death sentences raised immediate concerns for women of religious minorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. SRW invites the international committee to take immediate action to stop al-Ghamgham’s sentence as it can open the door to more executions for women in Saudi Arabia.

The kingdom’s Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman has been trying to portray himself as the champion of social reformation and a liberalizing figure. Yesterday’s execution stands as a stark reminder that ‘reform’ and ‘liberalization’ have been the KSA’s standard marketing towards western media audiences since the 1950’s. In reality, little progress has happened, and the gulf monarchy continues to justify itself upon their fact of existence. They were placed in power by the British Empire after the Ottoman Empire was routed from the Arabian Peninsula.

Back in May, he lifted the kingdom’s ban on female driving but shortly before it, Saudi security forces went on an arrest spree of female activists, including some of the people who had supported the removal of the ban.

The campaigners are reportedly still behind bars, with both the arrests and continued detentions drawing outspoken criticism from international rights groups.

Esra al-Ghamgam will now in all likelihood  be considered a martyr within Shia communities around the world. Her work and memory will live on as an example to resistance to the brutal and greedy Saudi monarchy, who are renown for their subservience to the United States and Israel, and their betrayal of Pan-Arab nationalist, socialist, and anti-imperialist Shia movements in the Middle-East and Levant.

Saudi Zio-Wahhabi family beheads female activist

Saudi Zio-Wahhabi sources are reporting public beheading of a female activist, who had spent three years in detention for criticising the kingdom’s rulers.

Saudi Arabia beheads female activist in public: Report

The Thefreethoughts Twitter account and other Saudi sources said the female, named as Esra al-Ghamgam, was executed on the prosecutor’s orders on Sunday19.8.2018..

It shared a video showing an executioner fixing her in a recumbent position on the ground before decapitating her with a sword as security forces stood by.

Ghamgham was detained alongside her husband Seyyed Musa Ja’afar Hashem during a security raid on their house in the mainly Shia region of Qatif in Eastern Province on December 8, 2015.

Citing the Twitter account, London-based al-Quds al-Arabinewspaper reported earlier that her detention had come in response to her “anti-establishment” activities.

It said the activist used to take part in peaceful protests in the region in support of democracy and release of political prisoners.

The kingdom’s Zio-Wahhabi Mohammad bin Shalom Bin Yahood has been trying to portray himself as the champion of social reformation and a liberalizing figure.

Back in May, he lifted the kingdom’s ban on female driving but shortly before it, Saudi Zio-Wahhabi security forces went on an arrest spree of female activists, including some of the people who had supported the removal of the ban.

The campaigners are reportedly still behind bars, with both the arrests and continued detentions drawing outspoken criticism from international rights groups.

Yet, some sources denied the event, attributing the video shared to a Myanmari woaman accused of murdure by the Zio-Wahhabi regime.

The video gone viral in social media has provoked a lot of debates and angry reactions.

As America Burns From Climate Change, Trump Officials Attend Denial Conference to Discuss Why Climate Change is Fake

Trump represents the last chance for the fossil fuel industry to wreck this planet

The disconnect could not be greater. As wild-fires raged across the US last week, inflamed by climate change, Trump officials attended the America First Energy Conference, where delegates heard age-old fossil fuel arguments that, amongst others, carbon dioxide makes the planet greener and could not be creating a climate crisis.

The conference comes after an unprecedented heat wave in the  Northern hemisphere. Scientists are warning that this summer’s heatwave is caused by climate change, which is turn has caused unprecedented temperatures and wild-fires from Canada, to Greece, Sweden and the US. Indeed this summer’s heatwave was made more than twice as likely by climate change, according to a rapid assessment by scientists.

Some scientists are even warning that we are descending into “hothouse earth”, where a series of positive feedback mechanisms could trigger even more extreme warming.

A record number of Americans now believe that humans are causing climate change, too.

A record number of Americans now believe that humans are causing climate change, too. The latest survey by the University of Michigan Muhlenberg College revealed that “a record 60% of Americans now think that global warming is happening and that humans are at least partially responsible for the rising temperatures.”

These high temperatures continue to cause massive wildfires with over 100 major active blazes in the US right now. Some 30,000 personnel are battling wildfires that have devastated over 1.6m acres (648,000 hectares) of land.

Meanwhile the climate dinosaurs continue as if nothing is happening. They deny the science and evidence as the flames get ever closer.

The conference was organised by the leading climate denial think tank, Heartland Institute (picture is a screengrab of its website) which has been regurgitating the same climate denial old rubbish – what we now would now call “fake news” – for the last two decades. It has received significant funding from Exxon and the Koch Brothers to do so.

But all their climate denial friends were there too, according to Reuters, including speakers from JunkScience, the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow, and the Center For Industrial Progress and officials from the U.S. Department of Interior and the White House.

The panels included sessions on “Carbon Taxes, Cap & Trade, and Other Bad Ideas,” “Fiduciary Malpractice: The Sustainable Investment Movement,” and “Why CO2 Emissions Are Not Creating A Climate Crisis.”

Another one of the ludicrous conspiracy theories peddled at the conference was “that the United Nations puts out fake science about climate change to control the global energy market”. Oh and they hate renewable energy too, calling wind and solar energy “dumb”.

According to Reuters, the U.S. officials who attended included White House Special Assistant Brooke Rollins, Interior Department Assistant Secretary Joe Balash, and Jason Funes, an assistant in the office of external affairs at Interior. All “praised the administration’s moves to clear the way for oil industry activity”.

Tim Huelskamp, president and CEO of the Heartland Institute, closed the seminar by stating the person who had made the difference to the climate deniers was Donald Trump. “We have a President who has kept his promises. It proves that one man can make a difference”. He called Trump “our last political chance at freedom.”

What they call freedom, we call wildfires. When they see freedom, we see sea-level rise.

And in many ways he is right. Trump represents the last chance for the fossil fuel industry to wreck this planet. What they call freedom, we call wildfires. When they see freedom, we see sea-level rise.

Huelskamp told Reuters that “The leftist claims about sea level rise are overblown, overstated or frankly just wrong.”

Ironically the conference was held in New Orleans, which was once ravaged by Hurricane Katrina. As Reuters – not normally seen as left-wing conspiracy theorists – noted: “Evidence of sea level rise, however, is strewn across the state that hosted the conference.”

The panel speakers are so blinkered in their climate denial they do not notice what is happening right now. They may look, but they cannot see. On the speaker’s lectern was the strapline “freedom rising”. Maybe someone should have just written “sea-level rising” instead.

Alex Jones Is Far From the Only Person Tech Companies Are Silencing

Facebook, Twitter, Apple and other companies routinely silence voices in marginalized communities around the world that struggle to be heard in the first place, replicating their offline repression

We’re finally having a public debate about the big Internet platforms policing content and suspending accounts. But it’s a serious mistake to frame the debate about content moderation around right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’s Infowars and not around the thousands of other moderation decisions that have been made by such online giants as Apple, Facebook, Google-owned YouTube and Spotify.

Internet companies have removed millions of posts and images over the past decade and suspended hundreds, perhaps thousands, of user accounts. These silenced voices span the political spectrum and the globe: Moroccan atheists, women discussing online harassment, ads featuring crucifixes, black and Muslim activists reposting racist messages they received, trans models, drag performers, indigenous women, childbirth images, photos of breast-feeding. Platforms have taken down documentation of war crimes in Syria, Myanmar and Kashmir, arrests in North Dakota and police brutality across the United States.

We should be extremely careful before rushing to embrace an Internet that is moderated by a few private companies by default, one where the platforms that control so much public discourse routinely remove posts and deactivate accounts because of objections to the content. Once systems like content moderation become the norm, those in power inevitably exploit them. Time and time again, platforms have capitulated to censorship demands from authoritarian regimes, and powerful actors have manipulated flagging procedures to effectively censor their political opponents. Given this practical reality, and the sad history of political censorship in the United States, let’s not cheer one decision that we might agree with.

Moderation systems operate in secret with no public accountability

Even beyond content moderation’s vulnerability to censorship, the moderating process itself, whether undertaken by humans or, increasingly, by software using machine-learning algorithms, is extremely difficult. Awful mistakes are commonplace, and rules are applied unevenly. Company executives regularly reshape their rules in response to governmental and other pressure, and they do so without significant input from the public. Ambiguous “community standards” result in the removal of some content deemed to have violated the rules, while content that seems equally offensive is okay.

Moderation systems operate in secret with no public accountability. We’re pretty sure we know why Infowars was suspended , but in many cases the decisions are far more opaque. And unlike Jones, few of the others have powerful multimedia operations with an audience in the millions that will simply move to using an app when other venues become unavailable, as is happening with Infowars. Facebook, Twitter, Apple and other companies routinely silence voices in marginalized communities around the world that struggle to be heard in the first place, replicating their offline repression.

The palpable public momentum for private companies to do something to more actively moderate the content that appears on their sites is worrisome. And it’s worrisome even though I share the concerns — about disinformation, extremism, harassment — motivating it.

We must also not lose sight of the fact that while the dominant social media platforms are largely based in the United States, the majority of their users are based outside the country, and the policies the platforms adopt here have outsize influence elsewhere. If content moderation is here to stay, existing human- rights standards provide a framework for policies that companies could and should voluntarily implement to protect their users.

There have been several worthy efforts to articulate a human-rights framing for content moderation. One framework, which the organization where I work, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, played a part in formulating, is found in the Santa Clara Principles . These principles advance three key goals: numbers (companies should publish the number of posts removed and accounts suspended); notice (companies should provide notice and an explanation to each user whose content is removed); and appeal (companies should provide a meaningful opportunity for timely appeal of any content removal or account suspension).

David Kaye, the special rapporteur for the United Nations on the promotion and protection of the right to free expression, recommended in a recent report that private companies — and governments — should as a routine matter consider the impact that content moderation policies have on human rights. He recommends that governments not pressure private companies to implement policies that interfere with people’s right to free expression online.

The power that these platforms have over the online public sphere should worry all of us, no matter whether we agree or disagree with a given content decision. A decision by any one of them has a huge effect. Even worse, if other companies move in lock step, a speaker may effectively be forced offline.

Transparency in these companies’ content-moderation decisions is essential. We must demand that they apply their rules consistently and provide clear, accessible avenues for meaningful appeal.
